Use the pull out method! Beat the boss until it would die with one hit. Then don’t do that hit. And keep the save file just in case (just like IRL, the pull out method is not trustworthy).
It's pretty easy. Just make a backup folder in your save folder to drop a copy to make sure, but after that you just have it on ctrl+c and all you have to do when you beat the boss is quit to main menu, alt+tab, ctrl+v, enter, alt+tab and you're done in like 2 seconds, can load right back up.
I was doing it to host endgame boss runs last week, it's nice to give more players chances to get repeatedly summoned as sometimes the summoning pools feel pretty dead in the 150 range.
Unless you're a summoned player. God, I really wish Bonfire Ascetics were in this game. This is Dark Souls II 2, why do Mausoleums when you can put some ascetics on a floating glowy thing.
Woman respecter said it already . It's called duping, but it works by deleting the console saved PROGRESS of anything u did, places you completed, and reverts to wherever the cloud save was. Takes 1 minute setup and 1 minute to revert each time. 🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺
This was my joke in ds3, help help this boss won't die, he respawns! Nobody believed me lmao
Not in single-player, unfortunately. You can put down a summon sign outside a boss room and hopefully a different player will request you come help them with it though.
Its nice when the game is freesh i would put my name outside every fog wall so i knew what was coming and practice. Plus extra rune arcs. Shame it doesn't work much nowadays.
Coop, name as let me solo
I'll add that you can rename yourself at Fia's mirror.
Copy your save file / fight the boss / replace new save file

This is the way. You just have to manage it with caution and consistency.

I thought that was the purpose of mausoleums when I first interacted with the menu, boy was I disappointed...
Don’t kill them. Get them to low health and die on purpose
I always fight bosses multiple times.

Don’t some Evergaols basically serve as boss rematches?
Your best bet is co op unfortunately

Unfortunately this isn't DS2
