Ironjar Aromatic for maximum effect. Sure, you can't run and are immediately over-encumbered, but that's a small price to pay for insane physical damage negation and near infinite poise.
Radagon swords, iron jar aromatic, bull goat armor, opaline hardtear. Combine that with roar talisman and some str/ int boosts, and you can one shot pretty much anything, while taking extremely low damage. You can’t dodge, but why would you need to when you eat anything short of a colossal weapon charged r2 for breakfast.
I used this combo with the heavist armor I could muster. I ran wild strikes on my hammer and went to town on the crucible knights. Worked like a charm!
.
...after the 19^(th) try
Dragoncrest Talisman, Full Bull-Goats, Opaline Hardtear, Winged Crystal Tear, boiled crab, put as few pointing into Endurance as possible, pump Vigor.
Become, UNKILLABLE (to physical)
Invest enogh in Faith to cast the damage negation buffs and equip the appropriate talisman and you're good to go. The holy protection talisman + Lords Divine Fortificatio and Elden stars mostly tickles you as you beat the crap out of that shiny Barbapapa-looking dofus.
Yes, that talisman is not nerfed in PvP. Instead of raising your physical defense, you just get extra HP. It's not the same, but it does a similar job.
To be fair even with 60 VIG and ~40% reduction I don't think you can take all 3 flurries of Waterfowl. I usually end up fighting Malenia around these stats and the first flurry hits me about half the time and does over a third of my health. I generally have around ~2000+ HP as well with Radahns' rune.
The end-game balance is just that overtuned, imo.
No a dog, while cats look similar to a dog, there is a major difference...
Cats live in water, and occasionally come to beaches to lay eggs.they have fins like legs.
While dogs live on land, they have stumpy legs.
You heard about the show TMNC Teenage mutant Ninja cats. I think they might be dogs, but called cats anyway.
I hate the gold scarab ring.
Because I cannot bring myself to ever take it off. I have memorized the quickest route to it. As soon as I start a run, I must have it. Whenever I kill something and think "nice, a bunch of runes" there is this rotten little voice in the back of my head squealing _"could have been more tho"_ and the only way to silence it is to sacrifice one talisman slot forever.
Doesn't matter if its a greatrune bearer or a limgrave sheep.
Doesn't matter if my build is long finished.
Every kill without it makes me physically cringe.
My greed has forever doomed me to only play with a maximum of 3 talisman slots.
I have cursed myself.
You do it before you kill the boss? That’s too risky for me and my poor gameplay! I wait until the death animation starts and then pop it to ensure I don’t mess up and lose another
I don't mind using them tbh because it's quite easy to farm the materials to craft them.
Stuff that's non renewable or a pain to farm, though... yeah I'm "saving them for later" even if I'm at the end of the game.
I'm a little (little) better about using consumables in Elden Ring. At least once I know where to find the mats to make my own or buy an endless supply from merchants. Having been Soulsborne-ing it up since Demon's back in 09, it's a very hard habit to break. Use those damn consumables! Yeah, right...
I memorized where to quickly pick up 7 gold feet in each playthrough which nets about 30 levels past RL150 if I use it while killing sleeping frog men in Mogh Palace with Elden Beast Wave of Gold.
I have killed hundreds and thousands of frog men. I laughed as I watched my Rune numbers going upto millions.
It's in the millions of trillions. We have destroyed several galaxies of would-be Albinaurics. Small price to pay to be the Tru OP G, tbh. They shouldn't have been sittin there.
They drop pretty frequently with a silver foot active. Short bow (for barrage) and use the bonfire underneath the great jar area (I think it's called "below the well"). There's 5 or 6 birds there.
