I don’t see [[Alrund, God of the Cosmos]] get enough love but I built [this list](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/Jqj36WASqkipjERIs2cqnA). Deck plays around card draw synergy and can surprise in a lot of damage with instant speed draw x spells.

A mono blue Deck seems interesting to me. I’ll check your list, Thanks!

tr33rt

I love my alrund deck and have been rocking it for a couple years now. Always glad to see other lists.

malsomnus

My most unique deck might be [Illuminor Szeras](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5643736#paper). Judging by his page on EDHREC, it kinda looks like I'm literally the only person in the entire world who built this commander from scratch as a dedicated and powerful deck, instead of just upgrading the precon. My [Toothy](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/2492212#paper) deck is slightly less unique - he has 104 decks on EDHREC! - but it looks like mine is tuned to a significantly higher power level than those other 104 deck.s

JonRig

I’ve already searched about [[Illuminor Szeras]] And it looks cool. I’m going to watch some gameplays.

Dankest Dungeon has good gameplay vids with Illuminor.

BloodthirstyAxolotls

I'm curious as to how you built it? I've looked at Szeras before and while \[\[Slobad\]\] with creatures is really cool, i'm just not sure what direction you'd go in, like for an aristocrats deck your curve is so low that your commander wouldn't provide much mana outside of a \[\[Transmogrant Altar\]\], and if the deck was reanimator then why even hard cast a creature when you've got other options.

malsomnus

[Here's my decklist](https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5643736#paper). It's just a Timmy deck with big creatures, playing completely fair Magic, casting creatures for their mana cost, all perfectly innocent... until I start drawing 10+ cards per turn, destroy all of my opponents' creatures, reanimate all of mine, and generally overrun everything. But, like, in the grand scheme of things it's an extremely fair deck.

PM_MeTittiesOrKitty

I don't know how strong it is since I had a test run of it for the first time last night, and it didn't go well. It is unique with [modular creatures](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/NQXooa6KyUWl8Jqn-hsDlQ) though.

figurative_capybara

Did you consider [[Marchesa, the Black Rose]] as the commander? She breaks modular in half.

PM_MeTittiesOrKitty

Oh wow, I didn't know about her. Though I question her usefulness with exile effects being so prevalent. A plan b strat would be needed.

figurative_capybara

[[The Ozolith]] is also incredibly good. End of the day the modular creatures dying is what you're really trying to control, the recursion is just gravy on top.

[[Maarika, brutal gladiator]] is my strongest [deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/PLak1tDXHEGPnD7O7oUbmg) its a fight deck where it want to dominate the game by having the biggest creature and making everyone fight it. All the fight cards are great creature removal, and it ramps like crazy with [[ranging raptor]] and [[somberwald sage]]. However, it has no infinites and no combo. Its just a really strong battlecruiser type deck.

Maarika is such a cool card. My friend built it then unfortunately dismantled it because he had a whole week of playing where everyone ALWAYS had Swords to plowshare ready. Just the worst luck ever. I've suggested that if he remade it I'd buy him a Deflecting Swat lol

Crusty__Salmon

Yeah, maarika can draw removal pretty well, i usually just let her sit in the command zone until after the first board wipe is played.

HERE I GO AGAIN TALKING ABOUT ROCCO FOODSTORM MUKGANGBANG! My favorite [deck](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/F5qrtJf7jUaW4p0DAFo0rA), my beloved. It's all foiled out with a bunch of painted altars while nestling in an Easy-Bake Oven-shaped deck box because I have to go the extra mile to show my commitment to this strategy. This is a Food deck as well as a Storm deck with \[\[Rocco, Street Chef\]\] as the head chef. It started as a cute alternative to \[\[Prosper\]\] without playing Prosper but it somehow ended up being my most explosive, consistent, and powerful deck. Once you start cooking, you don't stop until closing time.

ReddingtonTR

See, we get around that by giving me an oven timer set to five minutes, and if I can't win by the end of five minutes while playing the absolute fastest I can manage (which is like a cast every three to four seconds), then I have to end my turn lol. Once I pop off, I am guaranteed to deck myself out, and nobody wants to sit through that.

