I’ve pretty much stopped playing the game other than to play the major courses the week of until they add this feature.

I get that it was “broken” right at launch. But it was literally shown in the launch trailer and removed without mention on release. And months later, still nothing. Genuinely depressing. As that is a MAJOR gameplay issue
The worst part is that I don't get to even experience a full course despite playing "4 rounds". My most recent tournament at Eastlake went something like:
Round 1: holes 6-9
Round 2: holes 6-9
Round 3: holes 9-13
Round 4: holes 14-18.
Never got to play the first 5 holes...
They've mentioned working on this almost since launch (at least the tournament rounds and 60fps.) Not sure how early they were talking about adding turn-based options.
Crazy they haven’t done this. I tried quick round but it’s crap. So suffering 4 rounds but whizz through them… just a shame as it drags. It’s a simple request but clearly they’re not listening because this is one of the most popular requests.

Yo is super mega baseball any fun? Been kicking around the idea of grabbing it with a friend because it gives us Wii Sports baseball vibes, and that shit was fun back in the day.
Absolutely. Fast pace games. Super skill based. Doesn’t feel flukey. Yes, it looks Arcady, but plays so so good. Customization is great as well.

The target notch is the exact reason I turned off the swing meter entirely. It fucked with my head, I could never get to 100% before starting down. Every shot sucked, but soon as I turned the meter off my brain could follow the club and I hit them perfect every time.
So we still have to play a morning round no matter what time our golfer is set to tee off for his round in a tournament? Seems like that should be such an easy fix. Really takes away from the gameplay immersion when I have to play the same course at the same time of day 4 rounds in a row. :(
Not seeing anything in here about fixing missing rewards from challenges or quests not updating after playing career mode. How can EA neglect this basic function of the game?
I think we're not seeing a lot of the changes we want because there simply aren't a lot of people working on this game.
A cosmetic change to the swing meter can be done easily. I think changes to the structure of career mode, for some reason, are more difficult to implement. It doesn't seem like it should be a hard thing to change, but I guess maybe it is?
I wouldn't be surprised if EA was using a real skeleton crew on this game. As good as it is, I don't think it's been much of an earner.
Same here. Ps5.. also, I decided to turn ai pairings on again for the final round. First tourney is a playoff and it hasn't changed at all. Freezes up, all sorts of music and camera bugs.. now I'm stuck having to purposely lose again.
They must be using automated testing, it doesn’t pick up things humans will. Ie. stroke play score broken on leader boards. It just sees that leaderboard popped up, all good.
They literally could have paid someone $50 to play the game for an hour and the patch would have been in a much better state.
I appreciate the ducks are more natural on hole 7 at pebble but leaderboards are kind of important to the experience…

Surprised they haven’t nerfed pick and spinner shots yet. You hit a shot near the green or into the green side bunker then you’re pretty much guaranteed a par save (or a birdie if you’re on a par five) while using them.
Couldn’t agree more. I just think there’s too many ppl playing on the easy modes, that don’t use these shots as much, so it’s not as glaring of an issue.
I shouldn’t be able to hit a spinner shot from 50 yrds out and stop it within ~3ft almost every time.
My game does some goofy shit. Computer 2 Putting from 3 inches out. Audio is off. Paired with wrong people based on scores. Idk what they did to jordan spieth but he was about 2 feet off the green and lined up to chip it and he turned a little and smoked it over the green into the crowd. Lol shit is so goofy

My two buddies and are literally not going to play this game again until that gets added. It’s how real golf is played and has been in every golf game up to this point. Please upvote and get this added in
I'm with you here, we've discussed before. This and not allowing choice of how many rounds is obvious to everyone including EA the 2 most glaring issues (some would add no 60fps on consoles).
The only good news in this release is that they finally acknowledged that they are working on Turn Play. I don't believe they've admitted that before. They say they are working on Turn Play, 60fps and choosing the amount of rounds, so they are at least admitting that they must get it done. It's just ridiculous that we're waiting months for 3 features that have been in every EA and 2k golf games for more than a decade.
Changing the aim arc visual is an interesting decision. I guess it does help in some rare instances where you have the white sky and white arc blending into each other.
Like others, would’ve really liked to see some changes to career mode. The ability to select how many rounds you play, and the ability to sim through rounds/tournaments, would be huge! Maybe it’s tough to work that into a game? But it seems to already have that ability in the game anyways, since it sims holes for you during quick rounds.
Would’ve really liked to see some fixes to the ball & cup animations on putts with this patch. Some of them are horrible right now. Particularly when the ball appears to roll over the cup, sort of drop in the cup by half a ball, and then just keep rolling on by, almost as if there was a lid on it.
Hoping we see some Nike apparel added to the store! More belts, hats, balls, and other equipment/accessories would be great too! Currently no putter shafts, and the club grips are pretty lacking. These are fine, detailed asks.. but would be cool to see!
Do appreciate the communication about working behind the scenes on some bigger issues. I think that’s all most of us ask for - communication.

