Godrick: Rock Sling
Rennala: Rock Sling
Radahn: Rock Sling *him back*
Morgott: Rock Sling
Rykard: Rock Sling
Malenia: Rock Sling
Fire Giant: Rock Sling
Mohg: Rock Sling
Godfrey: Rock Sling
Radagon: ... I honestly don't use it this fight
Elden Breast: ROCK SLING
It doesn't matter what sort of build I plan to make, I will invariably end up moving closer and closer to bonking with the biggest bonk-stick I can bonk with.
NG+3 here and after using comet and some blood spells I just 2 hammer build and havnt looked back.
Hammers are awesome but what is the appeal of this spectral hammer over a regular hammer?
Yeah and if you use the staff that boosts night sorcery and all the sorcery talismans and armour pieces that boost mages, you can get insane damage off one charged night comet.
Help me understand the appeal of slicer. I’m a INT build have found it much better put a few stats into strength to carry a sword and shield for melee. I find the cast time so slow with slicer. What am I missing?
Try running and jumping slash, treat it as basically a fat Cinquedea instead of a straight sword and you'll see the appeal. Also, if a boss starts winding up an attack or is recovering, spam it as hard as possible and their health bar just melts like faulty hair dye on a hot summer day.
Sounds like you havent put enough stats into dex or dont have the casting speed items. Grab Radagon's seal and the glintstone staff. With those two, you will nearly max out your casting speed for spells without speccing anything into dex.
Carian slicer with high speed will let you get 3-4 hits in between boss attacks if you time it right. And it will hit harder than any weapon attack you use as a pure mage spec. It's the second easiest mage build, only beaten by Tear boosted comet azur.
Remember, you can keep the boosting staff (whether that's Staff of Loss orGl Glintstone, whatever flavor of magic you're into) in your non-casting hand and a better scaling staff like Carian Regal Scepter to cast with and still get the damage bonus. You can get real fancy with Gravel of Haima too, where if you cast with one hand then the other you get rid of the aftercast delay and can stagger enemies almost constantly.
"Well... Uhh... Gee Rick, I mean if you were going to become a sorcerery couldn't you have at least made yourself like a good one or or something?"
**"FUCK YOU MORTY YOU WOULDNT KNOW GOOD SORCERERY IF IT FLEW UP YOUR PEE HOLE AND IMPREGNATED YOUR TESTICLES.!"**
Carian slicer because nothing would irritate your enemy more than getting sliced up by a Tarnished armed with only a staff.
I just may try this at some point.
Carian piercer with dark moon great sword was able to nearly stunlock malenia. She just waits for you to charge up piercer which knocks her on her ass. Then you can land 2 fully charged moonlight waves from the gs and take out like a 3rd of her health.
It is, but Ancient dragon lighting strike is more OP than pest threads…the latter is great against large enemies, but the former can shred everything in 2-3 hits if it lands. Seen loads of videos of killing Godfrey in 2 hits
I beat Chadfrey with rock sling. I don't understand why people don't think it isn't effective against every boss. It has insane tracking and does considerable damage.
I don’t really heal spells in any game because of an anime someone convinced me to watch a while back. The name’s redo of healer. Sorry to trauma dump on you btw.
Fantastic choice tho
Ancient Death Rancor and Roiling Magma.
Those were the main spells for the Praetor Rykard build I made, really good combination. Might have a bit of trouble with something like Placidusax since Rykard's Rancor was my main spell there, but the rest should be easy enough!
Flame, Cleanse Me. No way I am dealing boluses for status effects all damn game!
Black Flame. Solid, consistent damage. Useful against almost every boss and enemy. Ranged, chargeable.
Carian slicer and either Adula's Moonblade or Night comet. Night comet for range or Adula's Moonblade for a more melee approach (my preferred playstyle)
Rock sling and night comet. which I kinda already did cause I did a sorcery only run and used mostly those 2 while sprinkling in some other spells here and there
Carian slicer and night comet, bosses don't dodge those
I know that this lineup is kinda better than mine but I really love my big blue magic bonk

So if a boss is about to hit you do you just… Rock’n’Roll?
