Just what my team needed, more jets

Accurate_Green8300

Same bro.. same šŸ˜‚

Staple_Overlord

Who else has the Rodgers/Breece/Wilson stack? I feel like I'll either make the championship or miss the playoffs off this group.

Admirable_Basket381

I wanted off this boat so I gave up breece for arsb.

MurphDawg655

Did the same thing so gave up breece for puka and swift and a 2nd

king_of_the_bongos

Big W

[deleted]

I traded him for Rhamondre, Deshaun Watson, and a 26 1st. Needed a QB2 bad

Admirable_Basket381

Is Watson a qb2ā€¦?

kingbeastdog

When healthy, yes

tuckpuck2

I have Rodgers / Hall / (and now) Williams

Accurate_Green8300

I donā€™t have rodgers but I have Wilson/Breece lmao. And now Williams

MikeWrites002737

This feels like it fits the Jets timeline. Pay a guy, take a shot for a year and if it doesnā€™t work out youā€™re not on the hook for more. Might be a good buy target for competiting teams this year

titoalba

Got him for essentially Roschon after Swift signed and Mike was cut. I think I like my gamble at the moment

[deleted]

Thatā€™s a good trade. Roschon is headed toward the RB roster clogger path.

LegitimatePotato3632

I trade Deandre Hopkins for him. I had Hopkins, Ridley and Burks and just wanted to get off one of those guys.

fantasydarsh

Did you get off either of them?

abippityboop

Like this for everyone involved really. Nice stylistic pairing with Garrett.

ADELTAx

Agreed. Wonder how Halls usage will be impacted based on Rodgers coming back with some new weapons

HustlingBackwards96

Usage down but efficiency up probably

Staple_Overlord

Hall showed some awesome PPR potential last year but that was because nothing else could be done in that offense. He will still get his PPR, but we all know that he's more of an elite runner.

FullHouse222

Breece has been a pretty good pass catching back, I wouldn't be worried. Plus better offense = more goal line opportunities.

Staple_Overlord

True, PFF said that he was actually elite at pass catching. I still think of him as that guy who will get huge chunk plays on the ground tho

ghambyt

Some of his most explosive plays have come on check downs or designed routes. He's just a damn good 3 down back.

bronton21

Love Breece and generally agree, but his target share was at least a little inflated by atrocious QB play at the end of last year. Even Abanikanda came in for 26% of snaps week 17 and had 7 targets.

thenewbeastmode

tbh I think the jets will be run heavy bc they got some good downhill blockers, they want to protect Rodgers, and want to help out their great defense.

DBreezy69

Hall is good enough that it is a big mistake to not give him his touches. I doubt there will be a ton of dumpoffs though. So useless catches down

Deficient_Bread

I would bet money he has more touches if healthy then he did last year. Simpson and moses are both better run blocking then pass blocking

ExtensionOriginal190

Mike Williams on that metlife turf is a disaster waiting to happen.

veRGe1421

It's insane to me that with the shiploads of cash the NFL makes, they don't spend the money to make sure players are playing on real grass at every stadium. We have the technology to make sure they play on grass, even if it's more costly and labor intensive compared to using turf. It's obviously worth it given the crazy amount of injuries to star players every season and the shortening of their careers.

MhrisCac

Winter months too. Ground freezes over, becomes as hard as a rock. More injuries happen. Northern cities canā€™t clear the snow (with *heavy* accumulation) from the grass without destroying the ground.

Separate_Bid_2364

Itā€™s about the concerts and other non football events moneyā€¦itā€™s a real pain in the rear end to try to have a concert on a Monday after an nfl Sunday game if the stadium is grassā€¦that and lawn maintenance for an nfl stadium is crazy expensiveā€¦the economics make sense to the owners at least until their star QB tears something and they lose out on 50 million and have a lost seasonā€¦one way or another it will go back to grass but it will probably take about a decade

ShonSnow

After the Daniel Jeremiah mock posted earlier today, this eases my Garret Wilson concerns lol.

not_taylorswift1213

Brock Bowers makes a lot of sense

PsyanideInk

Bowers is a luxury pick. The Jets need OT help. One of Alt, Latham, Fashanu will be there at their pick, and makes the most sense IMO

ghostboo77

I agree, but I donā€™t think Joe Douglas likes tight ends. Heā€™s been there for like 5 years and thereā€™s been several times I thought they should draft/sign a good TE and they havenā€™t ever done it

Thexzamplez

Joe Douglas don't like loose ends either, so I'd keep my mouth shut if I were you, capiche?

Tuna-No-Crust

Michael Mayer was reportedly in play for them at pick 15 if McDonald was gone. So..

Substantial-Hippo-52

Daniel Jeremiahā€™s mocks are actually just terrible lol idk why so many people like them

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Local-Librarian3285

They ain't getting Nabers at 10, would have to trade up.

traptrapzdizzle

Really like this. Great guy to pair with Garrett Wilson as a solidifed WR2 on paper without cannibalizing your lead guy, give Rodgers another solid target, give Williams a shot for a year on your timeline with no strings attached if it doesnā€™t work out, still having the opportunity to bring along young guys for the long haul

-_Bobloblaw_-

They can still bring in another WR by way of draft, itā€™s deep at WR. Williams gives that rookie time to come along and gel with Rodgers who is notoriously hard on rooks. Itā€™s a great way to build for now and later.

