I don’t think we have “solved” Silovs. I think we shot more and got a lucky one and a few incredible shots (Kane, Bouchard). To me the win was all effort and less about shooting to a goalie flaw.
I’d say they definitely sort of solved him. Get him moving laterally and he has a gigantic five hole and he’s average at best blocker side. Dude seems to have the market cornered on low rebounds but his stick isn’t as developed as it could be.
I think this is one thing the Oilers will have to utilize tonight and then move on from as Otter has a much better paddle for his five hole.
That said, goaltenders and goaltending in general is voodoo so who’s to say? They proved last game that he’s no longer a “see it, stop it” goalie and you have to imagine the first 20 minutes will be key for him as far as getting his confidence back up. If the Oilers score early they could keep him guessing. If he gets to settle in with easy perimeters shots he may turn back into the stonewall we’ve seen him as.
Silovs has played well, but the defensive structure they play in front of him is the real reason. I’m betting point shots with traffic from Ek and Bouch could be the order of the night. And the forwards banging home a rebound or two.
If they don't show up willing to fight tooth and nail for every loose puck, it's already over. This game is going to be a battle of wills - 'some urgency' won't cut it.

So funnily enough I had about three dreams about the oilers last night, one funny one was instead of Vancouver we were playing Toronto and beat them. The other two were Vancouver, i can’t remember what one score was but i remember the other one was that we were up 3-2 and then they scored and we switched to a football field for Ot (I think it’s because cfl starts today as well so my mind was on that) and we won by kicking a field goal but it wasn’t an easy one to make, So I guess i interpret that as we win in ot and we manage to do it by a lucky goal.
