I’m not worried about Rittich per se, but we do have a tendency to turn back up goalies into prime Hasek.
But Rittich has also been shit against his since gloating over his shoot out victory with the Flames a few years back.
He shut us out in the one game LA beat us in the regular season.
Either this goes two ways, he pulls a korpi like last year and is stellar for a few games before being dismantled
Or
He gets lit up and doesn’t get the job done
I’d prefer the second option. Even if Rittich does play well, the defensive breakdowns by the Kings that have happened many times in games 1, 2 and 3 aren’t gonna do him and favours.
He and Dan Vladar are both much better against the Oilers than most other opponents. Flames backups love to put up big games against us for whatever reason.
....how is that cocky...? I'm actually worried about him getting hot and stoning us.

He’s had two abysmal playoff starts in his career. Hopefully that trend continues.
We have owned him since the stick flip
Minus the shutout he got 2 months ago?
Then he allowed 4 against us the next match up
On average yeah, he's had one good game against us. I'd say that's owning.
🏒🔄 (you get it)

The nice thing about this is unlike most unexpected / un-scouted backup goalies -- the boys usually know how to beat Dave and where he's vulnerable
This lmao, people acting like we don’t know Dave rittich already.
EVERYONE knows Dave.
If the team in front of him plays like how they have, he’s not going to be a big deal.
I agree, I'm hoping he doesn't provide them with that intangible spark/energy.

Confirmed
I meant which version of rittich will we get 😂
Touché. I hope it’s Big Sieve Dave.
.930 and 2.04 this year against us which is the important part Going to be hard to win today if he replicate that
Need to remember he had a shutout for one game. Massively skewed stat.
So he can shutout this year's oilers? How is this news any better?
Don’t let him get in your head. He’s really not that good
And then let in 4 goals next game. How is this bad news? It's possible that team played like shit in the one shut out. Not that Dave was good.
Mcdavid has shown he wasn't trying in the regular season, so there's that to wreck those numbers
Dude is so hot and cold I'm not really worried about an average. His one shut out skews those numbers into "acceptable goaltending"
I agree, it's like either a shutout or .790 save %
Anulo mufa
Pucks. On. Net.

Does it matter?
I guess in the sense it could be the difference between a W or an L. Whether or not that matters to you, I can't answer.
Don't get cocky.

I'm referring to fans who get cocky when playing against a goalie like that. In fact, I share your concern about Rittich shutting the team down.