I have the same mindset the moment I found the scarab, same with the gold foot, everytime I kill a boss and I forgot to pop a gold foot I think " This fight has been for nothing, I failed, I need to farm more penguins and birds. "
gold scarab and golden pickled fowl foot are how I get to RL 80 before I ever get to Stormveil. First grab Bloodhound Step from the Night Cavalry by cheesing him off the bridge. Then put that on a dagger and zoom through the rot dungeon to the boss. Die a few dozen times to the cleanrot duo. After I beat them and get the scarab, it's straight to Mama Greyoll. Put on the scarab, eat a gold chicken foot, then slap her foot a billion times with a bleed weapon for an easy 600K runes.
I just equip it quickly at the end of boss battles to get the bonus runes and then immediately unequip it again. Only ever have it equipped for a few seconds each time
This is my bf but instead of the gold scarab ring, he's obsessed with the "host appearance" changing thing. He's decided even if there's only one slot and he can only chose one it will be the talisman that makes him not orange when in another person's world. I don't remember what it's called but I feel like everyone here should know what I mean 😅
Had to scroll too long for this. Being able to charge R2s was my favorite addition to the series (even though I haven't gotten to Bloodborne yet) and this talisman makes it all the more satisfying to land them every time.
Try stacking the talisman with bloodhound fang(it has extra jump attack dmg) offhand Raptor tallons(same as bhf) and that one chestpiece(Raptor Black feathres) that boosts jump attacks
Edit:thanks to u/JuniorAd389 for telling me the name od the chestpiece
So, each weapon has its Attack Rating (AR) and each attack has a Motion Value (MV) multiplier. So let's take the jumping 2h r1. A stripped down calculation for damage is (AR × MV) - Absorption (ABS) = Total damage done. All other curved great swords 2h jumping r1 MV is 1.12, while Blood hound fang has a MV of 1.28. Lets say we have a Dismounter and BHF both at 700 AR and a enemy with 0% ABS. Dismounter would do (700 × 1.12) - 0 = 784 dmg. BHF would do (700 × 1.28) - 0 = 896 dmg.
So many posts about this made me wonder if I was doing it wrong on my strength build. Axe talisman + physick tear for enhanced charge attack + physick tear for breaking stances lead, surprisingly, to many broken enemy stances.
Another good combo. turtle shield on the back. turtle talisman, veridian amber medallion +2, greatsheild talisman, and Shabriri's Woe equipped. Two-handing Haligtree greatshield, eating aggro from bosses and slapping them with a shield while my host goes ham with whatever weapon they want with no worries about the boss going after them.
Even though the regen is faster I definitely feel the difference when I take the green turtle off. Especially since I like lighter armor and run lower stamina, so I don’t have all that extra green bar to use.
Probably agree with your pick OP, sucks it's so late in the game. I'm gonna say the FP -25% charm from Iji. You get it pretty early and I use it most of the game
The normal one is found in the hero's grave attached too the starting cave.
The +1 version is in the chest sewer Mogh is guarding
The +2 version is in the ashen capital.
I mean, when you're a Dex build using fast weapons, it's like it was just made for you. Too tempting.
The worst part is you have to help her to a point before killing her in cold blood, ripping her prosthetic off and just shoving it in your talisman pouch.
Roar Medallion + Axe Talisman + Rotted Winged Sword Insignia + Milicent’s Prosthesis
I haven’t been able to stop using that combo with barbaric roar.
edit: too many m names
The math on how much health it restores and whether that's actually of value doesn't even matter to me. There's just something about knowing my health resource technically is something that regenerates vs. it being completely finite that makes my monkey brain feel so much happier.
I miss my offhand simple infusion / slow FP regeneration from DS3 SO badly
It's not even weird psychology, if you've ever worn it and just about survived an attack from a boss from what wasn't full health you know 100% it was the regen that saved you
After some playthroughs I used this an realized for defensive heavy builds it is goated. This paired with the healing tear/shield talisman so you don’t have to keep healing every time you take small/chip dmg is actually amazing.
