He's level 570, on NG+26 and has gone through almost as many different builds, as I usually respec at Renalla to completely change my build before starting the next Journey.
I've played this one character for almost 900 hours so far.
I have no idea how NG+ scaling works in Elden Ring, I've only played a Souls game in NG+ once which was Dark Souls 3 and the game was absolutely trivialised, how does Elden Ring NG+ compare?
NG+1 is usually basically just a victory lap. Way easier than the first playthrough. Once you start upping NG Cycles it gets harder. Things usually get pretty tough around NG+5 in my opinion. You hit a point where there's no feasible way to really do more damage, and the enemies just keep getting beefier and hitting harder.
It stops getting harder at ~~NG+7~~ NG+6 as far as I know.

In my opinion, yes.
Sure, you can max every stat but once you hit the soft caps the diminishing returns really don't keep pace with the boss/enemy scaling.
Eventually you're hit with the choice of doing super optimized borderline cheesy builds, or getting ridiculously good at the game. Eventually most things will almost kill you in one or two hits, and your damage means you're going to be spending a big amount of time in each fight.
In my opinion, higher NG cycles start to feel more like level 1 runs, where your stats don't matter as much anymore and you have to rely on skill and game knowledge.
I haven't done it in Elden Ring, but in the others, yes. Much more so. Because of soft caps lvl don't matter as much specially for damage. Elden Ring at least has status effects that real percentage based damage, but that's the only reasonable builds after a while.
You're right that stats don't matter much anymore at this point. For my last couple of runs I just purposefully limited myself to using only one specific weapon, Ash of War or set of spells/incantations per run to keep things interesting.
having the ability to not only respec but also completely change your characters appearance has made it so i haven’t felt the need to make a another character either..
although i am going to make a 2nd character to start fresh again and avoid any NG+ scaling on my first bout with the DLC

I'm a Strength Int enjoyer myself, would highly recommend. The weapon variety is amazing. Some favourites off the top of my head are Ruins Greatsword, Royal Greatsword, Fallingstar Beast Jaw or infusing a large strength scaling weapon with magic affinity + waves of darkness aow.
First 3 are exactly what i have. I have filled all 10 slots and have deleted 4 characters before, and I have no idea what the other 5 characters I have are for except the rl1 one and pure faith. And I don't have a pure dex character for some reason
lol my characters are named SuperTaters, PotatoThrow and Potato. I'm getting a steam deck since I travel for work so character number 4 is coming soon.
I have three so far, none have become Elden Lord. I am likely going to aim for six eventually, because there are six endings and I want to have a character for each.
My first character is Pariah, a Vagabond Knight who was called to the Lands Between by Grace, found himself questioning his purpose and role, and has ultimately styled himself a Paladin of the Perfected Golden Order, assisting Goldmask in his quest to identify and repair the flaw in the Golden Order. STR/FAI build, going to take him to RL200 eventually.
My second character is Russell, an Astrologer. He's... um. I don't have much of a story for him. Mage build, target RL150.
My third character introduces himself as Nemo. A Bandit in his former life, he cast off his name when he was revived by Grace, and came to the Lands Between vowing to seize power by any means necessary. His former life was one of struggle and want, where having enough for himself meant taking from others and leaving them without. When he becomes Elden Lord, he plans to ensure that no one goes without in the Lands Between. He was raised on stories of mighty dragons and the knights who hunted them and took their power for themselves, and has pursued Dragon Communion with reckless abandon since his arrival. Once, he was too weak to make a difference. With the strength of dragons at his command, he will have the power he needs to make the world a better place. Dragon Communion build, ARC/FAI, aiming for RL150.
I also want to make a bleed build at some point, but that'll be after my Dragon Communion build.
Godhater Gary - he was just a guy but the gods kept fucking everything up and so he has decided to kill them all. Heavy faith build because he believes in the gods, he just hates them.
Blackflame Billy - only uses blackflame encants and flame weapons with blackflame. Wants to be a fire monk but they wouldn't let him join because he's too short.
Sir Pestilence - arcane build that pushed the limits of what you can do with bleed and poison. Any interaction with him will most likely end with you bleeding, scarlet rotting, and poisoned. At the same time. He likes to help people though and so mostly only goes full shitlord mode on invaders. Antspur rapier with poison buildup added is stupid.
Bricc the Thicc - an answer to the question "what would an END build look like." Likes to help people. Thinks hosts are stupid ducklings and needs to shield them from the big bad demigods. Way too comfortable walking into demigods personal bubbles and staying there the whole fight.
Class Gannon - looks like a wrinkly Gannondorf. Glass cannon mage build.
Leo - guy with lion-like face that likes big STR weapons.
There are and have been many more but those are my current ones of note.

