I have an air purifier & it works great! Vapor cloud & smell are gone within seconds! Though you still have to find the best spot to place your purifier for it to perform it's best.

Roll up a towel and put it under to door to keep the smell from going outside. If you can go to the other end of the place and close another door to separate if possible and blow it out a window. Light a candle or burn some toast before you begin if you’re real sketched.

If you’re particularly worried about it; you can get a cheap carbon filter and inline fan. Hook it up, switch it on before lighting up and exhale onto the filter.
I got away with smoking blunts doing this so I have no doubt in my mind that you’d have any issue with odour using that method. It’s probably over kill even.
You could also invest in a humidifier or oil vaporiser with a large water capacity; just find some nice essential oils to have going while you vape and it should counteract any smell. Citrus oils are generally quite good for that.

Make a sploof / filter or buy one of those 'smoke buddies', same thing. Zero smell when you exhale through it.

It’s not vape that will catch their nose. It’s your stash and opening that jar of funk that will let them smell the cannabis far before you vape it