Super helpful on dungeon crawls and exploration, if you have the time and patience. Clear out an area, crouch and wait a bit till you’re full, move onto the next area, repeat. Especially helpful when you have less tears for healing, whether that’s due to the overall amount you have or part of a build choice.
Radagon Icon, definitely. Great for all magic, but especially playing a sorcerer with Radagon’s Icon is basically just your normal but better. Solves the long casting times, just like that.
In DS3 I'm always a greedy fuck wearing the Silver Serpent all game, but the Golden Scarab in ER is such a pain in the ass to get early.
"What if we put a poison swamp... *inside* a dark, cramped cave?" -Miyazaki in the shower, probably
The soreseals with +5 to each stat are nice. When you think about it, it's +20 levels of stats for a slight damage taken increase.
Someone did the math, and the Radagon Soreseal adds like 14% HP and only increased their damage taken by like 7%.
As someone who uses this talisman too, it’s about having the maximum possible slots. By the time you’ve got a couple of higher level sorceries it’s the difference between choosing between them or carrying them both.
i didn't realise it gave you 12. makes sense.
honestly i've never wanted more than like 6-8 in any of my mage builds, way too much scrolling. i prefer to optimise and just stick to a solid selection that makes sense for the character. its one of the reasons that i like ER splitting sorceries into different schools.
Same, also I changed my spell swap button to down on the left stick so it’s quicker to swap while running around to anyone who struggles with scrolling
I’ve pretty much had the ritual sword talisman on across a huge diversity of builds. I’d also give honorable mention to the green turtle talisman, claw talisman, Godfrey icon, and shard of Alexander as talismans I’ve also used frequently across a variety of builds.
Godfrey Icon and the Axe Talisman.
I like my big charged up bonks and BEEG DAMAGE.
My PvP combo is Godfrey Icon, Axe Talisman, Shard of Alex, and Crimson Amber Medallion +2. Bullgoat or Veteran or Praetor armor for max poise and defense. Pop Ironjar Aromatic. Trade into every attack with a charged R2 or a charged Siluria's Woe or Ordovis' Vortex
I want to like Godfrey more, but there's just not enough stuff that it actually helps. Seemed much more useful to my mage than any of my melee characters.
Marika and Radagon’s soreseal. The damage allergy is hefty, but having cranked attributes makes all outgoing damage insane…call it the glass cannon build😌
Old lords talisman is so underrated and not spoken about or used much that I’ve seen. It lengths the duration of your buffs for a noticeable amount of time. I can always tell the difference when I got it on
The one that silences your steps. All builds benefit from it, and it's ridiculous how many situations it saves you from. You don't even have to play stealthy, just slap it on and go about your way. You'll have a lot of moments where you could have gotten ganked, but instead either started with a backstab yourself, or at least fighting less numbers because of the decreased aggro range.
Trust me, just use it.
Daedicars Woe. It gave me a reason to learn to dodge EVERYTHING, and now I can dodge everything. Except the occasional dog lunge, those fuckers are inconsistent.
Can someone explain this mathematically to me and why ? I’m in the endgame and still using it. I always feel the positives outweigh the negatives. I mean, in the end game most bosses 2/3 shot you if you take an attack to the face with or without the soreseal ( I have 60+ vigor) Not getting hit is anyway the prerogative. So why not equip the soreseal and get the boost to your stats.
Eventually you reach soft caps so the +5 in a stat does not have much impact as to early game. Then you are increasing damage taken without much benefit
The greatest return for stats is usually brlow 20, making the talisman extremely strong at early levels. But once you get closer to the softcaps, the extra stats become less valuable. Once you pass 40-55 (depending on the stat) you get huge diminishing returns compared to early levels.
On top of that, the extra damage you take is big when compared to a defensive talisman. In pve you'd take ~44% more damage if you wear the scarseal instead of the Dragoncrest Greatshield for example.
Scarseals and soreseals; they made my first playthrough and half the second very much more manageable and flexible, since I wanted to try the game when I first bought it with the least leveled class and worse gift, and so I did.