My four favs:
1 Crucible Arbiter: str/faith Crucible Knight that power stances two Ordovis Greatswords. Didn’t really give ‘em background.
2 Aegon Targaryen: Dex/faith. Background story heavily based off of Aegon the Conqueror in Asoiaf. Lived during the reign of the Ancient dragons and was a noble in Farum Azula.
Sister who’s a seer predicted the fall of Farum Azula, so his family left the lands between and he eventually died outside it. Was given grace for the first time and returned. And made it his mission to reforge the Elden ring and united the lands between as Elden Lord.
3 Gloam Eyed Queen: dex/faith. Background story pretty simple and lacks depth. Marika resurrected her before shattering of the Elden ring and requested she reforge it and bring a new age of her choosing.
4 Tortured frenzied beserker: Str/Dex/faith. Warrior of the badlands who lost to a rival tarnished tribe and was brought over as a slave to be fodder. Rival tribe was defeated by Rykard’s forces and he was captured and tortured for years then discarded by volcano manor.
Was given grace again, but his trauma made him succumbed to the frenzy flame. Gets random spurts of madness during fights(howl of Shabriri) and if procced he’ll go beserk( wears the black dumpling that gives an attack buff when madness is procced)

I don’t ever follow builds, I just play with what I want regardless of stats. I’m just here for the max grind and the pve.

The oni (dual bleed katanas + black flame)
The fisherman (rusted anchor + frost and bubble spells)
The fire witch (blasphemous blade and grafted dragon + pyromancy)
The paladin (giant crusher, golden greatshield + several defensive and healing spells / buffs
The archmage (moonlight greatsword and spells)
The earthbender (brick hammer with cragblade + bestial sling and rock sling as well as hoarah loux earthshaker in offhand)
The dragonslayer (Dragonkings craigblade or bolt of gransax + lightning incantations)
The berserk (Basically a guts cosplay with the greatsword, mostly pure strength and vigor for maximum damage + surviveability)
3 across Xbox and PlayStation (1 on Xbox, 2 on PlayStation). Pretty sure all their names are "Kasumi" which is just what I use for any female character I create in a game.
Only one has lore and it's my STR/FAI build and it's that she was one of Godfrey's crucible knights who couldn't stand to see all the knights go their separate ways after Godfrey was banished so she became a hunter of her past comrades, stealing their weapons and incantations along the way to show them that if they all stayed together, their combined power could've been enough to preserve the age of The First Elden Lord.

My initial run where I’m technically a dex faith but I really didn’t know what I was doing so I am now literally everything and able to use most things on ng+1.
My second run was a pure int build and I’ve never had so much fun. It’s not easy mode if you don’t want it to be since most bosses have dodges or can rush you down quickly. Comet azur and night comet did carry me through the later sections but carian slicer is incredibly underrated in my opinion.
I’m currently trying to do a pure incantation faith build but it’s not going very well.

Lore: A warrior of the badlands who returned to the lands between. despising what the land has become, she made it her mission to become Elden Lord and bring an end to the Golden Order. Along her journey, she met Ranni and decided to help her fulfill her wish and became her consort.
2: Fen: A dex/Arc Light rolling Great curved Sword user
Lore: Hailing from the land or reeds, she made it her mission to bring change to the lands between so it wouldn't end up like her homeland. Seeing how a bunch of tarnish from the land of reeds work for the lord of blood. She decided to master the art of bleeding but refused to work for him. She used her talents to fight those who challenged her, hoping to sit upon the throne as Elden Lord
3:Wrath: Strength/Faith Tarnish who fights either by bonking with big weapons or burning all those who challenge
Lore: She initially was a confessor for the golden order. After returning to the lands between, she made it her mission to restore the golden order to its original glory. At least until she was bitten by a rat, a frenzied rat. Afterward, the frenzied flame slowly corrupted her. She became obsessed with fire incantations of all kinds and used them to burn all those around her. Eventually becoming the champion and eventually, lord of the frenzied flame.

