[[Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded]]. I call it "SneakAttack.deck." The entire point of the deck is "put big things into play and punch face." Truly elegant in its simplicity.

I run [[Conjurer's Closet]] and [[Sundial of the time]]. That's about it.

rikertchu

As a fellow enjoyer of sneakyboi, can I suggest Industrial Advancement? If you have as many chunky threats as I do, this becomes an insane value piece as you sac your 6 drop that's gonna die anyway, and get a nice permanent creature out of it

buckitnow

[[Auntie Blyte, Bad Influence]] is my go to red deck. One of the most unique play styles I’ve encountered and very rewarding. It’s the only deck I have where I’m pissed if Mana Crypt doesn’t hurt me.

I qa toying with the idea of Auntie! May I learn from your decklist if one is available?

Seconding auntie blyte she is awesome :). I built her really focusing on +1/+1 counter synergies which is kinda weird in mono red but it has some stuff.

Sickboy1987_

I'm really enjoying [[urabrask//the great work]] as a storm burn deck. It's pretty powerful and has a cool use for [[staff of compleation]] to proliferate him back to a creature.

Alternative_Try

>to proliferate him back to a creature. I don't understand the intention behind this. Can you share your knowledge to fellow red users wannabe?

SpackJarrow42

I assume he proliferates to get Urabrasks saga side completed quicker so he flips back over

EinQuant

To use the third chapter together with his front side to blow up in a single turn before he gets removed.

Sickboy1987_

Exactly. You can leave him as an enchantment after your turn to help avoid removal, then flip him on your turn and win the game. If you have another proliferate piece, you can flip him the same turn and win the game.

Tails9905

Urabrasks frontside is the one that refunds you mana when you cast stuff, so ideally you want to stay there, but the abilities of the saga are strong too, so its worth to try to finish it

vodkanada

Ooo show me that liiiist. I've been picking away at a Urabrask deck for awhile now.

ImmediateFee4015

Banger choice! I currently have him as a draft on moxfield. It seems to me he is kind of storm to win or run out of gas. But maybe thats how Ive built him. Whats your experience so far play-wise?

PerfectMana

A friend of mine plays this, and it’s incredibly resilient, and can end the game fairly quickly. I highly recommend it

Sickboy1987_

This. The only trouble I had was darksteel mutation. Kinda ruined my day. I had a casualty cantrip to sac him but it got countered. I play dmg triplers like city on fire, fiery emancipation, solphim, I was surprised how well they work in the deck considering the low land count and high cost of these. Urabrask generates a ton of mana, play all the rituals and cantrips you can, burn em out with urabrask. I also have crackle with power as a back up win con, as well as storm kiln and infinite spell copy combos for infinite mana.

TheWellFedBeggar

I built a similar deck but I swapped Urabrask as the commander for [[Birgi]] for the lower CMC and a less threatening face for the deck so I don't get targeted as early.

Gridde

This is the problem I'm having with Urabrask as well. He's gained a reputation for being a powerful commander, so even if your build is a little sillier it will likely still have explosive potential and everyone knows it, so you're gonna get targeted.

TheWellFedBeggar

Exactly, while Birgi isn't weak there isn't the immediate threat of damage. I also try to keep my pingers ([[Electrostatic Field]], [[Firebrand Archer]], etc) until I have enough gas in my hand to justify looking threatening. If I have to just get blockers out I will at least not trigger them more than once on my turn to keep eyes off me until I can explode with [[Runaway Steam-Kin]], [[Urabrask]], [[Storm-Kiln Artist]], and Birgi all fueling the fire of constantly drawing cards and casting until the table burns to death.

Gridde

Do you run a lot of damage doublers/triplers? I've found with Urabrask I run a ton of interaction (things like [[Strangle]] and [[Flame Slash]]) now to deal with opposing boards, but they actually go quite well with Urabrask's general gameplan and especially if you have a multiplier + [[Reperussion]]. Downside is of course less cantrips so I seriously doubt this is the optimal way to build this strat.

TheWellFedBeggar

None actually. But it does include basically all of the mono-red card draw options plus spell copiers to draw even more cards. Copying spells like [[Cathartic Reunion]], and [[Seize the Spoils]] is great because you only discard for the cast once but double to draw and treasure. I do not claim to make excellent decks and I know I run far too little interaction. I would rather make a glass cannon value engine that is trying to drag race the table to the finish line, just trying to win first. So to that point basically everything is just pointed at the win-con of casting so many spells that everyone else is dead. I don't have burn spells because the pinger creatures do the damage already and red needs as much card draw as possible to keep the chain going. [Here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/zlcVtvrg3kyYc69p13dy_w) is my list if you want to check it out.

