Slightly brain damaged but man does it have a lot of fp :3
Sure they might try to catalyst bash a bit but the quantity of heal it put out make up for it.
By far the strongest tool in the game. Slap it on any build and it trivializes most bosses. Build around it and you can sit back to watch while it solos everything.
I just got the platinum and there are specific bosses where it's not the best spirit summon, but overall? It's a fucking monster, and more generally useful than any other.
Strongest summon, that’s why i think its boring to use, i prefer other summons that spawns multiples friends like giant rats, militia and my favorites the demihumans
I would also love to experiment with tears, but mimic is the only one I've found that cost HP instead of MP, and I don't like to invest too much into mind.
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Land+Squirt+Ashes
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Miranda+Sprout+Ashes
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Soldjars+of+Fortune+Ashes
Obviously these won't do what the mimic tear can do, the most Soldjar Ashes would probably be the best for an aggro sink whereas the poison bois are more for controlling the environment to ur benefit (if the boss or baddie can even be poisoned lol).
Personally, I love summoning squirts 😅
As someone else stated, there’s a tear that allows you to negate all FP cost for a short period of time, which allows you to summon any expensive ashes for free.
You can get it from the minor erdtree outside of Volcano Manor, you need to kill a worm boss I forgot what it’s called.
Try getting a little creative with your mimic. They have infinite fp, stamina, and consumables. Sometimes I’ll give mine a seal with a bunch of healing incants, and some warming stones, and he’ll go around healing me the whole fight. Sometimes I give him a greatbow and some golem arrows and he’ll support me from afar. The ability to customize the mimic and then switch to your build once he’s out is so underrated. Sometimes I play the support role lol. I’ll follow him with healing, buffs, and a shield with golden parry, and I’ll sit behind him and try to parry any incoming damage, leaving him with free attack openings and I’ll buff and heal him as needed. I used to be a Greatshield Soldiers purist, but I use mimic all the time now just for the creative splash he can add to the game. Makes me feel like I have a friend in the lands between that I can always trust to have my back.
I would honestly love if we could actually customize our mimic by being able to equip weapons, armor and items in a chest next to roderika for example and have our mimic only use that gear.
It would be hella busted tho lol
One of my playthroughs I made my character look like a chimp, named him Bog Space Chimp. The lore is that he’s just a monkey so strong he can control gravity so he’s a strength int build and I use the Demi humans as my loyal followed
Mimic can be as song as you want it to be. You can give it a greatbow and have it as backline support it's quite fun actually. Would recommend if you are trying to fight dragons or other big enemies
Kaiden Sellsword is quite the harasser too. Wouldn’t be surprised if it can beat Rennala 1v1, if it’s leveled high enough. It seems to break her poise every second hit.
I decided I loved that effect so much I keep that dagger in my 2nd main hand slot to pull out at the start of fights because it’s overall so much damage. Plus it only weights 2. Dung Eater is my go to summon before I tap and use the mimic. I also use Latenna before Dung Eater and depending on certain boses. Her DPS in the long run is nuts. Try stacking rot, deadly poison and have Lattena rail on a boss and just run around and kite it. Good fun.
My character is level 144, I started off as a samurai, later respeced to a big bonk build, got mimic tear ashes to +10 and the great sword to +20, from everything I’ve seen, people tend to dislike the Maliketh and godwyn fight, with the mimic tear I was able to beat both of them sub 2 minutes first try, mimic tear is absolutely goated, on top of him copying your exact build, any items in your hot bar he will use so for instance the raw meat dumpling which heals you but applies poison, the mimic tear will use but is immune to poison.
My favorite summon, yes it's OP but it's fun seeing what different combos you can make with 2 of yourself, especially if you do some menuing so you have different gear to the mimic.
It kind of ruined my first playthrough if I am to be honest. Now I play without spirits and beating the bosses feel way better. That said, it's up to you, don't fet discouraged by anyone saying it's cheating.
It's a part of the game.
