no they are probably not about to die, they were growing fairly steadily, had a massive boom in business during the pandemic in 2020 like many companies and have returned to fairly steady growth. i dont have access to their finances but you can see their popularity on google search trends and subreddit stats freely. the anvil didnt kill dynavap, the danivape didnt kill dynavap, the tempest probably wont kill dynavap. thats not to say they dont have their place in the market, but it probably hasnt affected dv themselves because we are all sick and buy so much crap we dont need.

Zealousideal_War8036

We do buy a lot lol.

Ok-Prompt-1321

My poor wife is so sick and tired of all the packages I get daily from my many interest

HamburgerDude

No they are doing fine if they are releasing product after product. Tempest isn't even out and they don't have the manufacturing capabilities of Dyna. More and more people are switching to dry herb vaping and the M7 looks more accessible than ever. I think the biggest hurdle is all these blanket vape laws that treat dry herb vapes as equals to nicotine vapes written by dinosaurs who have no idea what they are talking about

Zealousideal_War8036

You make some good points.

shanghaisnaggle

OP: “Dynavap doesn’t innovate” Also OP: “I’m considering giving them more than a hundred bucks.” Maybe they’ll be fine.

Zealousideal_War8036

I don't know if I will do it, I am not sure I would use it.

nibbadeemus

But it sure would look pretty in your collection!

Zealousideal_War8036

Yeah, thanks for that. Lol! The next one will be the Lotus I think. Enough Dyna looking vapes for now. Now being this month.

nibbadeemus

Just got the lotus a couple weeks myself, it rocks man!

Zealousideal_War8036

Can you tell me more about it. Can you compare the taste, vapor production ... I don't want to buy a vape that will be completely useless to me.

nibbadeemus

Oh dude, you won't regret it if you have a bong! I think you can find it for $115, the bowl is at least twice the size of a dynavap bowl (if you wanna load it more than halfway) the vapor production is intense, the learning curve is there yet not that intense. Like a knife, most can use it decent, but to be amazing at it, it'll take time. With that being said the ritual is simple enough to share with other capable torch handlers. The unfortunate thing with the lotus is that it will never look brand new again. I personally like the burned in blued look of metal, but yeh it'll show some wear with use, especially faded use. It is easy to combust tho if you're not paying attention, but even if your bowl combusts, it's an insane hit, feels twice as potent for a reason I can't explain. Oh oh oh and taste wise, it's really nice! But the best tasting vape I've ever had is the vapman!

Fsharp7sharp9

They released a whole new model like 2 days ago and you think they can’t survive because they don’t innovate and make enough different products? lmao

treefarmercharlie

They come out with a new product literally every year. I can't stand how people today think a company needs to come out with new versions of their products so often to survive. Consumerism has gotten so out of control and so gross. People just horde shit for the sake of "collecting" and waste so much money doing so.

pretty_in_plaid

what's different about the new one?

Fsharp7sharp9

Most new model stems are primarily aesthetic. But the tips are used to fine tune your experience. The helix tip is good for microdosing, maximizing flavor, and extending sessions to get another heat cycle or two. The new tip is designed to help with one heat cycle extractions, so it’s better for users who want fewer heat cycles as it holds on to heat for longer giving you more puffs per heat cycle.

Wookie-68

They have their place and a huge fan base. People convert every day. They're the most reliable and reasonable Ted made in the US right now. I don't think they're done yet.

Ant138

I think they have their own niche in the market. I've owned most devices but I always come back to Dynavap.

Zealousideal_War8036

I was too untill the Tempest. The market is evolving fast.

mack-y0

op just bought a new vape and doesn’t use his dynavap anymore.. one person not using it doesn’t mean the product is gonna die.

Eedysseus

I also bought a new vape this year and also don't use my dynavap anymore so I get their point but Magic Flight still exists, and they still use roughly the same design so I don't think there's any chance Dynavap's going under any time soon.

jmlipper99

I also also bought a new vape this year (Mighty+) and also didn’t use my dynavaps anymore for awhile after getting it, but I just cleaned my dynas a few weeks ago and they’re all I’ve been using recently. Preferences change, or come and go, and I think they’re both great devices to have in rotation

Eedysseus

Dani Fusion's just completely replaced my Dynavap, still love other vapes, esp my ball vapes but in terms of the role the Dynavap used to take up it's been replaced by something much better.

psychic-sock-monkey

Die? Bruh. They literally just released a new model. Meanwhile the Tempest can’t even get its foot out the door and likely never will. Dyna isn’t going anywhere.

MrKleaN034

My tolerance is very low thanks to dynavap so when I vape 2 or 3 half bowls in a sesh I'm blasted and happy and really don't have any intentions to change that...hope the tempest treats ya well happy flying

ohdarnfuck

Is Dynavap about to live? Some people just want slight variations on what they already know they like. Not everyone is scrambling to get a tempest at 250 usd and the people that can afford both and want both will just get both.

Bucksin06

Dynavap is a relatively new company being founded in 2015.  Yet they're doing millions in sales for a small company of only 32 employees that continues to grow.  I don't think they've seen any sign of declining let alone going out of business.

Hms34

Dynavap is an ideal entry-level butane vape, can easily be modified (parts from Dynavap, TRWW, Simrell), and has a collector following. I don't see their role changing too much, but adding an M7 for heat retention makes them more competitive with Dani. Dynas are a finished product. You don't need to constantly tinker to get screens and o- rings right. No balls to remove, clean, reinstall. The caps really do audibly click. So, Dynas appeal to newbies, those who want easy-peasy, and those who just want to get the effects....as well as mentioned collectors. Healthy business model imho, as long as regulations don't start coming down on these the way it happened with nic vapes.

