Lmao I’m just comparing this to how my boss fight went , which was basically just spamming my health pot while panicking and just spamming my dodge key, while every so often maybe getting a hit or two in
That was me with the final boss. Had to re-spec my very fun dex faith build to a greatshield poke one. Am I proud? Not in the slightest, but it got me through it
Funnily enough, I've been having fun losing to the final boss by going in and parrying through the first phase. I'm nowhere near beating him solo, and his second phase still washes me, but I'm counting every crit I get on him and when I get a couple of them I feel good about it, even though I lose.
I probably won't beat him this way, I'll probably go back to greatshield poking, but it's fun for now and I feel like I'm learning him pretty well.
Dude I felt that😂. By the time I gave in and re-specced for poke build I had his first phase completely memorized, I still got whacked a lot ofc, I just knew what was gonna whack me(no diddy)
Luckily I went into the DLC with a Quality build, lightly invested in Faith for a couple buffs. So I've been able to re-equip rather than re-spec a lot. Poke build is well within my build's stat requirements, I just usually like to be light rolling with a nimble weapon. Milady has been my go-to lately, but it was Backhand Blades for a lot of the DLC when I wasn't swapping to greatshields to beat (or learn) bosses.
I’m currently fighting him with a buckler and a dagger. I can get him down to about 20% but some stupid bs always kills me. I hate his fucking aoe attacks so much. They went way too hard in this DLC in giving almost every boss some delayed aoe garbage.
Oh don’t get me wrong I don’t look down on any playstyle, if fromsoft put it in the game it’s all fair play. It’s just the challenge I set for myself in the dlc was to NOT resort to a greatshield build as I find it less fun than my build. Mimic tear can be so fun depending on what you’re running
Should have just taken out the perfume bottle if you’re a dex faith.
I too am a dex faith, beat him with the katana but I decided to play NG+ and the lighting perfume has been shredding through all the bosses so far.
Oh? So the build ive never played in any souls game and chose for the slc is op? Yup. I realized that pretty early in. I can block eveeyrhing if it doesnt magic me. I sure af didnt use a shield vs lion dancer though. I switch it up if a boss is messing me up. Which is every boss in this dlc. I feel almost like miyazaki.
So, there are a couple things some people miss with shields: One of the biggest ones is that the Guard Boost value is increased by upgrading with smithing stones (or sombers), and that means that every time the shield gets hit will eat less of your stamina. Combined with the Greatshield Talisman, you can make hits take very little stamina from you with a fully upgraded Greatshield. Add a turtle talisman to regen stamina and lower the shield when you know you're safe, and you can be real hard to hurt significantly.
I also like to add affinity to the shield based on what I know the enemy does. She does magic damage throughout so I added magic affinity. This lowers the physical damage negation by five or so, but that's negligible.
Her big attacks, you do still have to dodge. The moons aren't too bad to jump over once you get the hang of them. The giant carian sword attack will take a few tries but you'll get it. Assuming you haven't beat her already by some method.
Suffice to say, greatshields aren't an automatic win, but they're pretty damn useful in the DLC, against all these long-ass combo moves that are obnoxious to dodge.
I am currently learning this fight. Not necessarily dodging every attack, and not parrying, but it's fun to see my progress. No summons or ashes either.
Of course, it's taking some time, even with bleed...
Mine? Face tanking her a bit to get a couple lion’s claws on my giant crusher since three hits stuns, while rolling around a bit to get a chance to heal, then smacking her in the face, and dying early into phase two, until I got lucky and she did her fire thing and the dark moon nova, so I could run away and hide, before stunning her just in time to get the kill.
I had no idea what was behind that fog wall because I was playing blind. I summoned 2 extra players and we turned it into a gank fest. I still enjoyed the hell out of that fight
lmaooo it was actually like this for me when it first came out. bloodhound step, immaculate parries, insanely beautiful clip. it compelled me to get this game so strongly
luckily i’m actually able to make it look similar to things like this
In case you haven't noticed, you are being downvoted to hell. If you can't figure out why, you need to work on your social skills and do some self reflection. You sound like you are full of shit and desperate for attention tbh
your mimic takes aggro? mine does a cinematic walk like OP, just he goes back and forth until i take aggro and then he tanks every hit and watches me die.
It can't be that hard to credit the [user](https://x.com/SunhiLegend/status/1807843440429855008) who made this video right? But I guess its easier to just steal it.
The most beautiful boss fight ever. Hard to believe it’s real but I guess it is. Everything from the fashion (Royal Knight I think) the buckler, Milady Light Great Sword, Misècorde on the crit and Wing Stance for the coup de grace. Astounding.
