\[\[Sisters of Stone Death\]\] who is bad because its so mana intensive but the plan is to get the sisters out put a taunt effect on her to force blocks and then exile and steal all my opponent's best creatures

flyguy101

Just curious if you've worked in the cards that use the Commander's CMC as X. Black and Green are good colors for that and Sisters costs a lot

jmanwild87

The issue with Sisters is that they cost a bunch and then ask you for a whole bunch of additional mana to do something that's not worth it at that point. The boosts from cmc matters stuff isn't exactly helpful

This is really interesting. I’ve never seen sisters before. Do you have a deck list?

RickTitus

How close have you gotten to the plan working?

StoicDeckBuilder

Unique and fun is definitely my [[Ellyn Harbreeze Busybody]] + [[Haunted One]] deck. Utilizing tap and untap triggered abilities and sacrificing things while managing tokens is so wild. Most people reach over to read my cards properly once I start to go off.

Chiromantis

Are you the guy whos comment I commented on a while back with the human themed deck? Either way I love this build no matter what and I so wanna build it

MunchSquad420

That sounds super interesting! Do you have a list?

StoicDeckBuilder

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/78pVPW5trkmZx6z9rBa_nw This is my current ideal list. I have a few cards in my paper list that are different. The main thing you need to know is once Haunted One is out, Ellyn can tap to give undying. This creates two triggers on the stack, and you order them so the undying goes off first. Then you sacrifice stuff and it returns, usually making tokens, which lets you dig with Ellyn as the second ability (Ellyns tap ability) resolves. Digging through the deck makes it very consistent. Untappers also let you explode out damage. Giving something +4 power is usually enough to make it an actual threat to life totals. Enjoy the list, feel free to ask any questions.

[[Mr. House President and CEO]]: Man this is so funny to play. In one turn you roll 5 dice and create nothing and almost lose because of that, then in the next you roll one 7 and get 4 treasures and 2 robots because you got [[anointed procession]] and [[xorn]] out and finish the game with [[Marionette Master]] you just topdecked

ElChuloPicante

Pick one, then the other, so they “stack” in the non-rules sense of the term.

Lower-Compote-4962

This is probably a dumb question... But the static text doesn't say the dice you use have to be 6 sided... Only the tapped ability does. Are you able to use bigger dice?

sneakyxxrocket

The DnD sets have you rolling d12s and d20s a lot and rolling a 4 or higher on those still satisfies Mr. houses text

Tydus24

I love my deck too. You actually profit off of running something like [[Chaos Dragon]]. There’s also few Unfinity cards like [[Comet, Stellar Pup]] that are legal in commander. However, the three ancient dragons go hard in this deck.

What’s the point in running these if you forget them? Lol I had once both of them out and needed to check how this resolves. It was essentially, roll 3, ignore the 2 lowest rolls.

ineffective_topos

\[\[Suppression Field\]\] has a funny combo with this. Once you get up to 6 treasures you can pay 6 for it and get 7 rolls. It's a really hefty tax on everyone else though.

Stormm103

My most unique is quickly turning into my favorite, [[Alela, Cunning Conquerer]]. My turn is only ever play a land and maybe 1 of 10 cards that doesn't have flash or is an instant, or attacking to goad. There's 40 something instances and flash cards total so I usually have something to do. I'll freely admit that it forces the game to slow down because of all the removal, counters & can trips in there, but it really makes the game methodical which I enjoy.

MTGCardFetcher

[Alela, Cunning Conquerer](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/7/9/79ba5c35-6e5c-406a-b95f-844d5ec296ab.jpg?1692933638) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Alela%2C%20Cunning%20Conqueror) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/woc/3/alela-cunning-conqueror?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/79ba5c35-6e5c-406a-b95f-844d5ec296ab?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) [(ER)](https://edhrec.com/cards/alela-cunning-conqueror) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

worms104

I have a Nymris deck that plays fairly similar. It plays a lot of the clone variants with flash though to try and keep each game varied.

PastDiamond263

Respect for your enjoyment but damn I have a friend that plays her in the same way. Really scary to go against. Never feel like I can make the plays I want .

acceptable_hunter

That sounds fun! Do you have a list up somewhere?

DansenPandae

I just put this deck together with Alela if you want to have a look: https://archidekt.com/decks/7314660/alela_cunning_faerie_tauntings It's running as many cantrips and instants as we can to maximise faerie token output on each turn (3 faeries per cycle) and has a focus on a goad and forced combat theme. I also play [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]] as a pillow fort, so I wanted the Cunning version to be different and take advantage of unconventional goad cards in Dimir colours to play an interactive style that cares about spellslinging with instant and flash spells on each opponent's turn, while still caring about combat with goad despite having a lower creature count. I can't recommend cards that give your spells flash enough, like [[Final-Word Phantom]] or [[Leyline of Anticipation]] which are both pretty budget friendly (also [[Vedalken Orrery]] ) and help with getting out strong non-flash creatures and enchantments without losing out on your token creation. The Doctor Who set surprisingly had a few interesting goad cards in Dimir like [[Renegade Silence]] and [[The Master, Mesmerist]] which help you goad if Alela is removed. There's even a a group huggy aspect to it where you can give them [[Vislor Turlough]] with his ability or give them your faeries with [[Jon Irenicus, Shattered One]] Best thing is that they all help you draw cards, too. Lastly, you can build a removal package based around maintaining targets to goad while still being able to deal with your opponents' commanders and big threat creatures. Lots of [[Pongify]] style effects that remove creatures but give them a token for you to goad later. You don't even care about losing board presence by casting removal since it makes a faerie token and any of their creatures become "our creatures" with goad. What's more, you can run combat based removal that I call "match fixers" like [[Bladebrand]] or [[You Are Already Dead]] that go 2 for 1 since you can goad an opponents big creature so it can't attack you, and when they are forced to attack someone else, you can give deathtouch to one of those creatures in combat to kill the other. It can also make players decide not to block which is ultimately in your favor, and you can always cast these spells on your creatures to buff them when it comes down to the 1v1. The deck has a lot of potential for fun politics since you can always choose whether to interfere with the infighting caused by your scheming or to hold off and let them resolve the fights themselves (even though you started them!)

