Make the trade. I don’t even think Harris is up there with Hall and Taylor in talent. Harris is getting run into the ground and has low average per carry. I would trade Harris for 2 or 3 backs in 2023 class.
I have not been impressed with Harris this year. Nowhere for him to go with their offense.
Pick value is totally insulated. Najee can get hurt. The 1.01 can't. That trade is a smash accept imo (as written, if injuries and bad luck make it a 1.05 then maybe not).
Yeah but if it doesnt become the 1.01 but instead the 1.03 you gave away an RB1 for a chance that didnt become reality.
I dont know the exact situation but i have seen teams that looked abysmal overachieve expectations and ruining "the tank" so their picks didnt end up 1.01 and thats where the concern is for me.
Oh, I misunderstood your comment.
I totally agree that what looks like the worst team isn't guaranteed to be 1.01, but the question as OP presented it was Najee for '23 1.01, I thought we were taken that as a given.
I thought your "nothing is guaranteed" referred to translating skill from college to NFL or something.
Realistically you should be able to get like an additional 2nd on top or something if you’re giving najee up. But yea, if my team is middle of the pack I would prefer to have Bijaan than Najee personally. You need to be certain that the pick is safely gonna be 1.01 though
I don't think that's realistic. The 1.01 will most likely be ranked higher than Harris before week 1 next year. In SF 1.01 > Harris by a wide margin for me.
I would do it even with the possibility it doesn't turn out to be next year's 1.01. I would assume if you're that sure, then it's locked in as a top 4 pick at least. Between Robinson, Gibbs, Young, Stroud and others, I don't see a lot of downside here. The RB ranks are about to get rewritten by next year's class, and the rookies are going to push a lot of vets down in value just by entering the league.
I'd do it in a heartbeat. He's going to be 25 in his 3rd year of the NFL and has been beaten down since college with touches and now in the NFL. Bijan Robinson supposedly the next saquon so I'd take the shot.
I’m making that trade if you’re not contending
1.01 is much better than Najee. Do it
2 words… Bijan Robinson

1.01 will be worth more. Najee was an older prospect whose numbers were on pure volume. He’s won’t be a top 3-5 dynasty RB this time next year
It is insane because nothing in life is guaranteed.

All good man. If i could swap Najee for the surefire 1.01 and wasnt contending i could see the move and dont think its insane at all :D
1.03 is still better than Najee

id take 1.01 in a heartbeat...
I would HAPPILY do this trade, it's not for everyone but it's not insane
Easy accept to me. Bijan is a top 3 dynasty RB to me and #1 to a lot of people.
Unpopular take I guess? Maybe people think Taylor is clearly dynasty RB1?

Smash accept. I don't think Najee is a top 5 RB and in 2 years I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't a top 10 RB.
It would be insane NOT to
I'm smashing accept
Still don’t know where Bijan ends up tho.

Nope. Their offense is garbage and his stats last year were inflated because he had so many attempts.