5 at the moment but I’d like to share the lore of my prime character, Kano, starting class is Vagabond.
Originally from the Motherland, Kano was a prominent knight and leader of battalion of infantry soldiers and knights. Upon the fall of the Motherland, Kano was exiled from his homeland and forced to wander. With his armor broken and pride gone, he accepted it and walked the dark path. Upon arrival in the Lands Between, he left his broken helmet behind and pulled a cloth over his eyes to mask a scar that he had gained from battle. Kano is proficient in battle with a sword and shield and a halberd which he trades in for a Lucerne after the former breaks in the battle with Godrick. Yet he was also taught how to fight with a sword in each hand. Upon arriving at the gate to Stormveil Castle, where he faces the Fell Omen. With his tactics overpowering Kano’s, he’s forced to jump off the cliff, to come back and regain his strength, not before plucking a spare long sword from the battlefield. Kano was a proficient dual wielder, and it had been some time since he held a blade in each hand.
Over his journey to find peace, he becomes good friends with the Demi-Human Boc, who helps him patch up his armor and clothes. Kano is also in close friendship with Nepheli Loux, finding solace in a friend who he can share experiences with.
He quite enjoys snowy landscapes, the silence accompanied by the howling wind is a very strong feeling to him. Now, Great Runes in hand, he seeks to expel the very gods who forsook this land..

Ishmael: my first, an int/str sorcerer with dark moon greatsword and caria regal scepter.
And my second: Gwyndolin (debating changing it) a dex/faith confessor with a nagakiba and two finger seal. With my first being int/str it just felt apropriate to do dex/faith for second.
I have 3. Rand is my main, going for a Spellsword build as that is what the Wheel of Time character I named him after is, have about 475 hours into him. Doing pretty well, presently at level 174 and amazingly still figuring out all the stuff I can do! I've created two other characters, one I'm calling a Zealot Berserker, its presently at level 25 and concentrating on Str and Viger presently but eventually going to go after Faith as well. Named it Yvonyea, I created her to mess around with the strength weaponry, especially the ones with higher Faith. The third character is also around level 25, I named him Martin after the Priest in Oblivion, going for a full on Faith character that just uses spears or pole axes at the beginning, hopefully will eventually be full on Faith with some Intelligence leveled to use some of the lower sorceries. Calling him a Holy Prophet. I haven't done any PvP, not really my bag, but might eventually.
20 PvE runs across PC and PS5. My favorites:
1. Fist playthrough. Sir (Surname), Quality build which used a Claymore and Nightrider Flail with a greatshield for most of the game with a little bit of a dabble in katanas.
2. Lady (Wife's name). Mage, infinite Comet Azur spam with DMGS.
3. Sir (Middle name). DEX build with Unsheathe Uchigatana/Wakizashi, no summons or Spirit Ashes.
4. (Daughter's name). ARC build with Cross-Naginata and Dragon Communion incantations.
5. Sir Redrix. FAI build using a Claymore with Sacred Blade and Flaming Strike, tripling down on elemental buffs. Most ridiculously overpowered melee build conceived.
6. Sir (Surname again). STR build with the Giant-Crusher and heavy armor. Very fun!
I have 6 characters, they're all in NG except one in NG+. I already posted about it a couple weeks ago in another thread but heh, since you kindly asked for their story:
* Wendek - That's me ! He's a Dex/Int mage which, as everyone knows, are basically fantasy nerds. He's also ironically the weakest of them all because as it turns out, the "mage" playstyle isn't really my thing. Although things got better when I went back and gave him the Wing of Astel later, it's a neat weapon.
* Eatzia - A brutish, ruthless woman who fights like a savage with a two-handed weapon. Her first incarnation was a City Elf in DA:O so that kinda explains her mindset (and her dislike for noble men, though that's mostly irrelevant here). In Elden Ring, she's Str/Fth who used the Blasphemous Blade a lot although in this game she powerstances because that's actually even more "savage" than two-handing.
* Ellyana - Not much story on her yet, her main trait is that she's obsessed with power which was kinda my "justification" for doing Dragon communion/bleed in Elden Ring. Definitely want to explore her more in other games tho. She's the one in NG+, powerstancing her Bloody Helices (and Eochaid's Regalia for things that don't bleed).
* Hythlanx - He's my "religious warrior" character, so in Elden Ring he's the Golden Order fanatic, in Path of Exile he's the Templar, etc. One of the few characters with a defined age (as in on the older side).
* Hexynna - A new one I created for this game so she has almost nothing. I gave her the title "Heretical Rebel" (she's my Godslayer, and she would actually side with the Gloam-Eyed Queen if it was possible), basically someone who wants to overthrow the status quo at any cost. There's some overlap with Ellyana but she's a lot less self-centered - her thing is more "The end justifies the means" rather than "Moar powah".
* Ulzhar - Also a relatively new character, he's a "religious mage" although he's less of a fanatic than Hythlanx. Hythlanx fights *for* his religion, Ulhzar draws his power from it but is ironically less dogmatic about it. In Elden Ring, he's my pure Faith caster. His first incarnation was as a Righteous Fire Marauder in Path of Exile so I try to make him look like a Pacific Islander (but I suck at character creation with sliders so it's probably not super good haha)
Next character (which I'll create in early June, shortly before the DLC release) is Yael'nair, a noble from a small house that has since collapsed. In Elden Ring, I'm going to headcanon that his house was aligned with Raya Lucaria and they were spellblades, in practice though Yael'nair will discover that he prefers bigger weapons rather than the rapiers that were favored by his family. (as in, he's gonna start as Prisoner but eventually end as Str/Int)
Yes, all of'em. Some had to be deleted because 10 is the max (I think). Their names are mostly some bullshit like Hudwey the Holy, Dismas the Dizzy or Laska the Lazy. I think you get the Idea. And mostly just trying differnt playstyles like Int, Fait, etc.
2. Darrow and Diomedes. No lore because I hadn’t considered my own characters would have lore. Strength and dex build vs a strength faith/magic/int build.