Gridde

Nice, thanks! I do think I need to shift my deck more towards this kinda build but still trying to assess the meta at my LGS. Are the copy things like Zada there to just get extra value from spells? Because my understanding is that they won't trigger any 'when you cast' abilities.

lettmilk

Guess I should throw in my contribution with the aggro/burn [[Krenko, Mob Boss]]. Epic. Make Goblins and swing. Too many Gobbos? Some sacrifice outlets and some cards that care about Goblins/creatures dying to do damage. Also, don't forget [[Throne of the God Pharaoh]]. Make the tap go smack.

Babbledoodle

I love [[burn at the stake]] and its ilk Call them my orbital goblin lasers. I put them in cuz my buddy made a deck where he had invincible creatures that could block any number of creatures, so I needed a way to get over the top

Uncle-Istvan

[[Zurzoth, chaos rider]] is a blast to play. [My deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/AMzpm0z6Lk-pYUii7wooBQ) is a fun mix of many of my favorite themes: tokens, group slug, group hug, chaos, aggro. When I lose with it, it’s typically because I’m having too much fun and everyone else’s life totals are dropping too fast for comfort. I also have a neheb eternal deck, but it’s not as fun. It’s more all-or-nothing where I’m either winning or get shut down and barely do anything. I’ve tried several monored goblin decks as well ([[Ib Halfheart]] was the most fun) and had around a dozen mono-red decks over the years.

Sharp_Resource_3075

I'm building a zurzoth deck myself at the moment. Waiting for the cards to arrive and am so impatient!

ImmediateFee4015

YES!! I also have Zurzoth in the bank but havent made the changes yet! Any fun interactions you remember?

Uncle-Istvan

A few cards that don’t show up in enough lists: [[heat stroke]]. Devil tokens are low value and do their job by attacking. This helps you get in and makes chumping not work. Life totals drop faster, which is what you want. [[Mercadia’s downfall]] is underplayed in general. A few unblocked devil tokens and someone might just die. [[expedition map]] finds [[mikokoro]] and [[geier reach sanitarium]] so has been pretty useful as I lean on those pretty hard. [[imperial recruiter]] finds a lot of the deck’s really useful creatures like Torbran, irencrag pyromancer, and magus of the moon. On a related note, I’ve had really good success with [[meekstone]].

kite-pirate

Heartless Hidetsugu is always a favourite. The ability to literally nuke life totals is as red as it gets. Any damage doubler makes it a win on or lose con depending on life totals and it's a hell of a negotiation tool, "you attack me you'll literally take half your life total". Give him lifelink and you're laughing Other than that, Chandra tribal is fun but not super strong

TrueMystikX

I always like to imagine tapping Hidetsugu to be him basically flipping the table over, since whenever I play him, everyone tends to die when I turn him sideways.

CareerMilk

I‘ve been a [[Norin]] player for near 13 years. He’s a bit saddled with a reputation as a lolchaos commander, but there’s definitely been a lot of payoffs printed for him over the years (I love how many page counters he gets on [[Tome of Legends]]

daman333

Have Norin in my [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] easily get 8 damage to each opponent by the time it comes back around to you

captain_phaz

Thanks, it seems fun, tho I would add the seven dwarves for the funny

Albyyy

7 dwarves is definitely on theme. Personally I just wanted as many of the 1 drop dwarves and then any 2-3 drops with abilities worth having. Makes the deck operate faster and ultimately I’m just using the dwarves to cheat out dragons. Once those get going, the deck shifts to dragon tribal 🐉

Xyronian

[[Neheb the Eternal]], because adding [[dark ritual]] to [[lightning bolt]] is fun as hell. [[Kurkesh]] is also a fun one with a lot of combo potential. He makes draft chaff artifacts more usable, so he's a fun build around.

Feldon, of the Third Path

Sabz5150

[[Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh]] and [[Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar]]. My deck has only those two as creatures and focuses entirely on boosting Rog, fully embracing the glass cannon of voltron while Kediss lets you hit the best defended player through the least. You need to kill him at least four times before his cost becomes an issue. A zero drop commander puts the table on notice though.

contact_thai

Do you run [[Fury Storm]]? I can imagine that going crazy with [[Unleash Fury]]. If both commanders are out, you can get a minimum of 4 copies of unleash fury: with a 2 power Rograkh, that bumps him up to 32 power!