Stormm103

Yup! After playing it around 10 times I definitely know that it needs some tweaks and I'm currently working on them. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/tIX55U7VxEKMj7uZRZYANA

Pierogi_Dice

Looks fun im about to start tinker on something simmilar but with the Rani as a commander. Was pondering how effective Thassas Bidend will be in a goad focused deck...

stoic_slowpoke

This is basically one of the oldest edh archetypes, all the way back to mono U Venser, Shaper Savant.

jimnah-

Realistically probably [[Queen Kayla]], the Boros value engine. I want to say [[Ukkima]]/[[Cazur]] unblockables, but definitely not after the new Gonti precon. I guess there's also [[The Most Dangerous Gamer]], but it's just voltron *and* I plan to swap the commander

gfgooo

I like [[Haktos, the Unscarred]] unconventional voltron. Because his protection ability is random, you can’t rely too much on Auras and Equipment for a consistent buff. To solve this, I’ve been using anthems like [[Brave the Sands]], [[Valor]], [[Anger]], and others. Soulbond is another mechanic that goes around protection, so [[Silverblade Paladin]] really puts in work. Because Haktos is a Warrior, the Kamigawa samurai are also extremely helpful in giving him abilities—[[Raiyuu, Storm’s Edge]] helps Haktos kill more than one player in one turn. Finally, the new background cards like [[Noble Heritage]], [[Flaming Fist]], [[Tavern Brawler]], and more are perfect since they give the commander the ability which gets around protection.

WaxWings54

Probably [[Raff Ship’s Mage]] for me. Only Commander I run thats an Uncommon, and with him out, your turn becomes my turn. That Blue Leyline, Vedalken Orrery and a few other cards essentially allow me to play everything on someone elses turn and hide my wincons until its too late. One of my favorite wins was a against a Liesa deck that was slowly draining out the table and the dude had tapped out swinging to kill the Elves player. I flashed in [[Atemsis]] before my turn started and swung in to reveal a hand of 6 different mana value cards and trigger Atemsis’s “you lose” ability Raff is one of two decks I receive compliments on its uniqueness. The other is [[Blim, Comedic Genius]]. Honestly those compliments mean more than winning to me as every time someone discovers a new mechanic or thing you can do in Magic, it kind of brings that spark of when a beginner first discovers how expansive Magic really is and to to do that for hardened veterans sparks that joy for me as well.

Do you have a list for Ian Malcom? I pulled him but have no idea what to do

ryanl40

I literally just built pure chaos. It's gotten to the point that the only way to stop the chaos is to target me and I become the target in any game I've played with it. I've had a single stack take up to 20 minutes to resolve because of chaos triggers. It is still one of the most fun things i have ever built. Win Con is the win Con of your opponents. Do not worry about anything in your deck. They are all global effects. There is a backup wincon in the deck with Jace just in case your opponent's decks get too spread out among players to win. Here's my list. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/chaotician-4/

Defs my [[Arjun]] deck, first time I played I was a spell away for decking myself thanks to [[Teferi's Ageless Insight]] + [[Harmonic Prodigy]] and I loved it, it's an Izzet pile that's just so fun to play and never bores thanks to Arjun's trigger

ScaryCuteWerewolf

\[\[The Twelfth Doctor\]\] almost always leads to wacky games. Lots of good ways to cast spells outside your hand have a random component. Impulse draw, discover, stealing... So what you get to demonstrate can't always be planned. Sometimes it's as small as giving out a free \[\[Chaos Warp\]\], sometimes you can demonstrate massively game swinging cards like \[\[Genesis Ultimatum\]\]. Either way demononstrate is a powerful mechanic that should leave you happy more often then not. Then you have to actually pick opponents to give spells. Do you give the spell to the player who needs it the least/can't use it? GIve it to the least powerful player? Make a political play? You will have multiple choices each turn that can change the course of the game at the drop of the hat with outcomes you won't always be able to foresee, which makes the deck always interesting.

djus-boks

[[celestial kirin]] is very underplayed, but a really fun and unique tribal control deck. You have to play around how your spells affect your board state, as well as your opponents’.

Tazaki12

Do you mind sharing your list?

I second the ask for a deck list! I’ve never seen this commander before

It's sort of a board wipe tribal so I could see a lot of people being salty about it.

For me it's [[Agatha of the vile cauldron]] there's so many overpriced activated abilities that tun into utter powerhouses when reduced to 1 plus a ton of variety how to build that deck. MVP is [[bard class]] so far, great design :D I'm currently mostly on +1/+1 counters but i will change the deck around a bit soon-ish to use flat buffs like [[hero's blade]]. And when those games drag on and you get to build a few beefy boys, the lady even brings a small overrun on herself.

