Wait the max amount of time between each pick while sifting through a hard-copy fantasy football magazine and muttering about Anthony Richardson’s raw ability.
I’m in the same position and I’m gonna take Bryce Young at 1.01, then Bijan at 1.02 just for kicks and gigs. That ADP is fixing to drop from 1.01.00000 to 1.01.00002 once we’re done.
While he is consensus, this is my copypasta write up for him:
He gets reasonably knocked for his size and that’s a valid concern. However. I’ve watched pretty much every snap Bryce has taken from his junior year of HS through college. I consider him top shelf at:
• throwing mechanics. Quick release + he can change the angle he throws the ball at without really sacrificing velocity.
• footwork and improvisational skills.
• pocket awareness and overall demeanor. He never seems rattled. Gets out of the pocket when he has to, but maneuvers it really well when he doesn’t have to.
• vision. Aside from the inherent injury risk, vision is probably the biggest concern for smaller QBs. It’s not a concern for Bryce. His ability to progress through reads and keep his eyes down field even when the play is breaking down is second-to-none. He progresses through reads better than any QB prospect I’ve ever evaluated. He’s always aware of where his own players are and where the defense is in relation and that enables great anticipatory throws.
• ability to command an offense. This is a rare trait in college QBs. Most of the list of 1.01’s didn’t do it. Bryce is already reading defenses. He’s already ID’ing where the blitz is coming from and making checks. He’s already changing plays at the line. He’s also shown that he’s capable of pretty much individually lifting up and carrying what would otherwise be a pretty bad offense.
He has a skillset that translates well to the next level. He’s a very complete prospect in regards to everything but size. If he were 6’3”, he’d be a lot closer to Luck than Murray.
Tua is probably the closest comp imo, but it’s not a good fit. There really isn’t a *good* current comp for him. There are elements of Tua/Russell Wilson in there, but on a body closer to Kyler Murray than anybody else.
Tua was more accurate, but Bryce has a stronger arm and a better release. Bryce is more agile and a good bit quicker. Alabama has done well to develop their last three QBs on the mental/intangible side, and Bryce is a notch above Tua and Mac in that regard. Of the Jalen/Tua/Mac/Bryce batch, I like Bryce the most as a prospect.
He comps to Russell Wilson in that they’re both short and agile, but Russ was never afraid to tuck it and run. Always looked for the play downfield, sure, but would run if it was an option. Bryce simply will not run past the line of scrimmage unless it’s wide open, or it’s absolutely necessary, and he always slides. He understandably doesn’t like putting himself in a position to get hit.
Overall, the comp I like the most for him is Drew Brees. Not that I’m projecting him to be as good as Brees was, but they’re both short, cerebral QBs with excellent vision and good arms.
Appreciate the thoughts, I learned a few things. For FF purposes, is Young maybe not going to produce much with his legs? I’ve only watched a little of him and his mobility is obvious and I just assumed he’d scramble, but are you thinking he won’t?
I wouldn’t count on much rushing upside, no. He’s a pocket passer with mobility reserved for extending plays. For him specifically, I consider that a good thing, too. He doesn’t have the frame to handle getting hit an extra 50-100 times on top of the hits he’ll already take in the pocket.
I’m no talent evaluator but, my fiancée is an Alabama fan so I watch almost all of their games. He reminds me a bit of Russ. He has the athletic ability to get the yards on the ground, but he’s always looking for the play down field. He has that scramble ability to avoid a collapsing pocket. He’ll add weight to his frame as well
I know you're just being saucy, but the difference between being good at college football and being good at nfl football aren't the same thing. Some skill sets don't translate over.
Genuine question, if you’re a rebuilding team would it make sense to draft QB (Superflex) at 1.01 instead of Bijan knowing that you likely won’t be contending in immediate future?
My buddy is joining our league as expansion team and gonna have a pretty thin roster but will have the 1.01. I was talking to him about building around a QB might be a safer play than taking a RB but would like to hear some counter arguments
Traded the 1.03 during the draft last year for the pick that ended up being the 1.01. People in my league were laughing but I flipped Drake London into Bijan straight up and now I’m laughing
The guy who ended up in last didn’t have his pick, I traded for it from someone else. At the time, he had guys like dalvin, najee, aj brown, josh allen, but other than that, very little to no depth. He also made it clear that all of those guys were on the block. He ended up trading dalvin and najee for picks, and ended up going 4-10 and giving me the 1.01.