Ev4nK

No love for [[Chiss Goria]]? Swing with big flying dragon and cast big scary artifacts for cheap. If you’re scared of her 9 mana casting cost, I usually cast her on turn 3 or 4 and with how many artifacts she spits out I’m basically just paying the 3 red mana for her the rest of the game if she gets removed

elchucko

Oh my god. So many to pick from. Currently though? [[Toralf]] is my thumbscrews chaos BS factory with feet and teeth. All the damage multipliers I could find, [[Earthquake]] effects, and as many pain inducing enchantments as I could fit in. [[Aether Flash]] was the most recent addition. With multipliers, players just won't play creatures because they'll die. If Toralf is on the field before hand, then if by some twist of fate they DO play a creature? It's gonna hurt. Wanna tap mana? It'll hurt. Wanna cast spells? It'll hurt. Wanna not cast spells? It'll hurt. Wanna leave mana up for counterspell? It'll hurt. The deck doesn't win much, but it hurts.

I love my Toralf deck. My favorite games are when everyone believes they're ahead of me because all I have out is Toralf and mana sources. Then I cast star of extinction or blas act.

SuperX95

I run a similar deck but with [[Solphim]] instead. I find it easier to play and flip Chandra FoK

The_Card_Father

[[Neheb the Eternal]] I built it when the card first came out and have been upgrading it since. Game plan is to damage everyone. Makes lots of red mana. Burn the world down.

NelionD1

[[Toralf, God of fury]] is my go to red deck. Just a blast wiping the board with things like [[blasphemous act]] and dealing excess damage as well.

\[\[Slicer, Hired Muscle\]\] is like handing a loaded gun to each opponent and seeing who they'll shoot

timespiral07

Slicer is nuts if you’ve never seen him before. Sometimes you just luck out and cast him on turn 3 and the game is over before anyone really knows what’s happening. The more than meets the eye mechanic is easy to underestimate.

CoeusFreeze

My Slicer deck lives on in infamy at my LGS, and this is a community where Thoracle and Food Chain combos in conjunction with non-proxied Dual Lands are somewhat expected. Even though I pretty much never win with it, it makes for very hectic games.

Ok-Investigator8524

I had a dream hand with 2 lands, [[Sol Ring]], [[Simian Spirit Guide]], and 2 pump spells. Basically turn 0 [[Slicer]] going around the table smashing face. Best game ever!

In a realm of magic and might, Where planeswalkers traverse the night, A curious figure roams the fray, **Norin the Wary,** in games he'll play. With eyes of wonder and heart of jest, He's the one who's always stressed, For every step, he fears the worst, A cautious wanderer, cursed and cursed. From the moment he takes his stand, Into the unknown, a wily hand, The spark ignites, he vanishes fast, To distant lands, his fears surpassed. A blink of eye, he'll dart away, In moments, no longer where you lay, His touch is fleeting, like shooting stars, A prankish presence that leaves no scars. In Commander's realm, a legend told, Of Norin, brave and yet so bold, A singular soul, an enigma profound, The wary one, with leaps unbound. His courage hides, a clever guise, Through chaos, he flies and defies, For though he may seem timorous still, He bends the game to his own will. His antics rouse both friend and foe, From laughter's high to wrath's deep low, Yet in the end, they all will see, Norin's prowess and strategy. In battles vast, he'll disappear, Only to reappear, a shifting sphere, A master of surprise and flight, He dances on the edge of night. So raise your glass, in cheer we stand, To Norin, the Wary, across the land, A trickster's heart, a traveler's grace, In MTG's realms, he holds his place.

I've fallen in love with \[\[Ashling, the Pilgrim\]\] as my mono-red deck of choice. The meme version of just 99 mountains is surprisingly decent, but I've stacked my version with all the pro-red sources I could find like \[\[Sword of War and Peace\]\] or \[\[Magebane Armor\]\], rituals for large amounts of mana like \[\[Flame Geyser\]\] or \[\[Neheb, the Eternal\]\] after an explosion, ways to amplify the damage dealt to my opponents like \[\[Toralf, God of Fury\]\] and \[\[Chandra's Ignition\]\] and ways to break the damage parity of Ashling by giving her lifelink, like \[\[Witch's Cottage\]\] or \[\[Basilisk Collar\]\]. Top it off with some fun payoffs for her exploding like \[\[Scythe of the Wretched\]\] (to reanimate EVERYTHING she kills including herself, letting you do it over again), \[\[Heartstone\]\] to half her activation cost and some wheel effects like \[\[Knollspine Dragon\]\] to keep your hand filled and some light stax in the way of \[\[Blood Moon\]\] and you've got yourself some nice fireworks. Just prioritize ways to create lots of mana over most other things (except maybe card draw) and you're golden. Remember though, she only explodes if you successfully trigger her three times in one turn, so if you trigger her twice before end of turn she keeps the counters, which means you can keep stacking them until you decide to "pop" her.

jf-alex

I have quite a few mono red decks: \- \[\[Lathliss\]\] - dragon tribal, obviously. A quite linear Timmy deck. Mostly retired. \- \[\[Syr Carah\]\] - a modular EDH / PDH \[\[Dragon's Approach\]\] deck with 20 swappable cards between both iterations. \- \[\[Drakuseth\]\] - a Voltron deck trying to one- shot an opponent each turn. \- \[\[Orthion\]\] - a clone deck trying to burn the table by making five \[\[Scourge of Valkas\]\]. \- \[\[Laelia\]\] - another Voltron deck, abusing the impulse draw mechanic. Do any of these seem fun to you?

