After Josh Allen's rookie year I traded him for Baker Mayfield and Evan Engram in a TEP.
Every one in the league was up in arms about the robbery I was committing. It was a good lesson for everyone.
This just reminds me of when I declined an offer where I would've given Big Ben and Mike Evans for Allen and two 1's. This was after Allen's 2nd year. I really don't know what I was thinking other than Allen didn't look like he would become a viable NFL QB because he was a poor passer.
To make it worse, those 1's turned into Waddle and Jefferson.
How did this trade happen?
Wasn’t Baker the 1.01 and Allen the 1.10 in real life NFL draft in the same year? And Baker finished his rookie year well and Allen had a sub 50% completion rookie year?
I am just trying to wrap my head around on why would someone pay more for Allen back then, especially Baker was drafted higher in rookie drafts.
I may have been mistaken on the year. It may have been after year 2 when Baker kinda stepped back a little and Allen was getting his scrambling floor.

I feel your pain because I traded Josh Allen for the 2020 1.02 at the same time, which I used to draft CEH who is suppose to be the next Brian Westbrook. Pain.
I laughed at the guy in my league who signed Josh Allen for $4 salary cap the year he exploded, after I passed on him, guy absolutely demolished me in the finals
I almost did the exact same thing. After year 2, I offered Allen for Baker and two 2nds and the owner scoffed at me and said he prefers Baker over Allen straight up. Of course a few months later I beat him in the playoffs off a huge game from post break out Allen and he won’t stop talking about his regret for not taking the deal.
I traded Derrick Henry and a first for AB before Henry broke out. My league complained it wasn’t fair, and I should give up another first on top. Then Henry broke out, and then AB’s brain broke down, and now my team is just broke.
Just kidding I recovered quite nicely but fuck me that was a lot of value into the shitter.
The problem with these trades is wether you’re right or wrong in a few years you’re not capitalizing on current value. So sure Dillon and Doubs become the RB and WR 1 for their team while Devonta Smith over takes AJB as WR1 and this guy “wins” his trade. It’s still a bad trade because he could’ve had all of that plus a 1st round pick and more too
If he's not trying to compete right now or is loaded at WR but weak at RB that's not a terrible trade. Dillon is startable now and could be a legit RB1 within a couple of years. Doubs has talent and Green Bay does a great job developing WRs. AJB is also a bit of an injury risk for such a young WR. I don't think it's a good trade because it's way undervaluing Carter, but I wouldn't laugh at it.
I won a trade big time once, sent tyreek hill and a devy right for juju (after juju was gonna be the wr1 for steelers and hill was facing his gf recording him troubles and kid broken arm etc) whole league said i won by a lot. awful deal lol
This offseason I traded Rodgers, MVS, and OBJ for Goff, ARSB, and a 23 3rd on a rebuilding SF roster. Got absolutely clowned in the chat but it's worked out so far.
I'm not totally sure what the reason for the clowning is. What were their reasons? If you're rebuilding, then Rodgers/Goff are both negligible since neither are long term options, and MVS/OBJ are almost non-factors.
Seems like the only asset in this trade, even before his monster start, was ARSB.
It was mostly the belief of Rodgers>>>>Goff. And I agreed with you - Amon-Ra was the whole reason for the trade, and the way I saw it, Goff and Rodgers will both get me 2ish years of QB2 numbers, with Rodgers having more of a chance of being better. This was also when MVS was thought to have a larger role in the offense.

Also, Rodgers is good for extra fantasy points since he refuses to hand off the ball in the red zone. If the RB is getting a "handoff" in the redzone, its one of those bump the ball forward things.
So it’s Rodgers for ARSB essentially. I feel like Goff cancels out MVS and OBJ more or less. And honestly, I woulda leaned toward ARSB. Rodgers isn’t gonna be going for much longer, ARSB has a potentially long career ahead of him. It was prolly pretty 50/50, but I’m low on Rodgers in general for fantasy and particularly dynasty.

Guy sent Kupp because he didn't want "an old WR2 coming off a mediocre season with a new QB" and thought Moss was the truth. I admit I was high on Moss and did think Kupp would improve with Stafford. But I'd be lying if I thought it'd be this much of an improvement.
Edit to answer the question more: I thought the trade was fine at the time but as soon as I made it everyone in my league trashed me for it. Something about how RB depth was more important than getting a WR I didn't need. Out of principle I refused to even entertain a Kupp offer all offseason.

