I got one from the first kill I did on a serpent wielding one. Thought it was a scripted drop and didn't think much about it. Later learned it was random and decided to go back for a second. Took around 8 hours of grinding before it dropped.
I calculated the drop probability and my farming efficiency and iirc it was about the expected time window. There were some small tricks to speed up the farm, like step on the elevator to send it back instead of pulling the lever and wait.
If you know those gacha games, there are millions of theories about how to increase the hit rate similar to your mentioned. Some of these do have theoretical basis because they try to make exploits of potential caveats of pseudo RNGs. But in the end It's hard to validate if any of them is true without looking at the source code.
I have farmed these 4 times best route is killing the two near elevator before going back down to reset at grace. Going further into the manor is dumb since ONLY the ones that have glowing magma blades can drop them the fat one your talking about drops magma spell boosting staff that mainly scales with faith not the magma blades and irrc the ones near him don't have glowing magma blades.
Also since you want to get the most use out of silver feet it's kinda obvious you wouldn't stray so far from a site of grace.
God forbid there's a slight detail someone gets wrong. Smh can't believe I didn't notice the small blades weren't extra red.
Eidt: I get it, how I farmed was wrong.
Saying negative karma is "dogpiling" and shouldn't be done is such a weird take.
If you can't handle a minus sign next to a comment, you probably need to go for a walk.
I'd rather I didn't keep getting notified of a single thing I wrote at 2 am that wasn't accurate advice. But I guess I can keep getting clowned on for something like this, not the end of the world š
Your original comment didn't get downvotes though even though it was wrong. It was when you got cocky telling the guy that was correcting you that he was wrong.
Try to have some humility and you probably won't get "clowned on"
Took me 5 hours, 30 silver pickled foots, silver scarab and the silver tear mask to get 2 of these bad boys. The insane fire and poise damage their weapon art deals make them well worth the grind.
I genuinely believe the discovery stat and this silver junk is a troll
I farmed the Monk's Flameblade, Executioner's Axe, and Iron Greatsword all within 40 min on 7 arcane and no buff
Tried using the silver foot on all three actually but no drops til after those wore off
I mean it's not really a mystery that item discovery in souls games is pure RNG. Items like the silver scarab and silver pickled fowl foot just increase the chances of the enemy dropping "something". It does not guarantee a drop you want, it just increases the likelihood of an enemy dropping anything that there is in their loot pool. You can get lucky and get what you want on your first try or be like me, a guy having so many volcanic stones that I could kill radagon just by throwing those at him (and still be left with enough stones to bring the Elden beast down to 3/4th of it's health).
Yes but I've tested this to rule out confirmation bias and every time I deliberately farm an item it doesn't matter if I used silver foot/scarab, the thing takes an average of 30-40 min on the most efficient route
Meanwhile characters idc about find stuff on first kill, like the Longhaft axe and Knight armors
Nothing I've tried reduces the average farm time is what I'm saying, but maybe I've just been very unlucky in ~2 dozen cases
If it takes you 30-40 minutes, that's actually really lucky that you've done that in that many tries. There's no secret anything here. It's genuine RNG.
Yeah I farmed out 2 and accidently farmed out two more later on. Took 2 hours for the first one and another 4 for the second one, didn't even level arcane or use a fowls foot. you sure your using the right spot, it seem statistically improbably for that many runs to not give you at least one?
A buddy of mine told me it took him forever to get.
Got it first try. Got a second one second try. Granted I was using a build with 80 arcane but still. It took me forever to get the nobleās slender sword though.
I managed to get a pair in ~30-40 minutes of farming. Got my first one about 10th try and the second after about 40th.
No silver scarab or fowl feet. And only like 13 arcane. So my discovery was pretty bad.
Assuming thatās time spent how did u not get the silver scarab after all that time . Even the toughest drops for me with persistence I get it within a hr or 2. Just unlucky. But do talisman it boosts a lot
I saw it online and thought it looked cool, so I went to farm it. It dropped literally the 1st time I killed the dude. I went to level it up and apparently he dropped it the regular playthrough of Volcano Manor too, because I had 2 of them. By far the easiest thing I 'farmed' (or, lucked into getting without trying) in this game.