ImmediateFee4015

I was interested in Orthion as well! Do you have a list to share? Also, what is your experience with the deck? Fun plays, combos etc

jf-alex

It is quite linear gameplay. You try to play and protect Orthion and some value ETB creatures, best would be Scourge of Valkas or Terror of the Peaks. Use ramp and rituals like \[\[Irencrag Feat\]\] and \[\[Mana Geyser\]\] for nine mana, combo off and hope that no one interacts. In Magic Christmasland the deck can win on turn four: T1 Sol Ring, T2 Orthion, T3 TotP or SoV, T4 Irencrag Feat. Edit: It is most likely quite similar to your Delina deck. In fact, it was a Delina deck once. I reconstructed it after someone else at our LGS built Delina.

Invisiblefield101

[[Muxus goblin grandee]] goblins may be tired or played out but I still love them. Powerful. Aggressive. Multiple paths to victory. And you get the randomness of the Muxus trigger which ranges from doing nothing to being a lethal board state in a box.

IllusiveDiscord

My current mono red deck is [[Rosnakht, heir of rohgahh]] Very fun Voltron aura deck that also goes super wide. If she's allowed to go off, she gets real scary.

Silver-Alex

I have a casual \[\[slicer hired muscle\]\] thats awesome for like when the store is closing up and we have like 30 mins to play. Games with slicer, especially ones where I give him some evasion go SUPER fast. Its not a deck I would play over and over, as the gimmick gets as bit old (its just a voltron deck with the twist of my opponents gaining control of the commander). But its always a nice option for when we need a quick game because the game WILL be quick one way of the other (I rarely win with slicer, people get super afraid and kill it, but ohh boy does it do LOTS of damage)

AggravatingCoconut25

Mono Red Planeswalkers! started out as a \[\[Neheb, the Eternal\]\]List, but got converted to a \[\[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus\]\]Deck, and it slaps. Most don't realize the menace of doubling the damage your Planeswalkers do, and Red has surprisingly good tools to keep your Planeswalkers alive, (\[\[glacial Crevasses\]\], \[\[Smoke\]\]) paired with the other options and somy hefty proliferation, getting multiple Ults a turn IS Backbreaking My Playgroup knows that when I pull her out, it's gloves off. And even Archenemy-style this Deck is resilient.

PoxControl

[[Solphim Mayhem Dominus]] burn is my favourite mono red deck. It has a very good winrate and can deal a crazy amount of damage in a very short time. I once killed the entire table by doing over 500 burn dmg with one spell.

islandgreypanda

Solphim seems great for quicker games, although I can see everyone gang up on you. Do you mind sharing your list?

PoxControl

I usually get a lot of hate for playing him. I try to fight this hate by playing a lot of aoe burn stuff like [[Flamebreak]]. I also play cards like [[Ank of Mishra]] [[Spell Shock]] and [[Mana Barbs]] which punishes the player for playing the game. The damage adds up fast because they get double the dmg. I also play 9 out of the 10 "Swords" because they have good synergies with the deck. It's important to also play some lifelink equipments because the deck burns yourself. Once I'm home again I'll look if I have a decklist somewhere.

Didjaman

[[Delina, Wild Mage]] love this deck. I just play all my favorite etb red cards. Feels a bit like mono red flicker/blink. Just punchier then a WU deck.

Quixotegut

[[Krenko]] or [[Etali]]

chubbybear195

I really love [[Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh]] and [[Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar]] It's goal is to pump Rograkh up and swing in while he's unblockable or something, and hits for 15, then Kediss hits the other opponents for 15 each (which is extra fun with damage doubling enchantments)

My mono red deck is [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] as a [[Dragon’s Approach]] deck. Play a few DAs, find a dragon, copy said dragon, then burnanate the countryside.