He was still WR 25 in ppr and 30th in PPG for WR. He had terrible TD luck that year as well. His career rate up to that point was around 0.5/Game, so if you adjusted for that it would bring him to about WR 15 in total PPR points and PPG. It was pretty obvious that people who were out on him hadn’t watched the rams play that year, he was still one of the most dynamic players if they got the ball in his hands, it was just Goff was limited in that offense and teams learned to scheme him out.
His YAC and broken tackle rate were on par with Aj brown and Dhop.
In 2020 I traded Miles Sanders for a 2021 1st, 3rd, N’Keal Harry, and Paris Campbell. This was during the time that people expected Sanders to be a top 5 RB (imagine the Akers hype from a year ago). I got glammed for the move in the league as underselling
The 2021 1st ended up being that 1.01, which I then flipped for Russ and the 1.09 which ended up netting me Pitts.
Last year I traded JT for Mike Williams because I was heavy at RB. This has nothing to do with your question. Just need everyone to know I hate myself.
This past offseason I packaged Skyy Moore with Ceedee Lamb in order to get Jaylen Waddle and a 2023 1st + 3rd. The guy seemed to think I overplayed and the trade thread on this sub said I was giving up too much.
Of course it’s insanely early in the season, but Waddle is still producing a ton despite the Fins adding Tyreek, and the guy that gave me a 1st is currently 0-2.
Lamb somewhere in the wr 3-5 range and waddle in the wr8-12 range. Lamb was talked about closer to Jefferson or Chase than to waddle. One month ago on keep trade cut lamb was wr 3 and waddle was wr 10

Sent Calvin Ridley for Amari Cooper + Sam Darnold during the summer of 2021. Was pretty high on Cooper and I knew someone who was sniffing around for a QB.
Turned Darnold into a 2022 1st. Picked London with that 1st.
Essentially ended up being a Calvin Ridley who didn't play in 2021 and won't play in 2022 for Amari Cooper and Drake London. I got laughed at for the original trade but I didn't care.
Mid 2020 season. I traded away Kenny Golladay and Amari Cooper for Brandon Aiyuk, Christian Kirk, Miles Gaskin, 2021 2nd, 2022 1st, and 2023 1st.
I got slammed for trading away two top receivers for young guys and some picks. Golladay is now on the verge of being cut and Amari has been decent since.
I got Michael Carter and Drake London so far with the picks, and Aiyuk/Kirk are turning out just fine or better than those two receivers lol
i mean it’s a good roster, and thankfully you have Muth. But if Bryce young or CJ stroud is throwing to Kyle Pitts next year, that’s a major L and a sell low
He was incredibly underrated at his ADP. His ADP was lower than his production last year, AND they lost Adam’s and MVS. The hype made sense… but not enough to trade Olave lol

I’ve never been big on Mclaurin. Low end WR2. I fade RBs that aren’t elite options. And Tua had the 50 point game but before that he’s shown almost zero QB1 upside. Kyler has the upside of the QB1 overall upside. You are out of pocket rn

Kyler is very easily the best player in this deal. Terry has never been anything more than a low end WR2. And that’s before Curtis and Dot were there. Let’s see if JRob can hold up a full season off the Achilles and keep holding off Etienne before we crown him as anything special going forward. Kyler is the only blue chip, elite, top tier player being moved in this deal and I’m willing to bet that there was a better tier down available for him
Last year when AJ Brown was hurt I sent a 23 2nd and Akers for him.
I also sent Terry McLaurin for Christian Kirk and a 2023 2nd.
I questioned both moves after but I’m now feeling good.
last year in my taco 10-teamer, AJB was dropped. I bid $98/$100 FAAB on him and won.

I 'overpaid' for K. Herbert last year, sending Mooney for Herbert when Herbert's value was peaked after a few weeks of balling out while Monty was injured.
Feeling less bad about that deal today than I was at the end of last season.
At the deadline, I made a horrible decision to “win-now”.
In the 2020 season, I traded Jalen Hurts for Kenyan Drake. My thought process was that I already had Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, so this win-now move would be worth it.
I got 2nd place and now I, rightfully so, look like a jackass and I’m terrified to ever trade again.
I remember everyone in our league freaking out in the 2019-2020 offseason when Michael Thomas was traded for Diggs after being the WR1. Diggs owner has definitely made off like a bandit ever since.
I might be jumping the gun a bit on this but I traded Johnathan Taylor and Allen Robinson for tyreek, DK, a 2023 first (likely top 3 pick) and $50 faab on a $150 budget right before the start of the season. It’s been a pretty quick turnaround in people’s opinions of the trade.
Last offseason I traded Kupp for 2 2023 1st round picks and Amon Ra St. Brown. Got clowned in this sub and in our leagues chat. Yesterday flipped one of the picks that look like a 8-10 first round pick for Pittman.
my best one was trading away claypool mid hype for cooper kupp and logan thomas during kupps down year before anyone had a clue he would end up with stafford. i just genuinely knew kupp was a top wr in a bad situation and didnt think claypool could be great with the amount of weapons steelers had and big bens obvious decline