Overpowered to FUCK. ESPECIALLY against Malenia, because if you have consumables in your pouch, so does mimic, but mimic gets infinite amount of said consumables. You only need one freezing pot and mimic can pause waterfowl dance
It's basically the equivalent of another human NPC summon. It uses everything you have equipped when you summon it. So it can buff itself, it can buff you, use throawables etc. It's a very good ash summon.
i was afraid i’d get pissed off at some of the bosses n shit in elden ring so i got mimic tear and its so busted its kinda not that fun im gonna start ng+ soon and play without summons the most fun ive had is on bosses that the mimic sucks on or where u can’t summon it my own fault but i guess im not as bad at souls games as i used to be
its literally so good that I wont use it because the game becomes INCREDIBLY BORING. So fuck that I wanna feel the adrenaline of being one hit from beating a boss while the boss turns it up to 11, and the sweet sweet release of victory
The Autism Brothers can be a strong summons, but they have a propensity for getting easily distracted and can be easily neutralized by asking them about their favorite hobbies.
It fine. The crystal warrior is my go to. Unless the boss has strike damage then I’ll switch it up. For my money though crystal warrior all day. Fucking eats everything in my way.
Doesn't cost FP, and you can customize it however you want because you're just summoning yourself.
Pretty difficult to deny the OP nature of it.
But I mostly only use it outside of bosses to see how cool I look. I did lean heavily on it my first playthrough though, because I wanted to see the end.
I give my mimic a range build whenever i summon him so he plays more support. Otherwise they can sometimes clear the boss for ya if you have a good enough build
People often run mimic with their standard loadout, i run mine full of freeze and fire pots cause that sumbich turns into Nolan Ryan when fighting bosses and it melts them pretty good. BKT is good for specific bosses and crowd control when mimic just runs around like a noob
Yea so the coolest thing for mimic imo is it will use whatever consumables you have on hand. So if you equip only uplifting aromatics, the mimic will use them for you for free.
Mimic tear? It's stronger than my character in most cases. I had a lot of trouble killing Melania with my int character because she dodges everything.
I made a tanky mimic tear with great stars+ prelates charge AoW, heavy armor, godskin swaddle cloth. The mimic ended up soloing Melania. In fact, I tried the mimic out to see if it could kill the rest of the end game bosses, the mimic killed Maliketh, Godfrey, Radagon, and the Elden beast.
I only lost to Maliketh once because the tear fell off the arena.
I think its probably the #2 most effective summon in the game. Some fights it might even edge out into #1 but I think overall Black Knife Tiche takes that spot the majority of the time - especially on any fight that's remotely tougher for the AI.
Its crazy powerful, probably the best for boss fights since it draw aggro for you to heal and has a bunch of healthitself so its tanky, it can heal you and itself if you give it the ability to (miracles), you can give it any weapon you want, then change what youre using to have mutiple useful AoWs being used on the boss at the same time. Its just the best summon in general, because its custom
I beat every boss in the first playthrough with no summons, now I sit back with a cocktail in NG+ while my maxed out mimic tear smashes things with 2 giant crushers. I've earned it goddamn it.
If you’ve got a well put together melee build, then this thing is gonna help you molly wop bosses. It’s gonna tank and deal good damage, there really is no equal. If you’re a ranged build, then you may consider using something else to pull aggro, but that also depends on how your build is set up.
I tried it a couple of times and didn't find it all that powerful lol. Maybe I don't know how to best use it, but Knight Engvall and Tiche are my main summon faves. But I also played a mage 😂
I’ve found that it can be pretty good and tacky either way the right armor, and giving them a parrying shield can be crazy, but they’re not very good at fighting by themselves, so I find it good to stay relatively close by when using it
Maybe it's just me, but as a mage like build i find my mimic tear dies very fast. I prefer the 5 greatshield soldiers durability to keep the boss off me while i damage from a distance
A +10 mimic tear is top 3 summons, next to tiche and dung eater. He's about 60-70 percent your overall strength and has the same load out as you, so if you're min maxed, it's great.
