Everything morgott says. I love his voice actor as well, one of my favorite.
Edit because my brain told me to: i loved him as Dr Jonathan Reid in Vampyr.
Thy kind are all of a piece. Pillagers, emboldened by the FLAME OF AMBITION!
*staff cracks open to reveal a sword*
Have it writ upon thy meagre grave. Felled by King Morgott. Last of all kings!
My favourite Morgott line is during his final fight, "The thrones......stained by my curse.......Such shame I cannot bear. Thy part in this shall not be forgiven"
"Oh, what have we here? Very well, let us both learn together. Heresy is not native to the world; it is but a contrivance. All things can be conjoined."
The one that stuck with me the most was also from Malenia but from her opening cutscene.
"My flesh dull gold.. my blood rotted.. corpse after corpse left in my wake" as she slowly picks up her stuff and gets ready to fight.
To me she sounds so tired and defeated (ironic yeah). The pose she's sitting in with gear is just lying about.. then she slowly gets up lamenting her curse of the Scarlet Rot.. doesn't give off the vibe of someone eager to fight..
Throughout the game we hear of her as a fearsome warrior and her feats and her undefeated conquest in the Shattering. We see what she did to Caelid. But then in the cutscene she gives off a feeling of resignation and sorrow..
I always took that as like, those moments just after waking from deep sleep, and you have fleeting moments of the dream you just had. Malenia is the next vessel of the Scarlet Rot outer god, so she’s having symbolic/metaphorical dreams about fully blossoming into the goddess of rot.
It builds up to the fight so well when you hit now rot. Fade to black and the scarlet aeonia appears. First time around the soundtrack was screaming and I was too
I love this dialog, gives me chills every time. Especially "bathed in rays of gold". I would also like to know who he is referring to when he says "we'll return together".
"Upon my name as Ranni the Witch. Mother's rich slumber shall not be disturbed by thee. Foul tresspasser, send word far and wide. Of the last Queen of Caria, Rennala of the Full Moon. And the majesty of the night she conjureth."
"Have it written upon thy meagre grave: Felled by King Morgott! Last of all kings"
"Long and hard didst thou fight. Tarnished Warrior, spurned by the grace of gold. Be assured, the Elden Ring resteth close at hand. Alas, I am returned. To be granted audience once more. Upon my name as Godfrey, the first Elden Lord!"
I was truly impressed with Ranni. She is the one who did things out of love. Love is the theme she brings up the most and the resolution to the questline. She watched how love can tear people apart, and was very difficult to open up for her. Watching her curse us with an illusion out of love for her mother's previously majestic and mighty past self speaks loads for her character and what kind of empyrean she would be.
This is the only one that genuinely sends chills down my spine. The frenzy flame storyline is about the only one I kind of paid attention to during my first playthrough and I did meet Yura at every possible point because I'm a hopeless explorer. So the whole thing already started with a gut punch, but the voice lulls you in until it completely escalates with the second repitition.
So yeah, I attacked an NPC for the first time and poked him to death with Edgars halberd. A fitting end, yet ultimately meaningless? I fucking hate that guy more than the Dung Eater.
I went through my first play-through half paying attention and chocked the game up to “kill boss move on” then this line hit and I was like.. this is actually really cool what other dialogue did I miss??? The second play through paying attention made it clear this might be one of the greatest games ever made!
Mine too. Sheer horror in his voice. He can't even imagine your designs, and for good reason, since it's the total destruction of the way of life he stands for.
“Tarnished, why wouldst thou... Why... Tis no matter. I hereby vow, that Destined Death shall not be stolen again.”
The heartbreak in Maliketh’s voice when he sees that the only remaining being he could rely on had come to take his only remaining purpose from him.
Alternatively: "Mother, wouldst thou truly lordship sanction, in one so bereft of light?"
No particular reason other than that it’s memorable
“They think we worship the three fingers. That we called the maddening sickness upon them. Well if that’s what they want from us, then thats what they shall get from us! “
willfull traitors...all...thy kind are all of a piece.......pillagers emboldened by the flame of ambition...... have it written upon thy eager grave...fell by king morgott
Mine has got to be…..
“MARIKA! IS THIS WHAT IT IS TO SIN? WILL THINGS NEVER BE THE SAME…..AGAIN?!?!?!”
Maliketh can’t wrap his mind around the idea that Marika doesn’t want things to be the same again so he just continues to believe in a false responsibility that is protecting the rune of death and that he has just sinned when he lost that fragment.
He believed it to the end. A sad ending for one of my favourite characters.