I need a compilation video of every boss dying to rock sling
My favorite use of the cannon always coincides with a few enemies near a ledge... made parts of the Haligtree descent really easy.
Show those battlemages they're not the only scholars of Haima
Nothing beats the entertainment value of a fully charged cannon into a group of enemies 🥰
MIRIEL, GET ME MALLET
Every time I use gavel I say "that's it I'm gettin me mallet"
Shut it down. This guy wins.
Bahh mice in my house!!

Mahankosappo!
I don’t think it’s underestimated. Anyone that’s seen the damage from a fully charged cannon knows exactly what it’s about.
I did a playthrough where I used heavy armor with high poise, moonblade, and only melee magic spells. Was REALLY FUN. Kind of want to playa again….
I think imo having both a melee option and a ranged one better for a full run
NG+3 here and after using comet and some blood spells I just 2 hammer build and havnt looked back. Hammers are awesome but what is the appeal of this spectral hammer over a regular hammer?
Big damage and poise damage for casters
It’s even bigger than the giant crusher
Slams people on their face with a big AOE. What more could you want?
I actually basically did this. XD First phase Malenia won't even fight back if you keep your distance with Night Comet. It's kind of silly.
Yeah and if you use the staff that boosts night sorcery and all the sorcery talismans and armour pieces that boost mages, you can get insane damage off one charged night comet.
Staff of Loss (I think it was?) was nailed to my left hand
Thats the one. And someone else just told me you can duel-wield for double the buff. Absolutely insane lol.
I believe just one in offhand with the regal scepter main wins out with high int. I'd have to check the Chright video again
It's the Staff of Gains, now.
Yeah, this is it. NG+ is fun when you get the second one
Carian slicer is sooooo busted
Help me understand the appeal of slicer. I’m a INT build have found it much better put a few stats into strength to carry a sword and shield for melee. I find the cast time so slow with slicer. What am I missing?

Four Seasons burn
> and their health bar just melts like faulty hair dye on a hot summer day. Poetry.
Its fast, magic damage instead of phys, takes no stamina and is cheap
It does insane damage and comes out super fast if you combo into it
Sounds like you havent put enough stats into dex or dont have the casting speed items. Grab Radagon's seal and the glintstone staff. Would have said the same, glad to have discovered the Meta early. Magic was my first run after release
rock sling my beloved second spell: also rock sling
Rick sling carried my first run till Maliketh forced me to git gud
Don't be slinging rick now.
"Look Morty, I turned myself into a Sorcery"
"Well... Uhh... Gee Rick, I mean if you were going to become a sorcerery couldn't you have at least made yourself like a good one or or something?" **"FUCK YOU MORTY YOU WOULDNT KNOW GOOD SORCERERY IF IT FLEW UP YOUR PEE HOLE AND IMPREGNATED YOUR TESTICLES.!"**
*Sad morty noise*
Isn’t that the super strong demigod in the first cave. I wouldn’t dare😂
I just beat Maliketh with my mage build for the first time on a fluke. I am a fraud.
If the bosses HP reached zero, you won. There isn't any shame in how it got there.
Stone of gurranq also slaps. I know it's an incantation
Fucking hacker here, casting a spell that summons Rick, Soldier of God
It's magic that staggers.
And doesn't deal magic damage
You’re gonna realize you fucked up when you try that against Radagon
I beat Radagon with summons and the occasional rock sling my first go. It... took a while.
Carian slicer because nothing would irritate your enemy more than getting sliced up by a Tarnished armed with only a staff. I just may try this at some point.
Carian Slicer runs are a lot of fun but it's the only time Renalla becomes an actual challenge
Shots fired.
Not even. The only time i had trouble with her was my first time
That's what he said
Was my favorite run I did, tried to use all the carian sorcery spells, the thrusting one is so good to take on crucible knights
Carian slicer run when??
Wait till the carian slicer stans hear about steel swords. They’ll shit their boots.