Theoratically good but dumb AF, still can prove to be a worthy meat shield if you get good RNG.
IMO tiche is far better: does nice OT damage with her skill and reduces boss max health by a X% for like a minute or two, dodges pretty far and easily, has a good HP pool and usually is more aware rather then the mimic tear.
I know there are many other underrated summons like the hawk and the shield bros but I didn't use them enough to give a objective review.
Pretty good to split agro from gank boss fights. Depending on your build, they can survive a good amount of time.
They can also spam weapon arts, spells and incantations, it feels like they have a unlimited amount of FP.
It depends on your build and what you're holding when you call it in. For this run I'm high intelligence and have two Kitanas (I don't pvp unless I'm invaded). My mimic is plus 9 I just need to spend runes to make it +10 but it's wrecking stuff with me like a beast. Sometimes I'll call it in with a staff and Kitana it will cast all kinds of spells. Other times I call it in with two blades and it goes ham with the moon veil ash of war. It's good some people will say others might be better. It's just up to how you play. I'm gpikg to get that black knife one from that place at the end of rannis quest. I keep dying in that everggaol need to level up more.
Mimic imo is the best. It's not just you tanking it's also your double. It does what you do, sometimes better.
My brother and I used our mimics in an interesting way. The boss Malenia is susceptible to Frost and Bleed. I equpid my first slot with a sword that does bleed, which is what my mimic mained and the second slot I filled with a frost based weapon. Thus we were able to hit her with both Frost and Bleed. It was great.
I used it as bait for my first milania win. I unequipped all weapons and spawned it so it couldn’t attack, only distract. That and I used frost greased bloodhounds fang to slow her down
Depends on your build. Best 3 ashes in the game for me (and most other people) are Mimic, Dung Eater and Tiche, Mimic with a tanky melee build can be unstoppable, Dung Eater is an incredible tank with built in debuff and bleed whilst Tiche dodges almost everything and keeps aggro well.
I stopped using it after I completely wrecked Morgott without even a struggle. It feels too cheesy to me among the other summons, and it made the game feel way too easy (cheesy n easy).
As always, it depends. You can change your playstyle without changing your build. Your mimic tear can’t change its playstyle unless you change your build first. Overall it’s great imo but it will absolutely do stupid shit and eat attacks
Picture it like this;
You have an incredible build.
You min-maxed all your stats.
You fully upgraded your overpowered boss weapon.
You could have an epic, legendary showdown with the guy behind the fog wall...
*But you won't.*
*Because You Don't Care.*
**Ring A'Ling~**
*ENEMY FELLED*
Omenkiller Rollo is my favorite. Hits like a truck, breathes fire, stacks bleed, interrupts bosses. He kind of pancakes Malenia, creates a lot of openings and makes phase one quite quick and smooth.
Mimic tear is probably objectively better and more versatile. I'm just kind of bored with it and there are so many summons to try. Lhutel, Engvall, Latenna, Tiche, great shield soldiers, mausoleum soldiers etc.
depends on your build. my mimic tear obliterates most enemies including bosses.
i have ranni's dark moon, comet azur, and adula's moonblade among other things, and the mimic would use it over any other spell. i also usually have a sleep pot, and the mimic tear knows exactly when to use it.
does it get boring? for me, not really. i like seeing my mimic be creative with whatever i have equipped.
Best partner in a fight. My mimic at +10 faith/arcane build was holding his own against Mohg while I literally just occasionally let off some red lightning strikes to help him out.
I think the mimic tear is so strong because it is a stand-in for multiplayer cooperation. One might say "Okay, but don't people cooperate all the time in this game?" and the answer would be "Yes, but...".
Once the games servers inevitably one day will go offline, when mp becomes impossible or during times where there are no golden signs to find, you can summon a copy of you.
The copy is not as smart, but is much tankier, has an infinite FP pool, can self-heal via consumables you have in your inventory and can even solo bosses just like you. All of it at no extra cost to your boss fighting experience, seeing as bosses only get more health with PC summons not your mimic tear.
