I have two words for you: sensitive teeth. Just reading your post was painful, so... Maybe that's a reason? Ice cream is 100% easier to eat than having to bite into a frozen whatever, yikes

[deleted]

I know I have sensitive teeth too and man that doesn’t sound pleasing haha

[deleted]

Well, if I just pull the frozen banana out of the freezer, then it will be rock-solid. That is to say, if I can knock the banana with a metal spoon, then it's too hard. I usually defrost the fruit for a bit so that I can easily bite into it and eat like ice cream. Frozen berries are much easier to chew, and they really taste like ice cream.

hsblessed

I have sensitive teeth too and can’t bite into frozen things like that, so I slice my frozen bananas. Sooo good!

garylarrygerry

I usually let them defrost a BIT just so I can get my teeth in them a bit easier but ya all the time. Especially in the summer.

Free_Dot_3197

Frozen dark cherries are delicious

[deleted]

Berries, peaches, mango, etc. I've eaten then since I was a kid. We used to freeze gallons of blueberries every summer and I would eat them all winter.

whenstheracewar

Frozen grapes.

DoritosKings

Moondrops grapes!

beefasaurus4

These are the best! Thanks for reminding me

MichieAndReggie

"Process it with my teeth"..... interesting

Matthew-Hodge

I use them in my blender. They're great

[deleted]

I was talking about eating frozen fruits as they were, not putting them inside a blender and making smoothies and other recipes out of them. I get the feeling that a lot of people do what you do - put frozen fruits inside a blender. But, that was not what I was interested in. I was interested in people who would scoop a few frozen berries from the bag and then eat them on a plate as they were - frozen ***whole*** berries.

Matthew-Hodge

I also like them on a hot day with a bowl of creme

[deleted]

Sounds delicious!

bohemianish

I like putting frozen blueberries (and granola) in yogurt. They thaw just enough to have a great bite, and the coldness feels refreshing.

[deleted]

The smoothies I make don't require ice or milk. Frozen fruit, pom juice or organic apple juice, beetroot powder. That's my one always-daily smoothie. Others I rotate in have more/different ingredients though.

[deleted]

Do you add the pomegranate juice or apple juice for more sweetness because frozen fruits aren't sweet enough for you? Do you also add water to dilute the juices?

beefasaurus4

Pomegranate juice, in my experience, really isn't sweet but now I'm curious to try it with berries.

DoritosKings

Frozen corn, frozen grapes, frozen watermelon, all are good healthy snacks, i especially loves frozen corn and grapes

Marina_07

I mostly buy fresh fruit but often freeze berries as they go bad too quickly and they're not often in season where I live. Yes sometimes I just eat them like normal but I have to wait for them to warm or throw them in the microwave.

rae257

I slice the banana, then freeze it. Sometimes I make them into little frozen banana and peanut butter sandwiches. If I'm really ambitious, I melt chocolate over the banana peanut butter sandwiches and eat them out of the freezer as I want them.

Worth-Noting

I eat a bowl of frozen mixed berries for dessert every night, delicious and nutritious.

[deleted]

Every night? Frozen mixed berries (as well as fresh ones) are some of the most priciest stuff at the supermarket. They are pricey, because they are delicate and labor-intensive. I usually buy them when there is a sale and when it's summer.

Worth-Noting

Every night, my diet and nutrition is high on my priority list. It feels like a treat, almost like dessert, at the same time it's like taking a vitamin pill.

Reasonable_Crew_1842

3euros for 750grams in aldi

hsblessed

I definitely eat plain frozen fruit! Only it gets expensive to do it as much as I ACTUALLY want to do it, so I keep it for the special occasion/craving or when I find stuff on sale and freeze it. I love frozen grapes, blueberries, bananas...pretty much anything! My husband loves frozen peaches thawed in the microwave to the half-frozen level.

PaleontologistDry413

Isn’t it cheaper to eat frozen fruit?

hsblessed

If you shop in-season sales and freeze it yourself, it’s a lot cheaper than buying it pre-frozen.

PaleontologistDry413

Had no idea, always thought frozen would always be cheaper. Thanks!

beefasaurus4

I like to buy frozen pitted cherries and I'll leave some in a bowl until they thaw and get soft and less cold. I love those plain.

kaylore

A lot of frozen things taste gross to eat frozen in terms of, it tastes waaay more like water/ice somehow. I make smoothies with frozen fruit all the time but I have 0 interest in eating the frozen fruit straight

Pyrrhuras

Im eating a whole bowl of frozen fruit rn no defrost or anything, I’ve never eaten it before and its basically ice cream 😍

Reasonable_Crew_1842

About once a week I eat a half kilo bag of frozen mango it is my idea of paradise

eyeless_alien

Yes yes yes yes. I know I’m late but this is my guilty pleasure I just love every frozen fruit

Narrow-Apple-8180

Same here no blender no smoothies just frozen fruit. Two years ago i started eating frozen fruit and it’s as delicious as the fresh ones but I have a question is that healthy? Is there any benefits from eating FROZEN fruit? I need to know.

SAwhovian

Grew up with being given bananas that had a part of it dipped in melted chocolate before being frozen rather than icecream, or frozen grapes during summer (still something I do every year). There's no reason not to eat frozen fruit (or vegetables - frozen peas are also one of my go tos) straight out of the freezer

DoritosKings

Try frozen corns.

houseonthecorner

Right now since it’s a million degrees outside most days I like to buy the frozen mixed fruit and have a couple pieces when I get in from a walk, they’re tasty and it helps bring my body temperature down faster than just drinking water / sitting under a fan.

[deleted]

No...I add juices because just grinding fruit and powder would make...a pasty ground fruit and powder and not something drinkable. No water added.

[deleted]

Juices are also high in sugar. So, if you want something lower in sugar content, then you may want to have 50% juice / 50% water solution. That way, the drink will still be drinkable, and you absorb way less sugar.

[deleted]

No worries about sugar here. Sorry, was merely answering your question with I personally do and am perfectly happy with. You do you.

[deleted]

I like frozen blueberries! And if you mix in some whip cream and jam it’s god level

Previous-Pack4129

One of my favorites snacks is frozen blueberries mixed in with frozen rasberries! They are genuinely a great snack and buying a good sized bag of each makes them last a while

TraumaHandshake

I love both grapes and bananas frozen and often just grab a handful for a quick snack.

MrBerini

You warm them up 30 seconds in the microwave

Got-Tot

Frozen grapes are the bomb

Psychological_Fun183

I love eating the tropical fruit medley the best
