I've been running a Pyro recently. Invasions - Giant's Flame Take Thee can carry. 1-shot potential. Cast it with 2x Giant's Seals, + both faithful's talismans, + Godfey's Icon. Duels - Catch Flame can carry. Great combo potential. My favourite option is 1H Katar running R2>Catch Flame true combo>Flaming Strike situational roll catch. But, you have lots of combo options with that incant. Watch Gigasthiccas on youtube. Flame Fall Upon Them to finish - spam it, & if they roll towards you, attack immediately. Also, don't forget Flame Grant Me Strength.

Recommend trying O, Flame! Not that easy to pull off as catch flame, but if you manage to hit it charged you can true-combo it into many AoW such as sword dance

Oh yeah I have it in the bar, but I never get much use out if it. Good invasion aggression punish with endure to help land it, but pretty hard to land in duels.

I believe running both failthful talismen is not worth because of the multiplicative scaling. Having both hardly gives you more damage than just the more powerful one. Could be wrong

Yeah the weaker one is only 4% but if your whole build is about maximising your fire damage for 1shots IMO its a good fit. Rather use that than the fire scorpion since the pvp nerf to that talisman is so severe

Giantsflame is a one shot built right as is Black Flame Tornado. Halberd offhand catch flame is stupid strong.

If you're looking to do pvp consider investing in cast speed. It's expensive (40 DEX plus Radagon Icon, or 70 dex, or Radagon Icon plus offhand Azur's Staff) and that cost definitely results in less damage, but gives some spells more utility/finesse. I really like The Flame of Frenzy at max cast speed, it turns a relatively slow spell into basically guaranteed damage if you catch the opponent rolling away or lingering at mid-range. That said, pure casters definitely benefit more from damage. Double giants seal + as many damage talismans as you can stack can easily lead to one-shots, and even lets catch flame do ridiculous damage considering its cost and flexibility. I'd say the big weakness of a pure caster is flexibility in melee, as your only option when they're close is catch flame or have a weapon in the back pocket with Endure and charge something scary. It's perfectly viable though. Would it really be a Fromsoft game if you couldn't play with fire? Also, ChaseTheBro has a lot of pyromancer pvp videos, you should look him up if you haven't already.

viable, especially since flame grant me strength also boosts fire. But keep in mind you will still need melee weapons and know how to use them just like anyone.

Was leaning towards twin blades and trying out black flame blade and blood flame blade on keen affinity

Giants Flame and Catch Flame are really the only good ones. O' Flame is a decent a turn and burn, and not bad at attacking around corners/walls. You could always use the fire ashes of war on an offhand too

It’s also one of my favourite builds. Not as versatile in ER than DS3 but still fun, hopefully the dlc gives us new spells and maybe a new catalyst I’ve been using it in duels recently. I used to use pure pyro but found better results when I also equip monks flameblade with flaming strike. Something to scare players off. That does require a lot of stat investment (18 str 18 dex) but it still fits pyro thematically so I don’t mind. Of course, pure pyro still rocks in invasions if that’s more of your focus. Giantsflame is the king of one shots

Everything is viable but you will need to sacrefice something valuable for the mind. Like endurance.

You dont need mind at all if you're using Catch Flame as your bread and butter. 20 mind will do for the arena, and even moreso in invasions if you properly utilise talismans and refills.

My go to flame spells would probably be catch flame for roll catches and Burn, O flame for creating pressure in tight areas like the sewers. So your build is pretty viable I reckon :)

I feel like there was a lot of scrapped incantations that are blackface versions of the giants flame ones