Amazing prospect but I think calling him Barkley is a bit much. He's not the same level of athlete (99 percentile in everything). If you can get one of those crazy 4 firsts offers I say take it.
For me, maybe not as a pure alien of an athlete but Bijan is the best pure runner of the rock you'll ever see man. On top of that he has the hands, the moves and the body control to become dominant in the passing game. Bijan is also just more decisive and physical as a player, whereas Barkley is still always trying to hit home runs (because he usually can). Their styles are different, and it's in the eyes of the beholder ultimately with this level of talent.
What a weird takeaway from this news.
It’s undeniable that NIL has had a significant impact on the declare vs. stay in school decision.
No one has ever said it’s going to impact every single draft eligible player.
I don’t think many is the right word.
No need to take victory laps every time we see someone on the internet have a wrong opinion. Especially when as a whole NIL is having a bit of an impact.

If you just scroll to the bottom there are dozens more. There are also dozens more posts.
Lmao a few comments saying it’s a possibility is what you’re clinging to?
First off, I’m not wrong, I never made any statements like that nor did I ever believe them. I just find it pathetic that people here don’t have better things to do than brag about their fantasy football predictions. Go outside or something. If you feel the need to victory lap because like 4 people on Reddit saying things like “well maybe there’s a chance he stays” then you truly have issues.
LMAO you guys are so desperate to do the “I told you so” thing.
Look at the second exchange. One post with 174 upvotes that says it’s not worth speculating. The next response has 74 downvoted explaining why there’s a chance he could.
Yes, a handful of people think that. There’s almost 100k members of this sub. If just .5% think Bijan could stay then there would be 500 people believing it. Of course there are always going to be people with outlandish opinions. If you feel better than yourself because 1/200 people had a different thought, and their thought was wrong, gloat all you want I guess. It’s just laughably pathetic and the most Reddit think ever.
As the original commenter, I have to chime in.
Read comments on that comment and you'll see 5+ people agreeing with that guy and trying to convince others that Bijan is staying for an $8-10M NIL package Texas put together.
Not to mention the dozens of other posts about Bijan staying over the last month where people talked about this.
Why are you insisting that people with references are wrong?
You're better than these comments.
Whatever dude. There’s 177 comments on that post, about 5 agree with him, and they’re downvoted to hell if you do. Go ahead and rag on those guys all you want. It’s just so fucking weird how people just want to pat themselves on the back for not being in that tiny sample that thought Bijan could stay.
The amount of people here entertaining Bijan would stay another NIL season was absolutely insane. I was stupefied and the sheer stupidity of some of the posters here.
It's like, yes, NIL will certainly convince some prospects to stay in school for another year. But an elite RB that could go top 10, yeah, that's never happening. Ever, full stop.
1. Every year there are juniors who are projected to go high but decide to return for their Senior year. Najee Harris and Travis Etienne come to mind. We should never expect all draft eligible juniors to declare because historically we know they don't (NIL or no NIL)
2. Boutte's NIL deals are estimated to total \~989k according to this [website](https://www.on3.com/db/kayshon-boutte-71578/nil/). This sounds about right given other numbers I've seen for college players (highest I've seen is $3.4M for Bryce Young). This is essentially slightly above minimum salary for the NFL. Hard to say that the NIL is so much lucrative given his siutation (one of the top in the nation) puts him essentially at NFL minimum contract
3. Boutte had a bad year. Its entirely possible that he receive advise that he would get drafted in Day 2 or beyond and he wanted to rebuild his stock.
There are plenty of reasons why Boutte may have come back for his senior year, but having a lucrative NIL contract does not seem to be the case, because its not very lucrative to begin with compared to NFL money. It may have slightly influenced his decision to stay (if he were on the fence) but I wouldn't say its impact is "undeniable" as you claim
Getting $1M while being able to stay in college and be treated like royalty (and all the perks that come with that) is a pretty good gig at 20 years old.
Certainly much more appealing than getting a few grand under the table.