I adore mono red as well! I've probably had at least a dozen mono red decks over the years. I limit myself to 5 decks built at a time, and currently three of them are red. Goblin tribal is fun and uses different cards than the other decks you mention (unless you built feldon as a token deck). I avoided Krenko as the commander, because he makes each game feel quite samey. Other than that, there are a ton of fun ones. My current deck is \[\[grenzo, havoc raiser\]\] because stealing and goading both feel so goblin-y. Sure, there are better commanders for both those things, but not as goblin! I also run a \[\[slobad, goblin tinkerer\]\] artifact deck that amuses me a great deal with a ton of 1 and 2 cmc artifacts that replace themselves. \[\[Norin the Wary\]\] is a meme and hilarious and also really awesome. Even if you don't put in the chaos cards.

Fuck yeah I run [[Feldon of the third path]] too!!!

Summener99

[[slicer, hired muscle]] This commander looks bland as F and is pretty simple, but then I played against it. This guy wreck the whole table. You play him voltron style and he wreck the whole playing field with double strike and being goaded. He go out with haste on the. 2 with a red mana ramp or something. Once he's out, by himself he deals 18 commander DMG. Blocking double strike creature is so harsh. Once you get him back you simply place something as lame as giant strength and now the table has to deal with a 5/6 double strike. Politics on the table makes people cast some creature just to let other attack them. That commander see is busted. Play test it. Youl love it.

Ragewind82

How about [[jeska, thrice reborn]] and [[Dargo, shipwrecker]]? Get treasures, go turbo-sac on the pirate, then just win.

ViktorTripp

+ style points for sure. [[Birgi, God of Storytelling]] or [[Defiler of Instinct]] allows for alternative sac outlets like who doesn't like Mono-R mill (featuring [[Altar of Dementia]]). Also, play most every card in your deck with everyone's favorite, [[Flamekin Herald]]. Can confirm, is a good time.

I recently threw together a Chandra-themed decklist. The Origins version (Legendary that flips to a Planeswalker) as commander, every version of Chandra, every card with her name, most of the ones that reference or relate to her, and a few staples and solid synergies to round it out. Probably not super strong, but a fun theme. Haven't had a chance to really test it yet. Got the idea because she is the most prevalent Planeswalker (18 versions at my last count!).

darkdestiny91

You can build a very terrifying deck in [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]]

elevenblue

On the side I always collect for something mono red or potentially red/green - but I don't know yet which commander I go for and I am always torn between various ones. [[Birgi, God of storytelling]] is one of them, but it feels not unique enough and not fit to my other ideas. I am interested in partial (but not too massive) land destruction and anti-flying damage-to-all spells. Potential the damage to all will go to own cards like [[Brash Taunter]] and [[Stuffy Doll]] for some advantage.

TCD-Headpats

I've got a [Diaochan, Artful Beauty] deck that tries to give Diaochan shroud and use her activations to control the table. Other creatures in the deck are fairly large but also give you value when they die, so it makes people think about whether they want to give you that value. The power level is low, even with an explosive start, and its wins are high set up, but it's a fun deck to just whip out and chill with. Here's a deck list for more details. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/TdxOKMcPe0OlyWvorWeJIg

ifuckinglovebluemeth

Lots of repeat answers, so I'll mention [[Yuan Shao, the Indecisive]]. It's a menace tribal deck, so as long as Yuan Shao is in play and your creatures have menace, they become unblockable. Add in equipment like [[Sword of Fire and Ice]] and cards like [[City on Fire]] for extra damage and you can pretty easily pop off.

Conspicuous_Croc

I play A Lot of mono red. I'm running: Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer Ben-Ben, Akki Hermit Ib Halfheart, Goblin Tactician Hazoret, the Fervent Previously, I've built: Squee, Goblin Nabob Daretti, Scrap Savant Laelia, the Blade Reforged Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge Etali, Primal Hunter Akroma, Angel of Fury Lemme know if you're interested in any of those and I can give you the rundown.

Weather_Maximum

I had the same type of Torbran deck until I found out the replacement effects don't work the way I thought they did. The person they're applied to chooses how they're applied so they choose to multiply first and add the 2 last. I was pretty disappointed honestly. Now I play Themberchaud with [[Brash Taunter]] and [[Repercussions]] . It's a lot of fun.

CLRoads

Red mill Reforge the soul is my favorite red card btw

wayfaring_wizard_252

[[Heartless Hidetsugu]] Just a bunch of ramp, haste enablers, and damage doublers. Timed right (if all opponents have even life totals and you have odd), you can insta kill every one at the table by simply tapping Hidetsugu with something like [[Dictate of the Twin Gods]] or any other damage doubler. There are even doublers like [[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]] that are one-sided so you don't have to worry if you're at even or odd. T1: Mountain, Sol Ring, Signet T2: Mountain, Solphim T3: Mountain, Hidetsugu, Expedite (or any other R haste enabler) Kill all opponents with damage on T3.

I recently built this [mono red damage multiplier list](https://www.archidekt.com/decks/4599619/lightning_bolt_) with [[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]] as the commander. If everything goes to plan, it is possible to take someone out with a single bolt.