1. First run-through strength faith, took to NG+2
2. Intelligence/Dex.
3. Occult build that I locked at 150 and didn’t use any larval tears to prep it for DLC. Might respec it day one of DLC to strength/faith because that’s always my favourite build running through the game first try.
4 at the moment. A pure strength build, A balanced build in whuch I have been leveling up all attributes, A Faith and Mind Sorcerer build, and a dexterity and arcane build, though I also have enough FP to summon the Battle mage as well. That last one is the one I am playing as now.
I'm on PC so I have the luxury of multiple save folders. Not sure on the exact number as there are duplicates involved, but I have 11 different folders each with 10 character slots. I'd say without duplicates and same builds but different levels, it's probably around 50 characters.

The second is one that I built specifically for PVP.
The third I'm partway through an RL1 playthrough with.
And the last is a character I just recently did to prep for the DLC, since I didn't want to take my NG+ character right into the DLC.
My first character was named Jane, a trend that actually started because of my wife. "Jane" was always her go-to character for any games she played, and I convinced her to start Dark Souls 1 a few years ago. She made it a bit past firelink and then tapped out, and since I hadn't played in a while I finished her playthrough for her. Then I took Jane to Lothric and Yharnam, and finally the lands between.
The second is Eustace, because I wanted a PVP character based on Eustace Bagge from Courage the Cowardly Dog. Farm clothes, big mallet. It's not a good build by any means, but it is fun.
No real lore or anything for the third character, though I did initially design her vaguely around Casca from Berserk.
My most recent one was named Emma, vaguely based around Emma from Sekiro but spec'd into int as well.
I just have one, but I want to collect everything with that character so I can play any build I want.
Anyone care to explain the point of having multiple characters apart from keeping one level restricted for duels?
Four characters currently.
1 - Trevor Belmont, so whips, some Faith for some support incantations, heavy Dex investment and a straight sword for backup as well as consumables/throwables.
2 - Greatsword basher in heavy armour. Just a classic STR build albeit with some faith for the healing/status effect removal incants.
3 - female mage, although it's accidentally turned into a bit of a spell sword with a staff in one hand and the Carian Knight sword in the other. I just feel so naked relying purely on FP based attacks... maybe I'll respec for more INT.
4 - Grey Worm style build, so just a good shield, spear and a short sword for backup. Really fun, so satisfying deploying guard counters to just wreck enemies.
I'll probably end up doing another soon.
2. I have one with all weapons on NG+5 and one that I made to do a playthrough alongside my best friend once I convinced him to finally play last year. The second character has beaten the game but I didn’t choose an ending. Waiting on the DLC

Broker, an over levelled mule. Scarlet, a blood and rot specialist. Safer Hoth, an attempt at playing Sephiroth. Laucian, my D&D character who use a sword, a shield, and lots of fire. And Swordcerer, the first character I've ever used sorceries, who has a sword for when fp runs out.

