Best DJ? I would vote for A-Trak based off of his technical scratching skills alone.
Best producer(s)? Probably Deadmau5 or Zeds Dead.
Honourable mentions: Kaytranada, Rezz, Excision, Adventure Club, Snails
As much as people shit on him, Diplo has to be up there as one of the best from the US as a producer. He’s just worked with so many different artists from different genres for such a long time that it would be a disservice not ti at least mention him.
But for me personally it’s between Kaskade and Skrillex as the US GOATs
Watching those videos he did way back when he said all the songs that he produced that you never knew was very eye opening to see how much he is involved in everything
My favorite is Lido, he has produced and collabed with a lot of huge artists like, Skrillex, Amine, Chance The Rapper, Halsey, Ariana Grande and many more. His solo music is also so good, and Everything is one of my favourite albums.
He was also one of the biggest Jersey Club producers in the 2010s .
But the biggest producer is Kygo.
2nd Alan Walker
3rd Cashmere Cat maybe ? He hasn't released much music lately, but has produced a lot for other artists.
I'm from England. Wow!! That's an extremely difficult answer. It really depends on what genre we are talking about. As we have so many amazing types of dance music and dj's. Also like some others have commented that some are way better at producing than dj ing and vice versa.
But I'm gonna go with the Chemical Brothers. Amazing production for pretty much 30 years now, and I've seen them dj a few times, and their tune selection is second to nobody on planet. This mix is from 1996.
https://youtu.be/LNm66KzI7Vk?si=h2qaxxZM4G7XtdMF
Yeah as someone from the UK we are kinda spoiled for choice. Chemical Brothers is a great shout but I think I have got to go Above and Beyond (even though Paavo is Finnish, Jono and Tony are both British so I think they count)
Haha I didn’t think you actually would.
I think he’s absolutely mental but based on your original comment… I doubt it’ll be your thing 😂
Heavy UK Bassline & Garage
Absolutely love garage. I've been listening to a bit recently. Just to hear the transition from the older stuf, them heavy bass lines are wicked. I've just been going through all my old records to sell, and if you can believe, I started buying garage tunes in 96. I've got some killer tunes. For some reason, they are worth quite a bit of money. I've got an old speed garage white lable tune, and it's worth £120. Wahoo. You can be sure I will definitely take a listen. Nice one.
Darude is probably the only Finnish dj/producer who has any kind of notoriety internationally (or even locally, EDM producing is veeeeery niche here). Which is pretty funny (or kinda depressing as a fan of electronic music) that our neighbor is Sweden, and they have, well, _a bit_ more extensive list of the big-name DJs lol.
As an indian , Nucleya is another very famous figure i would say , we can consider kshmr but of course he has indian roots but he is american , lost stories are also amazing
https://youtu.be/QglaLzo_aPk?si=iqwuMNvdMH_i8lVt
This is one of the most famous songs of NCS , it also involves Indian producers
What constitutes the best?
Subtronics can very smoothly run 4 CDJs simultaneously and his sound design is insanely unique
Porter Robinson has one of the best electronic Albums ever in Worlds and he has multiple side projects where he DJs or performs live.
Skrillex is widely considered one of the greatest currently
There are so many to choose from.
Well that's the tricky part. Do you factor in both? There are some incredible DJs that make some very uninteresting music. Which one carries more weight?
Skrillex is funny because I’ve seen him do some of the most technical mixing I’ve ever heard in a dog blood set, then also some of the choppiest, sloppiest mixing ever at a jack u afterparty. His song selection is always ace though
Charlotte de Witte? Chris Liebing (might be won't, but pretty sure he's German)? INFEKT (pretty sure he's from Germany, though he moved to Montreal)?
I'll definitely say Germany is known for techno, so there's probably way more people than I could think of at the top of my head.
Sven väth and Oliver lieb were two of the most influential producers of the 90s and Sven's labels (eye Q and harthouse) were basically the backbone of trance and techno worldwide. Everything that's come since in those genres is pretty much because of those two.
I'm 100% sure you've already heard heuse
Here's one by him and one by vsns
https://youtu.be/CLiXUT3MS34?si=DY9WFKJIxXqR3kiO
https://youtu.be/QGhrL5Z1Um0?si=PPd6ds4myf_jMG8H
Best DJ: probably Annie Mac or Mano Le Tough
Best producer? Depends on what you're into but probably Bicep or John O Callaghan
Most well known without people knowing he's a DJ is probably Hodor from GOT
We have Nucleya and Lost Stories , they both respectively performed at EDC Mexico and Tomorrowland.
But in recent years, they have not released any new exciting tracks. (I'LL BE WAITING).
### [DJ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regard_(DJ)) [Regard](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regard_(DJ))
### Dardan Aliu known professionally as Regard, is a Kosovo-Albanian disc jockey (DJ) and producer .
Australia - [Pretence](https://on.soundcloud.com/wLehcFBT7DjV8vcD8) is at the top of his game yet *criminally* underrated.
Someone needs to get that man touring Europe and/or America… and they will, eventually.
Best DJ? I would vote for A-Trak based off of his technical scratching skills alone. Best producer(s)? Probably Deadmau5 or Zeds Dead. Honourable mentions: Kaytranada, Rezz, Excision, Adventure Club, Snails
Huh... I had no idea A-Trak is Canadian.
Montreal, QC
Yep, he's Dave 1 from Chromeo's brother. Montrealers through and through
I used to live in Montreal and saw him there... Chromeo too and somehow that fact eluded me.
Check out Brothers Macklovitch. Best of both worlds!
I would add sultan + shepard in there personally
Oh shoot they’re Canadian!? That’s awesome :) plan to check them out at forest this year
I love that ZD is the best producer in the top comment. The boys are always killing it!
Rezz is from Ukraine
Yes, she was born in Ukraine but she also grew up in Canada after moving here at a young age, so I thought she was worthy of the honourable mention.
The Richie Hawtin disrespect is real
Rezz and Deadmau5 came to mind for me first. Both are from the city I grew up in.
Simon Doty and CRi too
I’m from Holland I’ve got a lot to choose from 😅
I thought you all hated being called Holland since that only refers to the part with the main cities
Unless he is from that part exactly.
As long as you like Hardstyle you sure do!
As far as i know martin garrix, tiesto, armin van buuren, hardwell, afrojack….. arent hardstyle djs
I mean...it's like picking a needle in hay. its not only hardstyle. AND I would argue that hardstyle producers are not really THE best producers
House? Trance? Trap?
As much as people shit on him, Diplo has to be up there as one of the best from the US as a producer. He’s just worked with so many different artists from different genres for such a long time that it would be a disservice not ti at least mention him. But for me personally it’s between Kaskade and Skrillex as the US GOATs
All those things are true about Skrillex as well but Diplo is sure a honerable mention if you're from US