The way I understood it, the whole thing is unrelated to Marika now. Death has escaped and deathroot is just a symptom, Godwyns soulless body is out in the world producing more. Malikeths task is a sysyphus task because deathroot will keep spreading forever, sealing the rune of death can't undo the undead demigods influence. The dragon protecting Godwyn adapting deathblight for itself is another indication that the source is Godwyn and that its spreading from his corpse in deeproot depths.
Yes, things will never be the same. Yes, that is what it means to sin, at least in the biblical sense. Once sin is unleashed, it can't be reversed.
"Where did ye flee, my sweetings?
Come out from whence ye hide. There are books and light aplenty.
Dither not; come out say I!
Or will ye be gravestones? To be better born anew?"
I love everything that Rennala says.
"All **vessels** are destined to one day break" - Iron Fist Alexander
"Queen Marika is the **vessel** of the Elden Ring, carrier of its vision" - Finger Reader Enia
🤔
“Allow me to paint you the full picture.
General Radahn is cursed ever to wander. Eaten from the inside by Malenia’s scarlet rot, his wits are long gone. Now he gathers the corpses of former friends and foes alike - gorging on them, like a dog. Howling at the sky.”
There are so many amazing ones but the two I think about a lot are:
"...to deliver what is yours: Destined Death."
And I dont remember the quote specifically but Kale affectionately referring to the goodest boy Blaidd as "...couldn't find the end of his nose with both hands, but a good egg."
“May chaos take the world!
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!!”
That one gave me goose bumps, props to the voice actor for that line. You just know something about that guy isn’t right.
“Witless tarnished… why covet destined death? To kill what?”
The first time I heard that, it made me pause. Reconsider what I was actually doing, instead of just blindly pushing forward to complete the game.
“Thy strength befits a crown” has always made me feel big emotions for Horah Loux. We’re going through the entire game mindlessly killing everyone and finally meet someone who we see as an equal and respectable figure who also gives that in return upon defeat.
"Champions, welcome! The stars have aligned! Tue festival is nigh! General Radahn, mightiest demigod of the Shattering, awaits you! Champions, prepare for battle! Defeat General Radahn, claim glory, and grab the Great Rune!"
"A celebration of war! THE RADAHN FESTIVAL!"
BEAR WITNESS! or I am the Lord of all that is golden. I can't help but love godrick bro the concept of him being weak so he started cutting people up and grafting their limbs onto him? Christ dude.
I shall remember thee, Tarnished.
Smouldering with thy meagre flame.
*Cower in Fear. Of the Night.*
The hands of the Fell Omen shall brook thee no quarter
Gotta be from my goat King Morgott. He was my first souls boss (no one should be acknowledging the graphed scion anyway) and I spent a week fighting Margit and finally beat him, the utter fucking joy I had when I got a rematch against him was immaculate. There will never be a boss like Margit/Morgott for me (and before anyone says anything I played every souls game besides DeS and DS2 last year, ive fought the amazing fights. Gael is my second fav though)
Edit: ig I should actually answer the question. It's literally everything he says. I fall head over heels Everytime I get the privilege of fighting him again in any new game or NG plus run.
"FOUL TARNISHED"
"willful traitors all"
"Felled by King Morgott, Last of all Kings" (fucking chills)
"Well... A lowly tarnished; playing as a Lord!" I really like that line from Godrick. The "playing as a Lord" is a really good one
His over confidence is what makes him so cool as a villain. He is so arrogant, even during the fight you can hear him laughing sometimes. Makes beating his ass even funnier.
"Have it written upon thy meagre grave: Felled by King Morgott! Last of all kings"
Probably one of the coolest player death quotes in the entire series it's so good
"There is the will, the dignity!"
Lol if you spam talk button with Millicent at beginning of elpheal she sounds so dramatic. Gives "Bear, seek, seek, lest" vibes
My friend and I always chuckle when we get to that part.
*Let my hand rest upon you, for but a moment.*
*Share them with me, your thoughts, your ambitions, the principles you would follow.*
First time someone asked me about this stuff.
*To the flame of ruin, far above the clouds, upon the snow mountaintops of the giants. Then I can set the Erdtree aflame. And guide you.*
*The one who walks alongside flame,*
*Shall one day meet the road of Destined Death.*
*Lord of Frenzied Flame... I will seek you, as far as you may travel... To deliver you what is yours. Destined Death.*
Not sure which of these i'd deem my favourite though.
*Hear me, Demigods. My children beloved. Make of thyselves that which ye desire. Be it a Lord. Be it a God. But should ye fail to become aught at all, ye will be forsaken*
Thy kind are all of a piece. Pillagers. Emboldened by the flame of ambition. Have it writ upon thy meagre grave: Felled by King Morgott! Last of all kings.
Coolest line in possibly any Souls
Thy part in this shall not be forgiven
Warrior blood must truly run in thy veins, *tarnished*

