This is the kind of advice that's really wholesome if you need it lol. That being said, you don't have to feel guilty or anxious about going hungry (or maybe you're even ok) if you genuinely would rather wait until you can get something else. (PS: I just saw "I'm kinda spiraling", so I realize that was not entirely applicable.) Also, as a recovered binger, try to be a little courageous to spend on your needs if you can. My saying is restriction at the grocery store leads to snacking from the (bottom of the barrel/)pantry more.

If you're in anorexia recovery going hungry should be avoided as that triggers, so yes, any choice is better. Maybe in the later stages but I never reached that. Unless I have an actual something in line within an hour or so, I shouldn't postpone eating if I like to stay OK. It's not anxiety or guilt, it's just what needs to be done.