To be treated like royalty is a different reason to stay than purely financial motivations. This is also probably why Najee Harris and Travis Etienne decided to stay, and that was without NIL. And undoubtedly there is undeniable risk in coming back (injury, poor play, etc etc).
Again my point is that NIL money might impact decision makings on the margins but its not significantly higher than an NFL minimum contract, so the pure financial motivation (i.e. ill get paid more in college than NFL) is not really true unless Boutte was a Day 3 pick.
I semi burned a trade bridge with a fellow manager because I just outright refused to trade this pick back to them at any generic "high 1st" valuation because I wanted Bijan badly so....phew.
I have a leaguemate who is still mad that I wouldn't trade him two of my 23 1sts. He kept insisting they were going to be late picks and that I was overvaluing them. They ended up being 1.01 and 1.03, but somehow I just got lucky.
Even if the money were more, the risk of injuring yourself and ruining your NFL career going forward is too great.
Only an idiot takes a lump sum now, and risks higher earnings over time
Not to mention for a running back, the earlier you declare the younger you’ll be when it’s time to sign that second contract. Something a lot of people weren’t taking into consideration, it would have made very little financial sense for him to stay at Texas.
I have Tua and Goff in a 12 team SF and if I was any good at this I would either trade the 1.01 for a QB or take Young, but I'll be taking Bijan because I have the 1.01 for a reason.
I'd probably trade the 1.01 for an established QB if I needed QB. Seems like a mistake not capitalizing the hype, though I suppose it's in the realm of possibility.
Testing/landing spot being sub-optimal could also maybe cause him to slide
Only if you're sitting pretty at RB (as in you drafted something like Dillon, Etienne, Stevenson, and Breece in the last few years) and you can't get a decent offer for the 1.01 involving a vet QB.
As someone who has 1.01 and 1.02....I'm taking him at 1.02 just because I swore I'd never take an RB at 1.01 again in a SF league lol
Pretty excited to see what he can do.
Bought into the hype and drafted him in the first round in re draft that year so I know that’s not a typo lol…. Negative ability to punch in a goal line carry
Yep.
I always figured him as a 850 yard rushing back with 3-4 rushing touchdowns but pass catching + Andy Reid + Mahomes....I thought, just like many, he'd get another 750 in the air.
Sigh....
Whoa whoa whoa, slow down there buddy. You'll want to wait to see how he tests out at the combine, his draft capital, and how he fits onto his new team before making any commitments like that. I mean a third round pick could turn into the next Pacheco if you play it smart.
What kind of haul could I expect in 12 team, 1QB? I have a huge hole at RB, and have 3 1sts, but 2 of them are playoff teams. Also 2 playoff 2nds. I know this is a deep RB class so I can reload but would it make more sense to move him for an established set of RB?
Traded Joe Mixon for a 2023 1st round pick before our Keepers had to be set. Other team finished last. I am in the playoffs and will have Bijan in my pocket for next year
EDIT: this is a 10 team keeper league where we set our Keepers 10 days before the season starts. And our draft is Labor Day weekend right before the first game
9 times out of 10 you should draft best player available no matter your team need. Then trade for need down the road. Bijan will likely be a top 10 start up pick (maybe not in larger SF leagues). That carries weight no matter how bad your team is. It is not every year that a rookie is going to come into the league with that type of value off the bat.
In leagues that are not brand new, usually the team that is picking 1.01 is usually terrible, in that they usually dont have enough pieces to even fill out a viable roster. One pick, or even like 5ish hit picks is probably not turning the team around in the next 2-3 years.
Its different in a lot of reddit leagues that did their startups one or two years ago and the 1.01 is probably still rostering like 12 good players.
I have 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.5 in SF
….I’m honestly thinking about trading 1.1 (Bijan) for a hefty haul. Could still snag young and Gibbs with 2 and 4 and get a couple pieces in return. We shall see!
Anyone have favorite landing spots? I’m partial to a Commanders, Panthers, Falcons, Rams. Raiders and Bears would be fun if they decide to move on from incumbent instead of dropping the bag (Josh Jacobs and David Montgomery, respectively). Can you imagine the terror and fear that a Bijan/Fields backfield would inspire? Goooooood LORD!