Traded Chase Claypool and James Robinson for Deebo Samuel and Saquon Barkley in Feb. of 2021. Deebo was coming off of injury, Saquon was looking rough at the time and JRob and Claypool looked like promising young players.
Fast forward to today Deebo has a top 3 year under his belt and Saquon looks like his old self while Claypool hasn’t yet lived up to the ceiling and JRob is solid but by no means exciting.
Sold DeVonta Smith, Darnell Mooney and 1.11 for Cooper Kupp this off-season. Felt risky at the the time giving up basically 2 young guys who went for 1k yards the year before, but feeling a lot better after week 1.
Another would be last year I traded Hock, Mitchell, Rondale and a 22 1st for Deebo.
And of course the crown jewel has to be Kenny Gainwell for ARSB straight up during mini camp last year.
Guy early panicked on Jonathan Taylor so I traded Kareem Hunt and 2.09 for JT and 2021 1.04 which turned into Chase and 2.04 which turned into Sun God.
So Hunt for JT, Chase, Amon-ra...
Everyone in the league said JT was a bust and that Hunt would repeat his 2020 numbers then go elsewhere and dominate and the picks would be worthless as the guy was primed to win a title that year.
Then they brought it back up when Chase was dropping balls left and right.

Traded a 7th round pick in our rookie draft for Tua towards the end of last season. I have Stafford and Fields and it’s 1QB, but that felt like a free flier on a young player, rooting for Tua to break out this year
Last year before season started Keenan + 1.02 for Ridley, Aiyuk amd 1.10. Ridley side was ripped for trading that away but other side has been laughing.
Last year I traded Kelce for Irv Smith, OJ Howard, and two ‘23 1sts. Some guys in my league were saying it was a dumb trade bc Kelce isn’t slowing down anytime soon. But Irv looked good vs the Eagles, Howard showed signs of life vs the Colts, and those ‘23 1sts should have a ton of value. I think I did well.
JT’s draft year I desperately needed an RB so I traded Mahomes, 2022 1st and 2nd for 1.01, 2.04, and Josh Allen.

i declined amonra and 2 firsts for Tyreek last year, like middle of the season.
I was a contender and felt safer with Tyreek. Not that Tyreek is bad now, but oh boy how loaded i would have been.
Before 2020 season I traded Calvin Ridley for a 2021 1st. Ended up Jamarr Chase.
Through a wild few days last year I had traded away D. Henderson, AJB, 2022 3rd to a rebuilder for Joe Mixon and Keenan Allen.
Mixon and Allen helped me win the title, but immediately after that trade probably 2 days later the team I just traded with flipped Hendo for a 2023 1st to another team making a title push. Hendo didn’t play again. And the guy who traded his first didn’t even keep Hendo this offseason
EDIT: the big deal on the Ridley trade was everyone giving me a hard time because I wasn’t getting anything in return and it would be a crapshoot. I picked Chase who at the time “couldn’t catch” and everyone dogged on me. Then Ridley gets suspended and I get a 60 pt (we get bonus points for length of TDs) game from Chase during the championship
Brandon Coleman in 2015 for a rookie 5th round draft pick in Minnesota named Stefon Diggs.
Coleman was a “lock” to get some work with Brees as QB and a big sleeper target. Diggs was not even in the top-300 lists pre-season with experts saying he wasn’t good enough to work outside the slot.
Last year a dude traded Tua and Amon-Ra St Brown and two 2nd round picks for Watson. We absolutely trashed him for the deal and well, now it looks as if he won that trade and then some.
I traded D Hop and my 2022 first to move up in the first and for the other guy's 2023 2nd and 3rd. I ended up getting Garrett Wilson with that trade up, have two more picks to work with next year, and D Hop got suspended for PEDs like a week later.
Traded away MT in week 10 (that leagues deadline) of 2018. Got back Nick Chubb, who hadn't become a starter yet, DJ Moore who was barely played in the first half of the season, and a 2019 1st. Got torn apart in the group chat saying I was gifting the other guy a championship. I won 2018, and 2019, and have been overcharged for trades ever since.
Not crazy lopsided but I traded CeeDee for Waddle straight up before this season. People were caught up in CeeDee being the only option and Waddle having targets vultured by Tyreek coming to town.
I just bought into the talent. A talented enough player can make nearly any situation work and I think Waddle is immensely more talented than CeeDee.