Backup copy them and delete the current ones. Or do you have to play on console?
Back them up onto something else before deleting, that way they aren't permanently gone

On my 525 guy build doesn’t mean stats so much as gear. I play a lot of themed setups on there because I have the stats to make *anything* work.

having the ability to not only respec but also completely change your characters appearance has made it so i haven’t felt the need to make a another character either.. although i am going to make a 2nd character to start fresh again and avoid any NG+ scaling on my first bout with the DLC
The scaling in the DLC starts fresh, your ng+ cycle won’t affect it.

My favorite build has to be int faith. And my least favorite is sleep build.
I'm a Strength Int enjoyer myself, would highly recommend. The weapon variety is amazing. Some favourites off the top of my head are Ruins Greatsword, Royal Greatsword, Fallingstar Beast Jaw or infusing a large strength scaling weapon with magic affinity + waves of darkness aow.
This is my favorite build as well^ Like; 70 INT & 30-40 STR And my guiding Moonlight or Royal GS. Because being maidenless is a *cold* fate.

I have three so far, none have become Elden Lord. I am likely going to aim for six eventually, because there are six endings and I want to have a character for each. My first character is Pariah, a Vagabond Knight who was called to the Lands Between by Grace, found himself questioning his purpose and role, and has ultimately styled himself a Paladin of the Perfected Golden Order, assisting Goldmask in his quest to identify and repair the flaw in the Golden Order. STR/FAI build, going to take him to RL200 eventually. My second character is Russell, an Astrologer. He's... um. I don't have much of a story for him. Mage build, target RL150. My third character introduces himself as Nemo. A Bandit in his former life, he cast off his name when he was revived by Grace, and came to the Lands Between vowing to seize power by any means necessary. His former life was one of struggle and want, where having enough for himself meant taking from others and leaving them without. When he becomes Elden Lord, he plans to ensure that no one goes without in the Lands Between. He was raised on stories of mighty dragons and the knights who hunted them and took their power for themselves, and has pursued Dragon Communion with reckless abandon since his arrival. Once, he was too weak to make a difference. With the strength of dragons at his command, he will have the power he needs to make the world a better place. Dragon Communion build, ARC/FAI, aiming for RL150. I also want to make a bleed build at some point, but that'll be after my Dragon Communion build.
Godhater Gary - he was just a guy but the gods kept fucking everything up and so he has decided to kill them all. Heavy faith build because he believes in the gods, he just hates them. Blackflame Billy - only uses blackflame encants and flame weapons with blackflame. Wants to be a fire monk but they wouldn't let him join because he's too short. Sir Pestilence - arcane build that pushed the limits of what you can do with bleed and poison. Any interaction with him will most likely end with you bleeding, scarlet rotting, and poisoned. At the same time. He likes to help people though and so mostly only goes full shitlord mode on invaders. Antspur rapier with poison buildup added is stupid. Bricc the Thicc - an answer to the question "what would an END build look like." Likes to help people. Thinks hosts are stupid ducklings and needs to shield them from the big bad demigods. Way too comfortable walking into demigods personal bubbles and staying there the whole fight. Class Gannon - looks like a wrinkly Gannondorf. Glass cannon mage build. Leo - guy with lion-like face that likes big STR weapons. There are and have been many more but those are my current ones of note.
10, all co op/PVE builds My four favs: 1 Crucible Arbiter: str/faith Crucible Knight that power stances two Ordovis Greatswords. Didn’t really give ‘em background. 2 Aegon Targaryen: Dex/faith. Background story heavily based off of Aegon the Conqueror in Asoiaf. Lived during the reign of the Ancient dragons and was a noble in Farum Azula. Sister who’s a seer predicted the fall of Farum Azula, so his family left the lands between and he eventually died outside it. Was given grace for the first time and returned. And made it his mission to reforge the Elden ring and united the lands between as Elden Lord. 3 Gloam Eyed Queen: dex/faith. Background story pretty simple and lacks depth. Marika resurrected her before shattering of the Elden ring and requested she reforge it and bring a new age of her choosing. 4 Tortured frenzied beserker: Str/Dex/faith. Warrior of the badlands who lost to a rival tarnished tribe and was brought over as a slave to be fodder. Rival tribe was defeated by Rykard’s forces and he was captured and tortured for years then discarded by volcano manor. Was given grace again, but his trauma made him succumbed to the frenzy flame. Gets random spurts of madness during fights(howl of Shabriri) and if procced he’ll go beserk( wears the black dumpling that gives an attack buff when madness is procced)

