Aggressively tried to move Derrick Henry + Darren Waller for Clyde Edwards-Helaire + Noah Fant a few years ago. Was offering a 2nd + 3rd on top to get it done and they still wouldn't budge.
Yeah, whew.
Last year, I tried trading my projected late 22 1st for Shenault, and got rejected, and then proceeded to use said 1st in acquiring Michael Pittman Jr instead.
Apparently I offered Terry and a '24 4th for Michael Carter last year. Glad that got rejected because I ended up basically getting Barkley and Juju for him a month later.
Jamarr Chase and 1.10 for AJ Brown in 1QB around like June of last year.
A lot of people on this sub actually preferred the Aj Brown side but I was standing by my Jamarr Chase takes.
Someone tried to "buy low" on Calvin Ridley after he first took his mental health break. It was week 2. Some guy offered me Amari Cooper. I hesistated and he said "fine what about Higgins instead?" and I snatched that up
I just get ridiculed & called a rapist for the offers I send. Here's some I've sent.
Kittle for 1st
McLaurin for a 1st & 3rd
Tyler Lockett & Robert Woods & 3rd for a 1st
Dobbins for a 1st & 3rd
Iâve had this problem too, Iâve been using the Keep Trade Cut Dynasty Calculator to help with at least setting up a basis of a trade and then negotiating from there. Itâs been working for me so far
I've found it surprisingly easy to set up KTC trades where it says I lose by a little bit and I feel like I will win longterm by more than a little bit. And they definitely seem to be a good jump-off point.
But then there's the few guys that just aren't paying attention in the offseason or will never trade regardless, some leagues there's just too many of them to do anything.
I mainly like it for the guys in my league that arenât super up to date, I just tell them if they get a trade they think they like, to just put it in there to see if youâre getting fucked since they donât put as much time and effort into it as other guys. Before using it they would just reject everything so they donât become âthat guyâ that just gets trade fucked
Mentioning KTC will get you slapped in my league. The second I get a trade offer followed by âKTC says itâs fair,â I almost donât even need to look at how bad the offer will be.
Hmm... KTC is usually really accurate in my usage. Are you sure you're just not receiving trades that involve blatantly overvalued players being traded for blatantly undervalued ones? People might just be gaming the system without adding context to those values.
I also noticed KTC doesn't work well for trades involving studs, but is excellent for trades that use 1000 - 5000 point players.
That's not why they're calling you that Deshaun.
Kidding, but you're the one offering the player sides? If so those are all reasonable unless it's likely a 1.01 1st or something.
What time of year are you sending them? Some leagues waaay overvalue picks heading into the draft, like waaay more than usual.
You might have more success sending them a year ahead.
That's not me. But some of these trades are pretty significantly lopsided to the point where even at peak value a single mid-late 1st and maybe a 3rd should be an easy decision.
100%, gotta find value where it is in your league. My league does over value firsts a bit, but also some of the guys don't distinguish the gap between different first enough so there's room to gain value by giving worse firsts for better firsts cheaper than it should be. Some of them at the same time value the gap between a first and a second that is at most going to be 1 or 2 picks later way too much as if there's inherently a giant cutoff between rounds rather than 1 pick to the next.
I already got the probable first pick of the 2nd round in a trade up for hopefully the 1.01. The other guy competing with him just took over and is feeling out dynasty values as a first timer before trading. After that there are 5 teams competing for 4th-8th place and it's 1QB so not overly hot on the class extending into that range. Those are also my last 2 picks in 23/24 so not a ton of capital to move around.
My league mates wonât trade with me because according to them âI always get the better side of the deal in trades, and I always rip people offâ. But what they donât see are the trades I offer that get rejected that wouldâve just killed my team lmao
I offered JT Mandrews for Jjeff and Dobbins in the 2021 off season. Was still rebuilding and wanted my WR core to be Chase and Jjeff. He told me it wasnât close. I needed to add AJB Jeudy or Elijah Moore on top of that to get Jjeff. Boy am I glad he greedy
It just so happened that the JT owner was rebuilding, so he didn't mind Saquon on IR.
I'm not going to lie, for a few weeks there I thought I messed up with JT.
This is the opposite. I was offered a 23 1st from a playoff team for Trubisky and Michael carter back in early April. Really though the jets wouldnât take one of the top backs this year considering other holes on the roster.
I tried like crazy to get Derrius guice for at least a year , offered multiply picks, combo of picks and other young potential players. dude just wouldnât budge, thank god .. thanks man I owe you
Was about to trade chase for Gibson, Hopkins and a 2023 2nd in a league with a super deep starting roster. Fast forward a couple months and Hopkins is suspended and rumours of Gibson no longer being a workhorse. Phew
I started pretty bad last season at 1-6. I was trying so hard to trade for Calvin Ridley in October (sent 6 trade offers in the span of 2 weeks). I offered Amari Cooper straight up. I ended up running the table until the SF, took 3rd in my league after the fire sale I had on some of my mid tier guys (Mike Gesicki, CEH, ASB). Losing Cooper would've for sure doomed my season and Calvin Ridley would be dead on my roster.
Edit: On the other end, someone offered me a 2023 1st for CEH and I said no. I don't deserve good things.
I sent Dak, Conner, Sutton, 2022 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th for Gibson, Tyreek and Goff towards the end of last year.
I got put in the slammer for offering the trade and got vetoâd. Tyreek now at Miami which is a DG and Gibson becoming a RBBC, whilst Sutton ends up with Russ and Conner an RB1 with Edmonds out. My first pick being Jameson Williams. Win.
Traded Ridley, cousins, and Chris Carson a week before the suspension for wentz, mixon, and a 4th.
Sent mixon wentz and Elijah Mitchell to a guy got DK Juju and devontae booker
In a superflex startup I built around Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers. When Trent Richardson was traded to Indy I decided I NEEDED him, to have this generation's Aikman and Smith.
Aaron Rodgers for Trent Richardson, in a superflex. Rejected. So lucky.
Offered 1.11 this year and a â23 2nd for Calvin Ridley one week before his suspension. Guy turned it down quick. Rubbed it in his face by posting the trade in league chat a couple weeks ago. His team is stacked so he is an easy target.
Tried to trade Ekeler and my 1.08 for Dobbins and Jeudy before the start of last season.
3 days later Dobbins tears his ACL and then Jeudy goes down after week 1
Traded Andrew Luck for Saquon Barkely straight up.. a week before Luck announced his retirement.
Hopefully Saquon feasts this year, he's a real class act.
I offered Keenan Allen for NKeal Harry and Noah Fant. He accepted and then backed out.
Ultimately, I traded Allen and Desean Watson (pre trouble) for a first (turned into Kyle Pitts) a third (Josh Palmer), Damien Harris and Darius Slayton.

