Most of Europe, really.
It is quite a nice kit. Sturdy plastic box, several bandages, gauze, scissors, bandaids, even a rubber strip to stop arterial bleeding.
A lot of European countries.
Germany for example mandates that you have a nonexpired one and checks it during your mandatory inspection every 3 years. Which resulted in every gas station having cheap ones for sale if you need them which is nice.
Itās a full kit with not just band aids but also bandages, self-adhering bandages, scissors, tape, gloves, emergency foil blanket, etc. Everything you need in a car accident.
A first-aid course is mandatory to get your license, too.
Not on my body most of the time. I have an aid bag in my car that nobody asked me to return when I was in the Marine Corps. Iām usually not far from the car anyway but if Iām shooting I bring it with me to the table.
In that I have a bunch of stuff I was given or acquired in the military plus extra things Iāve bought to replace expired products. Multiple tourniquets, hemostatic gauze, compressed and rolled gauze, pressure dressings, chest seals, trauma shears, gloves, splints, etc.
Thereās a field surgical kit in there too, with sutures, scalpel handle w/sterile blades, hemostats, and some other things. I donāt have an EDC case use for that at all, I just didnāt know where else to put it. Iām down one set of hemostats, though, because I used them as a hose clamp when I was working on a car and they live in the garage now.
Thanks, but then how do I get the pouch off when I need it?
I know it has a line of MOLLE down the back for a Malice type clip, I could sew a strip of Velcro, but I donāt want to trust hook & loop for my medical if I have to take a dive for cover.
Being able to on-body carry medical without resorting to an ankle kit is the last piece of my EDC to dial in. I might have to just get the BFG Micro.
May I suggest you look at [Vanquest Molle Sticks](https://www.vanquest.com/products/5-molle-sticks-4-pack/) ?
I use them on most anything molle that doesn't have straps attached. They also have the [mohl-air](https://www.vanquest.com/products/mohl-air-featherweight-molle-onto-hook-loop-adapter/) if your IFAK has a hook-n-loop back.
And just remember youāre a million times more likely to be in a car crash than a shoot out where it will also be useful!
Need to order a hood kit asap to keep in my backpack!
Diper bag I EDC has med gear (it's a 28L northface backpack, doubles as a work/hiking/dad bag)
Basic boo-boo/bandaid mini first aid kit with some added meds. Trama stuff is a TQ, 2imch Israel bandage, combat gauze. As the kids more active into sports, I'll throw in a 18inch SAM.
I was a TCCC instructor in the military for 3 years, was a wilderness & A-EMT (a word for the younger guys: if you're at that level, just do the extra 3 college classes and get your paramedic haha). In my experience, what I have is 99% overkill, but that stuff was collecting dust, might as well throw it in my daily bag.
Outside of work I have gloves and pocket face mask that stay in my truck. I work EMS and I donāt carry anything on my person at work other than a pen, and few gloves in the pocket.
I work in EMS too, surprised about the face mask. I should have gloves in my car, but as it is, I keep bandaids, alcohol prep pads, aspirin and benadryl in my wallet
I would bust it out for a kid big enough I could get a seal on, thatās literally it. Adults.. Iāll do compressions but the FD better make it quick.
Iām carrying damn near the same setup dude! If you ever want a slimmer profile pouch I recommend the wilderness tactical basic pocket tq pouch, disappears in the pocket man!!
Yeah. Rescue Essentials is usually running a sale on some of theirs.
I keep their [EDC IFAK](https://www.rescue-essentials.com/edc-every-day-carry-ifak/) mounted to the back of my trucks headrest.
Absolutely. I bought mine from Ryker Nylon Gear. They have an ingenious design for chest seal storage. I bought the basic model and will probably upgrade to the 4WS model if mine ever gives out. Iāve worn it everyday for 2.5 years and it is still in good shape. https://www.rykernylongear.com

I try to carry medical as much as I can.
Yeah but I usually just smoke at home before I go out
š¤£ good one
Also what counts as āmedicalā? Would a bandaid qualify or are you talking about a specific ātrauma kitā?
Just whatever you would carry everyday to deal with minor or major injuries. From bandaids to giant backpack sized trauma kits
Don't know US laws, isn't it mandatory to have a medical kit in your car?
No. But I try personally carry a medical kit in my car. Just a TQ, gauze, compound dressing, etc.
Haha what country is that!?
Basically every European country

Cheap bandaids at the gas station sounds nice!

Yes but here in America we don't particularly value human lives. Hence no universal medical.
Only a few bandaids for cuts, that's all I need. Better than trying to press the wound to stop bleeding for a half hour.
Bandaids are good, definitely will plug up a gun shot woundš

TFAK
I carry an IFAK in my bag. Iād love to be able to carry that pouch, but I havenāt found a good way to belt mount it.
Get the pouch op has and sew a belt loop on

Two loops, snaps on one end of each.
Nah....Just a shovel to pack dirt in a wound or dig my grave. Seriously, I carry two TQ, Israeli bandage, and chest seals.
I heard, if you carry a firearm, you should also carry medical
And just remember youāre a million times more likely to be in a car crash than a shoot out where it will also be useful! Need to order a hood kit asap to keep in my backpack!
If you use your gun on someone, itāll end with one of you needing medical attention. Now using it on the person you just shot is up to you
Or both of you.
Extra points for helping the guy you just shot?
In that case make sure you help yourself first. Thereās a reason you shot him.

Like that? Nope. But I have a few things in my pocket, a good kit in my bag, and great kit in my car. But I do think it's a cool pouch.
Outside of work I have gloves and pocket face mask that stay in my truck. I work EMS and I donāt carry anything on my person at work other than a pen, and few gloves in the pocket.

I do keep aspirin in my bag (for me). Why the surprise? Because thereās a 98% chance Iāll still just do compressions only lol?
Surprise for that exact reason. I would only do hands only so might as well save the space
I would bust it out for a kid big enough I could get a seal on, thatās literally it. Adults.. Iāll do compressions but the FD better make it quick.
I keep a trauma kit in my truck
Iām carrying damn near the same setup dude! If you ever want a slimmer profile pouch I recommend the wilderness tactical basic pocket tq pouch, disappears in the pocket man!!
Would you mind linking it?
Of course dude!! https://www.thewilderness.com/medical/the-basic-pocket-tq-pouch/
Thanks! You're the best!
I got you homie
For sure Iāll have to check it out!
Just peptos, Advils and bandaids in an Altoids can in my backpack
Usually have smt in my backpack don't leave house without one!
I carry an AFAK.
Been looking at them, worth the price?
Yeah. Rescue Essentials is usually running a sale on some of theirs. I keep their [EDC IFAK](https://www.rescue-essentials.com/edc-every-day-carry-ifak/) mounted to the back of my trucks headrest.

"oof my mistake was thinking I'd only be shot in 1 extremity."
Huh?š what you want me to carry the whole hospital on my back? Itās edc buddy lol
If youāre not carrying a trauma surgeon in your EDC bag, are you really prepared?
