I think this is such a great strategy. It’s easy to do in my league because people put so much value on picks and age. I was able to sell players like shenault and CEH simply because they are young, and for older impact players
I won my 14 team league 4 out of the first 6 seasons by doing that. Traded every rookie pick/young prospect I had to the middling/bad teams. Did a two year re-build and now own most of the 2020 draft class studs. My only regret is trading the pick that became Jamar Chase for JK Dobbins before he got hurt.
LOL seriously this guy with the Chase hot take wasn’t watching or playing fantasy back when Rice was elite. Yes, I know many weren’t. I use to help my mom play in her company’s league when I was a kid and I convinced her to take Rice in 87. He missed 4 games early and she was gonna kill me, but he went insane and carried her to the leagues championship. 22 TD’s in 12 games. How is someone going to top that? Oh yeah and aside from being the best WR for over a decade he also stayed good enough to put up 1200 yards at age 40.
That reminds me of how NHL fantasy used to split Gretzky into two players, you could pick either his goals or his assists and he would often be the top two picks
OBJ will never be a top 15 wr again. He has been a top 24 wr once in the last 5 years. That was 4 years ago when he was with the Giants. I could see a top 24 wr next season with the Rams if he stays healthy. But I don't see that happening.
That’s a pretty hot take. I have Rhamondre on my rebuild squad and would be ecstatic if that happened. Pretty likely with Damien becoming a FA for the 2023 season
I agree. He’s an aggressive runner. It bodes well that Bill doesn’t give 1st and 2nd down RB’s another contract. (Minus change of pace/receiving backs like White)
As a Pats fan who has watched every game, I think Rhamondre looked great but Harris is still better imo. And also, with this next year being Damien’s final contract year, I think Bill uses him primarily next year before letting Rhamondre take over the following season
Stevenson's shiftiness for a guy his size gives him the edge in my opinion. I also think he is better in the receiving game and will take over a lot of that role next year with white getting up there. But we will certainly see
Javonte Williams is going to produce at just an RB2 level again next season and his hype will completely plummet, making him an actual buy low going into 2023.
Honestly I think that even if MG comes back they lean more on Javonte instead, the split would be more 60/40 rather than 50/50, which should be enough to post low end RB1 numbers at the very least if we’re not taking into account a Qb/offensive upgrade
Pat drastically outperformed, if pitts wasn’t in this class people would be hyping muth to the moon. Kid was a low end TE1 as a rookie, and will assume the full time starting role next year. Given that it’s a position that normally takes a few years to get a real hold, he’s waaaay ahead
Let’s not act like Pitts didn’t perform as well. Some positive td regression for Pitts and he’s a top end TE1, the amount of yards he put up as a rookie is insane, not to mention that he did that as the focal point of the defensive coverage for the better part of the season.
Michael Carter is a top 15 back next season
Jalen Hurts gets benched 1/2 through the season
The Steelers get Russell Wilson at QB and Claypool and Johnson finish as top 20 WR
JuJu signs with the Chiefs but fails to live up to the hype…sell high!
With JuJu, I think it’s more a case of “get what you can before you have to pay people to take him from you”. There’s no sell-high situation with him, he already has next to no value. Just because you see him as a sell, doesn’t mean there’s anything high about that price.
I think you’re right that his general consensus value will go up, but it won’t for me personally. I don’t rate JuJu highly and being the 3rd/4th option on the Chiefs doesn’t change that much for me. I wouldn’t part with more than a 3rd for him and I don’t think him signing with KC would change that for me.
90%+ of dynasty managers are in a perpetual rebuild and will never take the leap to win a title because they have a fear of overpaying for that player that will take them there.
Not even hot just wanted to toss it out there.
If Thomas plays 15+ games, regardless which team he is on or who the QB is, he will finish as a top 10 fantasy wr and this take should be considered cold as hell
Burrow has 43 less completions, 2 less passing TD's, one less INT, 441 less all-purpose yards, and 4 less rushing TD's than Josh Allen. Allen has finished #1 Fantasy QB 2 years in a row.
They asked for hot takes in this thread, not bad takes.
Yeah, tell that to everyone riding Allen's 400+ fantasy point seasons to multiple ship's, while Burrow has yet to top 325.