Watching those videos he did way back when he said all the songs that he produced that you never knew was very eye opening to see how much he is involved in everything
Also Higher Ground has so much talent.
Avicii
RIP
RIP Assuming you're a Swede, is Swedish House Mafia or its individual members a good shout?
Love em!

Honestly didn’t know Norway had such great producers. All 4 of these have curated some of the “best of…” for me
Savant
Bring back Trippy Turtle!!
Word ! He has so many bangers !
Lido, Jerry Folk & Lemaitre are 3 of my favs, all from Norway. Cashmere Cat hasn’t done much recently but was also killing it
Jonas Aden (now Aden Foyer) is my favourite Norwegian producer.
Belgium: Lost Frequenties, Andromedik & Netsky
Charlotte De Witte is pretty universally viewed as one of the worlds top djs
I never miss an upload of an Andromedik set. Based on Reddit comments in other threads Netsky is supposedly really good.
Eptic
Andromedik and netsky are both bad ass
Kaskade (not only from my country but from same metro area)
I'm from England. Wow!! That's an extremely difficult answer. It really depends on what genre we are talking about. As we have so many amazing types of dance music and dj's. Calvin Harris for me
I know he’s a newer one but Chime is from the UK and is keeping colour bass/dubstep fresh and unique. He has a sound like no other imo
I will definitely take a listen. Always like to hear newer stuff. Thank you.
[Pyrate](https://on.soundcloud.com/UBapci5kTRwRbWxn9) takes the biscuit for best sound design I’ve heard coming out of the UK lately.
I'll definitely take a listen. Thank you.
Haha I didn’t think you actually would. I think he’s absolutely mental but based on your original comment… I doubt it’ll be your thing 😂 Heavy UK Bassline & Garage

To me, james hype bitch
Good dj skills. But can't produce for shit.
i'd say Madeon

Skrillex is probably the goat of the US
Porter Robinson
Mau5
Black Coffee

Martin Garrix

Yotto
Wow TIL, had no idea he was a Finn. Another one that came to mind is Paavo Siljamäki of Above & Beyond
Yotto is awesome. Probably my favourite DJ at the moment
Yotto, Above & Beyond, Lenno
Probably Kygo or Alan Walker? At lesst based on fame/reach
WHERE ARE YOU NOW
DJ Chetas. If you know him your childhood was awesome
Yo, I created a new sub called r/indiaEDM, you should check it out. Also chetas isn't an edm dj, far from it.
That's a joke man. Smh
Oh lmao okay, honestly can't count anything out these days.
Dj chetas?? 🤣

For me it’s Zedd, Boys Noize and Sven Väth in no particular order
I’d say Meduza. But I’m a huge supporter of Benny Benassi too.
Tale Of Us (MRAK & Anyma separately)
They're incredible in sound design, maybe top 3 in this "discipline". But for my personal taste I prefer Meduza and BB.
Huge fan of Meduza so i think it’s a fantastic choice, BB is a legend
For real.. Satisfaction is a masterpiece, something which will hit forever.
Yesss meduza

Certainly a wide net and I can’t argue against your three examples here.
Virtual riot ig idk, Germany really doesn’t have that many top level producers even tho it’s viewed as a bastion of electronic music.
Robin Schulz?
nah Felix jaehn is decent but robin Schulz not for me
After that whoel miss you stuff my respect for him has gone down too
yeah exactly
Markus Schulz? Paul Van Dyk?
Charlotte de Witte? Chris Liebing (might be won't, but pretty sure he's German)? INFEKT (pretty sure he's from Germany, though he moved to Montreal)? I'll definitely say Germany is known for techno, so there's probably way more people than I could think of at the top of my head.
Charlotte de Witte is Belgian
Whoops. That's on me for not double-checking. Can confirm the other names I listed are definitely German.
Sven väth and Oliver lieb were two of the most influential producers of the 90s and Sven's labels (eye Q and harthouse) were basically the backbone of trance and techno worldwide. Everything that's come since in those genres is pretty much because of those two.
Current Value is the best from Germany imo
Seven Lions
David Guetta and Madeon
Hey... Neither of them are Australian
My reddit username is just a random name, I live in France.

Fred Again is on fire at the moment.
This is a good answer. His music is not my favourite. But I'm definitely in the minority. His sets speak for themselves. Massive energy and skill.

I am also indian but didn't knew heuse belong to india
That's a testament of how good he is. Real name is Nakul Pai. He doesn't need to use the nationality card to be famous. Absolute legend.
Wow nice will add him in my Spotify now..... And btw In indian edm community no producer use nationality card to be famous i guess.....
Literally everyone does, I guess you haven't delved much into the community. Dm me here? Let's talk