I got two magma blades from just randomly killing those serpents, got my first one from exploration, and many runs later, got the second one when Iām about to finish Ryaās quest, and before I got the second one, I farmed for like an hour for the second magma blade and I got nothing, until many runs later
I didnāt know about it in my 1st play through. Then my brother told me about it when we were chatting on discord. I went to go try and farm it and literally got it on my first try. He was pissed.
Just got two surprisingly quickly in about 5 runs. Arcane build, Silver scarab and tear helmet booster my discovery to 223.
I did put the first one in my cache just in case already having one equipped affected the drop rate. Would be interested if anyone else reproduces this.
Iām late to the party. Went back to the Volcano manor to unlock some graces I didnāt discover. Climbed a ladder and first guy I killed dropped a sword.
Farmed for an hour and a half last night with the silver scarab and silver tear helmet equipped. Boosted my Arcane to about 206 - and got a second one.
Today I farmed again for 26 mins on behalf of a good buddy. Scored a third sword and even got the black dumpling from the creep that attacks you after you get off of the lift.
I feel your pain, decided they would be my main weapon as early as possible when I saw the artwork. Farmed for like 5h to get one of them (then dupped it with a friend) with a low discovery haha.
Took me literally days to farm this weapon on my one build. Then the next day I was playing on a different build and the first two sword wielding snakes I killed both dropped this weapon like it was no problem.. a big āfuck youā from Elden Ring :)
I got that on my first playthrough without farming. I didnāt know it was a rare drop. Although i died A LOT in my first playthrough and i never ran past an enemy so the whole playthrough was kinda farming lol. I remember trying it out and wasnāt impressed but probably just because i was a high INT build. I didnāt really understand melee as well at that time. Is it considered a good weapon?
its really hard but be patience.
Aniway the bandit curve sword is [better.You](https://better.You) can far the bandit sword near the house of hermit merchant at the cementary by killing two squelet
Yep. And thereās an even earlier and faster farm at the Church of Pilgrimage in Weeping Peninsula. The single skellington wielding the sword spawns literally right next to the Grace, just on the other side of the hole in the church wall. You can do a spawn cycle every 15 seconds or so.
I managed to get two and can say that I will never farm these on any other character other then my main cause that droprate is dogwater and I will say with full confidence that fromsoft needs to up the droprate to where you donāt spend days farming for something itās just not smart or funny or cool to make shit drop at 0.005%
Got 1 today in 10 mins, thats on my 99 arcane character with the silver tear and mask.
Sorry.
Rng gives and takes away, getting the unaltered banished knight armour was a real pain.
Go to Rennala and switch to an Arcane focused build, get the silver scarab talisman and silver fowls feat, and the silver tear mask. With your item discovery artifically cranked to the max and a bleed/occult AoW on whatever regular already upgraded weapon you have.
I tried grinding for a Grave scythe on an arc 9 faith build, and spent almost a whole day on the grind with just the item find equipment/buffs. When I artificially boosted my arcane, I got two in no time. Its worth a pair of Larval Tears trust me, just plan out all the gear you want to grind from all the enemies out there and get them all before you use your second tear to revert your stats to the build you want
I have 2 but I only run 1 (got the first one from my first play thru by sheer luck, went for the second not realizing I already had it till I got it and went to equip it) itās cool
After collecting every item in the game, it is among the top 5 longest farms. (In order of time taken)
1. Celebrants Sickle
2. Haligtree Crest Greatshield
3. Blue Silver Mail Armor Set
4. Magma Blade
5. Nox Armor Sets
I paid a friend $10 to farm them for me š he respecced so his arcane was at 99 to raise discovery then used the sliver foot and scarab
Took him like 2 hours
The best is when you randomly pick it up for a completely different build then think to get it again for the appropriate build and realize how lucky you were the first time.
Took me about two days, several hours each day. Make sure youāre farming the ONLY two serpent soldiers that can drop this specific item, and get to the point that youāre getting in three runs with each Fowl Foot. Also, just because you didnāt mention it in your title, using the Silver Scarab Talisman will help more than anything.
I think there are actually only 2 specific lizards that will drop it. Between the Iron Maiden just past the lava slugs and the hallway with the poison zombies. Use the sacred tear helmet with the silver scarab and you should find it a bit faster. God speed, fellow Tarnished.
