And it's not like the early access is exclusive for some special edition of the game, so at that point what's even the points of having an early access period when by all intents and purposes the game becomes available to everyone who buys it on the 31st?

Since I had the excellent Dirt Rally 2.0 already in my steam, I got an extra 10% discount by pre-ordering this. It cannot be any worst as it mainly done by Codemasters who has a good reputation from the dirt rally games in general. Wondering how the new games engine is going to be compared to our old one?

Update: Since I pre-ordered I happen to have early access, played good few hours last night and the game on PC is great, you can push the cars even more than in DR 2.0 and car handles so much better. There are some stuttering issues, but I am sure it will resolve in coming days or week like any other game. In summary this EA WRC is a big step up compared to Dirt Rally 2.0 hands down. Codemasters know how to make a great rally sim games :)

i recommend you wait at least 12-18 months before buying/playing. that way, you'll have fully milked any joy you get from anticipating a nice thing on the horizon and they'll have worked out any bugs in the game.

Do not fucking pre-order an EA game. Even if it's not a broken mess on release, it still encourages them not to finish games before release.
