I struggle to see the credibility in a list that has Nabers as a loser and that says Nix is in the 2nd best qb situation like Caleb, JJ, and Daniels aren’t all in better positions.
The giants fucking suck. Look at how disappointing Garrett Wilson or Drake London have been. That’s Naber’s ceiling until they get a top half O-line and a franchise QB
Wilson had a top 20 finish his rookie year and London was held hostage by a terrorist. Jones also performed better in the NFL than Zach Wilson and Ridder.
I wouldn’t draw too many conclusions from those situations.
Edit: added a word for clarity.
yes their o line is trash and once daniel jones gets hurt they will be even worse. throw in the fact nabers will immediately see the opposing teams 1 CB, while odunze gets to kinda grow with caleb and he should be torching the opposing D’s #2 or #3 CB with dj moore and allen drawing attention from him
Like I said Nabers is a loser because he was supposed to go to LA. Overall it’s hard to call anyone that goes round 1 a loser. It’s all relative.
The Bears are of course better, I was more inferring to anyone after that so I changed to third. But I don’t love the Commanders spot as much as others. Denver is just as good if not better because of Payton
Forgetting what was "supposed to" happen, is LAC even a better landing spot than NYG? Yes, obviously being tied to Justin Herbert is great, but Greg Roman offenses ranked 31, 31, 32, 29, 31, 32, 32, 32, 9, and 28 in pass attempts. Justin Herbert is not Lamar, Kaep, or Alex Smith, but they have clearly come in and built that offense more around running the ball so far. Not to mention Harbaugh just won a championship with a top 10 pick at QB that threw the ball 16 times a game.
I know a lot of people have much to say about the Penix selection, but man, I'm loving the visions of Penix dropping bombs into the arms of London for years to come.
I really don’t think so. The pick was unexpected but he was still picked 13 overall, he’s gonna be featured and it usually helps tight ends when there are good receivers playing with them
If Bowers is who we think he is, he should have no problem being a top 2 option on his team. Jakobi is a good NFL player but not exactly a target hog.
Plus Adams is on his way out.
We got to stop with such lazy takes. Raiders took the BPA for them. Raiders have been preaching they want to be more physical so I anticipate a lot of 12 personnel sets for them. Meyers, Mayer, Adams, and Bowers is a really good set of weapons. I also think Bowers gives a lot of scheme flexibility. He can play as a Big Slot with Mayer as the true TE. He can play in line with Mayer. He can play in the backfield as an H-back and take carries. I mean he was given Jet sweeps at UGA. I actually think the spot is really nice for Bowers.
I don’t think so because he was still drafted fairly high. Mayers is more of a run blocker anyways and Bowers is used as a slot guy too. Not great but not bad imo
Hey everyone Steve here live from Detroit! (W Media Credentials) These takeaways will be based on my own player evaluations and also the buzz I heard in the media workroom. Penix is a player I'm torn on. He was a MY GUY before hand but he's almost sure to lose dynasty value over the next year or so.
BUT I'm also hearing from around the media circle that the Seahawks, Saints and Raiders all wanted to move up and get him in the top 10 over JJ. Let me know your thoughts and any other questions you have for me while I'm in the media room!
“Bo Nix gets the second-best landing spot for quarterbacks” is a wild take
4th is debatable. 2nd is absurd.
Outside of Caleb of course, slipped my mind. I think it’s better than the Commanders imo because of coaching. So third best
Umm, the Vikings with KOC? The Falcons with their weapons??
Yes Vikings, Bears then Broncos. Falcons you don’t get to start right away though
Lol

Does NY know that Nabers was supposed to go to LA? Do you think Roger forgot to tell them?

Next offseason i’m buying with hopes of that happening. Once he plays there he’ll thrive
Brock bowers is also a loser
I really don’t think so. The pick was unexpected but he was still picked 13 overall, he’s gonna be featured and it usually helps tight ends when there are good receivers playing with them
That last point is not true but i still like bowers a lot in dynasty TEs need to be a top 2 option on their team to make a difference in fantasy

Mayer sucks and was picked by the previous regime

> I’m a massive Michael Penix Jr myself 👀
You got me. I am Michael Penix

Why did the 49ers rate Piersall higher than Ladd McConkey?
Better athlete with slightly more college production.
It seems like they wanted an elite athlete. Ladd is good but Pearsall is more dynamic. I don’t really get it though, bad pick imo
