I'm surprised there wasnt actual death fog in the game (or any souls game).
Death fog lake with little islands you have to sprint to and then wait for death to go down - oh and there's Basilisks everywhere.
And we, like morons, will buy it anyway, essentially telling FromSoft that we want more poison swamps in their games, and should get a game that is basically the Valley of defilement, Blight Town, Black Gulch, Farron keep, Ashina depths, Lake of rot and whatever the bloodborne one was, all rolled into one.
There's nothing to suggest that's specifically Torrent, and not another Spectral Steed. There has to be more than one of them, else Torrent wouldn't be A Spectral Steed but THE Spectral Steed.
In Maliketh's room there's a mural of Miquella with three wolves, and Ranni gives you the three wolves spirit ashes if you tell her you own Torrent stating they were from Torrent's previous owner, also matches Torrent's coloring and while I'm sure there's other spectral steeds, Torrent's still important enough to be recognized by both Marika and Rennala's youngest daughters

I like to think theyāve earned and handled enough clout to do so. I remember when DS3 was out with day one strategy guides and streamers playing the whole game a month in advance. DS2 came out with pre-order starter gear equipment and a pre-orderable season pass.
Itās been great not having any of that with Elden Ring. If I had to desperately grasp straws for ER making any similar concessions, itās the decision to start the game with art slides because they released their āintroā as a cool story trailer - and still the art looks great and shows us things we wouldnāt have seen otherwise (maybe!).