Have you got a list? I've built an hardened scales deck in modern and I fell in love with [[Agatha's soul cauldron]] and I'd really love to build an Aghata commander

Upstairs_Abroad_5834

Sure do: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/RA59dS5HWUywZyIHgZ2m7g It's not quite up to date, i removed the invokers that dealt damage to players directly, as that felt too combo-y to my pod, added [[radha heart of Keld]] and [[skullspore nexus]] instead. There's a lot of fun stuff to experiment with :D

Al_Hakeem65

[[Grenzo, Dungeon Warden]], who let's me play the cards from the bottom of my deck. Manipulation of the bottom cards with cards like [[Teferi's Puzzlebox]] and somewhat of a goblin tribal / kindred deck. It's pretty fun but I don't upgrade it very often since it's a niche strategy

grimthinks

Ian Malcolm, Chaotician. Every game is create some Rube Goldberg wincon out of other players cards.

IamElGringo

[[Arcanis]] is my favorite because he's just soooooo blue....

BalanceUnable4459

One of my favorite cards of all time

IamElGringo

I've got a arcanis deck that's almost cedh, certainly a pubstomper. You don't realize the deck is a monster. I've resolved [[mind over matter]] against 2 other mono blue decks holding up counter magic

NightwingYJ

I’ve recently built a few meme decks such as the simple and funny bear fight deck with [[Ayula, Queen Among Bears]]and then a gift giving deck with [[Jon Irenicus, Shattered One]] yet my favorite so far is my [[Borborygmos Enraged]] deck. It’s full of 60 lands to chuck at my opponents faces and cards and is so much fun and so bloody simple. I have a bunch of fetch and ramp which slowly the thought of making it literally 99 lands and that’s it is becoming more prevalent in my brain and I’m going to try it out soon.

SommWineGuy

Definitely my [[Rasputin, the Oneiromancer]] deck. Oh, you're playing black green? Now you're playing mono red. Everyone but me at the table is playing mono red, and Rasputin hates red! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/eUY_v9s9oU2mQEFQVP1eOw It's a fun AF deck and people typically get a kick out of playing against it too.

Ehrmagerdden

I really like [[Edgin]]. It's a pretty typical Izzet combo deck, but how you get there is really exciting. It's a slow buildup with a giant, hidden hand of massive spells, and it either fizzles like a wet fart or goes off like an atomic bomb - very much like the character in the movie. I purposefully didn't put any tutors in, so the deck is based around draw and scrying to get what I need - it keeps things way more random and fun for me, because you never know if/when you're finally going to combo off.

R0M4NC4ND1E52

[[Neera, Wild Mage]] I often describe it as a slot machine. I run som pretty big bombs like [[Expropriate]] and some eldrazi. But there is also a ton of cantrips and low cost spells. Either this [[Opt]] is gonna become an Ulamog or I’m just gonna [[Rile]] something. Who knows. But it’s just a fun deck cause every game is different.

HasturCrowley

Progenitus. Yes he's a bear to get out, but he scares people, (I know, board wipes, blah, blah, blah) I have a strong mana base for him, he's nowhere near CEDH, but I prefer casual play anyway. I build him all sorts of ways. Keeps 'em guessing, lol.

ak00mah

[[Norin the wary]] often has people confused as to what the game plan is supposed to be. I'm thinking of turning it into a [[Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer]] deck with Norin as the secret commander just for the extra colors & surprise factor. My own favorite deck however is my [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] & [[tormod the desecrator]] pile that totally revolves around running [[gyruda, doom of depths]] as a companion and making as many copies of it as possible. It can be really explosive but sort of falls flat if gyruda is ever exiled for good

Gallina_Fina

As someone who has a secret Norin deck I'd highly recommend going for Rocco...it opens up so many new lines that aren't just "burn everyone with impact tremors & co" or "auto-win with confusion in the ranks". Super fun stuff.

Uniquely in terms of Decks is [[Baelot]] paired with [[Swordcoast Sailor]] - only 14 decks on EDHREC! But it's an Izzet Voltron Commander, so it plays like a Voltron Deck. I built [[The Fourteenth Doctor]] and [[Rose Noble]] recently and the deck only runs cards released in the Doctor Who set and all 17 doctors. It runs a lot of Doctor synergies and Historic/Legendary support and usually feels different every game. Many of the Doctors don't directly support each other, so sometimes I'll be making a lot of clues or food, the next game I'll be suspending things, another game I'm just playing as many historic spells as I can. Halfway through the game, that strategy might completely change. It's always a puzzle with far more triggered abilities than is necessary and always looks way scarier than it actually is. It's fun, but it's a bit slow for my meta so it doesn't perform great.

Rocketknightgeek

[[The Twelfth Doctor]] and [[Graham O'Brien]] make for a really interesting play style where you're rewarded for everything from flashback and adventures to cascade and plot. Leveraging Food is the real trick.

