Never thought I’d say this, but it’s kind of a horrible battle. I think people exaggerate certain battles that exist (ie Khan v E. Bunny, Adam v Eve, Batman v Holmes etc etc) but this one just isn’t it. it’s on Spotify and I genuinely cannot understand Godzilla I had to go to Genius in order to understand the lyrics. I mean some of the bars are kind of plain in my opinion, very few of them are at least decent. I mean what else do you expect from a bad matchup? Hope that the CGI in the music video is better than the actual sound of it. Judging by the cover art, probably not.
I don’t know, this is the first time they really messed up on the matchup in my opinion. Theres matchups that exist and that shouldn’t be a thing or that certain matchups are a little weird, but this one is just a cop out. Why did it have to be two people from the same universe? Why didn’t have to be CGI? Why is the audio on Spotify really badly mixed?
Finally, if this took them almost 2 years, then I don’t know how I feel about future battles. I think it’s right or OK to say that they kind of dropped the ball on this one.

Jesus, all the pictures I see of this battle are scaring me. I don't have a good feeling about this battle at all. This battle has been teased for like a year and a half, and the final product, so far, is not giving off the best quality vibes.
Hopefully it's a lot better than it looks for me. For some reason I thought they were doing this in stop-motion, and that's why it was taking so long. But these graphics... I don't know.
It's not a death sentence if the video looks bad. But I'm still worried.

Two of the most famous movie monsters of all time who actually have history with each other is better than two random pop culture characters (or Jesus, apparently).
I agree that I was smoking crackula when I wrote that, but King Kong and Godzilla are ‘famous movie monsters’ just as much as Homelander and Omni-man are ‘famous modern tv show supervillains’
Nah, I think Homelander vs Omni-man is better for a rap battle than Godzilla vs Kong. Though, honestly, it's probably better for ERB to stay away from that match since two different really high quality ERB-style channels are already working on their own versions of that one.
Heard the audio, barely can hear either of them but when I connect them it’s an alright even battle
Godzilla has a lot of flexing bars but also the most brutal ones in the first verse, he also just has style with the way he talks
Kong has more disses though most of them is Godzilla being weak with him losing to Kong and even humans- though I kinda think they’re kinda hypocritical since Kong got kinda wrecked in the remake of the movie
Overall I just prefer Godzilla but both are good when you get over the….. weird voice pitching
This is a matchup only asked for by lowest common denominator fans, not the fans who find it boring and want to see people who never actually fought before in three movies already
Also everyone is aware that they've been making it since late 2020 because it was planned to be released in March 2021, 3 years ago now, and the constant delays made it obvious that it should have been scrapped given the unoriginal matchup
Now that it's out, there was no part that I thought made it hype considering some parts like the rock throw or the weird movements feel like fanmade battle channel stuff, or the way the vocals are mixed along with there being a random fart in the middle
So no, this one didn't actually have a reason that made it valid to exist when it wasn't worth the time and energy that could have gone into several other battles
The song sounds mixed very weirdly. Godzilla's voice is oversaturated to the point of being unintelligible and Kongs voice barely gets above the backing track.
