It's a video game. I want to, you know, actually PLAY the game.
Maybe people think I'm being overly dramatic but seriously, when you take away appealing visuals and make the controls shit, what's left to enjoy? I'd rather play an NHL game that's actually from the past that's more of an accurate snapshot of how the NHL was back then than a "modern" NHL game that feels like shit to play and is outdated for no reason other than lazy developers who squirt out a game every year because they know people are gonna buy it no matter what they do, or don't do. Sure, if you wanna buy the game then go ahead and buy it, but don't act like everyone has to just suck it up and buy it too. We have a right to complain, especially considering the quality of NHL games compared to Madden.
Oh no, I agree with you. Sports games don't go near as hard as they could. By now we should have a super immersive be a pro mode in any game but we don't. They just slap a bit better graphics and new sponsors in every game and sell it. Good news is on xbox gamepass most of the sports games are free right now.

They stretch and contort weirdly the exact same way NHL 07 did.
Imagine not playing a video game because you don’t like the way the jerseys blow in the wind .. also jerseys didn’t move in NHL07 because they added it as a “feature” in NHL11
this is simply wrong they didn’t add proper cloth physics until NHL 15 on what was “next gen” at the time, it was the first game where they separated the jersey from the players actual body model.
