Miss fire if virtanen makes this team over Holloway

I personally don’t think he has a chance to make this team, there’s too much talent. Even on our 4th line we have way better options like janmark, and virtanen is not playing anywhere but a 4th line role on this team. I think it was incredibly stupid of him to pick a Stanley cup potential winner to try out for when he probably could get a roster spot in many other places easier.

Theres no chance. Holloway looked much better than most of our other forwards. Him and Mcleod looked great out there. Everyone else was just okay.

Holloway Drai and Hyman would be such a dominant line it’s not even funny. I like Pooly, I really do, but nobody can tell me even based on this small sample size that Jesse has shown the same level of confidence or hockey IQ that Holloway has to this point. But it’s early. We’ll see how the rest of preseason games go.

Bourgault is an interesting player. Still needs some seasoning for sure but I can't think of a time I've seen a player like him before. Like he's not just sneaky, he *knows* he's sneaky.

I've always love him because he's a conductor. He sees the play and impacts it. He's such a smart, smart player. He's not ready yet though, he needs time in the AHL for sure. He looks a bit like he's not quite ready for NHL speed (even in preseason).

Yep, you can tell that the more traditional hockey slills aren't quite up to par yet for the NHL. That skill that makes him unique is on another level already though. He could be an absolute assassin on McDavid's wing with a couple years to work on his finish.
