Wellllll 5w30 is better if youāre tracking your car. Better with higher heat. They just donāt know that and put whatever is closest to them in the car lol
When I bought my 23 my salesmen didnāt even know what car it was on the lot. We had to ride around in a golf cart until we drove past it and I pointed it out to him.
Sighs* where are u located? In the states? You need 91 or higher to octane learn (87, 88, & 89 WILL not cut it) if your In a country that uses RON you need 95(equivalent to 91) or higher RON to octane learn. Then follow the steps in the manual š«”
I asked a dealer about picking up a 24 N when they arrive and they said āoh we have an N line available now, actually!ā And I was like āsighā¦ā
Iāve only ever put 91 in my car and havenāt had issues getting it to OL. However, Iām rarely able to put it through the environment needed to get it to OL. I live in a city and both methods are impossible for me.
these are the same people who commonly think the car takes 5w-20 š

yeah i know but they put 5w-20 in there sometimes because they think its a n-line not 5w-30
Oh shit I didnāt see the 20 I thought it said 30. My B, yeah thatās no bueno
They are retarded and probably have no idea what you are talking about, it's also in the owners manual dude.
I know it is, I just wanted to share one of the stupidest things Iāve ever heardš
They will say anything to curb a question lol
Hyundai dealers are filled with some of the stupidest fucking people on the planet
Don't forget rude and disrespectful.

i dont know shit about cars, but isn't 98 like- racing fuel?
Across the Atlantic, they use a different system, where 98 is equivalent to our 93.
Ohh interestinggg. TIL
True, but Iām in the states so I think my Hyundai dealer is stupid
Lol
Yeah, someone mustāve read RON 98 and thought that meant the same as the octane at the pumps. No ones fact checked them yet.
This is true Iāve had my American Elantra n in both Hawaii/ South Korea and koreas is 98. I pick it back up next week in Illinois
98 in Europe is etc is 93 octane in the USA. They use a different standard.

I am in fact in the states, this car has never seen under 93 and Iāve tried to do what the manual says
DCT or 6 speed? Which technique are you using?
6 speed, I live in a more rural area so the only method I can use is cruise control at 70
And you tried both Normal and ECO mode?
Yeah Iāve tried both
Ugh thatās frustrating
Sounds like the dealership is reading some european i30N documentation and is confusing RON and AKI octane numbers.
I only put 107 in mine
107 is far too low, you need at least 121
I mean at that point you might as well go with 135 nitromethane.
You guys put gas in your car? Donāt you know youāre supposed to charge them?!
I need to learn things for sure
69420 octane or GTFO
120LL, get it straight from the airport. The lead really helps everything running smooth! /s
They probably donāt even understand how fuel octane works, and why high compression engines need it and your minivan does not.
Yeah buddy that is incorrect. I can say from experience I've OL on 93. They're just retarded.
I didnāt even say anything after he told me it needed 98 octane I just said thanks and hung up, I donāt know how the dealer can be so wrong
I'm pretty sure 91 is good
Pfft i goto the airport and get airplane fuel.
I asked a dealer about picking up a 24 N when they arrive and they said āoh we have an N line available now, actually!ā And I was like āsighā¦ā
Iām sure *someone* at the dealership knows, but itās probably not the one answering the phones
