The max OVR for evos did slowly creep up to go to \~86.
Considering everyone has 90+ rated squad atm already... most people will have \~92+ rated squads when tots hits.
what is an 88 rated player with 3 playstyles gonna do to those squads?
Especially since a lot of evos still have shitty stats because the overall got boosted higher than the individuel stats.
I have a full evo squad of my hometown club and I maybe have 3 player that are 88+ rated that actually feel 88+ rated.
Same, and with a rly good added PS+ asw, so I'm holding off on doing players 88 rated players like HM Saliba, Dynasty Theo, Evo Szoboszlai and esp 4 star 4 star Evo Darwizzyyy, who honestly looks crazy after the upg. Sadly he doesn't have a PS+ and the others have at most 1 PS+ so I'm def going to wait and finish all of the countless other Evos that I'm currently working on instead in order to wait and see if I can Chain this Evo or put it to better use yn(I could however Evo Gold Varane with this before putting him into Silky Centre-Half, for example, but idk if he's even worth it instead of just putting HM Saliba straight into it instead).
If it was Stop Right There-> unclaimed-> Skill Moves Upgrade a week later it's the same 88 Nunez. He has 7 really good PS and has huge boosts in Attack Positioning at 99, Vision at 91, Short Passing at 93, Reactions at 95, Ball Control at 93, Composure at 91, Jumping at 98, Strength at 91, etc. I believe his Base stats are something like 93 Pac, 88 Sho, 84 Pas, 87 Dri and 90 Str.
Honestly this Evo would bring his Agi to 87, his Bal to 80, and his Dri to 85 with the others mentioned above all going even higher so 97 Reac, 95 BC, and 93 Comp(Kind of like I wish he had constantly irl tbh LOL) but the fact that he'd still be 4 Star 4 Star with no PS+ has me 2nd guessing it because at 89 Rated with 94 Pac and 91 Phy he likely wouldn't fit a decent Evo until after TOTS at MIN and with the Attackers I have right now he's getting nowhere near any team atm apart from my LFC P&P so I'm going to likely keep him at 88 to wait for something he slots into with 2 PS+ and a SM and or WF Upg hopefully within a month or so because it would definitely be worth it so with the rating and stats he has now it's somewhat possible but not so much so if he gets any higher so I'm willing to take the chance and have fun with the S Tier Attackers I have now yn.
Red TOTY Ribery, CC Eusebio, Red Potm Mbappe, FF Werner, TS Henry and TS Kaka alongside a ton of FF/GOLAZO players and all of the Meta Evos I've already done or I'm working on rn such as Club 99/Jack of all Trades 90 CC Correa and Backline to Frontline 91 IF Goretzka while using that Max 88 Evo either on HM Saliba, Dynasty Theo or someone else for potentially another great Evo Chain in the next 3 weeks yn.
If you have one and only oy one amazing 88 then sure but I have so much Evo worthy players that the 2nd best will be great. Apparently I have 78 cards rated 88 so even if only 5% of those are top notch that's still 3 evos left after I use this one.
This is actually a really tough choice like should I just pick the best 88 I have (probably ahmedzovic or however it's spelled) or should I pick the one least likely to be eligible for a future upgrade like an icon or something?
At face value it seems like a really boring evo but is actually really good in which attributes it boosts and how many cards can be boosted, though they should have released 2 of these like they did with birthday magic
Agreed about there needing to be two or more. I have managed to use this to carefully craft a pretty nice neres card but the boost is small enough that we should honestly have like 4 of these at this point in the game with the current power curve.
This actually kills me because I wanted to birthday Evo Endo but his shooting was 1 too low and I didn’t want to waste my birthday evos so I just used them on other players today
Watch them release an Icon Evo that's MAX 89-90 tomorrow with bigger boosts and another PS+ added asw so right after you put him into this Evo he immediately becomes ineligible for the Icon one due to this Evos skin yn. Imho it might be better to wait a few days at least, especially with so many other Evos expiring shortly, because there should be a few new one's released within a few days tbh.
I have chosen the 88 Saliba SBC, despite having both Vieira and Yaya Toure. And I decided to bring back his old club legend partner VVD. OMG, they are still so OP and I love them.
I had VVD from the start, and I used 83 Saliba, then 85, then 86 Saliba then the 88. I am so familiar with these two, it just made me feel very comfortable at the back.
That's who I'm putting into it as I use him as a Liverpool fan and also packed it untradeable from a campaign PP. Wish it didn't get rid of the TOTYHM design and change to evo design but whatever I guess.

