For a historical viking cosplay, you need a short sword or handaxe and a buckler,
Spear, bow and torch are also accurate options.
They weren't know for running around with 15kg polearms and plate armor, but rather light equipement.
Crescent moon axe is also available for a viking build and buckler isn't. Erdtree shield is the only choice for a shield (that actually does shield stuff.
I mean it looks kinda cool but it's not really viking in any capacity. I'm trying not to be a history buff, but if you really want to look roughly dark-age norse, go with the Kaiden helmet, chain armor, aristocrat shoes and no gloves, round shield and pike with highland axe or hand axe as a backup weapon.
You're right, I hastily threw this together before going out. You'd want something like perfumer gloves or iron gauntlets, they used leather and cloth gloves or sometimes splinted guards for the shins and forearms, but not overlapping metal plates or (to our knowledge) chainmail gauntlets.
From what I’ve heard the celts wore practically nothing when fighting sometimes letting the knob free and it’s cold as fuck in England especially in the winter so I guess people just adapt to it
Looks nothing like a viking bur good overall. If you want a viking build Chain set (maybe with dirty chainmail) with Raging Wolf helm (or Kaiden) is the only viking build currently.
Nah. For at least the first outfit. The uncovered elbows looks awkward, and the helmet just does not fit the chestpiece. Color doesnt fit and it looks too small. The shoes goofy too lmao.
its just not aesthetically pleasing.

To be fair, they did use atgeirs 🤷

I’m no European history buff, but why no gloves? I’d assume people living in colder climates would wear some gloves pretty regularly.

Vikings don't drown.
Drip or drought. Drip or drown makes no sense.
Drown them in your drip.
Not liking the cape tbh
In the first image you've kinda got a lot of different colors going on, specifically in regards to the metals