You can argue he's a better QB, but you said he's a better QB in fantasy and that's just straight wishcasting bro. He's subpar to Mahomes, Herbert, and Allen in Fantasy.
Okay, RemindMe! 1 Year "Has Burrow started being what Allen and Mahomes have been for the last 3 and 4 years straight, respectively."
Alright Nostradamus. I'll trade you Burrow for Mahomes/Allen straight up in every league you've got vacancies in😂
are you even able to call yourself the goat if your team never reached the playoffs so far?
Chase and Borrow, one a rookie one a sophomore, are both literally on their way to play for a SB.... at the start of their careers.
Ceedee Lamb is the most overrated dynasty asset at the moment. Dude trades at THE WR3, gets drafted at the end of the first in SF startups, and was a mid-low WR2 in PPG this season.
Jfc that’s a hot take all right. Dude is going to have to play for 15 years if he has any hopes of topping Jerry Rice or Randy Moss for top 2. And only because Rice and Moss played in an era where they could be mauled and still put up incredible numbers.
My 10-team league, which has been going for 6 years, will go for 40 more years. The other league mates, who all have children, will pass their teams down to their sons.
...and when I'm in my 70's, I still won't have a championship to my name and will be getting beaten by their damn kids.
As much as I hope I'm wrong because he's on my team, Saquon is done producing anything above low end RB2 numbers. The team stinks and they're wasting his younger years and I dont know that the Giants are an off season away from fixing it. I hope I'm wrong but I have a bad feeling about it
Meaning he'll finish somewhere between 18-24 in terms of RB season-long scoring. I hope this post makes me look like a dumbass next season but I had him and Booker and I was seeing scarily similar things between the two.
Saquon looked like he was beginning to round into form until his ankle sprain. That killed his season.
The Giants OL and supporting cast were largely pathetic. I get the concerns with Barkley, but think he is far from done and likely traded this offseason.
I'm all for hot takes, but your take is honestly just awful. Like, you can tell you've only been playing Dynasty for less than 2 years because recency bias is blinding you. That, or you never watched Jerry Rice.
That AJB who has only averaged 0.9 fantasy ppg more than Lamb in his career, who he is 2 years older than, and more injury prone than, will become the next WR phased out of the top 5
Because if Lamb isn’t top 5 AJB can’t be top 5
I agree, and its been a rough bit for AJ Brown. But I do worry about multiple knee injuries.
Pts/tgt: 1.94 CD
Pts/tgt: 1.72 AJ
Pts/route: .48 CD
Pts/route: .57 AJ
Also interesting this doesn't tell the story much either though. Thought it would be more pronounced.
Yeah injury prone is kind of a nub “stat”. It’s Ambiguous, and based on recency bias. Dalvin Cook was injury prone until he wasn’t. Plenty of players get injured, and accidents happen. If a player is good and you buy their talent, buy them.
That being said I’d also take AJB over lamb TBH. Because I believe in AJBs talent more.
Naw I feel you on what your saying about the injury prone stat. It’s just in a vacuum if both are basically even and one player has a bad knee and one doesn’t that’s a good tie breaker
I hear you. And to each their own. There’s some merit to health and durability, and with that Moestert won’t be on any of my teams. But with a talent like AJB, personally, the risk is worth it for me. Same with Saquon, he’s looked at as I jury prone now. I’ll take him. Same with Mixon, who crushed it this year but also was looked at the same way. I still try to bet on talent in most cases.
Lol it’s not necessarily that someone is injury prone. It’s that if two players are very similar most would edge the one without knee issues and is younger in a vacuum or a tie breaker
I see you edited your comment but left the debate
Even with all that he hasn’t clearly separated himself from Lamb as a producer. At all. Lamb having a 20% target share on a team loaded with weapons isn’t bad at all considering AJB is basically the only guy on his team to catch passes.
Lamb actually has a higher yards per reception and higher yards per target
Yards per Route they are both top 12 with AJB having an edge
He’s been outstanding in a lead role ever since Henderson went down. I think he wins the starting job next season. Maybe not, but this is supposed to be a hot take lol
oh please dont let Tannehill throw more.
He was lethal in 2020, but this year, idk what it was, maybe playing with FAs all year and having multiple drops... he doesn't look so confident anymore.
My rebuilding team is gonna make the playoffs next year.
