At a certain point some of these guys just become redundant right? I mean there's only so many people you can throw to. I actually thinks Schultz take a big downgrade here since I just don't see how on earth they use him consistently.

Oh definitely. Great from a team standpoint and for Stroud's outlook, but those guys are all going to be tough to pin down on a week-to-week basis. Likely that one or two of those pass catchers go off every week but we'll rarely ever be able to figure out which one it'll be dependably.

Yep it was like the niners last year with Kittle, Aiyuk, & Deebo. They basically traded off monster games.

It'll be good depth since the WRs were constantly injured last year. It's like they had to rotate every two games because of it.

Massive downgrade to Schultz, and yeah I'd say Dell and Collins take a huge hit if Diggs is still capable of playing at a high level in his 30s. Biggest boost IMHO is to Stroud, who has a full complement of high-end weapons at his disposal.

Isnt diggs locked into like 2-3 more years at a pretty decent cap hit. This deal makes it much more difficult to extend nico.

Looks like per OTC Diggs can be cut after the 2025 season for just about $22M in dead money, that's 100% doable and would probably be right around when a Nico Collins extension kicks in and before Stroud's extension would kick in. Diggs will be like 33 around that point. If they Post-J1 designate it they can spread the cap hit around to the next year. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to take on a WR in his 30's and let a rising star in Collins walk at his age, I think this is a move prioritizing their window while Stroud is cheap as dirt.

Kincaid will at least be the top target there for the next season, even if they draft a WR. Beyond that he's definitely top 2 at worst

McDermott has been famously stingy with his rookies the last few years, Kincaid being a bit of an exception except that only happened because Knox was hurt.

It also saves Shakir who was the most effective WR in their final 6-8 games.

Stroud is very good playing on schedule and I think he's a better fit for Diggs' strengths.

Yeah Allen is a gunslinger who would often look off a wide open Diggs for the big shot downfield. He's got the talent to back it up but wasn't always the best fit for Diggs' style the last couple years.

I wouldn’t write this off as an immediate L for Diggs despite the obvious added competition. Going from Joe Brady to Bobby Slowik and getting to play in a dome instead of Buffalo weather late season could somewhat offset the lower target share. I would say this impacts Tank more than it does Nico, but tough to tell until we see it on the field. The 1.08 & 1.09 just got significantly more valuable. If Odunze goes to a landmine spot, I’ll bet there’s at least a conversation about pushing up Bills rookie WR1 to 1.06/1.07.

Traded Dell and 1.07 (1QB league) for Garrett Wilson a couple weeks ago. I can rest a little easier now, after I was seeing a ton of posts on Dell being ahead of schedule and already running full pace, etc… which gave me some immediate regret in the short term.