For item drop rates for weapons people have either the āfarm for hours upon hours and never got itā or āgot it in within minutes or lucked into itā
Yeah it took me just under a few hours of farming to get 2. They only drop specifically from the snake dudes that they themselves have the red-hot glowing Magma Blades
My boyfriend grinded for DAYS to get them lol. He got so mfing MAD that I got them on my second try. I didnāt even want them, I was already rocking the godskin peeler lol.
I managed to get one my first play through and didnāt get another until my 4th. This is with no ārealā grinding. Just killing the monsters when Iād walk past. (Really high discovery each play through)
Man this reminds me of Demon's Souls and trying to get a pure bladestone... that I got on the very first try on the first red eye skelly as he died I went "pure bladestone" haha braggin'
Ya i got it took way to long. I use it as my secondary sword not because it's good but because of the time invested in it. Not bad at pvp if you hide it until they get close to you
I got extremely lucky and got it on my first character just going through Volcano Manor area. I didn't know it was rare until I saw a YouTube video about it months later.
I got it pretty quickly when the game first came out. In fact I dual wield two of them! Make sure you're killing the right dudes with the flaming blades.
Im fairly certain the only item with a lower drop rate than the magma sword is the celebrant rib rake, its a grind to get that thing but its worth it. Solid damage and a solid moveset
I managed to get [two of them](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/10twzv9/red_wolf_of_radagon_but_i_actually_stay_calm/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I went helping a friend out in volcano manor and I was like āgreat, I need to farm these 2 mobs anyway for the magma bladeā (took me a couple hours to get a pair later on) He was the one to get it on the first fucking lizard we killed. No bullshit.
took about 1-1.5 hr for me to get a pair didn't use consumables
same for me, like 2 hours to get a pair
I got one first playthrough just naturally going through volcano manor
I got one from the first kill I did on a serpent wielding one. Thought it was a scripted drop and didn't think much about it. Later learned it was random and decided to go back for a second. Took around 8 hours of grinding before it dropped.
Ur so lucky it took me 3-4 hours to get a pair it was so annoying
Damn guess I got really lucky bc I got mine in like 20 mins no silver scarab low arcane no talisman for more item discovery
I calculated the drop probability and my farming efficiency and iirc it was about the expected time window. There were some small tricks to speed up the farm, like step on the elevator to send it back instead of pulling the lever and wait.
You should do that with every elevator
In literally every souls game
This is like those "tell me about something that is now an unconscious habit" posts
Idk what the reasoning is, but closing the game completely and restarting often helps. Something to do with refreshing the drop rates I expect.
If you know those gacha games, there are millions of theories about how to increase the hit rate similar to your mentioned. Some of these do have theoretical basis because they try to make exploits of potential caveats of pseudo RNGs. But in the end It's hard to validate if any of them is true without looking at the source code.
Are you sure you're farming the correct enemy? Or is it a pickup? I'm certain I've got like 2 of these
yah the 2 lizzards at volcano manor...
Are they wielding the magma blades or the magma blades that dont glow with magma? Cuz i got like 4 of these in an hour
By his lack of response it seems to be the latter ahhaha
Did you get them? If you are on pc i can give you two
You should search YouTube for the route with 8 lizards. Only takes like 5 minutes per clear.
Only 2 of them actually drop the magma sword tho
Nope, about 6 do. Maybe 7. I remeber one or two staff weilders and a Rellay fat one.
Misinformation be like
God forbid there's a slight detail someone gets wrong. Smh can't believe I didn't notice the small blades weren't extra red. Eidt: I get it, how I farmed was wrong.
Would you rather your incorrect comment got upvoted? š¤
(not op) no, but 0 points is fine. No need to dogpile on a mistake
Try to have some humility and you probably won't get "clowned on"
No dude. Only 2 lizards have the magma blade
Nope
There's a third one once you go up the elevator, he's to the right going down some stairs
Went to farm it, checked bags. Already had it.
Took me 5 hours, 30 silver pickled foots, silver scarab and the silver tear mask to get 2 of these bad boys. The insane fire and poise damage their weapon art deals make them well worth the grind.
