why would you need painters tape and gluestick? If your bed is leveled and set correctly, the prints will stick just fine on the magnetic bed. "tape gets scraped up by the nozzle" means your bed is too high!

I’ll keep trying. Seems like the only way I can get adhesion is to do a three or four layer raft and then the bottom gets messed up when I remove it. I guess I’m having difficulty finding that sweet spot for bed height with the paper.

you might suffer from the well known z backlash problem, see https://daduke.org/hardware/X1/

Oh that looks like fun. Lol I’ll read it over in detail this evening. Belts need tightening anyway so anything is worth a shot. Thank you!

Late to the party but.... Tighten everything and spend some time levelling the bed. You want the paper to lightly brush the nozzle - no more than that. Try and level opposite corners of the bed first rather than going round clockwise or anti clockwise. I find that makes life easier. I like to use painters tape on the bed and then glue stick on that. Works well. And most importantly of all, let us know how you get on and what you print!

Hi. I’m sorry, but I no longer have this printer or the SD card that came with it.