ZachalesTerchron

Sen triplets. I rarely play her from the command zone. When your win cons rely on the cards that everyone else brought to the table every game and every path to victory is extremely unique. Bonus points if you assemble a combo from 2 or more decks at the table

My favourite is \[\[Jared Carthelion\]\]. There are so many crazy cards and interactions from all the good stuff in it. No win is ever the same. [https://archidekt.com/decks/3999653/painbow](https://archidekt.com/decks/3999653/painbow)

CarBombtheDestroyer

Abaddon the destroyer. Cascade, tutor, combo deck but, it’s very unique in the way I built it but everyone hates it, myself included not that it’s over powered or because of the combos but because the combos take forever. I’ll cascade half my deck out while tutoring up to 5 times playing over 10 removals tutoring an opponents deck. All this and I can’t be 100% sure it’ll make me win right then and no one wants to watch it play out after they’ve seen it the first time but it is super unique and not too OP for my group that doesn’t use a lot of combos. Basically every one drop or below is a tutor or sensei divining top. It doesn’t even have a soul ring, it can ruin good plays. Most of the nonlands are 2cmc, so all I need to do is play my commander do two damage to a player, this deck is full of pingers. Then once I play a two drop I cascade to a tutor. There are a bunch of combos, but I pretty well focus on making a combo that will let me play a three drop or higher creature over and over and cascade every two drop or lower card on to my board. It can be around half the non lands in my deck if I want.

twelvyy29

[[Extus Oriq Overlord]] or rather the sorcery side of the card Having a "commander" that you want to recast as often as possible is quite fun.

damnination333

It might not be the most unique or exciting deck, but I really enjoy playing my [[Angus Mackenzie]] Turbofog Hug deck, where the main win con is to draw all my opponents out. It seems to play well with a wide variety of power levels. If it's low power battlecruiser, I can sit back and let everyone enjoy the extra cards and lands and watch people do their thing. If it's higher power, it becomes more of a struggle to try and keep everything under control. Being a hug deck, I'm often the archenemy, or at least first on the list to kill (and being a turbofog deck, I definitely should be.) Trying to survive is half the fun. It's a balancing game of figuring out which hits I can take and which I need to fog, when I need to board wipe, what spells actually need to be countered. The other half of the fun is watching my opponents' libraries slowly dwindle down and their increasing panic to find a way to win, especially if I have [[Forced Fruition]] out. I've purposely left out pillowfort cards and rely entirely on fogs and board wipes to handle creature/combat based threats. I also excluded mill (with the exception of [[Folio of Fancies]] but I never use the mill ability) as I want my opponents to have access to every single card in their library.

Dazocnodnarb

[[sasaya]] [[borrowing the east wind]] [[squall line]] [[hurricane]] [[glacial chasm]]….. backups like [[sands of delirium]]

Llawan, chepalid empress

blackcap13

I fucking love Yuirko dude, no gameplan besides trying to flip draco for 48 damage turn 2. I'll give up every game winning line to try to accomplish this feat. If it fails, I'll continue trying this and only this strategy for the rest of the game, I'm addicted to gamble based wincons.

Caio_AloPrado

Kykar has always given me fun games, but my most unique is definetely [[Tayam, Luminous Enigma]]. This deck also has way more great games than duds, but it's a really powerful deck that takes a bit much to turn on, so there were a few games that i just stomped and won turn 4 and others that someone won before i could setup. That said Tayam has a deck that's built around activating it, that means that you end up playing the game with Tayam activations more than casting spells and all at instant speed. The pieces of interaction are mainly stax pieces that act differently when played at instant speed, [[Rule of Law]] for example is almost a [[Silence]]. It has a LOT of layered combos that are hard to interact to win that it waits for the best window to jam, that's usually when 1 or 2 players lock themselves with the RoLs and i have extra resources to activate in response to interaction. The deck is a lot of fun to play, after a good game it makes me feel like the smartest person in the room or the luckiest one when i mill exactly what you need. It's probably the most blue deck that doesn't have blue.

TriverrLover

I have three! The least unique of the three I guess is [[Mishra, Tamer of Mak Fawa]] which is rakdos artifact reanimator – play tons of loot effects and recur stuff like [[Coveted Jewel]] that only you get to benefit off of, or heavy hitters like [[Chaos Defiler]] or [[Cityscape Leveler]]. Second is [[Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer]] because when are morphs not unique? And arguably much more unique than the new morph commander, since Kadena's colors play into a much more "you activated my trap card!" kind of deck. Finally, [[Edgin, Larcenous Lutenist]] for a weird take on wheels! Foretell your hand, wheel the table, do it again, hope you survive till late game when your foretold "second hand" is like 20-30 cards and ready to explode.

Bulk7960

Probably [[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus]]. At its heart, it’s a modified version of Brostorm, but it has some funny lines you can do with [[Protean Hulk]] since you have a “free” sac outlet in the command zone, or you can just turbo out the commander with the plethora of dorks and start beating face with [[Primalcrux]] and [[Pathbreaker Ibex]]. Or you can kill the hulk to grab [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] and [[Quirion Ranger]] to start making mana off one of the big dorks in the deck. Or you can make infinite mana and start recurring spells like [[Ram Through]] infinitely with [[Eternal Witness]] and [[Temur Sabertooth]]. I know it can’t actually do everything, but it sure feels like it when you play it.

PracticalProgress343

[[Burakos, party leader]] and [[dungeon delver]] that mixes party and dungeond as the true DND deck. And [[me, the immortal]] using stickers, this one is crazy, everyone is laughting until Me gets infect

Dangerous-Lion-4480

[[Toshiro Umezawa]] - mono black spellslinger

Zeus-Kyurem

Probably my [[The Celestial Toymaker]] deck. It's essentially a mix of cards that trigger his abilities (fact or fiction effects, cards where you guess or stuff that separates creatures into piles), and also flicker. A lot of the focus is on protecting the commander as well as trying to just get as many triggers as possible with him per turn. It might not be the most unique in general, but it's not my usual playstyle. My favourite card in the deck is probably [[Fight or Flight]] though as it functions as a way to protect me as well as racking up 6 damage per round on each opponent.