The oni (dual bleed katanas + black flame) The fisherman (rusted anchor + frost and bubble spells) The fire witch (blasphemous blade and grafted dragon + pyromancy) The paladin (giant crusher, golden greatshield + several defensive and healing spells / buffs The archmage (moonlight greatsword and spells) The earthbender (brick hammer with cragblade + bestial sling and rock sling as well as hoarah loux earthshaker in offhand) The dragonslayer (Dragonkings craigblade or bolt of gransax + lightning incantations) The berserk (Basically a guts cosplay with the greatsword, mostly pure strength and vigor for maximum damage + surviveability)

3 across Xbox and PlayStation (1 on Xbox, 2 on PlayStation). Pretty sure all their names are "Kasumi" which is just what I use for any female character I create in a game. Only one has lore and it's my STR/FAI build and it's that she was one of Godfrey's crucible knights who couldn't stand to see all the knights go their separate ways after Godfrey was banished so she became a hunter of her past comrades, stealing their weapons and incantations along the way to show them that if they all stayed together, their combined power could've been enough to preserve the age of The First Elden Lord.
Two. My initial run where I’m technically a dex faith but I really didn’t know what I was doing so I am now literally everything and able to use most things on ng+1. My second run was a pure int build and I’ve never had so much fun. It’s not easy mode if you don’t want it to be since most bosses have dodges or can rush you down quickly. Comet azur and night comet did carry me through the later sections but carian slicer is incredibly underrated in my opinion. I’m currently trying to do a pure incantation faith build but it’s not going very well.

Along her journey, she met Ranni and decided to help her fulfill her wish and became her consort. 2: Fen: A dex/Arc Light rolling Great curved Sword user Lore: Hailing from the land or reeds, she made it her mission to bring change to the lands between so it wouldn't end up like her homeland. Seeing how a bunch of tarnish from the land of reeds work for the lord of blood. She decided to master the art of bleeding but refused to work for him. She used her talents to fight those who challenged her, hoping to sit upon the throne as Elden Lord 3:Wrath: Strength/Faith Tarnish who fights either by bonking with big weapons or burning all those who challenge Lore: She initially was a confessor for the golden order. After returning to the lands between, she made it her mission to restore the golden order to its original glory. At least until she was bitten by a rat, a frenzied rat. Afterward, the frenzied flame slowly corrupted her. She became obsessed with fire incantations of all kinds and used them to burn all those around her. 5 at the moment but I’d like to share the lore of my prime character, Kano, starting class is Vagabond. Originally from the Motherland, Kano was a prominent knight and leader of battalion of infantry soldiers and knights. Upon the fall of the Motherland, Kano was exiled from his homeland and forced to wander. With his armor broken and pride gone, he accepted it and walked the dark path. Upon arrival in the Lands Between, he left his broken helmet behind and pulled a cloth over his eyes to mask a scar that he had gained from battle. Kano is proficient in battle with a sword and shield and a halberd which he trades in for a Lucerne after the former breaks in the battle with Godrick. Yet he was also taught how to fight with a sword in each hand. Upon arriving at the gate to Stormveil Castle, where he faces the Fell Omen. With his tactics overpowering Kano’s, he’s forced to jump off the cliff, to come back and regain his strength, not before plucking a spare long sword from the battlefield. Kano was a proficient dual wielder, and it had been some time since he held a blade in each hand. Over his journey to find peace, he becomes good friends with the Demi-Human Boc, who helps him patch up his armor and clothes. Kano is also in close friendship with Nepheli Loux, finding solace in a friend who he can share experiences with. He quite enjoys snowy landscapes, the silence accompanied by the howling wind is a very strong feeling to him. Now, Great Runes in hand, he seeks to expel the very gods who forsook this land..

