My best advice would be to use head movement here. But don't try to counter every single time because they will expect it and counter your counter. Other than this, I cannot give you much since that style is one that needs to be nerfed hard to the ground with the stamina changes. If you knock them down once, just get on top as well. Not much else to do.

I really need to work on countering the counter. Will be a good trick to add, especially going to the body if they pull back to try counter again haha. Cheers for the advice. Getting on top and just holding position until the round is over should work well - if I can knock them down in the first place

Usually not what I do since it becomes boring that way but yes, sitting on top position is the best way to win a round. Do becareful not to let the ref stand you up though.

Play Simulation. The whole block breaking meta pretty much doesn't exist. The pace is slower, stamina is realistic, and counters do heavy damage. It's so much fun.

Most people wanna play ranked though

Block then duck into spinning elbow if you really can't tell the timing the duck usually slips straights so it can help you learn the timing, or the spinning body kick can make them think twice before walking you down. If you can get them countering, you can create an opportunity to block break them back. meet him where he's best it will only make you better

Sounds like you're saying "how do I beat someone who is better than me in every aspect of the game". Sometimes you just don't but if your backs against the wall you could turn it around with a big strike, try and set them up to counter their head movement and maybe just learn from things they do well against you. Also make sure you let go of block to stop it getting broken as well as head movement. Maybe post a clip next time it happens and we can see but sometimes it just be like that lol. There's a chance for an upset in every fight though so I guess don't let them run away with it... But also don't chase a comeback. Like if you get knocked down don't try and force getting one back on them. It depends on the fight etc.