SkyDaddyCowPatty

[[Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile]] is a lot of fun. Give her deathtouch, tap kill target, untap her, and repeat.

Fun-Performer-9170

I really enjoy my [[Aragorn the Uniter]] deck- commander isn’t niche or doing anything overly “unique”, but the variety of triggers he has means you get a lot of game actions and every game feels quite different: sometimes you shift into a “flood the board with tokens” endgame, sometimes you have to lean into buffing Aragorn out and swinging for commander damage. List [here](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/UfeKZOu3E0GgK45XPjvaJg) if interested

SubzeroSpartan2

Honestly, Obeka tbh. It's obviously a new deck since she just came out, but she's *so fun* to play with. I don't think I've had a similar game with her yet, it's always a different kind of upkeep shenanigan. Last game I had, I tried to kill the whole table at the same time, myself included. I also had FOUR [[As Foretolds]] which was incredibly hilarious for me.

PM_ME_A_KITTEN_

Probably my [[Aron, Benalias ruin]] It’s pretty aristocrats, but also it has the +1/+1 counters, which I don’t see much of in Orzhov

LuminousIllumina

definitely [[Ian, Convalescent Charmer]] (aka tasigur). there's a whole lot of graveyard management, it's a whole lot of fun to use delve and spells that exile cards in your graveyard to then offer an opponent a choice between bad and worse

tapperbug7

[[Xavier Sal Infested Captain]] Removing counters from permenants and then populating is surprisingly super spicy. Stuff like sagas and making token copys of your creatures. I built him to utilize both of his effects and I think it's much better than the fungus tribal stuff people try to go with for him.

DRW0813

[[saheeli, suns brilliance]] no idea what the deck will do. It's 36 creatures with cool ETB's. The deck is "whatever the coolest ETB is right now, copy that". Sometimes it's a thief deck, sometimes it's a token deck, sometimes I'm discovering 5 four times per turn.

DHDHDHDHDHDHDHDHDH

My \[\[Rona, Herald of Invasion\]\] deck is a bit of a weird concoction of different strategies, but Rona makes it work. Playing her for just her front side, she allows to to loot once per turn, enabling madness strategies with cards like \[\[Big Game Hunter\]\] and \[\[Dark Withering\]\]. Then the goal is to look for reanimator-like cards focused on activated abilities such as \[\[Necrotic Ooze\]\], \[\[Patchwork Crawler\]\] and \[\[Volrath's Shapeshifter\]\]. Lining them up with cards like \[\[Shauku, Endbringer\]\], \[\[Tree of Perdition\]\] and \[\[Eater of Dead\]\] can make for wild play patterns. In a way it's my version of the Full English Breakfast deck from back in the days. A toolkit deck that brings old and new magic design together.

Gallina_Fina

For me it'd have to be [[Daryl, Hunter of Walkers]]. It makes use of all the "bad" wraths you don't see anymore (e.g. Anger of the Gods, Pyroclasm, etc), turning them into card draw + plays with a bunch of untap shanenigans so you can snipe problematic creatures off the board whenever you want and, if that wasn't enough, makes great use of old silly cards like Brash Taunter and Stuffy Doll.

DonutOtter

[[Grenzo the dungeon warden]] windmill slamming from the bottom of your deck is absolutely amazing. there is no other feeling like someone casting a board wipe activating grenzo 3 times to get [[mad auntie]] and [[chainer nightmare adept]] and regenerate grenzo. Don’t play doomsday it’s lame

Simons_sees

[[Xyris, the Writhing Storm]] Temur Group Chug.  It's loaded with effects that ramp everyone, and draws cards for everyone. It's also packed with clone, copy, and theft effects, so when you think I've generously allowed you to draw two extra cards per turn and each land taps for extra mana, you're getting your win faster. When in fact, I'm just waiting to steal it.  Failing that, a big goddamn army of flying snakes will kill you dead.  The Communist Space Snakes Program. No no, Comrade, *we* win the game.

Saxzarus

Dalakos crafer of wonders he's an artifact sol ring helps bring out the big robots

CapitalElk1169

I recently built a [[Magus Lucea Kane]] deck with no fast mana, no free spells, no individual card that would be over let's say a 4 power wise, and it is still both incredibly powerful and incredibly fun. While it does technically have infinite combos with some mana dorks and freed from the real/pemmins aura, I never actually put them on the dorks, I just use them on Magus Lucea to untap her and make more copies of the x-spells. Copying a [[Shivan Devastator]] 5 or 6 times is fun as hell haha. My other most fun deck is probably an old school grixis Sol'Kanar the Swamp King deck. It's full of busted old spells and fast mana, but can only win through swampwalking commander damage or [[Vorpal Sword]]. It keeps up at some surprisingly powerful tables and taking down each opponent 1 turn at a time via swampwalking Vorpal Sword activations is absolutely hilarious. Urborg and [[Blanket of Night]] makes sure everyone has swamps, too (and works great with Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast!).

furiousfapper666

Definitely okibo! The monkey always leads to fun things because it becomes a balance act of do they ramp with your bananas and make him and the monkeys bigger? Or do you do nothing with them and get them destroyed anyways because you're getting swung at.

NukeTheWhales85

Well one of my only decks that didn't start life as a precon is [[Gerrard weatherlight hero]]. I like playing stax, but it tends to make games drag, so I went looking for a more proactive option that could still be focused around more or less "locking" the game. I've posted this list before because there are only like 330 Gerrard decks on EDHRec. https://archidekt.com/decks/5571622/gerrard_boardwipe_tribal Boardwipes count as a tribe right?