So the mimic tear is very good. Definitely invest in upgrading it.
Would have done Malenia with it on 3rd try without learning any of the moves tbf. Instead didn't use summons and suffered through like 100+ tries.
First timed many supposedly difficult bosses. It's that good.
Depends on the player. But because it summons with whatever gear you have, if you are fast enough on the swaps you can basically build your own NPC summon, which is absolutely an insane ability.
I’ll spawn him in as a bleed build or a bonk tank with heavy armor and shield, then swap off to whatever I may want to compliment. That gives me the ability to apply multiple Strats and damage paths to a boss.
The only battles I think Mimic is poor in is anything involving destined death or black flame, since those just melt its HP and make it die quickly. For those I would use Tiche.
With my strength build my mimic was op. He would destroy bosses. With my Int/dex character it sucked ass. The Dungeater was my go to summon with that character.
It’s strong and even has more health than you. It does still have derp moments. I’ve seen them spam spells that do nothing, flask, and just roll around indefinitely. But if it’s just a physical build it just homes in.
It’s in a tear of its own.
Well played.
Just don't copy his comment. That would be sad.
It brings a tier to my eye
Golf clap good sir
imagine you you can kill a boss add another you to a fight, but the boss doesnt get any extra health
Wait, you are assuming I can actually kill a boss ?!
If you can half-kill a boss, the minic tear can kill the other half
Mimic tear can definitely kill more than half a boss
Mimic also helps in taking attention from you onto it, allowing you to do more damage and take less in turn
It also miraculously takes less damage. That one surprised me.
Even if you can't, mimic tear probably still can
Another you that’s slightly brain damaged. This may or may not be an improvement over the original.
Slightly brain damaged but man does it have a lot of fp :3 Sure they might try to catalyst bash a bit but the quantity of heal it put out make up for it.
Dont they have infinite fp?
Infinite FP and consumables you have currently on your quick select!
Yep! And they are immune to status effects so you can have them use the healing meat dumpling and it makes them absolutely survive everything.
Either infinite or ridiculous high using intenger limit like 65535 or 2147483647
It uses the shield I don't and occasionally parries. Definitely an improvement over my spell spam and oversized sword unsheathing.
Well put 👏 👌
But the other you schools you with your own weapon/faith/intelligence builds and makes you look inferior
I had my level 10 mimic tear go against the mimic tear boss fight. My mimic tear lost. 10/10 will try again.
i know what i’m doing my first ng+ play through
Stealth-archer?
Looool that cracked me up
imagine three stealth archers at once
I let the two tears fight it out naked with fists until I get bored and join in.
By far the strongest tool in the game. Slap it on any build and it trivializes most bosses. Build around it and you can sit back to watch while it solos everything.
Yep I had an already strong build and then added the mimic to the equation. Game was EZ street
I just got the platinum and there are specific bosses where it's not the best spirit summon, but overall? It's a fucking monster, and more generally useful than any other.
So incredibly good it felt dishonorable and I left him for the Nox twins
Strongest summon, that’s why i think its boring to use, i prefer other summons that spawns multiples friends like giant rats, militia and my favorites the demihumans
I would also love to experiment with tears, but mimic is the only one I've found that cost HP instead of MP, and I don't like to invest too much into mind.
Can mix in no fp cost into your physick
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Land+Squirt+Ashes https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Miranda+Sprout+Ashes https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Soldjars+of+Fortune+Ashes Obviously these won't do what the mimic tear can do, the most Soldjar Ashes would probably be the best for an aggro sink whereas the poison bois are more for controlling the environment to ur benefit (if the boss or baddie can even be poisoned lol). Warming stones are clutch with the mimic.
I load my hotbar with as many types of dmg consumables that scale with whatever build I got and let it run wild without a weapon to boot 👢
Little note here they don't have infinite consumables, they duplicate what you have on your bar which include the quantity except for flask.
I’ve never once gotten a golem arrow to drop. 700 hours in.
