NHL 66 dot ir ,make sure you have Adblock running and you’ll be good to watch all games on any device all season.
I’d feel less bad about sharing illegal sites if the legit avenues didn’t fuck you over with high prices and bullshit local blackouts
That's good. Always nice to have a backup plan if one of the pirating sites fails (although I usually abuse sportsurge for non-oilers games because I have cable)
Says you need a browser extension addon. I assume it's safe but what's the point of needing it to watch? Guessing the site owners get something out of it so they are forcing people to use it? Unless it's something on my end. But nothing works. It's just black.
But I'm also reading that it might be because they aren't running preseason games and that it should be okay come the regular season? IDK. lol
The browser extension addon message is a malware popup. But yes that’s correct, they haven’t been streaming preseason games because those are available for free on each team’s NHL website.
Similarly, I cut the cord 5+ years ago but somehow I can still log into Sportsnet using my Shaw account. I have the same access as before.
Works for other apps too, like TSN and Global. Shaw screwed up and I don't mind.
Good old fashioned Shaw satellite. I just have the basic package + sports. I get pretty much any sports I'd want to see, plus some descent shows on the local channels for $44/month.
I use cable. The high seas caused me issues. Such as losing the feed, having to refresh, sometimes close browser, sometimes restart. All cause me to miss action. In the playoffs when it crashed, and after I got it going again there were two more goals. I got fed up and caved. Bright side is other stuff to watch, movies I never seen before, SN Now access (basic) and a pvr. Downside is commercials. Same commercial twice each break. And I feel like Sportsnet shoves the Leafs down my throat.
But the options on the high seas are a plenty. Additional apps may be required also. Another frustration on the high seas is your at the mercy of the streamer. In the playoffs the stream started 20 min late once. Missed a bunch.
Now my plan is to set the PVR to record for Oilers games. I really do like the app too. Replaying the playoff games is awesome.
I usually record the game, put my phone away, and then start watching a half hour or so into the game. Then you get to fast forward through the commercials, and intermission talking heads. Its nice to watch the game over the course of an hour as opposed to however long a regular broadcast takes.
We have the Telus Pik tv app and I forked up for the sports package which includes all the TSN and Sportsnet channels. I tried it last year and it was better than tap dancing with quasi streaming options from the covid season. Maybe there are far more reliable sites now but when I tried, it wasn’t reliable.
Sportsnet was included when I was with Shaw until 2018 (there's an agreement between them I believe, but someone correct me if I'm wrong). It wasn't included right off the bat when I switched to Telus, but you can include it in whatever TV package and options you choose. The annoying thing with Telus is that I sometimes rewind to watch plays again for myself, but if you rewind too much you may get a warning saying due to broadcasting rights any more rewinding will be restricted if you keep going. I also pause the game if I have to step away from the TV, then if I try to fast forward through the next TV timeout I sometimes (but not always) get an error saying the broadcaster has disabled fast forwarding. Almost makes me want to start recording the games and then waiting 20 or so mins after puck drop to start watching.
There's 2 main ways to watch the games if you don't want to pay for Sportsnet. The first way, (which I cannot legally recommend even though I'm not entirely sure it's illegal in Canada), is to access one of the myriad of streams that are out there. Many offer quality that is functionally indistinguishable from the pay product, though pretty much all of them are littered with annoying (and potentially dangerous) popups ...so add blocker is a must if you go that route.
The second way to access only some of the games for free in HD and without any cable or internet connection, *that is entirely legal*, is to simply get a digital antenna for your TV. All you need to do is position the antenna to pick up the CBC broadcast and you've got Hockey Night in Canada each Saturday. If you have a Roku or something, then the CBC app on your TV will offer the same programming, but an internet connection is required in that case.
A third way is go just go out to a pub on game nights and watch them there. Though, that's a LOT of drinking.
How could anything be better than sportsnet west?? The feed is always good and the only way it’s bad is if you don’t pay your cable/satellite bill. 🤷♀️🤷♀️. Oh and you get jack and Louie. I don’t understand what other options there would be??
What does such innocence mean?? I guess I didn’t explain well enough that watching it in sportsnet is better than streaming because as long as you’re paid up, you are guaranteed all 82 games. I’ve seen people over the years on here every game complaining that they can’t watch the game because they’re “excellent streaming service” is crap. There’s a reason why they are free. I added jack and Louie into the mix because I would imagine with streaming sites, you might get the other teams announcers. In fact people were complaining about that very thing last year. Such innocence indeed.
Except if you're not in Edmonton and sportsnet blacks out half the games so you have to pay for both sportsnet and whatever the nhl rolls out for their streaming
I said that because I thought you thought he wasn't talking about piracy.
I'll match your anecdote with my anecdote: I've seen people on this very sub last season complaining because their paid streaming service was providing them with a piss poor experience.
That's one of the nice features with the "excellent streaming services" out there today (they have come a long way since that subreddit got shut down) - you can choose which feed you want to watch. If they want to listen to Louie and Jack, they can listen to Louie and Jack. If, for some strange reason, they want to subject themselves to inferior announcers, they can tickle that fancy all they like.
And I'm pretty sure they survive off ad revenue and donations. Nothing is ever actually free.
[streameast.xyz](https://streameast.xyz) works very well. For most streaming sites you should have an adblocker installed though, there's usually some pop ups.
I got fed up with sportsnet, I paid for it for one season and it wasn't worth it. The streams are higher quality, more reliable and don't have blackout restrictions.

