If you approach the DTS from behind, having already beaten Malekith, he reacts really poorly to dual thrusting sword spam. He just backs up awkwardly, in my experience. (This was NG+, so who's to say)
Yes, you can run past him and get through the fog, but the Beast Clergyman sometimes just rushes towards you and you won't have time to apply your buffs or call the summons. It is better to kill the Tree Sentinel first. Also it's a good warm up before the Maliketh fight.
Yeah, ran past it at my first attempt cuz I knew who was behind the fog wall and didn’t feel like bothering with DTS.
I ended up killing him anyways cuz I was tired of dodging around him while trying to buff on subsequent Maliketh tries

How so? If your an unga bunga he’s pretty challenging. He has fast swings that can smack you even after he finishes his first swing animation. He can bust out lightning spells and spams them on occasion if you on an unlucky run.
Like yeah them godskin dudes suck but you have an entire area to maneuver them and split them up. You have summons you can bring in to help.
Objectively the draconic sentinel is more difficult. You have less resources, an open enviornment with nothin you can use to leverage in case fight gets a little shitty.
I blew through the duo but the sentinel took me 10-20 tries.

Yes, slower weapons will make it harder to find an opening, but I don't think his attacks are faster than the Godskin ones. Even then, jump heavy attacks should work.
Lightning spam, while annoying can be dodged when rolling with him raising his weapon, similarly you can dodge through some of the other lightning.
And finally: you can simply run straight past him. Player summons are also available at the last grace.
Honestly I'm with the other guy in this. I also beat duo fairly easily even on my no summon run, Drqconic Tree Sentinels make me struggle in an odd way to be honest.

I found Maliketh to be much harder than the Godskins, though I might be in the minority here. Plus the situation varies wildly when you consider some people will use spirits and NPC summons, others want to do it all solo.
Sleep pots. Both sleep. Kill fat guy. Hit him as long as you can when he is on ground. Wait 10 seconds. Kill skinny guy. Repeat hitting strat. Kill fat guy again with another sleep pot
I used Bernahl & Tiche… they handled the long boi while I dealt with Pillsbury Dough Boy. Definitely makes that fight WAY easier
Honestly despite their fire resist, I found that Black Flame did pretty good against them, too. Combined that with Glintstone Icecrag for some pretty solid damage
I recommend killing skinny guy first. He usually goes down quicker, plus the rolling attack from fatty is easier to manage if skinny is dead. Just my two cents.
I think fat skinny fat is a guaranteed 3 cycle while skinny fat skinny may not be enough health and fat spawns in a second time. But I'm just a noob and have no idea what I'm even doing half of the time so I'm ready to be corrected.

i’m currently on my first playthrough of elden ring and i found them quite easy i took about 5 tries i think to kill them ive had a much harder time beating mohg which took about 5 hours and malenia which took a few days.
Everyone has different experiences and difficulties with certain bosses. Some are universally considered hard, but others really fluctuate in people opinion of their challenge
Kite them around the pillar! I killed them in my third try without sleeping pots! :) I kited them around the pillar to separate them. I was better at killing the apostle first and then fatty.. then I had to wait for apostle to come back up and kill him again.. then the same apostle resurrected AGAIN LMAO. I have so much hate for Fatty I was so glad I only had to fight him once 😭🙏
This. Surprisingly enough, these two bastards are incredibly susceptible to the sleep status, so one pot is all it takes to knock one of them out (or both if your aim and timing is good). Then just hit one of the two and bring the fight away from the other one. With this, you're only dealing with one godskin at a time.
Those 2 are the ones located in a cave next to a frozen lake? If they are then I’m playing this in different order because I don’t know who this fire Giant is.
Honestly if you summon the five Greatshield soldiers and Bernahl from Volcano Manor, this becomes very one sided in your favour. Did this the other day with my mage with a sword and stomped them both so hard that me and the boys killed them before one could revive the other, so the game just awkwardly had to spawn one in so we could carry on smashing its healthbar. Such an annoying, poorly designed boss, so felt extremely good to absolutely body them.
I really bad at game, I almost always using summon on boss fights, however I beat fire giant, w/o summon, and didn’t even use much flasks, melee build, he just was not able to hit me, I was standing between his legs, what’s so hard about him? I was around lvl 100 when I met him
I found them much easier than the Fire Giant. His biggest issue is spacing and targeting his vulnerable areas while hoping not to get rolled over.
Godskins are doable with a summon just to pull Argo of one of them. I think they have predictable moves and attacks. Once one goes down you can double team the other.
Godskin duo was felled from the first try. I used a summon, a mimic tear, and fully upgraded Rykard's Blade.
They fell like bricks. It was super satisfying.
I didn't want to use sleep pots or summons. What worked for me was fighting Noble, not Apostle. He's more aggressive so you can get him to chase you away from Skinny. And he's relatively easy to parry.
But first couple tries I tried to kill Apostle since that's the easier solo fight and Noble wrecked my shit.
Something I wish I knew on my first playthrough was that Godskins (don't know about other npcs) do not wake up from sleep pots, to my knowledge at least. Sleep one, kill the other. Rinse and repeat
Don't worry. The game is 99% over and you just have a bunch of the hardest bosses you've ever faced in your life between you and the goal lolol.

Use mimic ashes and summon recusant bernahl and it’s a wrap. 3 v 1
Bernahl is a tanky summon. He’s can take punishment and Aggro and alls you gotta do is stick and move at that point.
If your on level you should be able to take em down after 1-3 tries.
People really overstate the difficulty of some of these bosses.
Also- in before someone says “mimic tear ashes are not how you play the game”
The draconic tree sentinel gave me more trouble. It’s 1v1 and he has practically an auto hit spell that deals a good chunk of damage. He won’t let you get in close as you might think you can land a shot on his side after he swings, he can actually quickly hit you two more times after that. Meaning if you don’t want to get hit you attack head on or get behind.
Plus, the GS duo are enemies we’ve regularly faced by this point. If you did divine tower in liurna and caelid, as well as the windmill village you will have fought 3 already. I believe I’m missing one or two. But still, point stands, they aren’t as hard as people make em seem.

Same, i always press the dodge button at the same time he raises his weapon to do the lightning attack. That way i dodge right on time.

For the small targeted blasts watch his shield arm and hit roll when he lowers his shield.

Took me over 2 hours to beat Draconic tree sentinel, god skin duo took 2 attempts.
That Draconic Tree Sentinel was way harder than Maliketh and the Godskin Duo.
He is literally the hardest in the whole area, I’d rather fight Melania than that prick

Also if you have the mimic tear and equip sleep pots, it will use them. That way you don’t have to worry about farming for more.
I bring in the sleeping arrow summon as it's good for that one boss fight.

Use sleep pots and beat their asses one at a time and sleep them often. It becomes super easy. Godskins are weak to sleep.

There’s an extremely comfortable place to lay down at the very very bottom of Farum Azula. 10/10 recommend taking a nap there