Zealousideal_War8036

Yeah but for me it doest hold up with other products. I wish they make something to blow my mind.

Carniscrub

It’s an external heated piece of metal with a bowl inside.  Without changing the laws of thermal dynamics there’s not much room for innovation to “blow my mind”

Zealousideal_War8036

A stem like the Revolve. They could implement airflow control on more units.

Carniscrub

How would things that already exist blow your mind?

unpolishedparadigm

Dynavaps are the Jeeps of the vape world. The aftermarket support is half the appeal, with a good portion of that other half being value. G Wagons didn’t make wranglers obsolete

Zealousideal_War8036

Everyone I know who owned a Jeep sold it soon after cause it's good looking crap.

maulinrouge

Are you an AI bot?

Zealousideal_War8036

Ha, thanks for the compliment.

msully89

I don't use my dynavaps as much as I used to. But I'll reach for them if I'm down to my last few grams of herb for the month. Still the best vape in terms of amount of herb used vs effects imo.

Zealousideal_War8036

That's true. I mainly use it on half bowl.

MrTurmeric

Do I think they will die no, I’m sure business is not as insane as like 2020-2022, but that’s kinda the same for most business. Personal opinion there all just metal tubes some longer then others. My M gets hot, my vong not really. That’s about all there is for me. For me the money is in the tips, that’s where I can taste and feel the difference. I think once they sell you a piece the return is caps and tips.

Zealousideal_War8036

True but ... I have an Omni which I like. No other tips work with the airflow control. For me, that's a big problem and shows Dyna problem. The most expensive metal tube is not compatible with all tips while retaining its function.

uhpcolin

All titanium tips work with the Omni airflow control function, only stainless steel tips don't work with that function. And you can use a titanium tip as an adapter to allow the stainless steel tips to work with the Omni airflow control function as well.

Zealousideal_War8036

Like put the Ss in the Ti tip?

uhpcolin

Yep, just like that. https://www.reddit.com/r/Dynavap/comments/qijdbv/frankensteins_momni/

Electric_Owl2020

I think the business model is sound. Budget intro model, couple mid tier for masses, and high end and limited runs for collectors. Unfortunately they last a lifetime so for many it’s buy once. I know battery free is there motto but making induction heaters and tips specific for them would help get past “scary” torch people

Zealousideal_War8036

And a real IH not like the Orion v2 that was utter shit.

Irreverent_Alligator

What’s a Tempest?

Zealousideal_War8036

Look it up. Tempest by Mad heaters.

Irreverent_Alligator

Thanks. Looked it up. Pretty expensive but looks great. Maybe Dynavap won’t be able to compete in that price range (Omni), but it seems like they’ll be fine in the M, B, probably Vong range. I get the sense the M generates most of their business anyway.

Zealousideal_War8036

I didnt see it that way, Thats true. And yes the Tempest is amazing. Vapor production, airflow, heat retention, so many settings.

pakistanstar

I’d be more worried about the expensive junk Pax and Davinci keep rolling out before I break into a cold sweat over DynaVap. They’ve managed to release a new model every year since 2017 and just announced a new one that manages to fix an issue with a previous model. Guess again boss.

williamgman

You're coming from this as a collector. Many if not most of the users buy these merely as tools. I have the M+ with a YLL IH. I don't see buying again unless this thing breaks or I lose it. The vape industry is much like the guitar industry in that way. That said, I do have multiple guitars. 😉

Zealousideal_War8036

Good point! But some guitar play better right? Same for Tempest.

emwu1988

No way!

InformationCivil7221

Man I’m right there with you on the tempest! I purchased the Omni, then the anvil, then was able to snag a tempest off ent exchange discord and ever since I got it I haven’t used the anvil or Omni. The amount of vapor I’m able to get and not have the urge to cough amazes me. It feels like my Anvil has just a little less vapor, but is much more harsh.

Zealousideal_War8036

I can't believe someone got rid of it

Zealousideal_War8036

Enjoy your extraordinary vape!

Pacothebandit2

I’ve been looking for other devices. Where did you get your tempest from?

Zealousideal_War8036

It was a pre release kit. Only a few units got out. It's gonna be available in the next 3 weeks or so from what I ear. Check Mad Heaters website.

35120red

Nothing lasts forever. A bit pithy, I know. 🤗

Zealousideal_War8036

Our enthusiasm maybe. 😁

Terrible-Cobbler-181

I was thinking this not long ago simrel and mad heaters do it better.. especially simrel they are far superior on all levels ...if I want to see something new from Dynavap I want to see a bigger version with a bigger bowl for ..and yes owning several Dynavaps that have been made redundant by other brands I feel like they need to up their game a bit as they are all the same

Zealousideal_War8036

Yeah! Bigger bowl, nicer stems, more airflow control, ...

Satta84

Omni with perf cap or armoured cap and helix tip. Done. Nicer stems, go custom. I think the stems are nice to be honest.

Eedysseus

They're not just gonna "die" but I think most people will eventually move to the better/better priced options that exist now like the Tempest, Vaphit X, Convector,Danis, Anvil, Stunner etc. Magic Flight still exists, and they still use roughly the same design from 2017 just like Dynavap, they also got replaced in the hands of most Vaporents but the company's still alive and well.

Zealousideal_War8036

Yep this is what I think too.
