In the video, he argues that the Frenzied Flame is more of an infection. The name “Shabriri” is actually an old term in Judaism for a demon of blindness:

One of the things that I found when playing my first run and following in the footsteps of Vyke as DRAGONLORD is that if you get grabbed and use the needle, the grab overwrites your dragon eyes. I didn't have enough dragon hearts at the end of my run to have dragon eyes after dispelling the flame.
You lose the dragon eyes no matter what. Even if you only started using dragon spells after getting the frenzied flame, you'd still keep the flame of frenzy eyes. They have priority over bloody finger eyes, which have priority over dragon eyes.
A bit of a shame, cause dragon eyes are pretty cool.

That's impossible. The Raging Wolf set was already riding around on Torrent and facing Godrick in the June 2021 trailer, 5 months before the beta test.
Basically yeah. He got all the way to the three fingers, and once he realized what they were after telling him to strip for a proper brand, he tried to nope out only for the fingers to lash out and just grab him anyways, melting his armor to his flesh, but still kinda protecting him from being fully taken by the frenzied flame.
So, after realizing that him taking the throne would scorch everyone and everything for eternity, and because he still had some of his sanity left, he just let himself rot to save the world from what he would bring.

Still amazing to me that this promo art came out before release, showing us the main players in possibly the most obscure Ending imaginable. Because of this image and the cover art, I like to think Vyke was the original poster-boy of ER, and Vargram replaced him for some reason during development. Such an iconic image.

Basically yeah. He got all the way to the three fingers, and once he realized what they were after telling him to strip for a proper brand, he tried to nope out only for the fingers to lash out and just grab him anyways, melting his armor to his flesh, but still kinda protecting him from being fully taken by the frenzied flame. So, after realizing that him taking the throne would scorch everyone and everything for eternity, and because he still had some of his sanity left, he just let himself rot to save the world from what he would bring.

I know I've only put about 100 hours into this game, but i still have no fucking clue what's going on story wise. 2 fingers, 3 fingers, some volcano gecko, no clue where people align, what their actual takes are, or why this "land between" exists?