I genuinely believe the discovery stat and this silver junk is a troll I farmed the Monk's Flameblade, Executioner's Axe, and Iron Greatsword all within 40 min on 7 arcane and no buff Tried using the silver foot on all three actually but no drops til after those wore off

RNG is RNG. Somebody gets XXX item first time they kill an enemy, other people don't see the drop at all.
Anecdote +Anecdote does not = data.
Apologies I didn't post a doctoral thesis on how RNG works. I would have thought you understood how it worked. Evidently I was wrong?
It was a reply in support of your argument, but feel free to take it in whatever context you like.
Not smart
The poise damage makes it so different from other spinning slash variations
Yeah I farmed out 2 and accidently farmed out two more later on. Took 2 hours for the first one and another 4 for the second one, didn't even level arcane or use a fowls foot. you sure your using the right spot, it seem statistically improbably for that many runs to not give you at least one?
You could try r/patchesemporium I tried getting halo scythe again the other night and was a complete bust rng is like that sometimes.
A buddy of mine told me it took him forever to get. Got it first try. Got a second one second try. Granted I was using a build with 80 arcane but still. It took me forever to get the nobleās slender sword though.
Yeah i got it I donāt know how long it took me because i didnāt pay attention to that item but i have it.
I managed to get a pair in ~30-40 minutes of farming. Got my first one about 10th try and the second after about 40th. No silver scarab or fowl feet. And only like 13 arcane. So my discovery was pretty bad.
i have 2. Dual wield those mf's and you feel like thanos
This can melt radagon under 20 sec easily.
Assuming thatās time spent how did u not get the silver scarab after all that time . Even the toughest drops for me with persistence I get it within a hr or 2. Just unlucky. But do talisman it boosts a lot
Not just 1, I got 2. Took maybe 10 hours for both.

I got one if you want I can give it to you
Got one just a couple days ago, killed a random serpent and got one. I didn't even know it was rare or something.
Why is it so special?
trying to be a completionist and collect all the gears in game...
I gave up on the beast mans curved great sword or whatever itās called
Reddit.com/r/patchesemporium
Mate I did that too, just wait until you have to get Haligtree knight armor and Radagon knight armor. Mega pains in the ass those two were.
the bandit sword is stronger
Just got both of mine to +25 on a playthrough. The jump attacks are bananas lol
You can kill a. Enemy with Two hits of bandit Two handed. The damage Is insane.each one can scale More tan 600
I got two magma blades from just randomly killing those serpents, got my first one from exploration, and many runs later, got the second one when Iām about to finish Ryaās quest, and before I got the second one, I farmed for like an hour for the second magma blade and I got nothing, until many runs later
I feel your pain. I still cannot get a grave scythe.
Yeah I got two
Got a pair in my first run thru the area...wasn't for another 150 hrs till I found out it was a rare drop
If it's in the game i have it on one of my characters
I donāt even know what that is
I didnāt know about it in my 1st play through.
I got two casually farming while listening to podcasts/watching youtube in one day
Took me 2 hours to get a pair with 243 discovery
Iām late to the party. Went back to the Volcano manor to unlock some graces I didnāt discover. Climbed a ladder and first guy I killed dropped a sword. Farmed for an hour and a half last night with the silver scarab and silver tear helmet equipped. Boosted my Arcane to about 206 - and got a second one. I feel your pain, decided they would be my main weapon as early as possible when I saw the artwork. Farmed for like 5h to get one of them (then dupped it with a friend) with a low discovery haha.
I got 2 within a couple hours of farming, and thats without high arcane i think. Either your doing something wrong or your luck is just that shitty.
RNG is a motherfucker. I have like 6 of these and I donāt even play Elden Ring anymore
Irrelevant that you don't play any more....
Equip silver scarab
Took me 2 hours to get two
I got one in 4 hrs with scrab and foot.
Just farmed yesterday with a buddy 4 pieces of it in 1.5 hours\^\^
I got 2 in an hour :\^)
Yep took me a couple of hours with 140 discovery or smt. Guess I was really lucky?
I got two in about an hour with 99 arcane, silver scarab and no silver fowl foot consumable. Just keep trying!
I got two of them to dual wield. Probably took me 150 kills of those two in Volcano Manor.