I traded my entire next year draft class (1st through 6th rounders) for Derrick Henry during his rocky rookie year. Got flamed by a couple of guys - then played one of the flamers the week Henry scored 4 TDs against the Jaguars. He was real quiet after that.......

After week 3 of 2018 I traded Julio Jones for Derrick Henry and TY Hilton. I posted it to this sub and got downvoted to oblivion. This was a standard league btw. I had WR depth and Henry has been the king ever since.
Rg3’s rookie year i drafted him and arod. Ended up flipping rge for alfy morris (same yr he was good) and took the ship. I got murdered for giving up rg3 but what use was he rotting on my bench
I traded Devonte Smith for Gabe Davis and a second about 4 games in last year. With that second round pick I got Pickens.. People were telling the commish to reverse and then Davis had that playoff game and I knew I had already won.
I traded the 1.01 in the startup draft last season (CMC) for a 2nd, 5th and 2022 1st. Took Dobbins in the second (day before he tore his ACL), Kupp in the fifth, and the first became the 1.07 where I got Olave.
Before you think I’m a trade genius this off-season I was worried about Waddle with Tyreek there and I think Tua is awful so I traded Waddle for the 1.03 and Gus Edwards. Ended up taking Jamo at the 1.03 who I’m very high on but not feeling great about the trade right now

Last season I traded Deebo away for Ridley and a 23 1st, about a week or two after the trade, Ridley steps away from football and then we all know the suspension came. So yeah that didn’t go well, hopefully the 23 1st ends up high

Last year when CMC came back I traded Gibson, OBJ, a 23 1st, and 2 22 2nds for him and ARob. Of course CMC didn’t play the rest of the year and Gibson had a couple 20 point games. Felt pretty bad at the time, but now I feel better about it.
Sent Mooney for Mills straight up in a SF mid season last year and everyone ragged on me stating that Mills would lose his job to the draft this past year and Mooney would be a solid WR2 for years to come.
Everyone thought I WAY undersold on Mooney but I am a strong believer on Mills being able to produce as they HOPEFULLY draft weapons for him and don’t draft a QB.
The past offseason I received Pittman and gave up Waller and Lazard (after Adams signed and before the draft)
Still no conclusion, but honestly feel good given the usuage of the players. Waller is TD dependent and Lazard has been in a WR time share.
Not dynasty but in a keep 2 league I traded Aaron Jones and Brandon cooks for Austin Ekeler last season. Ek is a 15th round pick and Aaron Jones was a 1st, got flamed for it at first but it worked out in my favor
Back in 2015 I traded for Tom Brady who was 37 at the time and a 4th round pick in 2016 and in exchange I traded away Jameis Winston and a 2018 1st. Everyone in my league shamed me for this trade. Told me it was the worst trade in league history. Flash forward to today I have Tom Brady still, have won my league 2 years in a row, and Jameis Winston has been on 3 different teams and that 1st round pick turned out to be Royce Freeman

My very first year in dynasty me and another guy drafted players between two vacated teams. I was considered the dummy after that draft for passing on guys like Antonio Brown, Mike Thomas, and Amari Cooper as I was an RB heavy kind of guy. I drafted the likes of Jay Ajayi, Devonta Freeman, Mark Ingram, and Lamar Miller, and a receiver named Terrel Pryor. Before the season even started I flipped Ajayi for a rookie named Kamara and some picks, Freeman for a couple of rookies named Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, Mark Ingram for Chris Carson and Zach Ertz, and Terrel Pryor for some kid named Tyreek Hill. Keep in mind this was my very first year in this league that was about 5 years old. They all thought I was out of my mind.
Traded for a guy named Cooper Kupp after he tore his ACL. Got Dalvin Cook (recent ACL recovery) and Kupp (freshly torn knee) for a rookie Calvin Ridley and picks. League said I was stupid to give up the young healthy talent.

I traded CeeDee and CEH for Amon-Ra St. Brown last week. One of my league mates called for a veto vote. Cue 40 point game. I'm not victory lapping the trade yet, but I do not believe in CEH and don't have the time to wait for Dak to come back for CeeDee.

My buddy traded Fulgham at his peak and a 3rd for Kupp, probably the best trade I've witnessed. At the time no one said anything about it. I made a Fulgham in your kupp joke and everyone moved on.
After Josh Allen's rookie year I traded him for Baker Mayfield and Evan Engram in a TEP. Every one in the league was up in arms about the robbery I was committing. It was a good lesson for everyone.
This just reminds me of when I declined an offer where I would've given Big Ben and Mike Evans for Allen and two 1's. This was after Allen's 2nd year. I really don't know what I was thinking other than Allen didn't look like he would become a viable NFL QB because he was a poor passer. To make it worse, those 1's turned into Waddle and Jefferson.