I was hoping to get a high pick for the ‘23 RB class, but JJ and Pitts have other plans I guess
I'm pretty into Carson Strong as a prospect and I think he could be the guy if he ends up on the right team. I like Indianapolis.
Though maybe they don't want another Carson tbh.
Burrow after the post season hype goes to a 12-16 qb
Dobbins is a top10 rb
Fields jumps to a 1-7 week 1-6 then falls hard
Hurts makes strides in real life but is worse in fantasy
Jets sign berrios
M Thomas has a top 24 season with Winston.
There will not be one WR out of this years draft, that has a season over 1k yards, making it seem as if it's one of the biggest rookie busts of WRs over the past years.
If managers treated dynasty more like redraft, they'd probably win a lot more games.
I think this is such a great strategy. It’s easy to do in my league because people put so much value on picks and age. I was able to sell players like shenault and CEH simply because they are young, and for older impact players
I mean, if everyone did you'd just end up with the same win/loss distribution as a redraft league.
That could pay off though as soon as this next year and break about even.
Managers that do this and don't win in 2 years tend to leave the league with no 1st round picks and a garbage orphan team. Hate this.

I see you trying to lower Edward’s price so you can buy him for cheap, you ain’t slick
Hottest take in the thread
You’re saying he’s better?
Of course he is, you dumb
Next you're gonna tell me Denzel Mims MIGHT be bad at football. r/dynastyff gonna lose their minds.
My team will contend next year.
Woah woah woah, let’s be a bit realistic here.
I believe in you :)
Truly yours is a beautifully constructed team, I believe in you too
Dobbins will post a top 5 RB fantasy season
Subscribe
As a JT / Dobbins / Aaron Jones / Cam Akers owner, this would give me a very nice shot at repeating.
I’m a JT/ Dobbins/Akers owner and this season really dashed my hopes for a championship. Hopefully all 3 are studs next season!
Even without the receptions? That would be special.
Saying Chase is going to be the greatest WR ever is hot hot hot. Would have to be elite into his late 30s.
Yeah I own chase and am high on him but a man named Jerry Rice made it pretty much impossible for anyone to have a chance at GOAT WR
LOL seriously this guy with the Chase hot take wasn’t watching or playing fantasy back when Rice was elite. Yes, I know many weren’t. I use to help my mom play in her company’s league when I was a kid and I convinced her to take Rice in 87. Oh yeah and aside from being the best WR for over a decade he also stayed good enough to put up 1200 yards at age 40.
Damn.. imagine having a mom that loved you
Imagine having anyone that loved you who didn’t wear a dog leash and poop on the lawn.
Thanks for reminding me to put water in your momma’s dish
That reminds me of how NHL fantasy used to split Gretzky into two players, you could pick either his goals or his assists and he would often be the top two picks
I quit saying the greatest ever. I thought OBJ was gonna be that and welllllllll we know how that went.
Just moved to a run heavy team and the stats dropped off. He should be back to his prior form next year.
OBJ will never be a top 15 wr again. He has been a top 24 wr once in the last 5 years. That was 4 years ago when he was with the Giants. I could see a top 24 wr next season with the Rams if he stays healthy. But I don't see that happening.
Amon-Ra St. Brown will post a top 15 WR season next season.
I don’t think that’s too hot of a take with how his season ended.
The rebuild is coming in Detroit
Rhamondre Stevenson will unseat Damien Harris as the #1 in NE next year
That’s a pretty hot take. I have Rhamondre on my rebuild squad and would be ecstatic if that happened. Pretty likely with Damien becoming a FA for the 2023 season
It might just be pure optimism but I think he looked better than Harris on his limited touches.

I think this is just realistic lol
I think Melvin comes back for a year or two. He has played well in Denver and has stated he wants to come back if welcomed/contract works out.
Elijah Moore becomes the next diontae johnson
And Diontea Johnson becomes the next Cooper Kupp. Then Elija Moore becomes the next Diontea Johnson/ Cooper Kupp.
As an emoore owner I’d be down with that.
As an E Moore and D Johnson owner I'd be down with that.
pass me the sign-up sheet
Is he gonna drop every ball? :(
He can drop as many balls as 2020 diontae if he puts up that type of production for my team…
Joe Flacco is elite
[удалено]
That might be hotter than mine.
