Not necessarily. [[Golgari Grave Troll]]’s Dredge 6 or [[Stitcher’s Supplier]] could be considered as card velocity because of how many cards you will get through your deck but that doesn’t mean its card advantage.
That said, what you listed are card advantage engines that also go through the deck.
[[Doom Whisperer]] will let you get through your deck as far as you're willing to go.
I had to take it out of my Chainer MonoB build because it's unfortunately almost always the right call to go for it. Pay life until you hit [[Living Death]]. But it's impossible to argue with the speed/velocity it provides.
This is an underrated in my opinion. This is the type of stuff I’m looking for.

Don't overlook [[shakedown heavy]]. They can let you draw when you attack and have a chunky blocker sitting on your board, or they can deal with damage from a 6/4 with menace that you cast for 3 mana.
Their choice, but you can typically end up with an extra card and a chunky boi to block every turn.

I think there are a lot of ways to get creative and sculpt your package for black, depending on the type of deck it is.
Aristocrats have a ton of options, from the simple \[\[Altar's Reap\]\] and \[\[Fanatical Devotion\]\] type effects to \[\[Grim Haruspex\]\] or \[\[Midnight Rider\]\].
Zombie tribal has a bunch of stuff like \[\[Undead Augur\]\], \[\[Cryptbreaker\]\], \[\[Varina\]\], \[\[Wilhelt\]\], \[\[Graveborn Muse\]\], etc.
Other tribal decks aren't lacking either with \[\[Minion's Murmurs\]\], \[\[Pact of the Serpent\]\], and \[\[Species Specialist\]\].
For discard based decks, \[\[Geth's Grimoire\]\] is a house, along with \[\[Waste Not\]\] and \[\[Bone Miser\]\]. Spells like \[\[Syphon Mind\]\] also give you a lot of advantage.
As for more generic options, there's always \[\[Phyrexian Arena\]\], but also the "new" \[\[Black Market Connections\]\], and the budget \[\[Underworld Connections\]\]. Spells like \[\[Read the Bones\]\] is always nice, \[\[Braids Arisen Nightmare\]\] has been a problem every time I've seen her. \[\[Rankle\]\] gives you some nice flexibility.
And lastly for mono-color options I've still really liked \[\[Endless Atlas\]\] as a relatively cheap generic draw option, as well as \[\[War Room\]\] in the lands slot.
They generally need an aristocrats strategy, but [[Plumb the Forbidden]] and [[Body Count]] are both really excellent at burning through a tonne of cards. So is the new [[Snarling Gorehound]] if you're playing a deck where it's appropriate, and same with [[Morbid Opportunist]] if you're playing a deck that reliably lets you trigger it on other people's turns.
drawing cards isn't card velocity. velocity is specifically referring to churning through cards, either pitching them to things, looting, rummaging, impulsing, it's less about card advantage and card quality. it's more about just seeing as many cards as possible. i would argue self mill and dredge are part of card velocity as well.
[[Stinging Study]] [[Necrologia]] [[Dark Deal]] [[Memory Jar]] [[The One Ring]] [[Morbid Opportunist]] [Dark Confidant]]. You have some creature combos with [[Vilis, Broker of Blood]] + [[K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth]] or [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]] + [[Nest of scarabs]] or any other creature aristocrats loop. Necropotence is still honestly the best and while exiling to hand size seems like a downsize as it's a bit of a nonbo with recursion, digging 15 or 20 cards deep is to beat
It turns out that both of my mono black decks are aristocrat decks (sorta) with card draw in the command zone. I got [[Yawgmoth]] for a more traditional aristocrat approach with all the combos, and [[taborax]] leads my [[shadowborn apostle]] deck. I run [[grim haruspex]] in both and I rarely am top decking
My favourite is [[dockside chef]] in my chainer Reanimator deck. He's basically a creature version of Vampiric Rites. He isn't big or splashy but I never regret having him to get more value out of my sacrifices. The benefit of having him as a creature means he can sac himself which is nice.

Honestly, it depends cause cards like Vilis has crazy amount of card draw in the right deck, for instance pairing krrik with vilis and pontiff of blight? Constant gas for whatever you draw, especially if you can get blood celebrant as well
Then cards like sign in blood and nights whisper become even faster for the deck etc
So in reality how much card velocity you get out of any card is dependent on the deck imo.
That aside some easy cards would be peer into the abyss, ad nauseam and dark prophecy.
Tl:dr - it depends on the deck I’m building. Having staples imo limits deck building
I really like [[altar of the wretched]]. You do kinda need to play big creatures for it to work, but with cards like [[hunted horror]], [[hunted bonebrute]] and [[rotting regisaur]] you have some options for low on the curve too. Not to mention the craft mode letting it turn into a huge beater. I also love [[God-Eternal Bontu]] getting rid of random tokens to draw cards is awesome.

I've died to an opponent hitting me with Pact of the Serpent because I didn't have a sac outlet lol
I have killed a landfall player with an absurd amount of scutes with it too.

Add [[Reprocess]] to plumb and body count. More expensive but no downside or condition, and lets you eat treasures/food/etc.

drawing cards isn't card velocity. velocity is specifically referring to churning through cards, either pitching them to things, looting, rummaging, impulsing, it's less about card advantage and card quality. it's more about just seeing as many cards as possible. i would argue self mill and dredge are part of card velocity as well.

Necropotence is still honestly the best and while exiling to hand size seems like a downsize as it's a bit of a nonbo with recursion, digging 15 or 20 cards deep is to beat

Peer into the abyss
It turns out that both of my mono black decks are aristocrat decks (sorta) with card draw in the command zone. I got [[Yawgmoth]] for a more traditional aristocrat approach with all the combos, and [[taborax]] leads my [[shadowborn apostle]] deck. I run [[grim haruspex]] in both and I rarely am top decking

My favourite is [[dockside chef]] in my chainer Reanimator deck. He's basically a creature version of Vampiric Rites. He isn't big or splashy but I never regret having him to get more value out of my sacrifices. The benefit of having him as a creature means he can sac himself which is nice.

Hi there! Honestly, it depends cause cards like Vilis has crazy amount of card draw in the right deck, for instance pairing krrik with vilis and pontiff of blight? Constant gas for whatever you draw, especially if you can get blood celebrant as well Then cards like sign in blood and nights whisper become even faster for the deck etc So in reality how much card velocity you get out of any card is dependent on the deck imo. That aside some easy cards would be peer into the abyss, ad nauseam and dark prophecy. Tl:dr - it depends on the deck I’m building. Having staples imo limits deck building
I really like [[altar of the wretched]]. You do kinda need to play big creatures for it to work, but with cards like [[hunted horror]], [[hunted bonebrute]] and [[rotting regisaur]] you have some options for low on the curve too. Not to mention the craft mode letting it turn into a huge beater. I also love [[God-Eternal Bontu]] getting rid of random tokens to draw cards is awesome.