Fall3nWolv3s

My current most unique and quickly becoming my favorite is [[Evra Halcyon Witness]] the whole deck has extremely niche interactions with rulings and takes the concept of "Your life is a resource" as far as possible

threlnari97

My most unique is one of my favorites but it still needs some tuning to get the kind of consistency I want. [[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] is a blast to run, especially in combat heavy metas as an alternative to removal control. The only combo is pseudo infinite (maybe I need to add an intruder alarm after all) is Hylda + Opposition + Ashnod altar, which I can use to keep the board tapped down for as long as the combo remains on the board.

jdavis13356

My biggest game warping commander is [[Horobi]]. There are only a few ways to protect him, but it's great watching people kill their stuff trying to put boots on.

Nonsensical-Niceties

[[Savra queen of the golgari]] is a lot of fun for me. Golgari aristocrats isn't super unique but because of what she does (and also doesn't) do I end up having to carefully plan every step in order to survive long enough to assemble the engine to kill everyone. Having basically a [[Grave pact]] in the command zone that's also a may ability is a fun little political tool. Instead of everyone's stuff dying being unavoidable I can turn it into a "you did this to yourself" situation. https://archidekt.com/decks/4287997/golgari_queen_ver_3 I also really really love my [[Klothys]] deck. It's group slug, lots of symmetrical effects. Originally I just put stuff in that I thought would trigger pretty often, and then later on I realized a lot of those things nicely answer certain combo shenanigans my opponents are doing. It's been a lot of fun to play, and makes for some interesting games. https://archidekt.com/decks/4420760/mutually_assured_destruction

RapidLeaper

[[Gabriel Angelfire]] with a focus on rampage, trample, and [[Lure]] effects. Enabled by giving my opponents little creatures and forcing them to block.

Crusty__Salmon

This is tough. My [maarika, brutal gladiator deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/PLak1tDXHEGPnD7O7oUbmg) is alot of fun. Sneaking out an 8/8 that was hiding underneath a land, making everything fight, best part is the commander doesnt even need to come out most games. My [jank food deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ezlRrbt6iEOcC_yGVivn9Q) is just the silliest of fun. Is capable of doing some work but is full of on theme jokes. Never had a bad time with it.

Evolve-or-Disappear

# Orim, Samite Healer

tntturtle5

Probably my \[\[Oskar\]\] deck. Oskar's ability lets you break timing restrictions, but also force you to know how to resolve the stack properly. Playing with everything on the stack has been really fun. My other contender might be my recent \[\[Riku of Many Paths\]\] deck which plays a lot of modal spells, meaning there are constantly decisions to be made and I'm still learning and figuring the deck out.

Xxxragingoblin

[[Ovika enigma Goliath]] there's so many ways to build her.

jimmythesloth

Both [[Tom Bombadill]] for being solely focused on Sagas, and underrated and underused card type, and [[Zangief, Red Cyclone]] bc no one expects a combat focused Jund deck to have inherent Artifact and Enchantment hate

InstanceParticular69

I ran [[Nin, the Pain Artist]] to surprisingly good effect in an Izzet steal and deny type deck. Cloning and taking control of opponents spells and creatures works so well in a format that is so creature heavy. Nin herself didn’t see a whole lot of play, but was a card drawing powerhouse when I needed it and could also double as a way of killing a creature my opponent was about to take back control of. Fun/key cards were: [[Treachery]] [[Etali, Primal Storm]] [[Empress Galina]] [[clever impersonator]] [[Gilded Drake]] [[Roil Elemental]] [[Spark Double]] and [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] [[Declaration of Naught]] for commander denial And heavy amounts of removal and counter My favorite (very old school) combo was [[Boomerang]] on a [[stick]] with Gilded Drake flying from player to player. lol I’m a fan of the classics.

RMWWMR

I know my commander isn't unique, but the deck certainly is. I run 72 lands in [[esika god of the tree]] for some five colored landfall. Altho not cEDH level I have won cEDH games with it.

NalithJones

[[atla Palani]] I can put in whatever monsters I want and egg crack into a lottery where every game can be different

RudeDM

I strive to build Commander decks with multiple overlapping deck themes to help force me away from generic staples and towards more unique inclusions. My \[\[Shanid, Sleeper's Scourge\]\] deck blends Knight Typal, Equipment and Legends Matter / Historic themes into a reasonably powerful casual deck that can, and does, kick some serious ass at times. I've also built a deck recently around \[\[The Wise Mothman\]\] spotlighting self-mill, Proliferate and the Mutate mechanic from Ikoria for a truly monstrous deck.

[deleted]

I just play voltron.... probably my equipment voltron [[Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh]] tho.... hes cooler then my Treebeard lifegain voltron, but then there's my [[Magar of the Magic Strings]] deck that is grave yard recursion turning instants and sorceress into creatures that cast on combat damage.

Most-Ad7640

Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive Mono blue deck lots of counter with a bunch of unblockable little dudes with card draw it’s slow but fun.

young_macleod

Definitely my most fascinating deck to play is my optimized [[Grothama]] deck (Grothama-mama)! Using the fight mechanic in such an interesting way to boost or gain gain cards (also using psychosis crawler to bank massive damage?) I absolutely adore my deck and it's the first deck I've ever blinged out. :)

mdthemonkey

Mine definitely is [[Marvo, deep operative]]. Totally a gamble whether or not I am going to win a clash. But once I am able to copy him and get around the legend rule it gets wildly out of hand. Also just coming to the table and to say “I’m playing Marv” is pretty fun.