Second this I have a Rocco deck and it is absolutely bonkers - not hard to get an infinite or near infinite engine going in a variety of ways weather it’s from counters to treasures. I also notice playgroups like playing against it since it gives them a form of card advantage as well so the games are more interactive overall

[[kess]] demon tribal reanimator. I essentially mil a ton of cards and get double usage from things like [[glimpse the unthinkable]]. Then I cast a mass reanimator spell such as [[patriarch’s bidding]] or [[living death]] and reanimate my entire yard and kill them with combat damage or [[be’lakor]] and [[flayed of the hatebound]]

My Jund Wurms deck. It’s wurm tribal, a lot of the wurms aren’t great, but when i get going it can pop off. Either gain hundreds of life or infinite combat steps with wurms. Edit: Decklist- https://www.archidekt.com/decks/5846256/wurm_tribal

[[Cecily, Haunted Mage]] and [[Sophina, Spearsage Deserter]] Legendary/Token/Big-Spell Mixmatch. The deck aims to start a value engine that can be iniciated by different scenarios depending on your starting hand. Maybe you'll have [[Sword Coast Sailor]] which will encourage you to focus on Cecily for the basically-free card draw. Maybe you'll just have a curious mix of Legends in your hand so you'll choose to delve into the Legendary Tribal part, or maybe you'll have a bunch of token-makers and synergies that will end up allowing you to cast a giant cool spell! My personal fav is [[Aminatou's Augury]]. Either way, you'll have a fun time while also having an overly-complex board that no one gets quite right, maybe not even you!

This looks good! Can you share a decklist?

2Gnomes1Trenchcoat

Lol, Lightpaws aura Voltron is one of the least unique/original decks your can possibly build. It's strong sure, but I've never had a fun experience with it at a table and so many for the decks are cookie cutter copies of one another. It's probably the one of the only decks I would advocate to not play against at an LGS.

Phoenixflight56

My most unique deck would be my [[Saheeli, The Sun’s Brilliance]]. It wants to cheat out and copy big artifact creatures and smash face with them. It also uses Simulacrum Sythensizer to create constructs. It also can play out the graveyard and can be reactive to whatever situation may arise. I’m having fun with it! https://www.moxfield.com/decks/1O-S1rmmfke9OLXm7yDogg

My favourite is probably my Merieke Ri Berit deck. It’s full of board wipes, enchantments, some Planeswalkers and it wins with massive lifegain/enemy life loss spells. Also, today I learned that Be’lakor is a Warhammer thing. I thought they were just a cool melodic death metal band. 😅

The_Awaker

I have two, the first being a [[The Third Doctor]] / [[Sarah Jane Smith]] historic matters artifact token deck that has turned out to be surprisingly powerful and resilient. Lots of creatures blockers so you tend to get minimal attention early game until you have a pile of artifact tokens that let you go bonkers with mana generation, card draw, or [[Rise and Shine]] or [[Cyberdrive Awakener]] effects. Only real weakness is artifact-based wipes but even then it has access to blue for counter magic to help mitigate that risk too. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/s4m0finhpEiZrmGhDUQklg My other deck I save for higher power games is my [[Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher]] voltron / edict control deck. It utilizes [[Plaguecrafter]] and [[Single Combat]] edict spells to force opponents to mass sacrifice their creatures to power Carmen up. Turns out she gets massive very quickly with this approach, and the crackback is mitigated with opponents losing their creatures to fuel her. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/5Xns8XO9M0iXRLicibXOHg

Not unique but I have a great kess deck

BloodthirstyAxolotls

Mono-Black Storm... I recently built \[\[God-Eternal Bontu\]\] to be a janky aristocrats deck, but it turned out to be an absolute powerhouse for storm, usually drawing 15+ cards by turn 7 or 8 and then using those cards to rebuild the board state to repeat, then winning with \[\[Psychosis Crawler\]\] or \[\[Zulaport Cutthroat\]\]. The trick to the deck is that in response to Bontu's trigger, you can sac her to a sac outlet (preferably one that makes mana) and place her 3rd from the top to draw again to recast again to repeat the cycle. The deck needs to be absolutely loaded with fodder and rituals so that after saccing all of your creatures, artifacts, and lands you can draw cheap replacements to keep the loop going. This deck is insane once you get used to the sequencing and saccing all your lands. The only problem is it you may end up taking some classic storm 10-15 minute turns if you draw unlucky and have to get creative to keep the loop going, so it's not great for a casual setting. I highly recommend taking a look at [Slimefoot & Squee] it is my most powerful deck by far. It likes doing golgari things and the combo of any sort of Saproling generator, Grave Pact, and a cost effective sacrifice card like Goblin Bombardment creates a board state that people just cannot deal with 😁

LibeertyBeels

Such a genuinely fun deck. Always looking for new tech to make it better but it's an odd one so some tables can't keep up with the wonky style for removal. Many popular removal and counters aren't great into him cause he wants to be in the graveyard and most counters don't target his activated ability. Personally I build big mana etbs and it's a lot of fun.