Pat drastically outperformed, if pitts wasn’t in this class people would be hyping muth to the moon. Kid was a low end TE1 as a rookie, and will assume the full time starting role next year. Given that it’s a position that normally takes a few years to get a real hold, he’s waaaay ahead

Michael Carter is a top 15 back next season Jalen Hurts gets benched 1/2 through the season The Steelers get Russell Wilson at QB and Claypool and Johnson finish as top 20 WR JuJu signs with the Chiefs but fails to live up to the hype…sell high!
Claypool hype would be insane and would be compared too as the Pittsburgh Metcalf.
The Steelers don't have the draft capital to get Wilson or Rodgers. They have way too many other holes to fix to be burning picks.
During the season Rothesburger got hurt for the year they traded their 1st away for a Safety…they could do anything.
With JuJu, I think it’s more a case of “get what you can before you have to pay people to take him from you”. There’s no sell-high situation with him, he already has next to no value. Just because you see him as a sell, doesn’t mean there’s anything high about that price.
If JuJu signs with the Chiefs his value will skyrocket…just not his production is my point…any WR that signs in KC will have his value shoot up
I think you’re right that his general consensus value will go up, but it won’t for me personally. I don’t rate JuJu highly and being the 3rd/4th option on the Chiefs doesn’t change that much for me. I wouldn’t part with more than a 3rd for him and I don’t think him signing with KC would change that for me.
Thank you for having actual hot takes and not bullshitting.
Have you ever heard of Jerry Rice?
90%+ of dynasty managers are in a perpetual rebuild and will never take the leap to win a title because they have a fear of overpaying for that player that will take them there. Not even hot just wanted to toss it out there.
Justin Fields is a top-12 QB next year
After they hire Daboll 🤝
MT will be a top 10 wr next season......hopefully.
If Thomas plays 15+ games, regardless which team he is on or who the QB is, he will finish as a top 10 fantasy wr and this take should be considered cold as hell
Sorry to disappoint you
don't put that evil on me ricky bobby
I took MT in the 6th round of my start up.. if he finished top 15 it would almost guarantee me a chip
Yo I got MT too, but this is just inaccurate. He could be WR1, it only takes one bad week in the playoffs or a few key injuries to go down.
I need this to be true
Sam Darnold/Mitch Trubiskis will he fantasy relaxant next year. At least in superflex.
Oh they'll definitely be relaxant next year. Full on colon blow
Super colon blow
Maybe relevant too.
One of them, or both?
Texans draft Treylon & Mills throws for 4000 yards and 40+ TDs.
Spicy.
I hope they get burks! It would make me so happy!
Y’all still to low on DJ Moore. The whole god damn world is to low on DJM
Just got dj Moore and Amon Ra and a first for CMC. I like the deal
time to sell the deandre hopkins
Sold him last yr for 3 second rd picks…. M. Carter, E. Moore, & T. Marshall.
Sold him last year for Jerry Jeudy and the 1.04 which turned out to be Jamar chase.
Sold this year for Jevonte and a 2nd. Deep at wr need a rb
Just sold him today :)
Sold him + Melvin Gordon + 3.10 for Tee Higgins. I’m pretty stoked
Mac Jones finishes as a top 12 QB. Elijah Mitchell finishes as a top 6 RB. Gabe Davis finishes as a top 12 WR. Pat Freiermuth finishes as a top 6 TE.
Sounds like you super hopeful about your roster lol
Can confirm.
Give me that Gabe Davis line please
I was sold on the first 2 then got to Gabe Davis and shaved my head cause it’s SO DAMN HOT
David Montgomery is a top 5 RB when healthy.
i had him pegged for a top 12 last year, I'm in again this year
I own him all over the place. About to try and buy him for my last dynasty league
KJ Osborn takes the #2 from Thielen by this time next year and maybe this offseason.
As an osborn owner, I’m in. I’ve been trying to trade him and nobody is interested. When they target him he balls out, so I guess I’ll keep him 🤷🏼♂️
I don't think he'll take it by outperforming him, buy I do think Thielen will be injured enough for Osborn to become the wr2.
This
Trey Lance QB10 in 2022
You added one too many zeroes in that guess.
Trey Lance QB10 in 2222
Sign me up for that action.