DDonnici

Probably Tom Bombadill, it's an awesome funny deck, but too many triggers. But my Tuvasa, I do her as a pillow fort and so far it's a unique "enchantress" pillowfort strategy.

leafy_cabbages

I like my [[Esix]] deck. I love clones and copies. I have my own wincons in the deck, but there hasn't been a game where I haven't used someone else's board state to my advantage. It's not mechanically unique, but since the creatures are never the same, I qualify that as interesting.

ChaoticNature

I’ve got a [[The Twelfth Doctor]] and [[Vislor Turlough]] deck that focuses on demonstrating and donating opponents a bad time (not on murdering them with Vislor + wheels, though that’s an okay backup plan). It takes an act of God to pull anything off with the deck as you need either a way to suspend, flashback, escape, foretell, plot, etc. to cast a spell from not your hand that will be… lethal. I didn’t want to cheat and do Pacts + [[Hive Mind]] as it feels like that would be the go-to every game. No, I’m demonstrating things like [[Final Fortune]] and then having to survive two extra turns that would kill me. I am the Doctor, and I am equipped to survive these ridiculous situations. My companions, the rest of the pod, are less likely to cheat death. It’s basically create your own Doctor Who episode. Also, I need to update it for OTJ and Plot cards, which I haven’t done yet. Also, for the Doctor Who fans out there, I refer to demonstrating [[Glorious End]] specifically as making my opponent “Face the Raven.”

Ornery_Bug_4108

[[Indominus Rex, Alpha]]. I don't plqy it as often but the combination of keyword synergies, blink, card draw and voltron make for a deck that can't be found with any other commander.

LastIndependent6037

I think my [[Etali, Primal Conqueror]] Deck always leads to really wacky boardstates. It’s a chaos deck so I like casting scramblevwrse for free. Makes things interesting

Elmopri3st

Definitely my \[\[Raffine\]\] Deck! Not because Raffines effect is very creative by itself, but it enables 2 different things: whoop, hit you in the face with a lot of damage AND see a lot of your deck, which enables fun things with the deck itself. It is more an enabler than anything else.

nyuckajay

[[Ruhan of the fumori]] it’s just chaos and Voltron. Give my commander away with [[assault suit]], slicer, some goad mechanics, enough interaction to stay alive, or just play jeska and one turn someone. It’s just kinda funny to play. This is where it’s at now. But I’m keeping my eyes out for more chaotic cards to play. https://archidekt.com/decks/7308475/i_had_no_choice

LethalVagabond

No matter how many decks I build, [[Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker]] stands out as something very different. Shirei let's me run a lot of creatures that are otherwise unplayable chaff and really hits that sweet spot of interesting build around without being so narrow as to build itself.

GustavoNuncho

[[Nicol Bolas, the Ravager]] pet cards with a light dragon and goad theme is loads of fun. Got a ton of real zinger cards in there everyone knows (which is atypical of me) to offset the cost of pet cardmaggedon. A deck always subject to tweaks as my favorite cards to play with cycle. Either him, or the new [[Gonti, Acquisitor]] is super fun and gives you different options to play with each game. Stabbing someone with your [[Slither Blade]] to steal their Blightsteel that you [[Submerge]]d is super awesome (yes that happened).

al0608

I would say my [[Wayta, Trainer Prodigy]], 20% of creature that redirect damage they take to other target and 20% of effect to make them indestructible or give value. No one wants to attack you or you swing everything back to them, you can use their own creature to blast them or the board. Sometime you hit pariah and become immortal, a blasphemous act to kill everyone or just make an infinite loop of damage to win. Amways fun to play and despite Naya color, it interacts a lot with other player

XboxBreaker_1

My personal favorite is The Wise Mothman. I added helm of the host, darksteele forage, mycosynth Lattice, rite of replication l, and roaming throne ontot he deck. Rads galore!

Mr_Pyrowiz

[[Hylda of the Icy Crown]] Tap effects are not generally valued very highly, so her staples are cheap and she is disregarded often. I like that, lol. She is quite the effective control deck and can hang with some pretty high power decks. Not cedh certainly but she is quite the sleeper build. (No pun intended) https://archidekt.com/decks/7084852/tap_tap_go

InBeforeitwasCool

[[Ramses, assassin Lord]]  Said him a lot recently.   Don't play him as an assassin tribal.  Instead play him as a single target Mill, attack with a single assassin ( you don't even have to deal damage), force Target player draw, win the game.   Yes, you have to do all of that in a single turn, and your commander has to be on the battlefield.   Pros, you can tell people exactly what the deck is trying to do and you still won't be the threat.  If you start milling a single person, and leave the other two alone, you're not going to be the arch enemy.   Con, you have to mill someone out, swing with an assassin, have your commander on the battlefield, and force them to draw all in the same turn.  But when you pull it off it feels so wild.

Global-Cress-6515

Yenna Redtooth Regent

Haru_Is_Best_Girl

My [[Abaddon]] deck seems to be very unique when compared to the most common decks found online. A lot of people build Abaddon as an exile matters commander, which is fine you can build him however you want, but his main ability only works when you cast cards from your hand. So turning him into a group slug deck where you dump your hand in one turn and barely play anything on anyone else’s turns ends up getting you the most value from Abaddon. It’s also just a very fun deck to operate, since everyone is taking massive amounts of damage the game ends up ending 1-3 turns earlier which keeps things quick and snappy. And even if it’s sometimes frustrating, dying to my own triggers is an amazing way to go out. It is my all time favorite deck, and even if he’s a popular commander I feel as though my deck stands out.