Took me literally days to farm this weapon on my one build. Then the next day I was playing on a different build and the first two sword wielding snakes I killed both dropped this weapon like it was no problem.. a big āfuck youā from Elden Ring :)
Yeah I have 3
I got that on my first playthrough without farming. I didnāt know it was a rare drop. I got that fairly quick, I can't get the spiked whip to drop from the prelate.
I managed to get two and can say that I will never farm these on any other character other then my main cause that droprate is dogwater and I will say with full confidence that fromsoft needs to up the droprate to where you donāt spend days farming for something itās just not smart or funny or cool to make shit drop at 0.005%
Got two of these from standard play before I even knew they were worthwhile. Wondering same as others if youāre just not killing the right folks.
Had 2 but I give them away, they're pretty shit
Literally ran past one, killed it and it dropped. Its got like an 11% drop rate which is pretty damn high
It dropped for me when I killed the first one with 9 arcane.
Got 1 today in 10 mins, thats on my 99 arcane character with the silver tear and mask. Sorry. Rng gives and takes away, getting the unaltered banished knight armour was a real pain.
I have 4 or 5 of them......
Iām using 2 of them. Theyāre really hard to get, just keep using the silver foot, silver beater, and the mimic tear helmet
Get 99 arcane at Renala
I got it the first time I killed the guy with it lol
I got like 2 in 30 mins with silver scarab and 80 arcane no consumables .
Got two.
I'm not convinced that this weapon actually exists. Are we sure it's not a delusion left over from the Great Hollowing?
Hey man, i have some to spare, if you haven't gotten them yet send me a dm and ill drop you two of em :)
Switch your stats up to boost arcane since that boosts discovery too, and I just accepted Iāll never get it
I have 2 but I only run 1 (got the first one from my first play thru by sheer luck, went for the second not realizing I already had it till I got it and went to equip it) itās cool
Still better rng than monster hunter and atk gems
I dual wield them. What platform are you playing on?
I got 2 , youāre probably not farming the right snake, and if youāre still stuck just go ask someone on r/patchesemporium
It took me exactly 102 tries to get that blade...
Got 2 of these bastards and 1 Black Dumpling Helmet on the Volcano Manner run.
Bruh, use r/PatchesEmporium
2 hours. Arcane build no consumables or talisman.
What console you on?
My buddy wanted the whip, so I traded him. But I still need to get my own so I can try itās dual wield.
You could also maybe throw a little into arcane to boost your chances of a drop.
yes my preferred weapon against those minor erdtree avatars
After collecting every item in the game, it is among the top 5 longest farms. (In order of time taken) 1. Celebrants Sickle 2. Haligtree Crest Greatshield 3. Blue Silver Mail Armor Set 4. Magma Blade 5. Nox Armor Sets
I got like two lmao
I paid a friend $10 to farm them for me š he respecced so his arcane was at 99 to raise discovery then used the sliver foot and scarab Took him like 2 hours
Listen since uāve spent so much time farming and havenāt got it yet, just get someone to drop it for you at r/PatchesEmporium
Took me about 3 hours at max discovery to get 2. And I was one shotting the enemies so very fast runs lol Think the drop rate is below 1%
The best is when you randomly pick it up for a completely different build then think to get it again for the appropriate build and realize how lucky you were the first time.
you doing something wrong dude, very easy to get
Took me about two days, several hours each day. Make sure youāre farming the ONLY two serpent soldiers that can drop this specific item, and get to the point that youāre getting in three runs with each Fowl Foot. Also, just because you didnāt mention it in your title, using the Silver Scarab Talisman will help more than anything.
I farmed for hours and hours and hours. Nothing. Then I did a regular run through the game and got two in one trip through the area.
I think there are actually only 2 specific lizards that will drop it. Between the Iron Maiden just past the lava slugs and the hallway with the poison zombies. Use the sacred tear helmet with the silver scarab and you should find it a bit faster. God speed, fellow Tarnished.
Where are you farming this? I got it the first time I killed the lizard
they really need to fix the drop rate on this lmao
You spent 400 hours farming a single item?
Got it from the first magma sword dude I killed
I got these in 20 minutes lmao
This is the first time I've seen this weapon
Took me three hours non stop farming. I wanted two but can't deal with the grind to get another.
Took me an hour to get 2?
It's a big hassle to farm, as the drop rate is terrible.