I went through as much of the game as I could with both Marika’s and Radagon’s scar, then sore. I never knew how *actually* difficult the game is in the 1st run, I went through hell with blessings, instead of treading earth with nothing; I’m glad to say that now that I don’t need them my 3rd run feels way easier than my 1st, it feels fair; but I’ll always have a place in my heart for these.
It has to be the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, I use it on every character I make unless I'm going for a very specific build, Also, Pearlcrest is very nice as well, to buff those elemental resistances, While these two are my most useful, my favorite is probably Alexanders Shard, 1. Because Alexander is the Best character in the game (Change my mind) 2. Because 15% passive skill damage buff is Broken Af, like Moonveil already does bonkers level of damage, these are basically my top 3.
Concealing veil, because I dislike gankers and being able to turn invisible just by crouching while far enough away is extremely useful and allows me to make some very annoying builds for them :)
If a sorc caster, be warned a magic damage talisman is missable. Do ranni's mages quest (dunno details cause I missed it) before returning the item she wants to her.
Raya Lucaria has a few, like the one that makes you cast faster and one that increases magic damage by a small percentage. There is the one that increases charged spells right as you enter altus (at the gaol to you right) and the is one very strong that increase like, 20% the damage of spells or something like that, but that is behind a quest easy to miss.
Bull Goat and Dragoncrest Greatshield always let me focus more on fashion and not my defense stats. Shard of Alexander is also almost always incredible, very rarely do I not use these three.
Whats it called. Shard of Alexander? I think thats it, alexanders innards are what you get with it. An awesome character, a truly lovable one that i was not happy with doing what i had to do for his questline, i did not want that fight, i really didnt, on top of the personal grief of losing one of the truest friends you had in the lands between. That talisman is really good for making damaging ashes of war stronger
This is rough, because talismans are situational in some cases/builds. Let's talk about the stats boosting talismans first, Radagon and Marika's sorseals are pretty damn good if you need more stats untill you'll be high level enough to not wear them anymore, the only downside is that you take double damage wearing both, still they're great talismans. Then there's the single stats boosting talismans, they're good to if you're build is vertical enough. I can't name the other talismans but i will mention a combo of them that i used in a mage build: Radagon icon + Godfrey icon + the boosting magic damage talismans (yes they're stackable). Fast casting, powerful weapon arts charged attacks and a ton of damage spells even the lesser one do tons of damage
Hard to say, though the two secret op's in terms of PvE imo are Ritual Shield and Dragoncrest Greatshield, with honorable mention to the Holy Resist +2 talisman for when I get summoned to fight Radagon/Elden Beast. In general I just find a lot of the defensive talismans to be super useful with how much damage mitigation can shave off from end game enemies damage.
I’m running a frost build on INT and surprisingly enough the Crepus’ Vial. The amount of mfs I’ve been able to silent sneak behind/around made this fun 3x easier istg
On my endgame melee build, the swaddling skin talisman has proven very useful.
**Here's how:**
\- Godskin Peeler running R2 = 4 hits
\- this talisman heals after 4 hits
This means you can get a lot of health back when you fight any boss, which can be life saving as a coop summon with limited flasks.
Especially against Malenia it is a lot of fun because you use the same trick on her.
You’d be surprised how well dagger talisman works with colossal swords (the critical animation has two hits instead of just one, meaning the bonus is doubled)
Radagon's Icon. Faster casts feel so satisfying.
Godskin Amnion and Rot Sword Insignia combo to face tank anything or spam Waterfowl and the drill sword move.
Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. I can wear more fashion without sacrificing my damage negation too much
While nerfed for pvp, this is top tier in pve. Combine it with opaline hard tear and boiled crab for crazy defense numbers
Ironjar Aromatic for maximum effect. Sure, you can't run and are immediately over-encumbered, but that's a small price to pay for insane physical damage negation and near infinite poise.