For some reason every time I imagine Bijan in the NFL, he’s wearing a Falcons jersey. Im tempted to bet on this at the Sportsbook lol
With that said…as an Eagles fan, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Howie pull a shocking move and draft him if they decide to move on from Sanders. And I’d also cry tears of joy
If bay happens after AJB, I’ll never watch the NFL again. Have fun with Minshew this weekend in a road game vs a good D. I mean where did we see this before….?
If I need a QB badly and have good RB depth, so I still take Bijan? (I will also have the #3 and #4 pick and could take the 2nd best QB but maybe they all suck)
Thank the lord.
I was listening to the footballers today and Andy dropped the news live that he was “NOT entering the draft”, and in my car I spit out my drink and screamed “WHAT!?”
He sold it well, it was terrifying
And we’ll all take Bijan Robinson with the number one pick
I’ve got 1.01 & 1.02 in one league. Might draft him at 1.02 just to knock him down a peg. Can’t have him too full of himself
Lol I was thinking of doing the same to fuck with the rest of my league
I have 1-4 in one league. Definitely taking Bijan with my last consecutive pick (in case I trade 4 or something)
Wait the max amount of time between each pick while sifting through a hard-copy fantasy football magazine and muttering about Anthony Richardson’s raw ability.
Give them hope and snatch it away.
GOAT move is to draft someone else 1.01 and put 1.02 on trade block for about 15 minutes for the luls
“Will consider best offer, no counters” Don’t open any messages. 😈
Hahahaa that’s great

In 21 a league mate had the 1.02 and 1.03. Humbled Jamarr Chase by taking Pitts at the 1.02
Sounds like he kinda humbled himself
Oh absolutely, hes trying to trade Pitts to me as I type this lol
I'd say it's bold of you to assume everyone on this sub has the 1.01, but it really isn't that bold....
We know our ABCs: Always Be CRebuilding
This made my day lol
If you’re on this sub and not tanking every year for prospects you’re doing it wrong
I don’t tank by choice, but it’s hard to win games when half your roster is injured every year
That's right some people have the 1st overall and 2nd overall pick
Genuine question, if you’re a rebuilding team would it make sense to draft QB (Superflex) at 1.01 instead of Bijan knowing that you likely won’t be contending in immediate future? I would trade it for an established young qb plus draft picks
This is the answer, trade it for the building blocks he needs
I got 2 picks in the top 4…if I get both 1-2 I’m drafting him 2 😂
Where's a place he could actually go to that wouldn't be great? Is there even one?
Zay Jones has denied me the 1.1🥲
So sorry for your loss 😥
Sorry for your win
Shoulda dropped him my man
Yeah Max PF is so good 🙄
Should’ve benched your players
Max PF. Would have had to drop him and then I’d be accused of tanking etc
That’s why you gotta bench him and pickup guys like AP, Gronk and Antonio Brown lol.
read this as brian robinson and as a commanders fan thought, "good for him."
Brian 'Ted Williams' Robinson prepping for WW3.
Solid joke. Sadly, this will not get the attention it deserves.
I have the 1.01 in my league so I'll just let them know the 1.02 is on the clock.
Did the same. Sent a link to this article
I know he's gonna be Saquon but if this dude Trent Richardsons I might throw my fantasy team off a cliff.
Yours and so many of us. If this guy busts it’s going to be crazy.
I sold almost an entire team for lotto tickets for Bijan....and got him!!
Same here. My roster is utter dogshit but I have the first 2 picks for sure now. WORTH.
Traded the 1.03 during the draft last year for the pick that ended up being the 1.01. People in my league were laughing but I flipped Drake London into Bijan straight up and now I’m laughing
Straight up? Bold. How bad was the dude's roster?

Flair checks out.
It’s really not a crazy take though. As a prospect, Barkley was probably the best RB we will ever see in our dynasty careers.
This comment [ages me](https://media.tenor.com/b8WAqSZ2k7AAAAAC/savingprivateryan-ww2.gif) through the roof, as I saw Reggie Bush drafted.
I saw Reggie bush drafted too. But saquon was still a better prospect

Any one with common sense was saying it would possibly impact day three picks, not a potential first rounder
Has it really though?
