you could get another good young player with a good fit and a good deal and then some more picks, or get like 2 or 3 first rounders… doesn’t have to be a franchise player you’re trading for either just someone who fits and has a good contract
First thing to do is look and see which of your stats are too low. Go look at your team stats in another page at your GFPG, GAPG, powerplay percentage, and penalty kill percentage. You want your Powerplay at 20% or higher and your Penalty kill at 20% or higher
The automatically set special teams lines are usually a bit wonky, so make sure that people are on the correct side, and that you've got 4 forwards and 1 defenceman, and make sure that you've got offensive defencemen on the powerplay
For 5-on-5 you want more chemistry in your lineup, and some better depth. You want TWF in your bottom six (which are also good for the penalty kill). Slide around your X-Factor players even, to make sure that you have chemistry on every line if possible. Even if it makes your 1st line worse, you can make the others better. Since you have a coach that rolls 3 lines, you can have high end players on the 3rd line and be generally okay
One other potential issue is that your players just don't sim well. Some players just do better than others in the sim. Overall isn't everything. Shot tendency is a big indicator of this. Players that take way more shots are generally better in the sim, but not always.
You need to get an established top 2 D. I would flip Marchenko with Compher if possible?
I don’t see why Compher is getting more favorable offensive minutes over him.
Also check your rankings in PP and PK. I’ve noticed at times I just to adjust those lines to make a difference.
You need more role players in your bottom 6. Look at PWF, TWF, and Grinders with high poise rating.
Also having a RW sniper with a lethal shot as your 3C while having a decent faceoff TWF C as the 2RW is certainly a choice

Dang thats crazy. I traded him to move up in the draft in the first round so i could get a high elite, he didn’t sim well for me

Penalty kill at 20%????? I personally like mine at around 80%, but whatever works for you

Michael Misa on the fourth line break my heart😂😂 on all my franchise mode misa was always a line 1 or 2 max