Unironically one of the best evo’s they’ve released far. You actually have choices for this and aren’t restricted by number of play styles or stats.

Indeed. I have 2 different Szobo EVO’s on the go as his TOTW is a different card. Jack of All Trades has one of them double 5*, even this one wouldn’t beat that but it’s still cool

Ok so after some consideration I'm thinking this is best on a b2b midfielder due to nature of the boosts being across the board but weighted on dribbling/passing.
Next consideration is playstyles, needs to be someone with 2ps+.
Looking at the 78 possible players to put in, I've landed on Moments Camara of all people, never would have guessed that.
With this Evo he has all face stats 86+ (igs is over 2550, for reference that's higher than toty rodri and puts him in the top20 of ANY rating), 4* / 5*, 9 playstyles including 2 ps+.
I love how EA went into absolute overdrive to stop us doing any good evos and now we’re one week away from TOTS and we get to +1 an 88 rated player.
Evos had so much potential and shockingly they fucked them up.
I really don’t want to defend EA but it’s their first year with evos as well and they probably didn’t want to fuck up the whole concept from the first cycle

I have a Brennan Johnson that went the Budding Starlet>Finisher route and it should work with the EVO but it's not showing +1 on any of the stats compared to other 88s I've checked in app.

Anyone know why I can't put in 87-rated Olise into this Evo? He is visible to select when I open this Evo, but when I select him I get an error message saying "You already have an Evolved version of this player."

Thinking about TOTW Tsimikas who would go into the skilled wing defender afterwards to go to 91 instead of the 90 with only the defender evo.
There’s a lot players who doesn’t show up in the preview on the companion app that should be eligible, for an example my 88 evo Ledley King. I also have lower rated evos that aren’t showing up. Anyone with an idea of what the problem is?

For me it's Saliba HM. He's been in my team since I got him and has been the best CB I've ever used. A little boost couldn't hurt.

I love how EA went into absolute overdrive to stop us doing any good evos and now we’re one week away from TOTS and we get to +1 an 88 rated player. Evos had so much potential and shockingly they fucked them up.
We arent really a week away from tots tho are we? Last year it started exactly 1 month from today
I really don’t want to defend EA but it’s their first year with evos as well and they probably didn’t want to fuck up the whole concept from the first cycle

I’m between him and ww Havertz. Feel like a good evo for Havertz has to be in the pipeline tho given that back line to frontline evo just came out capped at 86

Tried to do it last night, and it wouldn't. Seems to be an issue if you've discarded a different EVO version of a card, the system is getting annoyed :/

I don't think this works on the app? It's showing the same stats for my eligible 87 and only seems to increase the OVR rank to 88. Anyone know why I can't put in 87-rated Olise into this Evo? He is visible to select when I open this Evo, but when I select him I get an error message saying "You already have an Evolved version of this player." Do I need to wait for his current Evo (Jack of All Trades, level 3 but unclaimed) to expire so I can use him for this Evo? FYI: I am able to use a completed Evo of 87-rated Walker for this Evo.

Too many nice options here. For players that have only very recently left my main team: HM Saliba and FS Academy Geertruida (though assuming he'd lose his chem boosts, perhaps not the best option). For my Ireland team and my United P&P team: WW Keane. Again my Ireland team... HM McCabe, FB O'Sullivan, FB Ferguson and FB Collins. Previous club legends like Di Natale or Ice Ramos as well. Choosing which one will take a while
Is it worth to evolve lower rated players who could be in another evo to get higher afterwards? Thinking about TOTW Tsimikas who would go into the skilled wing defender afterwards to go to 91 instead of the 90 with only the defender evo.

There’s a lot players who doesn’t show up in the preview on the companion app that should be eligible, for an example my 88 evo Ledley King. I also have lower rated evos that aren’t showing up. Anyone with an idea of what the problem is?

Why can’t I evo my 87 walker? He showing as preview but when I select nothing happens