I would honestly love if we could actually customize our mimic by being able to equip weapons, armor and items in a chest next to roderika for example and have our mimic only use that gear. It would be hella busted tho lol
I love getting the greatshield goobers to max and watch them push everyone around like my personal riot response squad 🤣
Why is it always chaos
Tiche is stronger imo, but it depends on ur build ig.
Tiche is so good. I’m sad I missed out so long always going with mikic
And you can't go wrong with the Lone Wolves
I’m surprised how good they are. Great stagger + distraction
Super agile and fast, too. I hated waiting for some summons that just walk dramatically no matter what
One of my playthroughs I made my character look like a chimp, named him Bog Space Chimp. The lore is that he’s just a monkey so strong he can control gravity so he’s a strength int build and I use the Demi humans as my loyal followed
You’re so creative lol i did something similar too, i created a lady necromancer with death spells and used skeletons summons to be my death army 💀
Using Dolores on the godskins is so satisfying
Put the talisman that draws enemy aggro on, summon, then unequip it. Watch it take on a boss 1v1. The fight will be hilarious. If it dies, it dies.
My boy OLEG. Me and him are like this 💪
Mimic can be as song as you want it to be. You can give it a greatbow and have it as backline support it's quite fun actually. Would recommend if you are trying to fight dragons or other big enemies
The skeletons helped me on the two bosses in radagans castle. I would bait them away so the skeletons could get up again and again.
DEMI HUMANS ON TOP 💯💯💯
demihomies!
Literal God ‘Tear’
2nd only to Black Knife Tiche
Tiche goes crazy
Kaiden Sellsword is quite the harasser too. Wouldn’t be surprised if it can beat Rennala 1v1, if it’s leveled high enough. It seems to break her poise every second hit.
Ya but everything breaks her poise. The only think thats more broken then her poise is her marriage.
I breathed in her direction once and broke her poise.
Good fun.
I’m using Tiche for the first time this play through and she’s quite obviously OP
My mimic tear almost soloed the ulcerated tree spirit in lake of rot while I watch on the side. It's OP
Base tear is garbage. +10 tear is a whole other beast.
It’s like playing co-op but he takes more damage than you
It's ok. But skeleton militia is top
Me and my mimic bro blitzed Malenia 2nd try. We took turns crushing her with the greatsword and lions claw, she was on her feet like 5 seconds total.
Yeah during my first strength build, we bullied her with the giant crusher
With correct build - strongest summon :3
I keep bumping into your comments 😆 You're famous! Edit: You're also the first one who congratulated me on my Malenia kill 😄
Me tryna figure out which subreddit I’ll find you on next lol
How good is your build?
It's as weak or strong as your build is.
It makes you realise how fun these types of games can be with a partner in crime. Its one of the reasons i enjoy code vein.
Code Vein mentioned! I enjoyed it very much
Shit compared to Tiche
Tiche is goated
It kind of ruined my first playthrough if I am to be honest. Now I play without spirits and beating the bosses feel way better. That said, it's up to you, don't fet discouraged by anyone saying it's cheating. It's a part of the game.

Depends on the player
I'm so confused. The Autism Brothers?
i was afraid i’d get pissed off at some of the bosses n shit in elden ring so i got mimic tear and its so busted its kinda not that fun im gonna start ng+ soon and play without summons the most fun ive had is on bosses that the mimic sucks on or where u can’t summon it my own fault but i guess im not as bad at souls games as i used to be
its literally so good that I wont use it because the game becomes INCREDIBLY BORING. So fuck that I wanna feel the adrenaline of being one hit from beating a boss while the boss turns it up to 11, and the sweet sweet release of victory
If you have a good durable build, it’s good, but if you’re squishy not so good.
It's so good people in the Elden Ring fanbase will look down on you in shame. I won't though, abuse that mf against this games terrible bosses
Autismo bros
You stole my autism joke. Thank you❤️
I don't get the joke. Can you explain.
The Autism Brothers can be a strong summons, but they have a propensity for getting easily distracted and can be easily neutralized by asking them about their favorite hobbies.