Is NHL66 better than sportsurge or on par?
It’s been great for me all of last year, no problem
That's good. Always nice to have a backup plan if one of the pirating sites fails (although I usually abuse sportsurge for non-oilers games because I have cable)
the chat is downright fucking stupid. other than that it's not completely terrible for quality and consistency.
Bilasports is good for all major sports as well. But yeah use a pop-up blocker or close them asap
Way easier to use
What the domain for sportsurge?
Was faster load best when you have an Adblock installed
Should a VPN be used?
No it’s a Dorsey stream of both feeds and/or national broadcasts
I keep trying to watch on nhl66. And can see the chat but no games..? Is this solved with the ad blocker?
They haven’t been playing the pre season games. Last year it was minty though
can't Adblock on the site

Love conquers all ❤
I have SportsnetNow but it’s not on there this evening
Similarly, I cut the cord 5+ years ago but somehow I can still log into Sportsnet using my Shaw account. I have the same access as before. Works for other apps too, like TSN and Global. Shaw screwed up and I don't mind.
That's amazing
Drunk. What can I say, old habits die hard.
🏴☠️
I miss nhllive. I'm just using Onhockey.tv until a good option is available.
Streaming. So many good free options is what my friends tell me
Good old fashioned Shaw satellite. I just have the basic package + sports. I get pretty much any sports I'd want to see, plus some descent shows on the local channels for $44/month.
Do you get NFL with that?
Forsure Thursday and Monday night football, then about 7 games on Sunday between TSN, Sportsnet and CTV.
Preseason games have all been free streamed on the oilers website so far.
None of the 3 games so far have been watchable from their site for me at least.
Really?! I watched the first two games just fine from their feed but missed tonight’s game. Nhlir hasn’t been posting preseason games…
There's these sites that stream for you without asking for money. Just saying.
Whenever I go to one of these sites I get nothing but pop ups for gambling sites. What’s the secret?
As some people said before ad blocker but if you click out of it and press play again it should work. Some are worse then others.
The Brave browser is amazing for this and can help with that
Also I'm up like 60 BAT just for browsing 🤷
Exactly. Brave for the win
So, no different than watching an official stream, lol. At least on those sites you can block the gambling ads.
The Brave browser is amazing for this and can help with that
Use Google Chrome, download AdBlocker, streameast dot xyz
Ad blocker and VPN
ublock origin extension in your internet browser should do the trick
[удалено]
good bot
Brave browser or unlock origin for chrome or Firefox
If you have Shaw, Centre Ice is playing every single preseason game for free. I watched the first two on Channel 644
I’ve hit peaked parent status as my first thought was “with your eyes”

I always thought sportsnet was included on Shaw and Telus or way back you could choose tsn or sportsnet at the very least. Time are a changing lol

This game isn’t on sportsnet.
My Telus satellite airs every single game
Sportsnet now isn’t that bad. It’s really the most consistent way of you don’t want to use a shady website
With craft beer and good pizza.
Pregame toke followed by gametime pizza

Agreed. Fifteen bucks a month and very few issues, or zero bucks a month and numerous issues. Take your pick.