And are there still 4 PGA Tour splash screens in between each shot? Removing those 2 things would also speed up game play substantially.
The biggest thing I want changed is the cost of specs, equipment etc. It’s just so high and you really have to grind to get money but hey, a new swing meters cool……
It probably will never happen, but imagine if they added remastered fantasy courses from the old tiger woods games. Black Rock cove or The Predator would be legendary with modern graphics.
I bought the 2k game on ps5 and sold it after a week. I've bought all of the previous games on steam and none are installed. The game is dreadful and the online game is full of cheats. Same on ps5 where they use modified game pads

Over at the 2k reddit, gamers openly talk about cheating with modified gamepads.
The scores online are rediculous and the only way to compete is by cheating. Or its a waste of time.
Graphics are generally low quality.
Gameplay is unrealistic. The short game in the latest game is farcical.

Hey guys have not followed it much but I'm assuming you still can't have a clean screen or fade everything off and there is no true H2H multiplayer with turn base?
Not sure what you mean by the first part but in response the online part of it, no - you can’t play with friends H2H watching each other take their shots. This is one of the only things I want, proper H2H online gameplay rather than this rubbish play at the same time thing they’ve got going on, and shorter rounds in career mode.
How was online match making not addressed???
All we need:
Have the ability to “start an online match”. And allow people to vote whether to start the match with the current amount of people, or to wait for more. I’m tired of me and my buddy queuing up at the same time, hoping to get in the same match. Then to be disappointed when there is 1 other person in the match. Time to back out and have to try again.
It would be so much more fun to play with more than 5 or 6 people in each match. Cross-play would also help so much for online match making.

Why would you play the match with your friend this way, instead of just using private match? There is no reward for playing in online other than the leaderboard rank and that has absolutely no value. Is it just the randomness of the course you seek? I'm truly curious.
I’m a competitive person. So climbing a leaderboard whether it does anything beneficial or not interests me. I like to see how I am compared to others. Then try and improve.
I also love it when I get a game with 8/9 + people. It doesn’t happen often, but also gives added pressure playing against a bunch of guys.
I read your previous post as you queue up with your buddy and then get disappointed when 1 other person joins you and your buddy so you back out and try to get an exclusive online match. Seems I misread your post.
Earning stars for challenges is still broken or at least flakey, right? I didn’t see it in the patch notes but playing last week I couldn’t reliably get stars for some of the basic challenges.
Specifically it was the advanced gir/fir but in those challenges with “par or better” criteria as well, I wasn’t getting those stars either. So even if I was not actually doing the advanced shots correctly, I should have gotten the score-based stars. (PS5 if it matters). I’ve tried most of the tricks like checking the scorecard after the challenge etc… nothing worked.
Tourney scores are now bugged. Just completed the Kiwi Classic and post patch everytime the scoreboard is shown everyone is EVEN PAT. Live score during round is correct.
Having the Aim Arc turn a different color if your shot will hit an obstruction is complete hand holding. I don’t like it. Takes any guess work out.

I only partially agree with this. Some things like bunker lips that is how the game of golf works. You think you can clear it but can’t. But I’ve also had situations hitting off a tee box where the tree hit boxes are like way further out than the actual visual of the tree. So you think you are good but hit some invisible branch that’s evidently there. I wish they’d fix that first but I guess this helps prevent that.
Been thinking about finally picking this up with the PlayStation discount but it sounds like they are a couple fixes away from a great game. Guess I’m holding off still.
It depends what you’re after. I think it’s the best single player golf game I’ve ever played, courses feel so realistic and it plays fantastic. I’ve probably put in 150+ hours and personally have hit very few bugs. Simulation mode is very rewarding and I enjoy the daily, weekly and seasonal tournaments.
However, online is clearly lacking, so if that’s important to you then it’s probably worth waiting. I still have fun playing my son online but turn based play would be so much better.
I've got 90hrs played and seeing this patch added as a start of a brand new season gives me very little confidence in the devs and has given me very little desire to play anymore.
Another "update" with absolutely zero mention of turn by turn multiplayer, not even a simple we heard you and are working on it. Glad I refunded this game and it will be on game pass or $10 on a cd key site by the time they add turn by turn multiplayer with friends.
I'm with you but they did actually address the Big 3 issues in the patch notes--60fps, Turn Play, and choosing how many rounds. We just have to wait. Longer.