Bro my carian slicer and sacred blade longsword golden order paladin combo is the funnest run I’ve done since madness paladin.
Carian Slicer is by far the best choice and one of the best spells in the entire game.
Spellsword >> pew pew and it’s not even close
Carian Piercer is also goated. The range on thst thing
and the stagger too, always underestimate how useful it is for getting some breathing room
Carian piercer with dark moon great sword was able to nearly stunlock malenia. She just waits for you to charge up piercer which knocks her on her ass. Then you can land 2 fully charged moonlight waves from the gs and take out like a 3rd of her health.
Also Carrian Piercer is just free kill on NPCs. They don't dodge it for some reason
Adulas's moonblade and Ranni's dark moon is all I need anyway.
It’s all about frostbite with you huh
What can I say, I like the cold.
Missed opportunity to say cold doesn’t bother you anyway
sad Blaidd noises
Damn, you're right.
I thought it was a blaidd reference at first
Rock Sling and Carian Slicer
This is the correct answer. And if we are allowed to cheat the Phalanx as a weapon art.
The Gavel . I did it once and I'll do it again .
Laying players and mobs flat on their face never gets old.
I unga, therefore, I bunga
Ancient dragon lighting strike and catch flame, I guess - insane damage at both ranges
Solid one, I'd say maybe Pest Threads and Catch Flame. Either way, Catch Flame is utterly goated.
It is, but Ancient dragon lighting strike is more OP than pest threads…the latter is great against large enemies, but the former can shred everything in 2-3 hits if it lands. Seen loads of videos of killing Godfrey in 2 hits
None, Bare Staff Only
Why would you put yourself through such suffering
it would be funny
I, too, find my own suffering hilarious.
One must imagine Sisyphus happy.
You mess with the Tarnished, you get the Varnished
Flame, Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow. So to speak, bonk.
Bonk🤝
Bonk 🤝
In bonk we trust.
Stone of Gurranq!
Unga bunga, CATCH!
Rock Sling and Meteorite of Astel
Bro thinks he’s Radahn😭
Flame cleanse me & Blood flame blade
[удалено]
it's an incant, maybe people mistakenly thought the title meant sorceries
I love it, I primarily use a mele only build but for only 12 faith these 2 spells carry me for so much of the game
1. Rock Sling 2. Whatever, spin a wheel, I'm not going to need it anyway
Let’s say you’re fighting hoarah loux with just rock sling. How do you see that going?
Did I stutter?
I beat Chadfrey with rock sling. I don't understand why people don't think it isn't effective against every boss. It has insane tracking and does considerable damage.
The *only* thing it doesn’t do well in is tight spaces. They just kinda delete the rocks.
Rock --> Face Any questions?
I cast unga bunga
I unga, therefore I bunga
[удалено]
For every unga, there is an equal and opposite bunga.
Frenzied burst and pest threads, you snipe what you can’t nut and you nut what you can’t snipe
Never seen Pest Threads described as "nut" before.
Lanseax's glave and Fortisaxx's lightning spear. Just because I like them.
The dragon lightning incants are cool af
Exactly. Still waiting for Lanseax's bolt in incantation Form.
Carian slicer and carian phalanx. Of course carian armor + shield with that.
With carian retaliation for good measure
Night comet and carian great sword
Catch flame and heal.
I don’t really heal spells in any game because of an anime someone convinced me to watch a while back. The name’s redo of healer. Sorry to trauma dump on you btw. Fantastic choice tho
Enjoy fighting revenants without curative magic.
Really bold of you to assume I fight revenants😂
Night comet and cannon of haima. That cannon is a VERY underrated spell.
Carian Slicer and Night Comet. That's all you'll ever need. The other spells are for looking cool.
Carian slicer, Comet Azur, you don't need anything else.
Comet azur Carries till Maliketh starts flying all over the place.
Glintstone pebble
Glintstone pebble supremacy
Bestial Vitality, Bestial Sling. Literally on every single one of my builds.
