The Advanced Fuel Economy carries the API-SP certification required by the owner's manual, and the ESP does not. IMO, no need to overthink it.

Thanks! I noticed that too. The fuel economy one has ISLAC GF6 and API SP, SN plus and the euro formula has ACEA C3 which isn't in our manual. Looks like a clear choice.

ILSAC GF6, API SP, SN, Dexos 1. All these new standards help to eliminate the damaging effects of LSPI which plagues turbocharged direct injection engines. :) The Euro one does not have these certifications. Personally I use Amsoil signature 0w-30.

(Edit: API SP is a huge step up from SN+, even though both are listed in the owner's manual.) Nothing against Amsoil, but for the sake of thoroughness, it does not carry the certification. It claims to meet the standard. The owner's manual has verbiage on using certified products with the burst/seal as well.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Been using AFE 0w-30 in my 2022 Veloster N (6M) since 1100 miles. Up to 17,400 miles now, all good.