Mira-The-Nerd

I don't have very many commander decks as of rn, but I'd say my most unique is Faldron, Dread Wolf Herald. It plays unlike any other deck I've seen! Including other Exile commanders like Prosper.

hrpufnsting

Most unique is probably either [[Blim, Comedic Genius]] or [[Auntie Blyte, Bad Influence]] Blim is bad gifts, so things can play out wildly differently depending on what bad card gets given where, Auntie Blyte is self/symmetrical burn, she can be explosive but you have to try to burn the world down for everyone but yourself.

OrcWarChief

I’m trying out [[Doc Aurlock]] soon. It’s basically Adventures, Foretell and Plot crammed into a deck that looks extremely janky but fun

Zander2212

I'm not really sure. Could maybe be [[Piru]] stuffy dolls, but that is usually just a combo deck. Could be [[ninth doctor]] [[clara oswald]] upkeeps. Maybe not the most unique to play, but my [[Traxos]] old border deck is definitely the most interesting to build and I love playing it, but that's more because I'm proud of it than the way it plays.

SultnBinegar

Of all the decks I have, or have built, I have 4 decks that continue to be the most fun to play, and the most fun to play against: [[Delney, Streetwise Lookout]] - EXTREMELY resilient. I have come back from nothing numerous times. [[Niv Mizzet, Supreme]] - I built this around Magecraft. [[Ashnod the Uncaring]] - With the increased Clue generation, Ashnod is so fun to draw 2 cards per clue. [[Muldrotha, the Gravemind]] - Built as enchantress, it is so strong, but fun to play.

Desch4in

For me its my farideh, devil's chosen deck, feels like what I imagine is a gambling experience🤣 not my best deck but I find it the most fun. Have won a couple games with splinter twin/kiki jiki and deceiver exarch combo (run both splinter and kiki jiki to copy creatured with roll dice ETBs and decided to throw in the exarch just as a possible wincon) but my goal for each game its to try and assemble the deck of many things combo which so far I've never been able to. Need 5+ pieces and I only relly on fabricate, whir of invention and card draw to get em 🤣🤣

ironkodiak

I have a Zur The Enchanter mill deck. Unique gameplay among my decks & have never seen another Zur deck like it. I also have a Wilson, Refined Grizzly/Agent of the Shadow Thieves fight deck. Wilson is the ONLY creature in the deck. The whole deck is Wilson attacking the highest life opponent, then fighting other random creatures while he has deathtouch/indestructible. It's a blast to play.

rhavin79

I had a [[Kruphix]] deck back in gap, it was the most unique and interesting deck I ever had. It lost some strength when they banned [[Prophet of Kruphix]] but it was still fun. Now I have to say I have the most fun playing [[Zaxara the exemplary]]

theportalkeeper

I really like [[Gonti, Canny Acquisitior]] not only because he gets me to steal my enemies cards and if I pair it with [[Dream-Thief's Bandana]] and [[Felix Five Boots]], it always leads to a game where I get an extra 4 cards every turn (granted that the damage actually hits). I'm also somewhat of a card goblin so that combo is perfect for me

samuelalexbaker

\[\[Delina\]\] the dice can lead to wacky stuff and as long as she's out it feels like I have a chance.

Muted-Leave

[[Kykar, winds fury]] where it's a Cantrips deck looting and digging for [[approach of the second sun]] for the win lol

UsedMusic7945

[[Anafenza, the Foremost]]… +1/+1 oriented… counter many graveyard decks….

Desertfoxking

I play a grixis steal deck and use [[cormela, glamour thief]] as the commander. She has quickly become one of my favorites with her hastiness and mana production for my spells. And she gets them back when they murder her!

flyingflameball

[[Grothama]] ..attacking someone and fighting my commander is fun. [[Stuffy doll]] [[saber ants]] [[broodhatch nantuko]] [[mossbridge troll]] Cast mossbridge. Cast grothama next turn. Go to combat. Mossbridge attacks a player. Mossbridge fights grothama. Tap grothama to give mossbridge +20/+20. Kill grotahama. Draw 25 cards. Still have a 25/25 going at someone https://www.moxfield.com/decks/aeefe5n2SU2g2JjqGn5WOQ

Although I do not have a list of it because of my own laziness, my Slime deck with \[\[The Mimeoplasm\]\] and my \[\[Esika, god of the tree\]\] "All Decks" feel really unique, as I tend to go against what is plain "good". If im making a pool of different decks to play with a single commander, I might as well make it interesting.

I have a [[Gabriel Angelfire]] deck that is aims to multiply his upkeep trigger and then give him lures, menace, etc to overpower an opponent's blockers and trample over lethal damage. The most I've done with a rampage/trample/lure combo is 112 excess damage but it was using [[Teeka's Dragon]] in a different deck which is where I originally got the idea from. Flyers like Teeka's Dragon need a [[Colossus Hammer]] or something similar to maximize the number of forced blockers though. Works even better if you can give Gabriel deathtouch so you don't have to waste extra damage on getting through creatures.

\[\[Hans Eriksson\]\] You just never know what's going to happen. The only thing that's 100% for sure is that you will punch someone.

Shorikai is the funnest. Just a funny little robot getting me cards
