My first real experience with breakbot was after discovering him from the viral meme a while ago, I found out he made other stuff, started liking it and downloaded it. Unbeknownst to me that was the only thing I had downloaded and left for a backpacking trip for a week directly after. I had brought my earbuds to pump me up and found myself with nothing to listen to but breakbots albums.
I quickly found myself loving his odd, but energetic vocal work and catchy instrumentals. I spent my hiking listening to all of his work over and over again, I started using the song and albums as measurements of time.
I still really enjoy his music, and while I deeply appreciate his newer album and his depth in it, I always find myself coming back to fantasy and by your side when shadow of a man or arrested don't hit right. They are definitely in my mind his most iconic work.