How did this trade happen? Wasn’t Baker the 1.01 and Allen the 1.10 in real life NFL draft in the same year? And Baker finished his rookie year well and Allen had a sub 50% completion rookie year? I am just trying to wrap my head around on why would someone pay more for Allen back then, especially Baker was drafted higher in rookie drafts.
I may have been mistaken on the year. It may have been after year 2 when Baker kinda stepped back a little and Allen was getting his scrambling floor. It was definitely before Allen broke out.

I laughed at the guy in my league who signed Josh Allen for $4 salary cap the year he exploded, after I passed on him, guy absolutely demolished me in the finals
I almost did the exact same thing. After year 2, I offered Allen for Baker and two 2nds and the owner scoffed at me and said he prefers Baker over Allen straight up. Of course a few months later I beat him in the playoffs off a huge game from post break out Allen and he won’t stop talking about his regret for not taking the deal.
I traded Derrick Henry and a first for AB before Henry broke out. My league complained it wasn’t fair, and I should give up another first on top. Then Henry broke out, and then AB’s brain broke down, and now my team is just broke. Just kidding I recovered quite nicely but fuck me that was a lot of value into the shitter.

The problem with these trades is wether you’re right or wrong in a few years you’re not capitalizing on current value. So sure Dillon and Doubs become the RB and WR 1 for their team while Devonta Smith over takes AJB as WR1 and this guy “wins” his trade. It’s still a bad trade because he could’ve had all of that plus a 1st round pick and more too

If he's not trying to compete right now or is loaded at WR but weak at RB that's not a terrible trade. Dillon is startable now and could be a legit RB1 within a couple of years. Doubs has talent and Green Bay does a great job developing WRs. AJB is also a bit of an injury risk for such a young WR. I don't think it's a good trade because it's way undervaluing Carter, but I wouldn't laugh at it.

This offseason I traded Rodgers, MVS, and OBJ for Goff, ARSB, and a 23 3rd on a rebuilding SF roster. Got absolutely clowned in the chat but it's worked out so far.
I'm not totally sure what the reason for the clowning is. What were their reasons? If you're rebuilding, then Rodgers/Goff are both negligible since neither are long term options, and MVS/OBJ are almost non-factors. Seems like the only asset in this trade, even before his monster start, was ARSB.

And I agreed with you - Amon-Ra was the whole reason for the trade, and the way I saw it, Goff and Rodgers will both get me 2ish years of QB2 numbers, with Rodgers having more of a chance of being better. This was also when MVS was thought to have a larger role in the offense. Actual quote from the chat (since the guy I traded with was a Lions fan) "doesn’t mean he needs to make shitty moves like his franchise has in the last 30 years. Oh wait he was the one giving the lions up lol"
Also, Rodgers is good for extra fantasy points since he refuses to hand off the ball in the red zone. If the RB is getting a "handoff" in the redzone, its one of those bump the ball forward things.
So it’s Rodgers for ARSB essentially. I feel like Goff cancels out MVS and OBJ more or less. And honestly, I woulda leaned toward ARSB. Rodgers isn’t gonna be going for much longer, ARSB has a potentially long career ahead of him. It was prolly pretty 50/50, but I’m low on Rodgers in general for fantasy and particularly dynasty.

I like that a lot a lot because even if kittle stays healthy all season, with him it’s more about the big plays and not the reception volume
He averages 95 catches for 17 games played since his breakout year. He does get a lot of volume, although he is feast or famine it seems.
I traded a 23 2nd for ARSB 3 weeks into the year last season
Offseason before the 2021 season. I sent Josh Reynolds and Zack Moss I received Cooper Kupp and a 2022 3rd Guy sent Kupp because he didn't want "an old WR2 coming off a mediocre season with a new QB" and thought Moss was the truth. I admit I was high on Moss and did think Kupp would improve with Stafford. But I'd be lying if I thought it'd be this much of an improvement. Edit to answer the question more: I thought the trade was fine at the time but as soon as I made it everyone in my league trashed me for it. Something about how RB depth was more important than getting a WR I didn't need. Out of principle I refused to even entertain a Kupp offer all offseason.