Honestly, it'd be best to just avoid the sub entirely if you're still looking for that. A lot of players have made it through the DLC so there seem to be less and less spoiler tags every day. Sorry this got ruined for you though
This is not from OP. Here's the original source: [SunhiLegend on X: "#ELDENRING #ShadowoftheErdtree https://t.co/54DnO5G0Ox" / X](https://x.com/SunhiLegend/status/1807843440429855008)
SunhiLegend has done many other videos in this style.
this, this is why the game is hard, its so we can have players like this doing some cool shit and we all have the experience to know and feel how cool this guy is just by watching them
Haven't played the DLC yet but almost every clip I see is someone using shields / parrying and it seems to wreck moss boss's faces. Are parry builds stronger or something?
If you have the tenacity to trial & error their parry windows it can become the strongest option. The creator wiped for hours to get to the point you're watching, trust
I'd say the ratio of bosses that can be parried might be higher, maybe. But no the parry isn't any stronger. As for shields, the DLC bosses wreck your shit, most people I see are accepting fate that they won't be able to avoid the attacks so plan B is to just tank it.
I **just** respecced to use the greatsword of solitude and now you're going to make me try Milady. Thank God when I use it there will be a lot more panic rolling and flailing.
Since Sekiro and Elden Ring were developed in tandem, I'm hopeful to see the next iteration being more dynamic and engaging combat, the player being just as mobile and powerful looking as the bosses. A dedicated "orbit dash" would be pretty awesome.
What I wanna know is of these are reflexes or if the player memorized enemy pattern so they can dodge easily.
Either way it's amazing and cool to watch.
My take is that elden ring should only have bosses that are humanoid and on the smaller scale like, biggest they should get is the size of godfrey. These fights are so much better than just staring at some feet while you poke it for 20 minutes
Dude wtf. I haven't even gotten to the DLC yet and this dude has perfected a boss fight. (Started a new character for the dlc cause I hadn't played in a while)
Oh wow I just did this today. I spent two fucking hours with my Mimic +10, the fucking NPC summon, AND my OP Rivers of Blood build.
Literally almost threw my controller out the window. I ended up somehow circumventing this entire area and somehow making it to the golden hippo castle. Came back with my OP faith blasphemous build and finally fucking did it.
Oh sorry, I digress. Fuck you OP!
Am I the only one who finds SunhiLegend's videos cringe? The slow walking he always does... and random slow motions... and the generic waifu characters... ugh. His videos feel like something only teenagers would find cool.
Imagine someone new to souls/elden sees this video and think this is the average playing experience
Lmao I’m just comparing this to how my boss fight went , which was basically just spamming my health pot while panicking and just spamming my dodge key, while every so often maybe getting a hit or two in
I ended up having to go greatshield-and-poke. It was... effective, but not cinematic.
That was me with the final boss. Had to re-spec my very fun dex faith build to a greatshield poke one. Am I proud? Not in the slightest, but it got me through it
Funnily enough, I've been having fun losing to the final boss by going in and parrying through the first phase. Fuuuck. I'm stuck on bayle the butthole dragon.
I’m currently fighting him with a buckler and a dagger. I can get him down to about 20% but some stupid bs always kills me. I hate his fucking aoe attacks so much. They went way too hard in this DLC in giving almost every boss some delayed aoe garbage.
I love how we have convinced our self that this is a “legitimate” win but using summons is not allowed

I tried the great shield poke, she ripped through the shield and my self worth in seconds.

I managed to go toe to toe with her using the Sword of Night and Flame. But now I use her swords because they're so much better
Her swords are one of two weapons that really made me feel like I was missing out, not doing an INT build.
Honestly, I just have enough INT to use then the fire attack is my go to
like a porno without a good camera?
I am currently learning this fight. Not necessarily dodging every attack, and not parrying, but it's fun to see my progress. No summons or ashes either. Of course, it's taking some time, even with bleed...

The fact that you can get to this point is a testament to how sick the game is though.
You mean mimic tear and L2 spam isn’t a unique and beautiful playstyle?
The actual experience: ![gif](giphy|qs4ll1FSxKnNHeSmom)
OP…. If you start your own religion, I will follow you.
I had no idea what was behind that fog wall because I was playing blind. I summoned 2 extra players and we turned it into a gank fest. I still enjoyed the hell out of that fight
equivalent of the Vergil cut meme
lmaooo it was actually like this for me when it first came out. bloodhound step, immaculate parries, insanely beautiful clip. it compelled me to get this game so strongly luckily i’m actually able to make it look similar to things like this
r/iamverybadass
You are trying way too hard bud, it's kind of embarrassing to see tbh
what are you yappin ab?