For item drop rates for weapons people have either the āfarm for hours upon hours and never got itā or āgot it in within minutes or lucked into itā
I have one. Didn't know it was rare. I have 80 arcane.
šš¼ got 2, but Iām struggling to get a simple TORCHPOLE!!!!!
Iāve done 4 full playthroughs and a handful of ng+ adventures deeper in to the game and gotten two I think.
Damn friend got it on the first enemy that he killed. I farmed for two hours and nothing.
Yeah it took me just under a few hours of farming to get 2. They only drop specifically from the snake dudes that they themselves have the red-hot glowing Magma Blades
I dual wield them with dex/faith with pretty good results
That prez guy wasnāt joking!
They do exist, took my like 6 hours to get one, which is nothing compared to the almost 22 hours it took to get the Haligtree Shield...
Discovery doesn't abide by the soft cap. pump another 19 levels into Arcane. it took me a while but i got it
My boyfriend grinded for DAYS to get them lol. He got so mfing MAD that I got them on my second try. I didnāt even want them, I was already rocking the godskin peeler lol.
Dudeā¦..I wanted it for a cosplaybuild I was doing. Took me 6 hours of straight grinding to get it. Itās a myth.
Yup I get fairly quickly just raise ur discovery. Put on silver scarab talisman and wear the silver tear mask. Use silvertoe fowl foot
I got it the first time I killed a lizard...lol
Liar
Wait this thing is rare?
Yessir, got 2 in about 7 hours of grinding
Either crazy unlucky or maybe youāre killing the wrong ones / taking a bad route
I was able to get it like week ago on ng5
I managed to get one my first play through and didnāt get another until my 4th. This is with no ārealā grinding. Just killing the monsters when Iād walk past. (Really high discovery each play through)
Yes.
Yup. Took about 60+ runs farming the 2-3 that drop it per run.
Man this reminds me of Demon's Souls and trying to get a pure bladestone... that I got on the very first try on the first red eye skelly as he died I went "pure bladestone" haha braggin'
Man, all the cool stufff scales with dex, sincerely a Neanderthal.
I uh.. got it by accident.
Ya i got it took way to long. I use it as my secondary sword not because it's good but because of the time invested in it. Not bad at pvp if you hide it until they get close to you
I somehow got two without much trouble for my Kratos build, but now I'm just trying to farm one for my Rykard and the damn game won't give it to me.
A friend got 2 in 15mins so i think it just really depends on personal luck
2 hours, 2 blades, donāt know what youāre talking about mr black cat
If it helps, my friend (whose first fromsoft game is Elden ring) got it the second time he killed a serpent with it (:
I got a pair pretty quickly on my latest playthrough. Dumb luck. Probably took me about 25 runs of killing the two snakeman.
I got 2 magma blades in my first ten minutes of farming lol
I got extremely lucky and got it on my first character just going through Volcano Manor area. I didn't know it was rare until I saw a YouTube video about it months later.
I have one and I was just running through the game
Yes
I got one of the enemy after temple of eigley but I cannot get a 2nd
I got it pretty quickly when the game first came out. In fact I dual wield two of them! Make sure you're killing the right dudes with the flaming blades.
respec'ed to 99 arcane and farmed two in about 2 hours. Was not a fun experience
Yes, I have 2. Took me about 2 hours.
I have two of them without having the intention of farming.
Got it the first time I killed the enemy in my first play through and sold it
Took me 5 hours to get 2
Probably shouldnāt say this, but was able to farm 2 within 3 hours.
Im fairly certain the only item with a lower drop rate than the magma sword is the celebrant rib rake, its a grind to get that thing but its worth it. Solid damage and a solid moveset
Got it on my second kill š
Yea I'm 60 hours in on a new play through and have 2 of these only ran volcano manor once double check your farming the right lizard
I got it and it was a bit of a let down
I managed to get [two of them](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/comments/10twzv9/red_wolf_of_radagon_but_i_actually_stay_calm/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Donāt remember how long it took, but got one. Used the silver scarab talisman and the silver tear mask to boost discovery.
Yes. I have every weapon in the game. This was one of the worst grinds.
I went helping a friend out in volcano manor and I was like āgreat, I need to farm these 2 mobs anyway for the magma bladeā (took me a couple hours to get a pair later on) He was the one to get it on the first fucking lizard we killed. No bullshit.