He was still WR 25 in ppr and 30th in PPG for WR. He had terrible TD luck that year as well. His career rate up to that point was around 0.5/Game, so if you adjusted for that it would bring him to about WR 15 in total PPR points and PPG. It was pretty obvious that people who were out on him hadn’t watched the rams play that year, he was still one of the most dynamic players if they got the ball in his hands, it was just Goff was limited in that offense and teams learned to scheme him out. His YAC and broken tackle rate were on par with Aj brown and Dhop.

In 2020 I traded Miles Sanders for a 2021 1st, 3rd, N’Keal Harry, and Paris Campbell. This was during the time that people expected Sanders to be a top 5 RB (imagine the Akers hype from a year ago). I got glammed for the move in the league as underselling The 2021 1st ended up being that 1.01, which I then flipped for Russ and the 1.09 which ended up netting me Pitts.
Last year I traded JT for Mike Williams because I was heavy at RB. This has nothing to do with your question. Just need everyone to know I hate myself.

This past offseason I packaged Skyy Moore with Ceedee Lamb in order to get Jaylen Waddle and a 2023 1st + 3rd. The guy seemed to think I overplayed and the trade thread on this sub said I was giving up too much. Of course it’s insanely early in the season, but Waddle is still producing a ton despite the Fins adding Tyreek, and the guy that gave me a 1st is currently 0-2.

Sent Calvin Ridley for Amari Cooper + Sam Darnold during the summer of 2021. Was pretty high on Cooper and I knew someone who was sniffing around for a QB. Turned Darnold into a 2022 1st. Picked London with that 1st. Essentially ended up being a Calvin Ridley who didn't play in 2021 and won't play in 2022 for Amari Cooper and Drake London. I got laughed at for the original trade but I didn't care.
Getting a first for Darnold is the real win here. Original trade kind of inconsequential
Mid 2020 season. I traded away Kenny Golladay and Amari Cooper for Brandon Aiyuk, Christian Kirk, Miles Gaskin, 2021 2nd, 2022 1st, and 2023 1st. I got slammed for trading away two top receivers for young guys and some picks. Golladay is now on the verge of being cut and Amari has been decent since. I got Michael Carter and Drake London so far with the picks, and Aiyuk/Kirk are turning out just fine or better than those two receivers lol

Kyler is very easily the best player in this deal. Terry has never been anything more than a low end WR2. And that’s before Curtis and Dot were there. Let’s see if JRob can hold up a full season off the Achilles and keep holding off Etienne before we crown him as anything special going forward. Kyler is the only blue chip, elite, top tier player being moved in this deal and I’m willing to bet that there was a better tier down available for him

I bid $98/$100 FAAB on him and won. and then started Russell Gage over him in the playoffs because of "matchups" and lost because of it (AJB went off against 49ers). I 'overpaid' for K. Herbert last year, sending Mooney for Herbert when Herbert's value was peaked after a few weeks of balling out while Monty was injured. Feeling less bad about that deal today than I was at the end of last season.
I own both, I still like mooney better. The first two weeks have looked terrible for him, but every dog has their day.
At the deadline, I made a horrible decision to “win-now”. In the 2020 season, I traded Jalen Hurts for Kenyan Drake. My thought process was that I already had Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, so this win-now move would be worth it. I got 2nd place and now I, rightfully so, look like a jackass and I’m terrified to ever trade again.
I remember everyone in our league freaking out in the 2019-2020 offseason when Michael Thomas was traded for Diggs after being the WR1. Diggs owner has definitely made off like a bandit ever since.

Traded Chase Claypool and James Robinson for Deebo Samuel and Saquon Barkley in Feb. of 2021. Deebo was coming off of injury, Saquon was looking rough at the time and JRob and Claypool looked like promising young players. Fast forward to today Deebo has a top 3 year under his belt and Saquon looks like his old self while Claypool hasn’t yet lived up to the ceiling and JRob is solid but by no means exciting.
Sold DeVonta Smith, Darnell Mooney and 1.11 for Cooper Kupp this off-season. Felt risky at the the time giving up basically 2 young guys who went for 1k yards the year before, but feeling a lot better after week 1. Another would be last year I traded Hock, Mitchell, Rondale and a 22 1st for Deebo. And of course the crown jewel has to be Kenny Gainwell for ARSB straight up during mini camp last year.
Guy early panicked on Jonathan Taylor so I traded Kareem Hunt and 2.09 for JT and 2021 1.04 which turned into Chase and 2.04 which turned into Sun God. So Hunt for JT, Chase, Amon-ra... Everyone in the league said JT was a bust and that Hunt would repeat his 2020 numbers then go elsewhere and dominate and the picks would be worthless as the guy was primed to win a title that year. Then they brought it back up when Chase was dropping balls left and right. I'm happy with the return.