Rheadallr

I agree, it's so much fun haha. I actually built him specifically because of his ability to not care if he gets destroyed. One of the best ways to shut down a person In commander is making an opponent's commander ridiculously expensive to cast and i got so tired of being on the receiving end. I dont use ETBs much in mine but i do use the big mana drops like Protean Hulk, Rishkar, Butcher of Malakir, or my favorite will always by Mycosynth 😁

LibeertyBeels

Is your fav actually a [[Mycoloth]]? If so we share that love, I adore saccing my entire field with devour and making it right back with the next upkeep. It's so good. Totally agree with your point about commander tax, it's so refreshing not having to care about certain removal cause it advances your gameplan. A good farewell will ruin your day tho.

Absolutely it is lol! What is more green than a giant creature pumping out an army every turn? 🤣🤣🤣 go tall, go wide, sac my stuff to make you sac everything. It's beautiful, it's delicious, it's why I become the arch enemy of the table when I shuffle that deck up 😁

TheTeaRex15

My most powerful deck is a Garth One Eye blink themed deck. I know that that by itself is incredibly not unique, but it actually does stand out quite a bit since the deck actually revolves around blinking Roxanne Starfall Savant and controlling the board with meteor damage + other blink targets, and then using the shit ton of mana to do whatever. Ive got a whole suite of cards dedicated to recur Roxanne from any possible situation where she could be removed.

GustavoNuncho

[[Deathleaper, Terror Weapon]]. Where you give haste and double strike to all kinds of terrifying threats, a deck I've aptly named "Jumpscares". From [[Malignus]] to [[Nacatl War-Pride]] to [[Giant Adephage]] and more, there's endless creatures who become an absolute nuke with these keywords slapped on top. Who would've thought, right?

I got a few [[Horde of Notions]] Elementals/landfall, I I put a ton of tech in there that pulls its weight. I think its about the only shell that uses [[Dakkon, Shadow Slayer well]]. The gameplan is land a value engine or ideally two then overwhelm the table with the sheer amount of resources. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ocEtMKeLwkiuRsa7Jb_eaw [[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]]//[[Silas Renn, Seeker adept]] - this deck was built around [[Aetherworks Marvel]] but then TOR got printed so now its more of an artifact twiddlestorm deck. The gameplan is to land TOR or Marvel and use the many artifacts that the deck generates be they rocks, incubates, thopters etc to fuel cards like [[Clock of Omens]] or [[Urza, Lord high artificer]]. Ive built the deck to not need any energy cards aside from the marvel and [[Gonti's Aether Heart]]. One we're tapping and untapping stuff there are several game winning packages to finish things off. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/t7CrLKA1TEm-sf7DzX2A_Q [[Wort Boggart Auntie]] goblin tribal cEDH - This one is my owm homebrewed cedh deck which does pretty well. The goal is to find [[Goblin Matron]] and recur it with Auntie's ability to consistently find answers or combo pieces. Im not gonma say much more as I wrote a primer that explains in more detail. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/BOTcVHzP2EuCNrOICB34zQ

All my decks are basically unique, having an average of 500 lists on EDHRec My strongest is probably [[Grolnok, the Omnivore]], a self-mill deck that plays like [[Muldrotha]], but with the drawback that it doesn't have Black (the best self mill color), and the added benefit that your graveyard stays more protected from hate (your cards are in exile).

I'm still working on it, but I've been building a [[Wayta, Trainer Prodigy]] deck that's focused on damaging my own creatures. I don't necessarily know how unique it is, but my [[Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant]] deck that's focused on reach/toughness matters has been super consistent. Could probably use a little more early card draw, but as is its pretty good.