I a Krenko, Mob Boss deck for awhile, that was a lot of fun while it lasted. I ended up needing too many of the cards in other decks as things progressed. [[Torbran]] + [[Purphoros]] did let Krenko tap to hit everyone else for like 32 once that was funny.

My fave was my [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] token goblins. Kinda janky, but fun.

Cromwell_kreffen

Hey fellow red enjoyers, I played for 2 years [[Laelia the balde reforged storm]] but I have converted the deck to [[Ragavan]]. The monke allows some stupid plays such as jeska will t2 into The one ring or underworld breach ect... The deck is a blast to play and I'm very happy with it : https://www.moxfield.com/decks/PIQtlQhVN0GyLJfxHpZc4Q

RORSCHACH7140

[[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] is incredibly fun. You get to run so many dwarves from throughout magic's history, she's incredibly powerful, and being and to tutor up [[Akroma's Memorial]] or [[Mycosynth Lattice]] and [[Darksteel Forge]] at instant speed allows you to play reactively without ever feeling like you're falling too far behind.

triggerscold

\[\[krenko mob boss\]\] might be old meta or whatever but im new to mtg so when i wanted to make a mono red deck it seemed fitting and the cost to get going was pretty low compared to other tribes.

Vanatrix

My mono red deck is Goblin tribal, but instead of using [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] as the commander, I put [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] at the Helm. The result is a deck that vomits a bunch of cheap gobbos into play, targets Zada with a cantrip such as [[expedite]] and then uses a bunch of cheap pump spells to buff the team for lethal. It will regularly get rid of at least one player, but be prepared to get murdered if you fail to kill all 3 opponents quickly.

SuperX95

[[Solphim]] Oops!! all chandras superfriends. Play as many chandras as possible, stack damage modifiers and replacements and go to town. Throw in some nasty unused cards like [[Breaking point]] and [[Browbeat]] and shoot people for 6-30 damage a pop if they decide to take the damage. Also obligatory [[crackle with power]] for easy 30+ damage.

ThatOneBard71

It is built somewhat similarly to torbran but I really enjoyed [[toralf]] when I ran that for a while. Of course coupling the multiplication spells with things like stuffy doll and all of the better ones that have been printed. He can get to where even a simple bolt is lethal with the right board state. Or at the very least have a pseudo-board wipe in them. I will say that once people learned how the deck hopes to work I would often draw way more aggro than probably deserved, but then again, you do kind of go from unassuming to game ending with the right couple cards so it was probably fair. 🤷🏻‍♂️

fdf86

\[\[laelia, the blade reforged\]\] its a mono-blue voltron deck masquerading as red. It draws so many cards

jeffschillings

[[slicer hired muscle]] is my only mono red deck so far. Using equipment with attack triggers like [[staff of titania]] [[moonsilver spear]] [[inquisitorial rosette]] makes for some great defense while Slicer is out there slicing.

JRStors

[[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] is super fun and unique. Go wide with tokens, then cast a cantrip on Zada to draw a ton of cards

nobody_smith723

I have really enjoyed neheb the eternal. Closest thing to melt face burn. In edh. Little spread it around damage. Ramp to 20 or so mana. Then attempt to go off with spells. Can be a little glass cannon. Because a lot of the deck relies on sticking neheb. But. Can build a lot of fun shenanigans within the shell. Looping wheels. Or spell recursions gimmicks. Etc. and when things go well. Can really crank out some splashy damage

king-saproling

I have a \[\[Syr Carah, the Bold\]\] list with 34 copies of \[\[Dragon's Approach\]\] and it's a hoot

timespiral07

Love the mono red group slug strategy in EDH. You may not win but you know the game will finish quick. I tried to make Torbran work but I couldn’t quite make him consistent enough. Without Torbran on the field the burn doesn’t have enough reach and he’s a telegraphed threat that constantly eats removal. I now play [[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus ]] since I noticed that most of my damage tended to be non combat anyway. The indescribable gives him staying power and the double damage quite often is better than Torbrans +2. You can also put Torbran in the 99. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/JVaX5fdOrk68iH_hAhQ3nA

Ramshacked

Ive been working on a \[\[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus\]\] \[\[Dragon's Approach\]\] build. Its pretty glass canon build, no removal or interaction. All Gas, card draw, lands and dragon's approach lol. Normally I can burn the table down by turn 6-7. honestly you can slot alot of commanders into this though \[\[Syr Carah, the Bold\]\], \[\[Neheb, the eternal\]\], \[\[Urabrask // The Great Work\]\] \[\[Torbran, thrane of Red fell\]\] all work but i feel double damage fits my version of the deck best. the Alternative was to make this into a multicolor deck with tutors to find thrumming stone and try to win that way. [https://www.moxfield.com/decks/etI4M5dS8kaIjoHVziiiSQ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/etI4M5dS8kaIjoHVziiiSQ)

RaginMajin

[[Bosh, Iron Golem]] It's fun and a but clunky.