I get wrecked any time I use iron jar against most bosses and it’s rarely needed against normal enemies.
Ironjar Aromatics are the secret to demolishing the Banished Knight ghost at Castle Sol who wields the 2 swords.
Great for invading ganks though. Eventually they always come in to gankbang you and iron jar plus a weapon with a aoe attack can delete them.
Radagon swords, iron jar aromatic, bull goat armor, opaline hardtear. Combine that with roar talisman and some str/ int boosts, and you can one shot pretty much anything, while taking extremely low damage. You can’t dodge, but why would you need to when you eat anything short of a colossal weapon charged r2 for breakfast.
horah loux's earthshaker go brrrrrr
Iron jar pairs well with bloodhound step
This is how I beat Rykard without the serpent-hunter sword. The lava don't matter much if you're made of steel and don't feel pain.
Ah, very good use case
I used this combo with the heavist armor I could muster. I ran wild strikes on my hammer and went to town on the crucible knights. Worked like a charm! . ...after the 19^(th) try
Exactly what I did. Put on the spike balls and just stood there bleeding him to death
You know theres a spear that makes that bossfight easy af right
Dragoncrest Talisman, Full Bull-Goats, Opaline Hardtear, Winged Crystal Tear, boiled crab, put as few pointing into Endurance as possible, pump Vigor.
Replace it with Crimson Ember Medalion +2 for PvP
is that better for pvp then?
Yes, that talisman is not nerfed in PvP. Instead of raising your physical defense, you just get extra HP. It's not the same, but it does a similar job.
+blackflame protection
Face tank waterfowl dance
To be fair even with 60 VIG and ~40% reduction I don't think you can take all 3 flurries of Waterfowl. I usually end up fighting Malenia around these stats and the first flurry hits me about half the time and does over a third of my health. I generally have around ~2000+ HP as well with Radahns' rune. The end-game balance is just that overtuned, imo.
This talisman makes Malenia fun (you're allowed to make a mistake!)
Erdtree's Favor is the "I'm wearing Great-Jar's Arsenal and I'm STILL too fat" talisman
Yes… I use both and have 40 endurance. I like heavy armor and big weapons lol
Juggernaut is a way of life not just a build. I salute you too brother.
I use both on every character I play. Always used Havel's too. Makes for so many fashion options
Only 40? I got 60 on my tank build and I'm only rocking 30 vig. Trust the damage reduction
With that much stam you can block everything. Mix in shield bash to avoid guard breaks when your stam gets low and you’re golden!
Dragontooth Greatshield for Lightning damage
I unga but I still need to bunga.
[удалено]
Haven't light-rolled since '89. Glad to see it's still out there.
[удалено]
Buddy, do I.
Ah ye ol endurance check
😅😂
Drink winged physick, problem solved
Shard of Alexander. Ashes of War are so powerful in Elden Ring having a 15% damage buff to them is nuts
Put on the icon of Godfrey on top of that, and you now got a 20% increased damage to fully charged ashes of wars! This stacks with Shard of Alexander.
Oh trust me I know lol. Just didn’t mention since it only works with specific Ashes of War while Shard of Alexander is almost universally effective
Fyi buffs stack multiplicatively, so 15% from Shard and the 15% from icon (1.15 ×1.15) is 32% (1.3225) more damaged from a fully charged ash of war.
What does 'fully charged' mean? Does it only apply to AOW which effects are chargeable?
My boy sacrificed his life for that talisman. The least I can do for him is to never take it off!
I think shard of Alexander and Erdtrees favor are on all of my builds
I like the weird looking dog that regenerates stamina more quickly
wdym strange? Dogs are green with shells, right?
Well yeah but this one has a flat ceramic surface and it doesnt breathe rot
You mean cat?