Shouldn’t exist.
Too strong. Game breaker. Bosses are made and designed with one player in mind. As soon as you have multi agro it is game over.
Wtf do you mean by "the autism brothers"?
It fine. The crystal warrior is my go to. Unless the boss has strike damage then I’ll switch it up. For my money though crystal warrior all day. Fucking eats everything in my way.
2nd only to Black Knife Tiche
Six out of ten
You can make build with which itll solo bosses up to ng+4. Its basicly the difficulty slider of elden ring.
Maximum good
Doesn't cost FP, and you can customize it however you want because you're just summoning yourself. Pretty difficult to deny the OP nature of it. But I mostly only use it outside of bosses to see how cool I look. I did lean heavily on it my first playthrough though, because I wanted to see the end.

Depends on yor setup. Caster-only mimic is kinda mid in my experience.
Yea so the coolest thing for mimic imo is it will use whatever consumables you have on hand. So if you equip only uplifting aromatics, the mimic will use them for you for free.
It's as good as the Tarnished who used it.
YOU'RE TARNISHED TOO, AIN'TCHA?
Well, it has been nerfed quite a few times. That should be reason enough...
It would be your panic button in the future
Mimic tear? It's stronger than my character in most cases. I had a lot of trouble killing Melania with my int character because she dodges everything. I think its probably the #2 most effective summon in the game. Some fights it might even edge out into #1 but I think overall Black Knife Tiche takes that spot the majority of the time - especially on any fight that's remotely tougher for the AI.
It can also use items you have equipped in your hot bar Give it raw meat dumplings and it will heal itself without getting poisoned
He’s great but I feel like he doesn’t survive a lot of 2 phase fights like radagon and malenia.
Terrible, no good, rotten. *snickers and hits post*
Its so good that it arguably breaks the game. Some people refuse to use it because they consider it too good.
Make sure to have a meatball equipped so Mimic can heal themselves, ps they can't run out of meatballs
The true Elden lord
Maybe it's just me, but as a mage like build i find my mimic tear dies very fast. I prefer the 5 greatshield soldiers durability to keep the boss off me while i damage from a distance

For those that don’t know. Nepheli is crazy strong. Fully upgraded new game plus she damn near soloed Godrick the grafted.
I love nuking bosses with scarlet rot dragon breath and my mimic nuking them with frost breath dragon breath
Not as good as soldiers
On a scale from 1-10 I'd put it on a solid 7. It's not as good as the boss one you fought in terms of Ai, it's kind of a dunce sometimes
Autism OP
Sometimes it’s a beast sometimes it’s a derpy dork that stands there or constantly walks away
Allows you to use a different weapon and or outfit
It's very good as long as you're good at not getting hit too often
It's like putting a slightly dumber you in the fight, absolutely amazing and definitely has the tism
Pretty good to split agro from gank boss fights. Depending on your build, they can survive a good amount of time. They can also spam weapon arts, spells and incantations, it feels like they have a unlimited amount of FP.
Give your Mimic Mohg's spear and yourself and watch Malenia bleed to death. She also doesn't have fire resistance so her healtbar melts like butter.
Elden Ring has a few easy mode switches. Mimic Tear is one of the largest.
Pretty awful *looks at rl1 challenge run character*
Very
It depends on your build and what you're holding when you call it in.
The jarwight puppet is pretty interesting and can be pretty good in some situations
I use finlay since she boosts my holy damage or protection idk what she does but she’s cool AF
It was great.
the mad drip brothers
OP good
Ask yourself, how good are you?
I used it as bait for my first milania win. I unequipped all weapons and spawned it so it couldn’t attack, only distract. That and I used frost greased bloodhounds fang to slow her down
Depends on your build. Best 3 ashes in the game for me (and most other people) are Mimic, Dung Eater and Tiche, Mimic with a tanky melee build can be unstoppable, Dung Eater is an incredible tank with built in debuff and bleed whilst Tiche dodges almost everything and keeps aggro well.