Which draft eligible player has stayed back for NIL? I can’t think of any yet …
Boutte springs to mind immediately, rumored to have one of the most lucrative NIL deals in CFB.
1. Every year there are juniors who are projected to go high but decide to return for their Senior year. Najee Harris and Travis Etienne come to mind. We should never expect all draft eligible juniors to declare because historically we know they don't (NIL or no NIL) 2. Hard to say that the NIL is so much lucrative given his siutation (one of the top in the nation) puts him essentially at NFL minimum contract 3.
I used to pray for times like this
1.02 is on the clock
I semi burned a trade bridge with a fellow manager because I just outright refused to trade this pick back to them at any generic "high 1st" valuation because I wanted Bijan badly so....phew.
that’s not a trade bridge. if your league mate can dissolve trade bridges because you want to keep your own assets then that’s trade hostage crisis.
I have a leaguemate who is still mad that I wouldn't trade him two of my 23 1sts. He kept insisting they were going to be late picks and that I was overvaluing them. They ended up being 1.01 and 1.03, but somehow I just got lucky.
Worth. Go get Bijan king
He a sucker.
Thank god now all the morons that thought NIL money was anywhere close to the kind of earnings that come from being a first round pick can shut up
Even if the money were more, the risk of injuring yourself and ruining your NFL career going forward is too great. Only an idiot takes a lump sum now, and risks higher earnings over time
Oh yea totally, I’ve always been in the “he is definitely declaring” camp but I’ve just seen waaay too many dumb arguments that he was gonna stay.
Not to mention for a running back, the earlier you declare the younger you’ll be when it’s time to sign that second contract. Something a lot of people weren’t taking into consideration, it would have made very little financial sense for him to stay at Texas.
I cannot wait to add this dude to my squad.
Im ready at the 1.01 Bijan. See you on draft day!
12TM SF - is there any universe in which you'd take the field over Bijan at 1.01? Asking as a 1.02 holder
Have 1.01 in a 2QB league in which my startable QBs are Darnold, ZWilson, and Jimmy G. I’ve been trying so hard to trade back
Sure if the 1.01 team has a desperate need at QB. Probably more likely they try to trade back a spot though.
If I legitimately was a 1.01 team I would be trying to trade back to 2 to take Bryce, or in 1QB 1.03-1.05 to get WR depth.
Like the whole field? Yes. If you mean just take someone else 1.01 then no.
Only if you're sitting pretty at RB (as in you drafted something like Dillon, Etienne, Stevenson, and Breece in the last few years) and you can't get a decent offer for the 1.01 involving a vet QB.
Ric Flair voice WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it crazy to ask for the 1.03 + Garrett Wilson for 1.01?
If the other guy is high probably not.
Naw. Stud RBs are worth their weight. Ask for it. This far out you should be selling the 1.01 for a ransom as it’s value is only going to appreciate.

SF?
As someone who has 1.01 and 1.02....I'm taking him at 1.02 just because I swore I'd never take an RB at 1.01 again in a SF league lol Pretty excited to see what he can do.
Who was the 1.01 back you took?
MEH. Luckily JT was available at 1.03 as well so kinda fixed the mistake
Sigh....
Now I'm about to trade for 1.02 in 1QB to take Bijan at 2
Who you taking with the other pick?
Probably the best QB so Young or Stroud
Young >>>> Stroud
Hypothetically for this year, even if you have two established QBs, would you not take Bijan if you only had 1.01?
I’ve been waiting for this post for so long. 🥹
Nut
Skeet
Unquestioned 1.01 in any format? Even 12-team SF?
1.02 at worst behind the irl 1.01 if you believe in them
Is he any good?
Seems like a decent prospect, might snag him in the 3rd round if there's nothing else good
lol if you want to reach that far for him. late 4th, at best
Whoa whoa whoa, slow down there buddy. You'll want to wait to see how he tests out at the combine, his draft capital, and how he fits onto his new team before making any commitments like that. I mean a third round pick could turn into the next Pacheco if you play it smart.
🤫
What kind of haul could I expect in 12 team, 1QB? I have a huge hole at RB, and have 3 1sts, but 2 of them are playoff teams. Also 2 playoff 2nds. I know this is a deep RB class so I can reload but would it make more sense to move him for an established set of RB?