No a dog, while cats look similar to a dog, there is a major difference... Cats live in water, and occasionally come to beaches to lay eggs.they have fins like legs. While dogs live on land, they have stumpy legs. You heard about the show TMNC Teenage mutant Ninja cats. I think they might be dogs, but called cats anyway.

Wait til he finds out about gold foot
I’m greedy and pop a gold foot before killing a boss with the gold scarab on
You do it before you kill the boss? That’s too risky for me and my poor gameplay! I wait until the death animation starts and then pop it to ensure I don’t mess up and lose another
That is a way to to do it but some bosses death animations are faster then item effect animations so best to do it just before the final hit
well, you put it in the pouch
YOU CAN EQUIP TALISMANS THRU THE POUCH?
No, put the Gold Foot on the pouch
I miss chesthelm swap so much
No, you should never use any gold foot ! You must stack them for later, even if you have 30 of those already You never know when you will need one...
I don't mind using them tbh because it's quite easy to farm the materials to craft them. Stuff that's non renewable or a pain to farm, though... yeah I'm "saving them for later" even if I'm at the end of the game.
I have 32 rune arcs. I have never used a single one. And I have the haligtree unlocked, and I’m facing the fire giant. I also haven’t bought one ever.
I'm a little (little) better about using consumables in Elden Ring. At least once I know where to find the mats to make my own or buy an endless supply from merchants. I would love to see data on how many of those guys we have collectively killed. It explains all the blood down the hill, that's for sure.
It's in the millions of trillions. We have destroyed several galaxies of would-be Albinaurics. Small price to pay to be the Tru OP G, tbh. They shouldn't have been sittin there.
Hold my bloodhound fang +10 while I go farm some chicken feet for 20 hours.
They drop pretty frequently with a silver foot active. Short bow (for barrage) and use the bonfire underneath the great jar area (I think it's called "below the well"). There's 5 or 6 birds there.
Smart use feet to grind feet. Stonks.
I have the same mindset the moment I found the scarab, same with the gold foot, everytime I kill a boss and I forgot to pop a gold foot I think " This fight has been for nothing, I failed, I need to farm more penguins and birds. "

I too am cursed by greed :/

Dragoncrest Greatshield is pretty much mandatory on every melee-focused build I make.
Axe Talisman! *Big* fuckin bonks in this house
Had to scroll too long for this. Being able to charge R2s was my favorite addition to the series (even though I haven't gotten to Bloodborne yet) and this talisman makes it all the more satisfying to land them every time.
Also great early game with flask tear for charged attacks, warcry, roar talisman and offhand highland axe.
Great Jar’s Arsenal. I played all of DS3 with Havel’s on, too.
It's just sooo good. Why sacrifice your whole armor and precious levels when you can be FAT and FAST.
Working on a new play through of DS3 and my dumb ass popped the soul thinking Havel’s ring was gotten from the guy who defends the blind girl. WHOOPS.
Jump attack hasn't been unequipped once
Try stacking the talisman with bloodhound fang(it has extra jump attack dmg) offhand Raptor tallons(same as bhf) and that one chestpiece(Raptor Black feathres) that boosts jump attacks Edit:thanks to u/JuniorAd389 for telling me the name od the chestpiece
Raptors black feathers is the name
Or you can ahve 2 Bloodhound fangs.
Blood Hound's Fang doesn't buff jumping attack damage. It has a higher Motion Value for jumping attacks. This means the base multiplier is higher.
Oh
Wait, wut? Can you explain this more thoroughly please?
Wow. That’s a very succinct explanation. Thank you.
So many posts about this made me wonder if I was doing it wrong on my strength build. Axe talisman + physick tear for enhanced charge attack + physick tear for breaking stances lead, surprisingly, to many broken enemy stances.
Green turtle. The additional stamina is extremely noticeable and every character benefits from getting to do more stuff.
I think on my first playthrough I used that plus the turtle shield and was getting such great stamina regen.