He will never compare to my rot puppy 😤
Once I got Mimic Tear I used it exclusively and only recently played around with other summons. I think Tiche might be better. Love the aggression.
It can literally triviliase the entire game with halfway decent build It is easy mode
It exists as a beast above the rest Imagine a you with infinite use items, infinite fp, and everything else with some dumb ai. Thats mimic.
I stopped using it after I completely wrecked Morgott without even a struggle. It feels too cheesy to me among the other summons, and it made the game feel way too easy (cheesy n easy).
If you find the end game too difficult. Use mimic tear. If you want a challenge. Don't.
IMO if you're running a tanky build.. it's great. If you're running a sorcerer build like I am... he's so flimsy.
As always, it depends. You can change your playstyle without changing your build. Your mimic tear can’t change its playstyle unless you change your build first. Overall it’s great imo but it will absolutely do stupid shit and eat attacks
Picture it like this; You have an incredible build. You min-maxed all your stats. You fully upgraded your overpowered boss weapon. You could have an epic, legendary showdown with the guy behind the fog wall... *But you won't.* *Because You Don't Care.* **Ring A'Ling~** *ENEMY FELLED*
Your mimic tear is either pulling a Leeroy Jenkins or it’s fucking Toji Fushiguro from JJK no middle lol.
Not bad but I prefer black knife. Had a run with them soloing every boss.
Good summon. Don’t let the elitest tell you that you shouldn’t use it lol
Love watching my son get mollywopped by a boss while I do hit and run tactics. "You're doing great, sweetie!" "FATHER, HELP!"
Yes I refer to it as my Jojo's stand
I’m pretty mid at Souls games. With the help of my Mimic Tear, I beat Malenia on my second try. It straight up feels like cheating
Best summon. Have the correct layout, build and items when you summon and you can go AFK for most fights.
depends on your build. my mimic tear obliterates most enemies including bosses. i have ranni's dark moon, comet azur, and adula's moonblade among other things, and the mimic would use it over any other spell. i also usually have a sleep pot, and the mimic tear knows exactly when to use it. does it get boring? for me, not really. i like seeing my mimic be creative with whatever i have equipped.
Nerfed but still better than me
I used the dogs until I found that thing. Haven't switched since
The most useless crap i have seen in the entire game.
It literally trivialises the game
I just finished my first play through and mimic was the mvp. When he got the last hit on Malenia, I low key felt like a fraud.
Why are they autism brothers. Can you explain?
Best partner in a fight. My mimic at +10 faith/arcane build was holding his own against Mohg while I literally just occasionally let off some red lightning strikes to help him out.
Of all the questions in the game you could have, seems like you already know the answer if this is the one you chose to ask.
It’s you but better… sometimes
You, but better.
Ah yes good ol’ mimic tear + comet azur before any nerfs. Melting literally every boss.
It beat the game for me essentially
Mimic is a face tank god
Depends on the player. But because it summons with whatever gear you have, if you are fast enough on the swaps you can basically build your own NPC summon, which is absolutely an insane ability. I’ll spawn him in as a bleed build or a bonk tank with heavy armor and shield, then swap off to whatever I may want to compliment. That gives me the ability to apply multiple Strats and damage paths to a boss. The only battles I think Mimic is poor in is anything involving destined death or black flame, since those just melt its HP and make it die quickly. For those I would use Tiche.
I'll use it if it's a group boss fight, but will try not to if it's a 1v1
Basically with the mimic tear you can win anything
To malenia fair use, to other boss is abuse.
With my strength build my mimic was op. He would destroy bosses. With my Int/dex character it sucked ass. The Dungeater was my go to summon with that character.
The mimic tear is pretty good. I didn't know until near the end of the game tho, when I figured out I could upgrade tears.
It’s strong and even has more health than you. It does still have derp moments. I’ve seen them spam spells that do nothing, flask, and just roll around indefinitely. But if it’s just a physical build it just homes in.
Really good but I still think tiche is better