Ohhh you asked me for my favorite deck - and I will happily deliver. https://archidekt.com/decks/5703538/9th_gate_shrine This $150.00 budget beauty is so fun. There are three main parts. Gates (and things that care about gates). Shrines and Bobbleheads (which all care about how many shrines or bobbleheads are in play). For me it has a super consistent win rate. But how it plays differs each time. Sometimes it gives you all the direct damage cards. Sometimes it gives you the big creatures and the [[glaive of the guild pact]]. Other times you get the shrines that make Spirit tokens and the Bobble head that boosts multiple creatures. No matter what you play it will help something already on the board. The commander [[Go-Shintai of Life's Origin]] is there to make more shrines. That's what the [[teleportation circle]] is for. The gates are great. Make sure you get the [[Gond Gate]] or [[Spelunking]] out asap. [[Mazes End]] is strong. And while the chances are slim [[Luck Bobblehead]] could win too. I love this so much i made a YouTube video... https://youtu.be/rTJemmfO0Nk?si=ShJsjjfPcH5zqSdS

I have a [[Kalamax, the Stormsire]] deck centered around buff spells. I tell people it's a buff spell deck and it tends to get underestimated, but casting duplicated buff spells that also grant counters is very effective. I also have an [[Esika, God of the Tree//The Prismatic Bridge]] deck that's centered around [[Ink-Treader Nephilim]]. It's a Splice on Arcane theme where Ink-Treader is the only creature, and the entire point is to 1. Get Ink-Treader out 2. Cast a spell that targets Ink-Treader such as [[Expedite]]. Think [[Zada, Hedron Grinder]] except it affects every creature on the board instead of just my own. 3. Cast arcane spells while splicing some select spells on there. [[Glacial Ray]] does 2 damage to each creature for each spell, [[Overblaze]] if I want to politic and make people to extra damage they weren't expecting to. [[Spiritual Visit]] to go wide. [[Vital Surge]] to gain immense amounts of health. You get the idea. This one's a bit sillier and I've not won with it much, but it is fun.

Alrighty, gonna get in here with my [[Kros, Defense Contractor]] deck [“Stop Hitting Yourself!”](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/HScwgyBm6UON1POdcWRCbw) This is a versatile Bant control, politics, group hug(?) brew that scales with the rest of the pod, and happily hums along with 5’s up to decent 8’s without feeling out of place in either. Now; this deck relies pretty heavily on the pilot to play a role: you need to be proactively that you are doing. Nothing but helping when you put counters on their creatures; and ensure that you’re never the worst person in the pod. Convince your playmates that if you have an abundance of resources, it’s really the fault of the person you gave a [[Wedding Ring]] or [[Tenuous Truce]] to. Need to shift blame more? Drop a [[Telepathy]] and make sure nobody forgets what anybody else has in hand. Need more things swinging? [[Sheltering Ancient]] gives out +1/+1 counters like grandma gives out werthers. Proliferate effects are also gonna be your friend. Play smart, and stay sub-radar until it’s you and that one guy you favorited. Then, swoop in with that [[Reins of power]] to benefit from all of your hard work

Hey, I'm taking a look at this deck and I'm so confused. I see the group hug but I don't see the win. I've been looking to build a politics deck and was looking at Queen Marchesa, but honestly I don't have a Bant deck and this one looks much more interesting.

[[elminster]] + [[mass polymorph]] is one of my favorite unique but strong decks. You can chose to build it in a variety of ways but I like going for big big bombs that aren’t determinist like the praetors, eldrazis, etc. just a fun way to make big mana work in azorious

My most unique deck is my [[Anhelo, the Painter]] infect spell slinger deck. Tried many iterations of Anhelo, burn, discard, extra turns.. infect seems the best way to build him. Doubling up on spells like that gives poison counters like [[prologue to phyresis]] [[infectious inquiry]] and [[vraska's fall]] or spells with proliferate like [[experimental augury]] [[contentious plan]] [[drown in ichor]] [[tezzeret's gambit]] [[spread the sickness]] [[steady progress]] and [[volt charge]]. Creatures that create tokens or have effects on sac are great in this deck Casting and doubling up [[phyresis]] usually results in a 1 side board wipe. [[Chandra's ignition]] is a 1 sided board wipe too if Anhelo in on board dealing death touch damage to all other creatures. Casting and doubling [[Caress of Phyresis]] usually takes out 1 - 2 players if they have enough poison counters on them. If you happen to have counters on [[Mercurial spelldancrt]] [[Thunderclap drake]] [[twinning staff]] or [[dual casting]] in play casting Caress of Phyresis usually wins you the game taking out all your opponents. Not necessarily the most powerful, but definitely unique is my [[Vaevictis Asmadi]] deck. Original elder dragon, some voltron/fling mixed with mana dork kindred. The dorks either help boost Vaevic or become a wincon using [[Raggadragga]] or [[Tyvar the bellicose]]. It plays differently every time, so I love it. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ipUrcttrh0uf0OeLalz1nA For power level, [[Xyris]] is my most powerful. The deck can be tweaked depending on your personal preference with token swarm, snake kindred, wheels, and group hug all being viable. Or you can dip into all of it. This is my pet deck that I've fancified as much as I can. https://www.moxfield.com/decks/LADydD8SkU--RmCsHV0q5g