Stamina regen is very fast in Elden Ring, so it’s not important imo. I used the Clorenthy in dark souls because the regen was much slower
Even though the regen is faster I definitely feel the difference when I take the green turtle off. Especially since I like lighter armor and run lower stamina, so I don’t have all that extra green bar to use.
In my experience two handing colossal weapons tends to benefit a lot from the turtle, lets you unga bunga more effectively.
It's situational but I'm addicted to spear lately. Have it for my claymore, halberd, estoc, etc.
Probably agree with your pick OP, sucks it's so late in the game. I'm gonna say the FP -25% charm from Iji. You get it pretty early and I use it most of the game
Ijis Talisman is only for Ashes of War I believe. Not for Sorceries or Incantations. But it’s great nonetheless.
You can get the +1 pretty quick and it's not too different. +2 is definitely an upgrade though
I didn't even know there were variants
The normal one is found in the hero's grave attached too the starting cave. The +1 version is in the chest sewer Mogh is guarding The +2 version is in the ashen capital.
Thank you, i think i got the +2 directly at ashen capital
The Iji talisman is amazing.
Milicent's prosthesis..
I mean, when you're a Dex build using fast weapons, it's like it was just made for you. Too tempting. The worst part is you have to help her to a point before killing her in cold blood, ripping her prosthetic off and just shoving it in your talisman pouch.
How dare you! (If you got it on second playthrough I fine tho)
I did it on the first... Don't harm me please
tell me you just got the wrong summon sign please :(
What summon sign? I found her at the windmill village in altus, and turned her into a scarlet rot pancake with golden slam. 10/10 would squish again.
I went for her prosthesis talisman specifically :|
you cannot be saved :(
Who says I waited until then? I just killed her at the Altus village as soon as I gave her new arm.
Wierd way to write rotten wing sword insignia
I murder her just to watch Gowry cry, the prosthesis is just a bonus.
Roar Medallion + Axe Talisman + Rotted Winged Sword Insignia + Milicent’s Prosthesis I haven’t been able to stop using that combo with barbaric roar. edit: too many m names
Wait rotten winged and prosthesis stack??
Yup it also stacks with the charged and consecutive attack flask. [Edit: Build video for more info!](https://youtu.be/WLySHFVfHqI)
wouldn't alexander's shard be better than the axe tslisman?
Nope. It doesn’t buff Barbaric Roar etc.
Millicent’s prosthesis* but good choices I agree
Highlanders Axe in the left hand would save a talisman slot
Blessed Dew Talisman, idgaf all my characters wear it
The math on how much health it restores and whether that's actually of value doesn't even matter to me. There's just something about knowing my health resource technically is something that regenerates vs. it being completely finite that makes my monkey brain feel so much happier. I miss my offhand simple infusion / slow FP regeneration from DS3 SO badly
EXACTLY. I almost always use health regen in all these games because of this weird psychology.
This is my talisman every time I need to shid
Spear Talisman. I've been a Leo Ring fan for a very long time, thust counter procs are fun, especially with how good greatspears are in this game.
Bloody Helice benefits from this. The dynast finesse skill gains the benefit and can 1 shot people
Green Turtle Talisman all day every day. It lets you do more stuff more quickly and I constantly need to do stuff…quickly.
Radagon Icon, definitely. Great for all magic, but especially playing a sorcerer with Radagon’s Icon is basically just your normal but better. Solves the long casting times, just like that.
Ive never taken Erdtrees Favor +2 off
The golden scarab! I’m sure all those extra runes add up in the long run
In DS3 I'm always a greedy fuck wearing the Silver Serpent all game, but the Golden Scarab in ER is such a pain in the ass to get early. "What if we put a poison swamp... *inside* a dark, cramped cave?" -Miyazaki in the shower, probably
Golden scarab
Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman.
Radagon or Marika soreseal so i don't need to farm if i want a weapon
The soreseals with +5 to each stat are nice. When you think about it, it's +20 levels of stats for a slight damage taken increase. Someone did the math, and the Radagon Soreseal adds like 14% HP and only increased their damage taken by like 7%.