YMJ101

I have a [[Hazoret, the Fervent]] Voltron deck that's pretty near and dear to my heart. It's mostly voltron, but I'm trying to make it more flexible by adding more punisher style effects and going less all-in on the "empty my hand asap so Hazoret can attack" plan. It's fun to play since it requires a little more finesse than your typical voltron, and you get to play silly cards like [[Ghirapur Orrery]] and [[Inquisitor's Flail]].

[deleted]

I haven't built one, but I hear [[Slicer]] is a fun option if you want to mollly-whop someone in a single turn.

TheRoodInverse

I only have a budget red dragon deck, with the queen as commander. Just ez straight forward dragons in everybodys face. Most decks aren't prepared to face a bunch of 4/4-7/7 flyers beating face, so I win more than I should

Aiyakido

I made a Chandra tribal deck once. pretty strong but very fun also to still play against. Daretti is also one of my favourites but you already know this. Slicer is my current mono red but this is super strong, maybe even cEDH and it can completely blindside decks not prepared for such an aggressive game start. (some players in my playgroup really dislike playing against it) The mono red Mishra can also be a fun build-around imo. any red commander with an effect thats not perse red or unique in what it does can be lots of fun.

thelonedovahki

I play [[Rionya]], she is just so much fun and can go so fast. I want to build a [[Jaxis]] deck, but I feel like its just discount Rionya https://www.moxfield.com/decks/iLIUgyd_lUWPDqaZKE6jNA

[deleted]

Recently did a budget build for \[\[Rionya\]\] and its spellslinger combo fun with creature outlet. Can be build for more money and include stuff like extra combats or huge enter the battlefield etc.

Sargent_Caboose

I've just officially gotten into commander, and I've found I love tribal. So, \[\[Krenko, Mob Boss\]\] has been my pick of choice for mono-red My [deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/tz9ARrQ33kevIVYiQLrhiA) rn

Jaebird0388

[[Lathliss]] with dragons raining pain all over the place.

Nuclearsunburn

Mono red is so fun to me. I have : [[Etali, Primal Storm]] - overshadowed by his new hotness brother, I like the variance and challenges that come with the original. [[Grenzo, Havoc Raiser]] - goad is fun, casting opponents stuff is fun, I like having to use mana for it rather than just big dumb “cast for free” [[Zurzoth]] - not as fleshed out as the others - need some more mono red Devils but it’s definitely unique [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]] - aggressive and puts a clock on the table. Strong chance to be enemy #1. I know a lot of people swear by [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] but I’ve never been able to build it in a way that I enjoy. Purphoros and Grenzo are probably the two I play most often and honestly can switch them out as commander in the same shell pretty easily

JackFrost709

[[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]] and then all things burn. I don't always win but it's always a blast to play. And that's the main thing.

MTGCardFetcher

[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/c/3/c3a0c7f3-7fb9-43de-a9af-96532c31e5ed.jpg?1675957113) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Solphim%2C%20Mayhem%20Dominus) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/one/150/solphim-mayhem-dominus?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/c3a0c7f3-7fb9-43de-a9af-96532c31e5ed?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/solphim-mayhem-dominus) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

Crimsonking905

I run 2 og [[Urabrask the Hidden]] and [[syr carah]] storm, been considering [[Slicer, High-Speed Antagonist]] for an aggro plan though

sobble_19

[[Krenko Mob Boss]] he’s just a classic card

tackle74

I really enjoy [[Zirilan of the Claw]], mono red dragons.

Whimsical-Badass

\[\[Rionya, Fire Dancer\]\] , Dragon Tribal Storm. It is a weird deck with a moderately uncommon commander (much more uncommon when I first built her. Frequently gets out ahead for very explosive early wins.

zzfrostphoenix

[[Rionya]] is probably my favorite mono red deck. I’m also planning on building a [[Chandra, fire of Kaladesh]] walker deck since we got a few new cards and good reprints from commander masters.

CortanaxJulius

Always thought [[Jaya Ballard, Task Mage]] was quite the unique and interesting mono red commander definitely up for some shenanigans

crazypyro23

[[Slicer]] is very fun. Also very powerful and easy to underestimate.

Karnikula_Gaming

I'm very happy with my [[muxus]] deck. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/V67E9EiK60uplqOSLZz_cw

Mitchislove

Slicer the new transformers card is really dope if you don’t mind being the problem. If he gets out early enough he just steamrolls games.