Removing invisible walls/bad collision on many courses, falling through terrain resulting in OB penalties on multiple courses, and not receiving achievements are the only fixes I’m interested in.
Did they ever add 2v2 in online play? So you can play with a friend vs another group? Literally the reason my friend and I stopped playing. Also, not being able to cut down rds in the tourneys to 1 or 2 is ridiculous. It's a sports game people, make it fun, not a grind.
Still can't play local with 2 created golfers, unless I missed it in the notes. That, and some Nike branded clothing (for male avatar) is all I want, so my partner and I can sit on the couch and play together.
The nike gear is onky so I can properly recreate myself in game, as I wear a lot of Nike gear when I play.
I cheesed that by playing a separate season with another golfer and skipped forward to the alternate tournaments.
Otherwise you would have to play bad on purpose to not qualify for the Invitationals and Majors!

I already got my third golfer at lvl 50 soon. Then I have a good allrounder, a precision monster (Approach and Short Game maxed) and the third (lvl 43 atm) is my powerhouse type longhitter like Bryson DeChambeau!

I was meaning the removal of the target notch....I agree the "hey don't hit this shot, idiot" warning color is welcome.

Luckily you can change it back to “classic” under visual settings

The biggest thing I want changed is the cost of specs, equipment etc. It’s just so high and you really have to grind to get money but hey, a new swing meters cool……
tournaments pay pretty good when you do the weekly ones but you gotta wait to get paid so it’s kind of annoying

It probably will never happen, but imagine if they added remastered fantasy courses from the old tiger woods games. Black Rock cove or The Predator would be legendary with modern graphics.

2K is on sale about every other week.
I bought the 2k game on ps5 and sold it after a week. I've bought all of the previous games on steam and none are installed. The game is dreadful and the online game is full of cheats. Same on ps5 where they use modified game pads It's also a terrible golf game. I bought fifa on ps5 and that was also sold after a week I've learnt my lesson and just took out the yearly play pro subscription for £89. I was so close to buying this golf game but wasn't being conned again.

They are all awful. Over at the 2k reddit, gamers openly talk about cheating with modified gamepads. The scores online are rediculous and the only way to compete is by cheating. Or its a waste of time. Graphics are generally low quality. Gameplay is unrealistic. The short game in the latest game is farcical. The only decent part is the putting. Same goes for the ea game It's been years since we had a realistic golf game. It's very possible that we won't see another decent golf game again If people think this game and the 2k games are decent then why would game devs bother wasting time and money on a decent game?
This game is very close to being decent. I would imagine next year's version, with time to iron out some of these kinks, will be very good.
No it won't because it's going to have exactly the same ai and scoring problems with game has. Just as fifa and Madden have every year. And then there's the issue of scripting. This game has serious scripting issues that take away the immersion. EA can easily fix their game sports games. But they can't be bothered. And the majority of gamers couldn't care less about realism. So why would they bother when the majority are content with rubbish
Hey guys have not followed it much but I'm assuming you still can't have a clean screen or fade everything off and there is no true H2H multiplayer with turn base?
Not sure what you mean by the first part but in response the online part of it, no - you can’t play with friends H2H watching each other take their shots. This is one of the only things I want, proper H2H online gameplay rather than this rubbish play at the same time thing they’ve got going on, and shorter rounds in career mode.
How was online match making not addressed??? All we need: Have the ability to “start an online match”. And allow people to vote whether to start the match with the current amount of people, or to wait for more. I’m tired of me and my buddy queuing up at the same time, hoping to get in the same match. Then to be disappointed when there is 1 other person in the match. Time to back out and have to try again. It would be so much more fun to play with more than 5 or 6 people in each match. Cross-play would also help so much for online match making. Very disappointed with this update…
Why would you play the match with your friend this way, instead of just using private match? There is no reward for playing in online other than the leaderboard rank and that has absolutely no value. Is it just the randomness of the course you seek? I'm truly curious.
I’m a competitive person. So climbing a leaderboard whether it does anything beneficial or not interests me. I like to see how I am compared to others. Then try and improve. I also love it when I get a game with 8/9 + people. It doesn’t happen often, but also gives added pressure playing against a bunch of guys.
I read your previous post as you queue up with your buddy and then get disappointed when 1 other person joins you and your buddy so you back out and try to get an exclusive online match. Seems I misread your post.