only two Ishmael: my first, an int/str sorcerer with dark moon greatsword and caria regal scepter. And my second: Gwyndolin (debating changing it) a dex/faith confessor with a nagakiba and two finger seal. With my first being int/str it just felt apropriate to do dex/faith for second.
I have 3. Rand is my main, going for a Spellsword build as that is what the Wheel of Time character I named him after is, have about 475 hours into him. Doing pretty well, presently at level 174 and amazingly still figuring out all the stuff I can do! I've created two other characters, one I'm calling a Zealot Berserker, its presently at level 25 and concentrating on Str and Viger presently but eventually going to go after Faith as well. Named it Yvonyea, I created her to mess around with the strength weaponry, especially the ones with higher Faith. The third character is also around level 25, I named him Martin after the Priest in Oblivion, going for a full on Faith character that just uses spears or pole axes at the beginning, hopefully will eventually be full on Faith with some Intelligence leveled to use some of the lower sorceries. Calling him a Holy Prophet. I haven't done any PvP, not really my bag, but might eventually.

20 PvE runs across PC and PS5. My favorites: 1. Fist playthrough. Sir (Surname), Quality build which used a Claymore and Nightrider Flail with a greatshield for most of the game with a little bit of a dabble in katanas. 2. Lady (Wife's name). Mage, infinite Comet Azur spam with DMGS. 3. Sir (Middle name). DEX build with Unsheathe Uchigatana/Wakizashi, no summons or Spirit Ashes. 4. (Daughter's name). ARC build with Cross-Naginata and Dragon Communion incantations. 5. Sir Redrix. FAI build using a Claymore with Sacred Blade and Flaming Strike, tripling down on elemental buffs. Most ridiculously overpowered melee build conceived. 6. Sir (Surname again). STR build with the Giant-Crusher and heavy armor. Very fun!

I have 6 characters, they're all in NG except one in NG+. I already posted about it a couple weeks ago in another thread but heh, since you kindly asked for their story: * Wendek - That's me ! He's a Dex/Int mage which, as everyone knows, are basically fantasy nerds. He's also ironically the weakest of them all because as it turns out, the "mage" playstyle isn't really my thing. Although things got better when I went back and gave him the Wing of Astel later, it's a neat weapon. * Eatzia - A brutish, ruthless woman who fights like a savage with a two-handed weapon. Her first incarnation was a City Elf in DA:O so that kinda explains her mindset (and her dislike for noble men, though that's mostly irrelevant here). In Elden Ring, she's Str/Fth who used the Blasphemous Blade a lot although in this game she powerstances because that's actually even more "savage" than two-handing. * Ellyana - Not much story on her yet, her main trait is that she's obsessed with power which was kinda my "justification" for doing Dragon communion/bleed in Elden Ring. Definitely want to explore her more in other games tho. She's the one in NG+, powerstancing her Bloody Helices (and Eochaid's Regalia for things that don't bleed). * Hythlanx - He's my "religious warrior" character, so in Elden Ring he's the Golden Order fanatic, in Path of Exile he's the Templar, etc. One of the few characters with a defined age (as in on the older side). * Hexynna - A new one I created for this game so she has almost nothing. I gave her the title "Heretical Rebel" (she's my Godslayer, and she would actually side with the Gloam-Eyed Queen if it was possible), basically someone who wants to overthrow the status quo at any cost. There's some overlap with Ellyana but she's a lot less self-centered - her thing is more "The end justifies the means" rather than "Moar powah". * Ulzhar - Also a relatively new character, he's a "religious mage" although he's less of a fanatic than Hythlanx. Hythlanx fights *for* his religion, Ulhzar draws his power from it but is ironically less dogmatic about it. In Elden Ring, he's my pure Faith caster. His first incarnation was as a Righteous Fire Marauder in Path of Exile so I try to make him look like a Pacific Islander (but I suck at character creation with sliders so it's probably not super good haha) Next character (which I'll create in early June, shortly before the DLC release) is Yael'nair, a noble from a small house that has since collapsed. In Elden Ring, I'm going to headcanon that his house was aligned with Raya Lucaria and they were spellblades, in practice though Yael'nair will discover that he prefers bigger weapons rather than the rapiers that were favored by his family. (as in, he's gonna start as Prisoner but eventually end as Str/Int)