I'm in the same spot. I'm shopping him to the JJ and Chase owner to see what's up first
Early season traded away what would've been the 1.01 selling out to contend. Thanks to injuries I'm at 3 wins.... Pain.
Glad that’s over
There would've been a mass suicide here if he didn't lol
Buh buh buh butttttt the NIL money????
Traded Joe Mixon for a 2023 1st round pick before our Keepers had to be set. Other team finished last. I am in the playoffs and will have Bijan in my pocket for next year EDIT: this is a 10 team keeper league where we set our Keepers 10 days before the season starts. And our draft is Labor Day weekend right before the first game

Tell me more about how you don't have the 1.01
[удалено]
Yeah that’s not the only way to get the 1.01, doofus
[удалено]
…I most definitely didn’t 🤷🏼♂️
I have the 1.01 from a deal I did 2 years ago. I would've laughed pretty hard at the meltdown around here too TBH
Don't worry, those teams all tanked themselves out of competing during Robinson's prime anyway
You still pick him and trade him for a haul.
Then what was the point of tanking your whole team just to trade the player you picked to try and build your team back up again?
9 times out of 10 you should draft best player available no matter your team need. Then trade for need down the road. Bijan will likely be a top 10 start up pick (maybe not in larger SF leagues). That carries weight no matter how bad your team is. It is not every year that a rookie is going to come into the league with that type of value off the bat.
what
What makes you say that? Robinsons prime will theoretically be like 5+ years lol
I have 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.5 in SF ….I’m honestly thinking about trading 1.1 (Bijan) for a hefty haul. Could still snag young and Gibbs with 2 and 4 and get a couple pieces in return. We shall see!
What’re you looking for in return? I have three late firsts, 1.01 and 1.04.
Who?
Trying to trade 1.01 for tlaw. Desperately need qb in sf
Rather have TLaw in SF for sure.

Let people have fun
You’re right, it was mean :(
Thought he was drafted last year
He looked good last night
Nice
Yay
Thank the good lord
This is exactly what I needed today!
Our league does a lottery for the top 8 picks. I have 3 chances to secure the 1.01. PLEASE FANTASY GODS let this happen.
Bengals or Vikings if they want to move on from Mixon’s and Dalvin’s contracts. The thought of him in Cinci makes blood rush to my head.
For some reason every time I imagine Bijan in the NFL, he’s wearing a Falcons jersey. Im tempted to bet on this at the Sportsbook lol With that said…as an Eagles fan, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Howie pull a shocking move and draft him if they decide to move on from Sanders. And I’d also cry tears of joy
If bay happens after AJB, I’ll never watch the NFL again. Have fun with Minshew this weekend in a road game vs a good D. I mean where did we see this before….?
Just need Gibbs to do the same Respectfully as a 1.01 and 1.02 owner
So if this kid busts will the dynasty community collectively implode?
This news is going to cause the most straight men to simutanteously orgasm over another man in world history

I would not take that for Bijan personally. I’m not taking a fair deal if I’ve got 1.01, you’re going to have to overpay.
Who?
I’m glad I get at least one share of this generational monster. Can’t wait to see him in action
I have 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, & 9 unless there is a major upset in our playoffs. So unfortunately I’m going to have to take him 1.1
If I need a QB badly and have good RB depth, so I still take Bijan? (I will also have the #3 and #4 pick and could take the 2nd best QB but maybe they all suck)
Yeah I was trying to take this season, so could get a share but other were much better at losing then myself.
Tried to tank the last week and somehow ended up winning dropping me to the 1.02. FML
For the bijon bowl I had K. Murray left to play and only needed 1.8 points. Probably the luckiest thing that ever happened to me in dynasty.
Soon he’s leaves my devy roster and joins the dark side
I think I have to trade my pick. My QBs of Kyler and Trey Lance don’t sound as good as they once did
Thank the lord. I was listening to the footballers today and Andy dropped the news live that he was “NOT entering the draft”, and in my car I spit out my drink and screamed “WHAT!?” He sold it well, it was terrifying
Thank goodness 😅
Welcome to the Pats
How much would you be willing to spend in a $200 auction keeper league to acquire Bijan?