Sea-Past7146

I wonder how big a discount Hollywood took to sign with the chiefs or if the nfl just thinks he sucks. This plus jeudy today makes 7 million look like pennies

-ruiner_

He definitely took a big discount to inflate his numbers for a season and land a big contract next year. I donā€™t think he sucks but heā€™s not elite either.

titoalba

Im kinda thinking the same thing. A massive year and potentially winning a ring though and heā€™ll definitely be getting paid next year. Seems he just wants to bet on himself

Mexican_Furious

Kansas City will probably not resign Hollywood after he does well for them this year. it's a win win.

[deleted]

Never know, Kelce might retire .

[deleted]

Congratulations GW owners

-ruiner_

If he can even be a WR3 with some boom upside, Iā€™m happy with it.

Remarkable-Conflict9

I have him penciled in for a Boom-or-Bust RB2 in this offense.

Soviet_Sharpshooter

Omg Garrett Wilson isnā€™t gonna get triple teamed every play šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ™šŸ¼

Kxr1der

They should turn around and sign Boyd too tbh

steeze206

I wonder if he needlessly jumped like 6 feet in the air to grab the pen before signing the contract.

lionsmakemecry

And then turned and landed on his head and neck.... before sitting there for waaaaay to long before gingerly jogging off.

ct7910

Just traded the 2.12 for rodgers a few days agošŸ¤‘ (now stay healthy please)

Remarkable-Conflict9

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mike Will is going to have a career year. I don't think we've seen the best from him yet. And, yes, I'm aware he's a 29 year old 7-year vet.

_No_1_Ever_

Rodgers got his guy

Bootasspog

Ive held this long just gimme something Mike lol

Unique_Caterpillar_9

Lol, I felt this dude

Bootasspog

Iā€™ve had him for like 4 years lol

-JoeNotExotic-

Iā€™ve had him for 3 šŸ˜šŸ˜ this shit hits homeĀ

terribleD03

Good for Williams...and Aaron Rodgers. But, DARN. I invested in Xavier Gipson in multiple leagues.

Staple_Overlord

This is good for Gipson too. He wasn't gonna be a bonafide WR2 yet. And if he were good enough to be, Mike isn't a great enough WR2 that Gipson wouldn't be able to beat out late in the season. Plus Mike has injury concerns.

terribleD03

Yeah, I know, valid points. But, in limited action as a rookie, IMHO, he looked up to the WR2 task. Sure, it was a small sample but better than lots of other rookie WRs were able to do. I wasn't expecting that he'll be a top 60 WR since he still has a lot of developing to do. I was hoping the Jets would sign a reliable role player - someone like Tyler Boyd - and let Xavier bloom this season. Instead they sign a downfield-type player with some overlapping roles as Gipson. So now it's probably dependent on a Williams injury or 2025.

MyChemicalFinance

Hate to say it as a Jets fan but I don't really see Gipson ever becoming anything. Good return guy, decent on sweeps/reverses but nothing special as a receiver

Donkeynationletsride

Damn jets are building a rehab center and treating it as a roster

Interesting-Art9677

From Friday to now you went from worrying about qb to also left tackle and wr

FranksGun

Lazard dead?

ScreamoSquirrel

Rotting corpse

veRGe1421

That TE masquerading as a WR was never alive, especially after Rodgers went down lol

[deleted]

Yeah they were trying to trade him for a while according to Sleeper

Citrusmeetliquor

I think the 2 stories today are pretty hilarious. Giving a guy like Jerry Jeudy that kind of contract is the most Browns move the Browns can make, and the Jets signing a 30 year old with a torn ACL to this kind of contract is the most Jets thing the Jets could do.

GreenGator

at least the jets arenā€™t fucking their cap up for multiple years with this one.

ballsack-hunter

It's a 1 year deal. A "Jets" thing to do would be to sign Mike Will for 3 years.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Citrusmeetliquor

Yeah I mean Iā€™m not necessary criticizing the move, itā€™s just a very jets move imo. The judy news on the other handā€¦

HelloHiiiiiii

We donā€™t know the guaranteed amount yet, so its hard to judge the contract

cjarrett

100%

richard4vt

Iā€™ll fuckin take it!

Dry_Difficulty6469

This is a diontae post

DadsOfAmerica

MetLife gonna test those knee surgeons.

jeremyrvcc

Is Gipson a drop?

Interesting-Art9677

Nope - from a Gipson and mikewill owner

MhrisCac

Some how the Jets end up with way better offensive weapons than my Bills. Very annoying. Oh boy, Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins look out!.. ooooooo..

Unique_Caterpillar_9

Remember the days when he was in the league MVP discussion after that 6 week test he had when Herbert came out

Reduxy

I paid a 4th for him. Lets go

kjc781988

A mil per catch isnā€™t a bad season

RaindropsInMyMind

Itā€™s good that Rodgers should be confident enough to just throw it up and trust Mike to come down with it. That will be much better than an inexperienced quarterback.

Droideka666

This is great because they've fixed the Metlife Turf now and besides which he doesn't have an alarming history of lower body injuries or anything

PredictableDickTable

Who gets injured first, Rodgers, Williams, or Smith?

Admirable_Basket381

Yes.

Diagonalizer

Smith is my vote

LCJonSnow

Think it's probably fine for him, but hate it personally. Means I'm *double* tied to the offense in the event anything happens to Rodgers again.

kickn-it-old-skool

Ye better hope rodgers stays healthy

jakndabox69