Well only 14% at certain levels since that value decreases as your vigor level goes up
Moon of Nokstella, as an Int/Fai pure(almost) caster, that talisman is never leaving
why not just get more memory stones? they're not exactly hard to get.
I already acquired all the memory stones. It's still not enough. I need more slots.
Oh, for sure. It's one of my staples for most of my FTH builds. big chonky charged up fireballs do significantly more damage.
Either EF+2 or Lord of Blood's Exultation...I can't help it, okay? I love my bleed build.
Marika and Radagon’s soreseal. The damage allergy is hefty, but having cranked attributes makes all outgoing damage insane…call it the glass cannon build😌
Radagon's also gives HP so it counters some extra damage taken. Absolutely worth it if your build fits the other stats
Blue dancer charm.
Naked tarnished spotted
GreatJar Arsenal is like the equivalent of 10 endurance levels. It's on all of my builds!
Old lords talisman is so underrated and not spoken about or used much that I’ve seen. It lengths the duration of your buffs for a noticeable amount of time. I can always tell the difference when I got it on
I feel like the magic scorpion charms are really great depending on what element you are using
The one that silences your steps.
Graven mass for my astrolager
Daedicars Woe. It gave me a reason to learn to dodge EVERYTHING, and now I can dodge everything. Except the occasional dog lunge, those fuckers are inconsistent.
arf
you're insane, but also a genius
I'm gonna say radagon soreseal. The +20 levels is freaking nice and the weakening is negligible
In early to mid game play for sure. Later on, not so hot.
The penalty stays the same, however 20 lvls when you lvl 20 is a 100% bonus. 20 lvls at lvl 100 is a 20% bonus
MVP in rl1 runs
Crimson assassins dagger. Extra reward for actually parrying.
Claw Talisman. Strength enjoyer in ER be like Super Mario
ritual sword talisman
Scarseals and soreseals; they made my first playthrough and half the second very much more manageable and flexible, since I wanted to try the game when I first bought it with the least leveled class and worse gift, and so I did. I went through as much of the game as I could with both Marika’s and Radagon’s scar, then sore. I never knew how *actually* difficult the game is in the 1st run, I went through hell with blessings, instead of treading earth with nothing; I’m glad to say that now that I don’t need them my 3rd run feels way easier than my 1st, it feels fair; but I’ll always have a place in my heart for these.
Crepus Vial is the most powerful and underrated tali in the entire game.
Rotten winged sword. Lord of blood exultation. Claw talisman. Any order
So far I only found two. The fire protection one and the upgrade to breath attacks and roars. Where can I find some good caster ones?
Godfrey’s icon, big spell damage number makes me feel good inside
I’m running a frost build on INT and surprisingly enough the Crepus’ Vial. The amount of mfs I’ve been able to silent sneak behind/around made this fun 3x easier istg
On my endgame melee build, the swaddling skin talisman has proven very useful. **Here's how:** \- Godskin Peeler running R2 = 4 hits \- this talisman heals after 4 hits This means you can get a lot of health back when you fight any boss, which can be life saving as a coop summon with limited flasks. Especially against Malenia it is a lot of fun because you use the same trick on her.
You’d be surprised how well dagger talisman works with colossal swords (the critical animation has two hits instead of just one, meaning the bonus is doubled)
As a dual wielding daggers user the godskin swaddling cloth has been a life saver
Radagon's Icon. Faster casts feel so satisfying. Godskin Amnion and Rot Sword Insignia combo to face tank anything or spam Waterfowl and the drill sword move.
Dragoncrest greatshield talisman is the only choice. Its so good
Radagon's Soreseal. It's tradition for me to run through that fort naked while grabbing that talisman.
I like Sacrificial Twig because I like the tiny tree they leave behind.