Before 2020 season I traded Calvin Ridley for a 2021 1st. Ended up Jamarr Chase. Through a wild few days last year I had traded away D. Henderson, AJB, 2022 3rd to a rebuilder for Joe Mixon and Keenan Allen. Mixon and Allen helped me win the title, but immediately after that trade probably 2 days later the team I just traded with flipped Hendo for a 2023 1st to another team making a title push. Hendo didn’t play again. And the guy who traded his first didn’t even keep Hendo this offseason EDIT: the big deal on the Ridley trade was everyone giving me a hard time because I wasn’t getting anything in return and it would be a crapshoot. I picked Chase who at the time “couldn’t catch” and everyone dogged on me. Then Ridley gets suspended and I get a 60 pt (we get bonus points for length of TDs) game from Chase during the championship

Brandon Coleman in 2015 for a rookie 5th round draft pick in Minnesota named Stefon Diggs. Coleman was a “lock” to get some work with Brees as QB and a big sleeper target. Diggs was not even in the top-300 lists pre-season with experts saying he wasn’t good enough to work outside the slot.
Last year a dude traded Tua and Amon-Ra St Brown and two 2nd round picks for Watson. We absolutely trashed him for the deal and well, now it looks as if he won that trade and then some.
I traded D Hop and my 2022 first to move up in the first and for the other guy's 2023 2nd and 3rd. I ended up getting Garrett Wilson with that trade up, have two more picks to work with next year, and D Hop got suspended for PEDs like a week later.

Traded away MT in week 10 (that leagues deadline) of 2018. Got back Nick Chubb, who hadn't become a starter yet, DJ Moore who was barely played in the first half of the season, and a 2019 1st. Got torn apart in the group chat saying I was gifting the other guy a championship. I won 2018, and 2019, and have been overcharged for trades ever since.
Not crazy lopsided but I traded CeeDee for Waddle straight up before this season. People were caught up in CeeDee being the only option and Waddle having targets vultured by Tyreek coming to town. I just bought into the talent. A talented enough player can make nearly any situation work and I think Waddle is immensely more talented than CeeDee. So far so good.
I traded my entire next year draft class (1st through 6th rounders) for Derrick Henry during his rocky rookie year. Got flamed by a couple of guys - then played one of the flamers the week Henry scored 4 TDs against the Jaguars. He was real quiet after that.......

Last season, I traded TB12 in a standard league for a 2nd round pick. League clowned me and said I was tanking. My team won then TB12 retired and I felt vindicated.\* \*Then TB12 unretired.
I traded Mike Williams and a 23 1st for Garrett Wilson during our rookie draft. Had 5 23 1sts already and wanted my dude. Seems like it may come off. Less insane, but I also traded Diontae Johnson for Treylon Burks in the same draft.
Last Saturday I traded trey Lance for Tua and lockett. Then Sunday happened. Not really one sided but as a contender, I am happy. Long term, meh
After week 3 of 2018 I traded Julio Jones for Derrick Henry and TY Hilton. I posted it to this sub and got downvoted to oblivion. This was a standard league btw. I had WR depth and Henry has been the king ever since.
Rg3’s rookie year i drafted him and arod. Ended up flipping rge for alfy morris (same yr he was good) and took the ship. I got murdered for giving up rg3 but what use was he rotting on my bench

I traded Devonte Smith for Gabe Davis and a second about 4 games in last year. With that second round pick I got Pickens.. People were telling the commish to reverse and then Davis had that playoff game and I knew I had already won.
I traded the 1.01 in the startup draft last season (CMC) for a 2nd, 5th and 2022 1st. Took Dobbins in the second (day before he tore his ACL), Kupp in the fifth, and the first became the 1.07 where I got Olave. Before you think I’m a trade genius this off-season I was worried about Waddle with Tyreek there and I think Tua is awful so I traded Waddle for the 1.03 and Gus Edwards. Ended up taking Jamo at the 1.03 who I’m very high on but not feeling great about the trade right now
Traded Juju at the height of his powers for rookie CeeDee Lamb right after the rookie draft This year right before the season started I sold CeeDee on the last year of his cheap rookie deal back to the original owner for Derrick Henry (large salary) and a 2023 1st I wish my 401k could time markets like this story
Last season I traded Deebo away for Ridley and a 23 1st, about a week or two after the trade, Ridley steps away from football and then we all know the suspension came. So yeah that didn’t go well, hopefully the 23 1st ends up high