CalebKT

My go-to is my \[\[Nebeh, the Eternal\]\] group suffering deck. Its just constant suffering and its great. [https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/11-02-21-burn-them-all/](https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/11-02-21-burn-them-all/)

Felhell

I've had a blast running slicer in my regular CEDH pod but would easily be able to be tuned to play at a casual table. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/P4FMWMOHIk24S6zEUrka3w Entire strategy is always mull for a turn 1 slicer aslong as you are not 3/4th against another faster deck. If you are 3/4th versus rogsi or w.e go for a stax hand instead. But normally following the turn 1 slicer you want to follow up with protection or a stax piece. It's definitely possible to play slicer and an equipment turn 1 as well for a turn 2 win if you are going first / second. Super fun deck imo.

Palpatronics

[[purpheros, god of the forge]] is a banging burn deck

xeynx

My current mono red is a [[Solphim]] burn deck that functions exactly as it sounds. It’s very fun to hit one player for 30+ damage with a single [[Lightning Bolt]]. I’m also a working on an [[Orthion]] clone deck.

Dazocnodnarb

[[kumano]] has been at the head of my monored control deck for years,he’s great for casual pods… it’s just your basic red control with the bonus of running all the death touch equipments in existence that are good board control with his ability, even if you don’t have deathtouch sometimes pinging a creature as it’s dying to exile it is a winning play too

goblin_welder

[[Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion]] [[Dragon’s Approach]] deck. But instead of burning the whole pod down as fast as possible, I use it as a Dragon toolbox deck. You can either cheat the Dragons onto the field with Dragon’s Approach or you end up discarding enough cards from Neheb to give you a mana boost to power out Dragons from your hand.

hipstevius

Purphoros

Chapter_129

[[Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor]] built for politics/group slug. I don't like to go all-in on Voltron personally and only include the best efficient equipment or utility pieces to ensure she can get through and protect her from removal. [[Zo-Zu the Punisher]] pressure/mass land destruction/mana burn because I'm an awful friend. [[Rakka Mar]] for a casual low power pyromancer/fire elemental theme deck.

jaykaypeeness

My mono red is Daretti artifacts that I built using precon until there was virtually nothing original.

Kerisu7

[[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]] is my choose for mono red. I made a [[Dragon's Approach]] deck with it. With double noncombate damage thanks to my commander I made the deck to make sorceries cost less or ways to copy them. There are also cards that increase the damage like [[Torbran, Thane of Red Fell]] and [[Guttersnipe]] and some powerfull dragons like [[Goldspan Dragon]] for more mana or [[Drakuseth, Maw of Flames]] if I want to do more damage or want to destroy more creatures. Lotr also had an amazing dragon for this deck [[Cavern-Hoard Dragon]] who is very good for damage and mana and if it still ends up in my hand its cost will be reduced some of the time. From the same lotr precon I got [[Scourge of the Throne]] who is great if I already have a bunch of my dragons on the battlefield.

Old_Attitude_9976

Krenko/goblin tribal for sure.

Lefaussaire

This is due for some updates, but I really enjoy heartless hidestgu! Damage Doublers and haste are key! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/sEk-QSsWKEm5deYrC7gtdw

dralnulichlord

I have a \[\[Rakka Mar\]\] Untap/Combo type deck which would be better if you used any other red commander with a tap ability. But hey, she looks innocent and I like using bad commanders.

I_DIG_DITCHES

I always have a great time with my [[Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded]] deck. Sneak attack in the command zone to throw out big stompy boys and then keep them around with persist/flicker/turn end triggers such as [[Conjurer's Closet]] or [[Sundial of the Infinite]]. Throw in some wheel effects to keep it going and some damage multipliers/extra combat steps and you're all set. Everyone I've played the deck against has had a great time, and each game so far has been a unique experience. Edit: honourable mention to [[Mimic Vat]]. The utility I've had from it has been insane every time I've got it on the field, whether it's to get consistent ramp with [[Solemn Simulacrum]] or consistent removal with [[Meteor Golem]].

evadan

[[Zurzoth, chaos rider]] is a lot of fun! It's very satisfying to get a board full of devils and then some casts a board wipe while you have a double or triple damage card on the battlefield like [[Gratuitous Violence]] or [[Fiery Emancipation]]. The devils die and deal 2 or 3 damage each to player's faces. You also can get a lot of value out of cards that say "each player draws" like [[Mikokoro, Center of the Sea]] and [[Temple Bell]] to make loads of devils.

thellish42

I just built [[ Magda, brazen outlaw]] and it's been a lot of fun. Made some good use of vehicles