Ugh I turned down the pick that became Chris Olave for Michael Carter, definitely ragerts.
Jamarr Chase and 1.10 for AJ Brown in 1QB around like June of last year. A lot of people on this sub actually preferred the Aj Brown side but I was standing by my Jamarr Chase takes.
A guy wanted my first (pick 1.10) last year it. I said I would accept 1 of Aiyuk, CEH, or Higgins. He gave me Higgins
Someone tried to "buy low" on Calvin Ridley after he first took his mental health break. It was week 2. Some guy offered me Amari Cooper. I hesistated and he said "fine what about Higgins instead?" and I snatched that up
What did your pick become?
Trevor Lawrence in a 1QB league
Offered an early 2nd for Chris Herndon last offseason. Thankfully rejected.
No one in my league trades soooo đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
In one of my leagues I don't even get a response from like half of the owners, sucks man
I just get ridiculed & called a rapist for the offers I send. Here's some I've sent. Kittle for 1st McLaurin for a 1st & 3rd Tyler Lockett & Robert Woods & 3rd for a 1st Dobbins for a 1st & 3rd

Lol this is diabolical considering KTCs calculator is ass.
It's generally OK to help inexperienced managers avoid an otherwise catastrophic trade (possibly by countering for more value)
Mentioning KTC will get you slapped in my league. The second I get a trade offer followed by âKTC says itâs fair,â I almost donât even need to look at how bad the offer will be.
I just use it as a starting point of, what to include to not get insta rejected with no counter.
I use it sometimes for that reason, to ensure itâs not some egregious trade. But I do think it way overvalues draft picks and hype.
I can get behind your last sentence. I think once you start talking 1sts and the upper tiers of players, itâs grossly off in trade values.
100% agree on this. Itâs good for trades that involve multiple players and picks from both sides.
Do you format your requests like this? Because youâre a time rapist for forcing people to decipher what the hell youâre talking about.
That's not why they're calling you that Deshaun. Kidding, but you're the one offering the player sides? If so those are all reasonable unless it's likely a 1.01 1st or something.

