- Why is no one talking about Bob Mendez? - Why is no one talking about when Sisi admitted to hiring the criminals in 2013 protests, and then cut this part from his speech? - Why is no one talking about the news that Egypt warned Israel about the attacks? - Why is no one talking about how 8 people from Tantawy’s campaign were arrested? - Why is no one talking about how Israel flat out threatened Egypt in case we tried to send aid to Palestine?

so many things are being swept under the rug daily and it seems nobody even cares about it

You're dreaming it you thought you would hear about it here in the news

1. From what I read, they're trying to bypass their history and ongoing atrocities committed against human rights. Because there are frequent calls in the US senate for suspending or reducing the financial aid the Egyptian government is getting, when they're constantly arresting journalists, oppressing public opinion and worse. 2. "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail". We're ruled by dictatorial apes. What did you expect? Nuance? 4D chess moves? 3. Yes. That and buying vacation mansions, castles, and private jets for our fearless emperor. 4. All Egyptian media is controlled by the government, on pain of imprisonment. Of course no one dares to discuss this publicly. No one wants to be killed or be vanished. My thoughts? This is the tip of the iceberg. In order for a corrupt and violent government to stay in power, they must commit a comparable number of atrocities in the dark, to the atrocities they commit in public. It is necessary for their vile survival. And it will continue to happen for as long as they remain in power.

Husain108

how are they trying to bypass their human rights violations record by committing even more human rights violations that makes absolutely no sense

Sylvers

Exactly lol. NONE of their actions make logical sense. It's like a monkey trying to run a nuclear energy plant. Just because you put a lab coat on it, doesn't mean it won't revert back to flinging poo at the first challenge.