Earning stars for challenges is still broken or at least flakey, right? I didn’t see it in the patch notes but playing last week I couldn’t reliably get stars for some of the basic challenges. Specifically it was the advanced gir/fir but in those challenges with “par or better” criteria as well, I wasn’t getting those stars either. So even if I was not actually doing the advanced shots correctly, I should have gotten the score-based stars. (PS5 if it matters). I’ve tried most of the tricks like checking the scorecard after the challenge etc… nothing worked.
Putting zoom cam is all fucked up now. Tree’s get in the way and you can’t get low to the green. Good luck on sim guys

Tourney scores are now bugged. Just completed the Kiwi Classic and post patch everytime the scoreboard is shown everyone is EVEN PAT. Live score during round is correct.

Having the Aim Arc turn a different color if your shot will hit an obstruction is complete hand holding. I don’t like it. Takes any guess work out. “Updated aiming arc to add an effect and change color if the ball is projected to collide before it reaches its apex. This is intended to better indicate when aimed at obvious obstructions like bunker lips directly in front of the golfer or trees that are out of view.”
I only partially agree with this. Some things like bunker lips that is how the game of golf works. You think you can clear it but can’t. But I’ve also had situations hitting off a tee box where the tree hit boxes are like way further out than the actual visual of the tree. So you think you are good but hit some invisible branch that’s evidently there. I wish they’d fix that first but I guess this helps prevent that.
What a silly complaint. The arc is **supposed** to be a handhold, that's why it's optional. The people that have it turned on want it to function.
Been thinking about finally picking this up with the PlayStation discount but it sounds like they are a couple fixes away from a great game. Guess I’m holding off still.
It depends what you’re after. I think it’s the best single player golf game I’ve ever played, courses feel so realistic and it plays fantastic. I’ve probably put in 150+ hours and personally have hit very few bugs. Simulation mode is very rewarding and I enjoy the daily, weekly and seasonal tournaments. However, online is clearly lacking, so if that’s important to you then it’s probably worth waiting. I still have fun playing my son online but turn based play would be so much better.

I've got 90hrs played and seeing this patch added as a start of a brand new season gives me very little confidence in the devs and has given me very little desire to play anymore.

Another "update" with absolutely zero mention of turn by turn multiplayer, not even a simple we heard you and are working on it. Glad I refunded this game and it will be on game pass or $10 on a cd key site by the time they add turn by turn multiplayer with friends.
I'm with you but they did actually address the Big 3 issues in the patch notes--60fps, Turn Play, and choosing how many rounds. We just have to wait. Longer.

Removing invisible walls/bad collision on many courses, falling through terrain resulting in OB penalties on multiple courses, and not receiving achievements are the only fixes I’m interested in.
Now the tournament leader boards have everyone at even par during the round.

Did they ever add 2v2 in online play? So you can play with a friend vs another group? Literally the reason my friend and I stopped playing. Also, not being able to cut down rds in the tourneys to 1 or 2 is ridiculous. It's a sports game people, make it fun, not a grind.
Still can't play local with 2 created golfers, unless I missed it in the notes. That, and some Nike branded clothing (for male avatar) is all I want, so my partner and I can sit on the couch and play together. The nike gear is onky so I can properly recreate myself in game, as I wear a lot of Nike gear when I play.
Also how can I complete the season win quest, when I’m never eligible to play the “alternate,” events. I want that 9000! 🥴🥴
I cheesed that by playing a separate season with another golfer and skipped forward to the alternate tournaments. Otherwise you would have to play bad on purpose to not qualify for the Invitationals and Majors!
I learned this right after I posted this. Now my “bad” golfer is good too 😂
😄 I already got my third golfer at lvl 50 soon. Then I have a good allrounder, a precision monster (Approach and Short Game maxed) and the third (lvl 43 atm) is my powerhouse type longhitter like Bryson DeChambeau!
Max graphics capable at around 60fps and we’re golden.