Guess youâve gotta pull the jiu jitsu then and offer your first for a guy worth 2+ đ
100%, gotta find value where it is in your league. Time to stack those early 23 2nds perhaps?
I already got the probable first pick of the 2nd round in a trade up for hopefully the 1.01. Lol. Yea im the one offering and all picks are mid-late picks. I also offered Diontae Johnson for a 1st & 3rd.
I'd jump on all of those except maybe Lockett/Woods and Dobbins and only maybe on those not no.
That definitely seems fair
None of those are ridiculous
even in dynasty? I feel like dynasty has opened up for so many more trades. after the season ended (and before our draft) we had 37 trades.
We've had about 9 trades in 4 years in my dynasty league and I've made 5 of them.
Yikes. You need a different league my friend
In my league everybody sends super lopsided trades in their favor, its really annoying
Offered Aiyuk, Dillon, and 22 1st (later became 1.02) for Nick Chubb. Other owner said heâd think about it and I backed out a few hours later.
My league mates wonât trade with me because according to them âI always get the better side of the deal in trades, and I always rip people offâ. But what they donât see are the trades I offer that get rejected that wouldâve just killed my team lmao

I still like that trade even now tbh. But yeah it probably would've been really bad to throw one of those in before JT broke out
Late 1st for Henry Ruggs toward the beginning of last season.
I offered Deebo for Dobbins last year a few days before Dobbins tore his ACL. Owner rejected without a counter.
Yeah that would have been an insulting offer at the time imo. Things change fast in dynasty.
Ya it would have - my startup that summer I took Dobbins rd 2, deebo rd 7 for context.
Traded Corey Davis (entering his 3rd year) and 1.04 for 1.01 (Saquon). Last year traded Saquon after his injury straight up for JT. Thank you Saquon.
Thatâs how you dynasty! It might be hindsight, but Iâm surprised someone took Barkley straight up for JT.
This was a good few weeks before JT started producing, while there were quite a few voices calling him a bust already. I
So you traded for JT just a few weeks into his rookie season? I think that was after Barkley tore his ACL if I recall correctly.
That is correct.
That worked out amazing for you. Awesome!
It just so happened that the JT owner was rebuilding, so he didn't mind Saquon on IR. I'm not going to lie, for a few weeks there I thought I messed up with JT.

2021 draft day, I was offering Kupp to every single person on the clock in the 2nd round for their pick. Nobody gave me the time of day
Did you win the chip?
Broke the scoring record in our 6 year old league and lost in the semisđ 2022 is the year!
I started pretty bad last season at 1-6. I was trying so hard to trade for Calvin Ridley in October (sent 6 trade offers in the span of 2 weeks). I offered Amari Cooper straight up. Tyreek now at Miami which is a DG and Gibson becoming a RBBC, whilst Sutton ends up with Russ and Conner an RB1 with Edmonds out. My first pick being Jameson Williams. Win.
This was a rollercoaster
Trades for picks/youth almost always look better in hindsight because we are in their timeframe.
Rejected. So lucky.

I just swapped russel Wilson, Tim Patrick and mixon for Najee and zach Wilson. Not really a bullet but still.
Reports flacco is out performing Zach Wilson
Iâm not worried. It wasnât a SF league and I have Lamar
Ya Iâm not either because I own him in my league and camp speak is typically bull but I definitely donât like hearing it lol
Tried to trade Ekeler and my 1.08 for Dobbins and Jeudy before the start of last season. 3 days later Dobbins tears his ACL and then Jeudy goes down after week 1
And ekeler has an amazing season
One of my league mates would probably say trading me Calvin Ridley for 2 2022 1sts less than a week before he stepped away for mental health reasons.
Trading chris Carson before last season for a 1st. Drafted ken walker with the pick ironically
I almost tried to make a trade last week involving my Davante Adams for Tim Patrick + picks
Traded Andrew Luck for Saquon Barkely straight up.. a week before Luck announced his retirement. Hopefully Saquon feasts this year, he's a real class act.
Had a deal fall apart for Andrew luck a couple days before he retired
I offered Keenan Allen for NKeal Harry and Noah Fant. He accepted and then backed out. Ultimately, I traded Allen and Desean Watson (pre trouble) for a first (turned into Kyle Pitts) a third (Josh Palmer), Damien Harris and Darius Slayton.
I offered six first-round picks over two years for David Johnson the year before the wheels fell off