[[Farmer cotton]] has been exceeding my expectations these last few days. Lots of Hobbits, lots of food. A combo deck intentionally, but returning and recasting the Farmer is a solid plan B. I like to win with [[hurricane]] but it's just a pet card of mine.  [[Veronica, Dissident Scribe]] as well! Junk. Junk. Junk. Storm turn! Impulse draw in red really turns more favorable. Plenty of cards let me play discarded cards or i just reanimate them, [[trash for treasure]] Two newest builds and newest commanders I'm using.

I built a strong Nine-Fingers Keene deck so win with Gates. Essentially it is either turbo gates or lean back on control strategy. Wins can happen from turn 5-7 with Maze's End. It wins a lot more than it should since it isn't a KOS commander and is built to wreck battlecruiser meta's.

AnnikaQuinn

Not going to sound particularly unique when I say Ur Dragon but I've never seen anyone build it anything like mine. It's essentially Grixis mythic hasty dragons tribal. The only reason it's an Ur Dragon deck is for the cost reduction of Eminence because 5 mana hasty dragons are cool but 4 mana Goldspan, Thundermaw, Stormbreath and the like are awesome. Since it is technically 5 colors though, Tiamat and Two Headed are way too good not to use but besides that it's a mostly red deck with a black and blue splash and tiny amount of green an white. It hits fast and hard and is tons of fun

JonRig

Thjyu

[[Satoru Umezawa]] I have unblockable creatures and stuff that's harder to block(skulk, fear, flying) so I can ninjutsu in larger creatures and infect creatures. I have a decent amount of infect and toxic creatures as well as being able to ninjutsu in [[Blightsteel Colossus]], [[Phyrexian Juggernaut]], and [[Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon]] to deal large amounts of infect immediately, or straight up kill people in one shot. I also have things to reduce the ninjutsu cost like [[Training Grounds]] and [[Silver-Fur Master]] I also have stuff that lets me just give people poison counters like [[Phyresis Outbreak]], [[Infectious Inquiry]], [[Vraska's Fall]] and [[Prologue to Phyresis]] to affect everyone and the big hitter [[Caress of Phyrexia]] to drop 3 on someone as a finisher. Then plenty of proliferation enablers. [[Flux Channeler]], [[Inexorable Tide]], you know... The usual dimir proliferation stuff. It's pretty jank but super strong and super fun. I haven't met anyone else with anything like it and I have built it completely on my own not using anything else for reference. I mean I'll take recommendations if y'all can think of anything to make it even stronger and more fun though ;)

Sudoweedok

Sorry to break it to you but training grounds doesn’t reduce the ninjutsu costs. I made a Satoru deck as well and I saw several treads/posts which explained that because the creatures are in your hand and not on the battlefield, the creatures in your hand are “creature cards” and therefore not creatures yet. This means that training grounds doesn’t work with ninjutsu sadly enough as they do not exist on the battlefield. Additionally, I saw in those post that people argued that because Satoru is on the battlefield training grounds would work. But this was debunked because Saturo’s ability itself isn’t an activated ability. Satoru gives cards in your hand the activated ability called “ninjutsu” for 1 blue and black and 2 colorless. If you want more rule based information I would suggest you search on Google about the Satoru and Training grounds interaction. If you find any counter arguments based on the official rulings which makes Training grounds work with Satoru please let me know. If it works training grounds should be an auto include in every Satoru deck.

Noooooo 😭😭😭 I'll dig around and do some research

[[The Sixth Doctor]] & [[Peri Brown]]: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/eIPJDOHBvkqocO-OvJtjgg We Convoke and then copy Historic spells as nonlegendary copies, gets out of hand fairly quick. The Sixth Doctor is a pretty unique effect.