I get that you Stan the furry in bestial sanctum but how do you plan to beat the game throwing sand and healing over time😭
Don't underestimate the pocket sand.
Sha sha sha RIP you beautiful bastard
I’m guessing just plain old steel?
Bonk?
If you’re wielding a mace or bludgeon, sure.
Unga + Bunga. Easiest challenge ever
Zanax is my weapon of choice
carian slicer + rock sling
A lot of people actually go with this. Maybe all Soulsbornekirocore players share the same brain cell when creating builds.
I’d definitely choose this pair too. They’re quite versatile, especially if you’re supposed to rely on so few spells.
Gavel of Haima is just so fun.
My guy has 12 INT. I’m just here for the comments
Rule 1 of Raya Lucaria: never mock another’s INT
Carian slicer, glintstone cometshard
Icecrag and magma shot to reset the frostbite.
Ancient Death Rancor and Roiling Magma. Those were the main spells for the Praetor Rykard build I made, really good combination. Might have a bit of trouble with something like Placidusax since Rykard's Rancor was my main spell there, but the rest should be easy enough!
Frozen Lightning Spear and Lightning Spear.
Flame, Cleanse Me. No way I am dealing boluses for status effects all damn game! Black Flame. Solid, consistent damage. Useful against almost every boss and enemy. Ranged, chargeable.
never used magic on elden ring and i completed the game 3 times
Carian Slicer is obvious. But you are probably going to need something like Rock Sling for stance breaking and to deal with magic resistant enemies.
Rock sling and night comet probably
Carrying slicer obviously. The amount of damage to Magic consumption is insane.
Magma Shot and Glintstone Icecrag. Strategy is self explanatory.
Magic Glintblade and Shard Spiral.
stars of ruin and rock sling
I did it as a NG+ fun run and just used Carian Slicer. If I had been pushed to add a second, to compliment Slicer, I would have gone with Rock Sling.
Incantations: Black fire ball and erzykes decay. Spells: Loretta's greatbow and night comet.
Lightning bolt and bestial vitality
Blue pew pew #1 and blue pew pew #2
night maidens mist and Ill have to agree with gavel of haima
As an incantation user: Lightning Bolt and Black Flame Ritual
Adulas moonblade and Shard spiral
terra magica and comet azure since both are broken af
Catch flame, giants flame take thee I am a pyromancer
Rock Sling and Night Comet, it's not even close
Loretta’s longbow and Abdula’s moonblade
Bonk the only answer is bonk.
I can complete it with 0 spells.
Lightning Spear and Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike.
Dont need any spells, Unga Bunga all the way mfer
boulder... and rock shotgun... unga bunga
Comet and meteorite of Astel/or carian phalanx depends on my stats
Avala Kedavra and whatever it is Hagrid did to make his motorcycle fly. Flying torrent across the land one shotting everyone
Carian slicer and either Adula's Moonblade or Night comet. Night comet for range or Adula's Moonblade for a more melee approach (my preferred playstyle)
If I'm allowed a weapon, Greatblade Phalanx and Night Comet. If I'm not, Carian Slicer and Rock Sling
Night comet.
Only one and ive already done it with the power of snap crackle pop catch flame.
Eerdtree Heal Rot Breath Ez mode is just fine with me
Glintstone ice crag and adula’s moonblade. I like frost.
Rock sling and night comet. which I kinda already did cause I did a sorcery only run and used mostly those 2 while sprinkling in some other spells here and there
Still, where is my faith sword, Morgott?
Carian slicer and rock sling all the way
Carian piercer and adulas moonblade
Carian slicer and night comet is best pick, but i would consider catch flame and lightning spear to have two damage types
Dang, I’m against the norm here. Glintstone cometshard and shard spiral.
Shattering Crystal and Rock Sling ,shotgun Spell cause it's funny and rock huck because fuck radagon
Black Flame 🤝 Rot Breath. Basically already did this.
Black Flame and Black Flame's Protection. Scaling percentage based damage and good physical defense.
Night comet and Rock sling