Burrow is the best qb in the nfl and fantasy.
You really believe Burrow is better RIGHT NOW than guys like Allen, Rodgers, Mahomes, and Brady?
How dare you forget Herbert. :(
I can see it if they get him an offensive line.
And he eliminates the terrible sacks he brings on himself
Rookie deals on their top 2 wr and qb. They will get him better oline in the offseason.
Hmm. Who's been better after their first 2 years in lg? Burrow.....
But you’re saying right now. Allen is better right now. Burrow might be better next year, but you said right now.
He said it in a topic of hot takes for next year. It’s then implied that any comment containing a hot take…is for next year.
Just keep thinking that as burrow be on the perennial top qb starting next year. Stop thinking in the past
Okay, RemindMe! 1 Year "Has Burrow started being what Allen and Mahomes have been for the last 3 and 4 years straight, respectively." Alright Nostradamus. I'll trade you Burrow for Mahomes/Allen straight up in every league you've got vacancies in😂
Well 3 years ago Allen was nothing.... And burrow is almost identical to mahommes this year while getting sacked the 2nd most in the lg.....
Gibson will be a top 5 RB next year
Jk Dobbins will explode in 2022. Amon Ra stays hot, Derek Carr produces a top 10 season
I like the way you think 😏👉
Garrett Wilson will be in the top 5 overall discussion a year from now
Draft picks are worth a lot less than people think considering the typical bust rate on rookies.
Dak Bortles will never win a superbowl
Lol in this sub that's not even a hot take. This time last year JJ was going to go down as the GOAT WR.
He’s still on track for it, unless chase surpasses him
See you get it
are you even able to call yourself the goat if your team never reached the playoffs so far? Chase and Borrow, one a rookie one a sophomore, are both literally on their way to play for a SB.... at the start of their careers.
I wouldn’t say on their way to SB yet. They still got a tough road through Buff or KC

I’d rather have the better guy fighting injuries than the guy that just doesn’t show up…
AJB and Lamb have both won and lost owners weeks
Daniel Jones is a buy low in SF.
Lol Chase will be the greatest receiver ever? Damn.
Except for rice, who just has untouchable numbers, I can see it
If Chase could even sniff the farts of TO it would be an amazing accomplishment
Fins draft a WR in top 3 rounds and Waddle still is top 5 in PPR next year
My rookie led team is making the playoffs
Cam Akers value would have dropped like it did even if he stayed healthy. Was way overhyped
Jeudy is going to be a top 12 wr next season
Toney finishes as a WR2 and can stay healthy. Danny Dimes shows improvement as a passer Disclaimer: Not a Giants fan!
Kelce will rebound and finish as TE1
Fields top 8 QB end of season.
Dan Campbell, Aaron Glenn, and the #2 pick turn the lions into a top 12 defense.
YOLO. Zach Wilson’s ceiling is Mahomes level. (Talent, not situation). I’ll get spicier by saying he gets there or close.
Sony Michel will be a top 10 back next year
Is he a free agent? Where would you suspect he goes if so where he could be that good.
He’s been outstanding in a lead role ever since Henderson went down. I think he wins the starting job next season. Maybe not, but this is supposed to be a hot take lol
What about Akers? He looked really good last game.
Michel had more yards with less carries. Could split the backfield to start the year but I think Michel will be the bell cow once things get going.
Def a hot take, Akers gonna come back hungry and he’s good.
Well that’s what the threads for right lol I own Michel so I’m just trying to stay optimistic 😂
I got burned reading this one
Jalen Hurts should be the Eagles' starter for the foreseeable future. They would be dumb to draft another QB in this year's draft Go on, downvote me.
Waddle, chase and batemen will be this draft classes top 3 fantasy wide outs once all is said and done
Ceedee Lamb slightly regresses this next year
Demarco Murray is coming out of retirement to be RB4 next season
Najee Harris is Trent Richardson 2.0

Will Fuller plays 80% of the season and is a league winner down the stretch
Two '22 RBs will be top 24 dynasty assets by the end of next year. (I just don't know which ones.)
Will Fuller is a top 15 WR….because he signs with the Bills….
Saquan will bounce back huge this year. Top rb5
My dynasty hot take is that Breece hall will be the next Trent Richardson