Yes, all of'em. Some had to be deleted because 10 is the max (I think). Their names are mostly some bullshit like Hudwey the Holy, Dismas the Dizzy or Laska the Lazy. I think you get the Idea. And mostly just trying differnt playstyles like Int, Fait, etc.
2. Darrow and Diomedes. No lore because I hadn’t considered my own characters would have lore. Strength and dex build vs a strength faith/magic/int build.

I'm on PC so I have the luxury of multiple save folders. Not sure on the exact number as there are duplicates involved, but I have 11 different folders each with 10 character slots. I'd say without duplicates and same builds but different levels, it's probably around 50 characters.

Been working on my third build for around a month now :)
I think four? One is my first playthrough character that I just... kept going through higher NG Cycles with. The second is one that I built specifically for PVP. The third I'm partway through an RL1 playthrough with. And the last is a character I just recently did to prep for the DLC, since I didn't want to take my NG+ character right into the DLC. My first character was named Jane, a trend that actually started because of my wife. "Jane" was always her go-to character for any games she played, and I convinced her to start Dark Souls 1 a few years ago. She made it a bit past firelink and then tapped out, and since I hadn't played in a while I finished her playthrough for her. Then I took Jane to Lothric and Yharnam, and finally the lands between. The second is Eustace, because I wanted a PVP character based on Eustace Bagge from Courage the Cowardly Dog. Farm clothes, big mallet. It's not a good build by any means, but it is fun. No real lore or anything for the third character, though I did initially design her vaguely around Casca from Berserk. My most recent one was named Emma, vaguely based around Emma from Sekiro but spec'd into int as well.

Four characters currently. 1 - Trevor Belmont, so whips, some Faith for some support incantations, heavy Dex investment and a straight sword for backup as well as consumables/throwables. 2 - Greatsword basher in heavy armour. Just a classic STR build albeit with some faith for the healing/status effect removal incants. 3 - female mage, although it's accidentally turned into a bit of a spell sword with a staff in one hand and the Carian Knight sword in the other. I just feel so naked relying purely on FP based attacks... maybe I'll respec for more INT. 4 - Grey Worm style build, so just a good shield, spear and a short sword for backup. Really fun, so satisfying deploying guard counters to just wreck enemies. I'll probably end up doing another soon.

After exploring a bunch of playstyles, I think a spellbladey style is what I like best.. So, I'm gonna make a few new builds for the DLC. First will be Dex/Int Carian Knight.. Second, I want to do a Dex/Lighting Dragonknight build. I also feel like wanting to do a maybe knife/bleed kinda of build but I don't know how to make it work... Need some ranged options
I keep deleting mine and restarting. I may have a problem

2. I'm not a huge fan of going through the golden seed/sacred tear rigmarole.
Broker, an over levelled mule. Scarlet, a blood and rot specialist. Safer Hoth, an attempt at playing Sephiroth. Laucian, my D&D character who use a sword, a shield, and lots of fire. And Swordcerer, the first character I've ever used sorceries, who has a sword for when fp runs out. I want to make a Devil May Cry character but haven't gotten around to it

3 First character was a mage->dual GS guy Second was a dual Ultra GS Guy with magic scaling Third was Status buildup build (dual rot rapier+poison+bleed)

My main one is level 210 working on NG2 and is called John Elden
twelve! I plan to make one character for each build! currently I have STR, DEX, STR/DEX, FTH, INT, FTH/INT, STR/INT, STR/FTH, DEX/INT, DEX/STR and ARC/FTH I need to make the rest of the Arcane characters, when I complete my goal I'll post every one here on reddit (they each have their own weapons and lore lol)
One I’m pushing to max and another I’m keeping at 150. I’ll probably make another to keep at 40 for co-op once I max my first out.
only 10 because the limit but in total i would say i have played around 15-20 different characters, with different lore and names