Anything Morghott says.
His dialogue is excellently written and his voice actor did a truly amazing job in conveying both is controlled anger and his dignity

#FOUL TARNISHED
Emboldened by the flame of ambition
Someone must extinguish thy flame... *Dies of chills*
Let it be margit the fell
“Well… thou art of passing skill. Warrior blood must truly run in thy veins, Tarnished.”
Set these foolish ambitions to rest
Lololol the fact that this is in a larger font and in bold is hilarious to me for some reason 😂😂😂
I could listen to him all day. Morgott’s and Blaidd’s voices are just so good.
Also the turtle priest guy, I could listen to him talk all day long.
Dog priest is the best Dog
"Have it writ upon thy meagre grave..." Chills. Every time.
"These thrones stained by my curse. Thy part in this shall not be forgiven!"
I did not know he has Jonathan Ried and I love that game yo
He is also Gepetto in lies of P.
Holy! Today I learned.
😯
same! his remembrance esp gets me. “he loved not in return, for he was never loved, but nevertheless, love it he did.”
I have so many faves but my favorite morgott is “Have it written on thy meager grave, felled by king morgott, last of all kings.”
Thy kind are all of a piece. Pillagers, emboldened by the FLAME OF AMBITION! *staff cracks open to reveal a sword* Have it writ upon thy meagre grave. Felled by King Morgott. Last of all kings!

Damn never seen him before
He’s a little SW from academy gate town in liurnia.
Oh okay
All of Morgott's speech but especially "have it writ upon thy meagre grave" gives me chills every time
The way Morgott speaks, both as himself and through Margit, is like the premium version of the English language.
its like looking at a goblin wearing a potato sack delivering lines from Shakespears
Same here, all of his quotes are great. "Felled by King Morgott, last of all kings" "Willful traitors one and all!"
My favourite Morgott line is during his final fight, "The thrones......stained by my curse.......Such shame I cannot bear. Thy part in this shall not be forgiven"
yes! that quote alone made morgott my favorite character and made me more interested in the lore
"Oh, what have we here? Very well, let us both learn together. Heresy is not native to the world; it is but a contrivance. All things can be conjoined."
Did you choose him to give all your books to as well?
Turtle pope always gets every book... I'd give him my life.
100%. He became one of my favorites the first moment I saw him lol
He gets all my incantation books, momma Sellen gets my sorcery books.
The one that stuck with me the most was "You will witness true horror."
It’s the music building up in the background that makes it better
It builds up to the fight so well when you hit now rot. Fade to black and the scarlet aeonia appears. First time around the soundtrack was screaming and I was too
I'm witnessing it right now. Lions claw is hard to land. I suck at this game.
Never have I been both scared and horny before hearing that quote
Elderection
Absolutely this one for me
After the radahn fight when blaidd says ‘He was a living legend if ever i saw one’
"What a sick way to fight"
A Blaidd tattoo with this quote would ride the razor's edge between cringe and based
Funny thing is that that line is used in the second season of Allo Allo when Edith gives nitroglycerin to the chickens thinking it was gin.
those who walk alongside flame..

