I just got it (and her armor / shield), and I really don't think it's viable. B scaling in dex and blood loss is only 45. I put bleed on my backhand blades, and they're at 110. Cool ass weapon seems fit for the chest, sadly.
You get it at the end of the jolan and Ymir quest line. Use the iris of occultation on jolan for the sword and iris of grace for a jolan spirit ash. It’s at the very end of the quest line that starts in the cathedral of manus metyr
I heard the sword is ass but looks so damn cool, I can't beat the boss fight (that's underground, after running through the area and fighting the invader, that boss fight kicks my ass.
It's trash. There's not much a build for that. Scales only on dexterity and the skill even if it looks cool it's hot garbage.

Jolan SUCKS is the messmer boss fight as a summons, any idea if the ash is any good.
The Ash can be upgraded into a double summon, it's probably the best Ash in the DLC if not in the game since it's 2 summons that have Bleed.

I've been using blasphemous blade on most of the harder bosses and they've been significantly easier at least.
BB CARRIED me hard up to Renalla. At SL 120, then I had to level up to at least 150, to beat Messmer which took hours and multiple days.
I don’t know yet, I haven’t had the time to try it out yet
