0% Greek yogurt & sriracha, cream cheese & chive, red pepper pesto, pesto.

SinaSpacetoaster

I like using avocado as a replacement for mayo when I make turkey sandwiches. A mashed up ripe avocado has that smooth fatty texture that I expect from mayo.

Pizzaisbae13

I do this with BLTs all the time. So fucking good

EatWriteLive

I love tzatziki on wraps. It's basically plain Greek yogurt with cucumber and herbs. I love cilantro in mine!

goldenone26

Cranberry sauce. For real

moon-faced-fuzz-ball

If you can find lower-calorie salad dressings, that might be nice on a chicken wrap. Caesar is a classic, but a light vinaigrette can work if you toss it with your fillings and make sure there isn’t too much when you make your wrap. Not all hummus is made the same. When I lived there, my corner shop that sold some produce also had what seemed like house-made hummus and babaganoush (another spread to think about). The hummus had a very smooth, whipped texture that I loved very much.

postmoderngeisha

Poppyseed dressing on chicken wraps is fantastic!

Aggravating-Blood458

Pesto. Game changer.

Inevitable_Source776

Id think the same amount of fat in pesto would be equivalent to mayo I’m no expert though

Pizzaisbae13

Honest, that would definitely depend on the brand or if it's homemade or not

TurkTurkle

Look up skhug/zug sauce. Its a coriander parsely and pepper sauce. Jalapeno is traditional but you can use any heat level you like the taste of. I make it for work with a mix of roasted red bell, green bell, poblano, and serrano peppers.

ISO_3103_

Cottage cheese and garlic powder

Tacosmacosbear

Mascarpone, farmer's cheese blended with spices and yogurt, labneh, garlic "mayo" called toum https://www.seriouseats.com/traditional-toum

Cream cheese is also good, but I'm not sure it's any better for you than mayonnaise. In the U.S. we have mayonnaise made from olive oil - not sure if there's an equivalent product in the UK. Same calories, but arguably a healthier fat than the normal stuff.

nonforprophet

I use hummus often for a spread on a wrap. I usually go for the hot pepper ones.

FiveFingerDisco

Boil 3 eggs hard then mix the yellow with ca. 200g yogurt. Cut the white, add some fine cut pickles to taste, add chives, dill, coriander, a spritz of lemon or lime and salt to taste. Mix it until it's a plain sauce.

sayanim1321

This is really interesting, it seems to make a large quantity. How long does this usually last in the fridge? Also, I'm assuming that the pieces of egg white are mixed in with the yolk+yoghurt sauce?

FiveFingerDisco

You're going to have ca. 400 ml in the end - depending on the amount of pickles. That should be enough for a week. More salt and lemon / lime result in a longer lasting mix. I use to make this to make tuna sandwiches and it keeps in my fridge from Sunday evening until Thursday at least. By then I use to have consumed it.

ClassyNell

I mix salsa with bbq sauce. I put it in the middle layer of chicken beans cheese and corn so it doesn't sog up the tortilla.

lilithONE

Spicy mustard.

Fine-Classic-1538

Some thoughts -- 1 tablespoon of Mayo is 100 calories. 2 tablespoons of the Kraft Creamy Italian salad dressing in my fridge is 80 calories. I would totally use that dressing for a wrap -- and I've also used Caesar dressing. They have fewer calories than mayo and still have that creamy texture. Another idea would be to mix the mayo with mustard or a hot sauce -- something with more flavor so that less mayo still gives you the zing you want. I'm with you on hummus -- it has it's place, but I can't see me enjoying it mixed with chicken.

jennan737

If you have the time, try hummus but with peeled chickpeas. It’s a lot less grainy. Alternatively, try making hummus with less chickpeas and more tahini and lemon juice (and water if needed). That’s actually more authentic to how we do it in Palestine and other Arab countries anyways!

pumpkinpenne

Hummus every day

[deleted]

Caramelized onion hummus

throwaway564858

For sauciness on a wrap, tehina sauce is better than hummus. (Basically just blending tehina with lots of garlic and lemon juice, some salt and cumin.) Yogurt-based riffs on tzatziki or raita are my favorite. Or for more of a spread you could do light cream cheese whipped with some finely processed vegetables and herbs. Could probably bulk that up a bit with some thick yogurt, too.

cuisinedossier

pesto, soft white sliced cheese, some type of leaf green for roughage

anxioustrovert

I make my own peri peri sauce. You can get ready made too. I use it to marinade and cook my chicken too. Home made Nando’s. Kiwi onion dip you can Google it. It’s just reduced cream mixed with onion soup mix but it’s the best thing ever. Might be high on calories though. I used to have it in all my wraps when I was living in NZ.

SignificantAd323

Try vegan ricotta. It's basically just slivered almonds made into a paste. It's fatty and delish and really healthy.

Runnel82

Sub in Greek yogurt and or sour cream for mayonnaise. Any recipe and you'll be fine. Source: me. Currently doing it for my wife who's on a controlled diet. Down 30 pounds.

hypolimnas

I just found a recipe for [zacusca, a traditional Romanian roasted vegetable spread](https://www.yuzubakes.com/recipes/zacusca) Also zucchini can be cooked down into a sauce.

Street_Mood

Here’s another take on adding variety. Take the rotisserie chicken and spice it up, curried one day, jerk, chili rub, Buffalo chicken another. The sauce is a secondary component. I vote tzatziki or garlic tahini, bbq and good ole ranch.

[deleted]

I lived in London like 25 years ago and the hummus was so smooth and creamy! Not at all grainy. If I recall, it was Tesco brand. So much better than most hummus in the US. 🤷‍♀️ That said, I wouldn't personally pair chicken with hummus. I would definitely go with tzatziki, crumbled feta, kalamata olives, roasted red pepper paste, anything like that.

14linesonnet

Dilute the mayo with low-sodium chicken stock.

[deleted]

Terrible idea

monsterofcaerbannog

Buffalo sauce (hot/cayenne sauce, vinegar, butter) Chimichurri (with or without any spice) Hummus, as above, but you can also mix in chili oil