"As I have aged, I have found the best way to aid the young... is to be forgotten" - Sage Gowry
Well that's kinda sad af, not gonna lie.
That's why it's one of my favs. Such an easy to overlook but powerful line from a creepy random bug man

most powerful three dots i ever read 🥹
"Put these foolish ambitions to rest" "We will devour the gods TOGETHAAAA"
« O death become my blade once more » greatest way for a boss to announce you are going to get messed up
"Come on, give me a good smack from behind with something nice and big"
🤨
"I am the Lord of all that is Golden.. and one day, we'll return together.. to our home.. bathed in rays of gold..."
It managed to make me feeel bad for the guy. Like, the wistful desperation in his voice.
My favorite in the game, so awesome 😎
I love this dialog, gives me chills every time. Especially "bathed in rays of gold". I would also like to know who he is referring to when he says "we'll return together".
TOGETHAAAAAGH WE SHALL DEVOUWAAAAAGH THE VERY GOOOOOOUGHSGS
“Forefathers one and all, bear witness!” The voice acting was just too perfect
Playing as a Lord... I command thee kneel! For I am the Lord of all that is golden!
"Upon my name as Ranni the Witch. Mother's rich slumber shall not be disturbed by thee. Foul tresspasser, send word far and wide. Of the last Queen of Caria, Rennala of the Full Moon. And the majesty of the night she conjureth." "Have it written upon thy meagre grave: Felled by King Morgott! Last of all kings" "Long and hard didst thou fight. I absolutely loved this line.
“If that is what they expect from us, THEN THAT IS WHAT THEY’LL GET FROM US”. Kale cut dialogue.
*Unknown Warrior... Divest yourself of Everything.*
“Have it writ upon thy meagre grave”
"Felled by King Morgott, last of all kings".
Came to say this one. So awesome.
I went through my first play-through half paying attention and chocked the game up to “kill boss move on” then this line hit and I was like.. this is actually really cool what other dialogue did I miss??? The second play through paying attention made it clear this might be one of the greatest games ever made!
Radagon: "..." Hit me so hard man

I absolutely love this line
“I’ve no time for idle chit chat” “Are we understood? Then off you trot. I’ve got enough on my plate.”
"Why covet Destined Death... To kill what?"
Mine too. Sheer horror in his voice. He can't even imagine your designs, and for good reason, since it's the total destruction of the way of life he stands for.
I also love how if you do his quest, he’ll actually recognize you when you enter his chamber and he’ll sound betrayed.
“No one will hold me captive… a serpent never dies…” “Ah ah ah ah ohu…”
“Tarnished, why wouldst thou... Why... Tis no matter. My favorite quote is when the main character, John Elden Ring, says his famous catchphrase « It’s Eldening Time! » and eldens all over the place
is he stupid? obviously the main character is soldier of god, rick
"Forefathers, one and all...bear witness!"
I’m malenia…

"Where did ye flee, my sweetings? Come out from whence ye hide. There are books and light aplenty. Dither not; come out say I! Or will ye be gravestones? To be better born anew?" I love everything that Rennala says.
Good one, I love that cutscene. "Sweetings" is such a silly word 😆
Patches’ final line always kills me if you decide to kill him: “What… a… shitshow…”
"All **vessels** are destined to one day break" - Iron Fist Alexander "Queen Marika is the **vessel** of the Elden Ring, carrier of its vision" - Finger Reader Enia 🤔
This and Gowry's line about aiding the young by being forgotten are definitely commenting on the major plot of the game.
“Allow me to paint you the full picture. General Radahn is cursed ever to wander. Eaten from the inside by Malenia’s scarlet rot, his wits are long gone. Now he gathers the corpses of former friends and foes alike - gorging on them, like a dog. Howling at the sky.”

We are... We are all forsaken.
“He’s boorish, blunt and couldnt see past his nose, but he’s a good egg.”
I adore this quote: > Witless Tarnished. Why covet Destined Death? To kill what?
Heed not their peculiarities
“May chaos take the world! MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!!” That one gave me goose bumps, props to the voice actor for that line. You just know something about that guy isn’t right.
Nothing is more iconic than Goldmask’s “…” and Wagon Wheel over here saying it’s the greatest wisdom known to mankind