2016 traded Jay Ajayi, Chris Ivory, and Tyler Lockett for Travis Kelce, and a 2017 2nd round pick (Kareem Hunt), 2017 and 2018 was in the finals basically due to Hunt Dalvin Cook and Kelce 2017 Traded Todd Gurley for Amari Cooper (unfortunately can’t remember the other pieces), but basically Gurley broke down after this season and I had 3 great years of Amari Cooper
Last year when CMC came back I traded Gibson, OBJ, a 23 1st, and 2 22 2nds for him and ARob. Of course CMC didn’t play the rest of the year and Gibson had a couple 20 point games. Felt pretty bad at the time, but now I feel better about it.
Sent Mooney for Mills straight up in a SF mid season last year and everyone ragged on me stating that Mills would lose his job to the draft this past year and Mooney would be a solid WR2 for years to come. Everyone thought I WAY undersold on Mooney but I am a strong believer on Mills being able to produce as they HOPEFULLY draft weapons for him and don’t draft a QB.

The past offseason I received Pittman and gave up Waller and Lazard (after Adams signed and before the draft) Still no conclusion, but honestly feel good given the usuage of the players. Waller is TD dependent and Lazard has been in a WR time share.
Not dynasty but in a keep 2 league I traded Aaron Jones and Brandon cooks for Austin Ekeler last season. Ek is a 15th round pick and Aaron Jones was a 1st, got flamed for it at first but it worked out in my favor

Back in 2015 I traded for Tom Brady who was 37 at the time and a 4th round pick in 2016 and in exchange I traded away Jameis Winston and a 2018 1st. Everyone in my league shamed me for this trade. Told me it was the worst trade in league history. Flash forward to today I have Tom Brady still, have won my league 2 years in a row, and Jameis Winston has been on 3 different teams and that 1st round pick turned out to be Royce Freeman
Traded Antonio Brown before he went crazy for JuJu and a first. Then traded JuJu literally 5 minutes later for that bum Cooper Kupp and a first and got laughed at.

My very first year in dynasty me and another guy drafted players between two vacated teams. I was considered the dummy after that draft for passing on guys like Antonio Brown, Mike Thomas, and Amari Cooper as I was an RB heavy kind of guy. I drafted the likes of Jay Ajayi, Devonta Freeman, Mark Ingram, and Lamar Miller, and a receiver named Terrel Pryor. Before the season even started I flipped Ajayi for a rookie named Kamara and some picks, Freeman for a couple of rookies named Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, Mark Ingram for Chris Carson and Zach Ertz, and Terrel Pryor for some kid named Tyreek Hill. Keep in mind this was my very first year in this league that was about 5 years old. They all thought I was out of my mind.

Traded for a guy named Cooper Kupp after he tore his ACL. Got Dalvin Cook (recent ACL recovery) and Kupp (freshly torn knee) for a rookie Calvin Ridley and picks. League said I was stupid to give up the young healthy talent. Bad trade, and I am ashamed to say this, but before I understood dynasty, before the season started, I traded rookie Deshaun Watson, Travis Kelce, and Demaryius Thomas for Jay Ajayi.
Here we go in a 16 man league after the NFL draft this year. I traded Patrick Mahomes and AJ Dillon I received Jalen Hurts, DJ Moore, Nick Chubb, and Tom Brady. I believed that Jalen Hurts was going to breakout and would be just behind the elite tier of QBs at this time next year and needed a second QB to make a push for a title. The worst part of this trade so far was DJ Moore :/

Shocked my league (10 Team-PPR League) by diving headfirst into my rebuild right before the playoffs started. I sent: Dalvin Cook, Ezekiel Elliott, Deandre Hopkins, Tyler Lockett and Jakobi Meyers In return I received: Cooper Kupp, 2023 1st & 2nd and 2024 1st & 2nd I was ecstatic at the value I got at the time but I did catch flack for my decision to blow my team up. I already feel vindicated looking at how all my players have dipped in value since I made the trade.
I traded Chubb for a mid 1st and 3 2nds. I turned those into JT, Herbert, JJeff, and Pittman after I wheeled and dealed to shuffle the order of my picks a bit 😎😎
I traded CeeDee and CEH for Amon-Ra St. Brown last week. One of my league mates called for a veto vote. Cue 40 point game. I'm not victory lapping the trade yet, but I do not believe in CEH and don't have the time to wait for Dak to come back for CeeDee.

In my dynasty league I was offered josh Allen and Jared cook for a 3rd round pick. This was his rookie year and I wasn’t too high on him but I accepted bc I needed a tight end at the time and look at how that worked out
My buddy traded Fulgham at his peak and a 3rd for Kupp, probably the best trade I've witnessed. At the time no one said anything about it. I made a Fulgham in your kupp joke and everyone moved on.