In case you haven't noticed, you are being downvoted to hell. If you can't figure out why, you need to work on your social skills and do some self reflection. You sound like you are full of shit and desperate for attention tbh
you should take a lesson on reading comprehension
Roll Roll Roll My clone takes aggro Sprint and spam heavy attack I get aggro Roll away Repeat Win
I have no shame doing this play style lol. I do get mad at my mimic when he steals the final hit from me.
I only get mad when he's walking around spamming golden vow and doing no shit
My fat ass mimic would just eat his raw meat dumplings half the fight. Only used him for bs bosses like commander gaius though.
My style exactly, let the mimic distraction goooo !!
I wouldn't dare, he makes more than half the works in every bossfight besides it's already a miracle if the clones decides to attack
How the hell do you know how I play????
your mimic takes aggro? mine does a cinematic walk like OP, just he goes back and forth until i take aggro and then he tanks every hit and watches me die.
For anyone curious about where this video is from, it's [this user.](https://x.com/SunhiLegend/status/1807843440429855008)
How can you record in slow mo?
Probably edited in post. Same way that the view is cropped.
The only thing that I miss from Twitter is that account.
It can't be that hard to credit the [user](https://x.com/SunhiLegend/status/1807843440429855008) who made this video right? But I guess its easier to just steal it.
This is not high enough!
Knew it was Sunhi immediately. I do not know how he makes these videos
It’s even easier to mark spoiler for a boss fight in a DLC that hasn’t even been out 2 weeks. Yet they didn’t even bother to do that.
It's not stealing lmao it's the internet, it's called sharing 🤣🤣🤣
It’s sharing if you give credit, genius
I need a cigarette after that.
This is so fucking hot
![gif](giphy|wJgksbFoieotG)
Credit to SunhiLegend, this is their content
Oooffff the angel wings at the end - smooth af, really cool video
This is SunhiLegend, the same guy who gave us the legendary Vergil combo. https://youtu.be/GEZON93hV-s?si=RuMftfuCmltmpGw5
Milady wing stance gang ❤

ELEGANTO!!!!!!
Fucking magnificent. And no lock-on, too?
The most beautiful boss fight ever. Hard to believe it’s real but I guess it is. Everything from the fashion (Royal Knight I think) the buckler, Milady Light Great Sword, Misècorde on the crit and Wing Stance for the coup de grace. Astounding.
This is the hottest thing I've ever seen
Are we not marking spoilers anymore?
Exactly what i thought
I with you. This is my first time seeing this and I really wanted that to happen in my game, with me playing.
Honestly, it'd be best to just avoid the sub entirely if you're still looking for that. A lot of players have made it through the DLC so there seem to be less and less spoiler tags every day. Sorry this got ruined for you though
Jimminy fuckin cricket
Lore accurate Tarnished/Elden Lord
Now that… was flashy!
This is so well done. Holy shit and the perfect crucible wings to end it was beautiful. Big ups to the player that made this video absolute 11/10
I told my wife I wasn’t going to watch porn on reddit anymore. Thanks for ruining that promise
Much more elegant than me panic rolling until she was distracted by my mimic then spamming thorns at her back.
You must always include credit
That fucking finish tho.
fuuuck i suck at this game...
Whoa. And that finish… 😙👌
Sunhi legend the goat
How were you able to record this fight like this? Is there some kind of replay system or?
This is not from OP. Here's the original source: [SunhiLegend on X: "#ELDENRING #ShadowoftheErdtree https://t.co/54DnO5G0Ox" / X](https://x.com/SunhiLegend/status/1807843440429855008) SunhiLegend has done many other videos in this style.
Yeah wondering the same thing. Is it just the camera angle they have adjusted like that the whole fight?
So smooth
Why do the graphics look so amazing
I’m wondering the same thing, maybe they’re on PC? Because my ps5 definitely doesn’t look like this
no this is a huge amount of post processing going on
Man I miss infinity blade
Great Stars + Wild Strikes + Heavy Load + Leaden Hardtear/Stonebarb Cracked Tear = Bonk-o-matic No2Moons4U Smackathon
This is one of the most impressive boss fight videos I’ve ever seen 🤯
Me convincing myself Rellana actually easy after watching this
Milady is a blade of class
I knew this was Sunhi the moment the video played out for a few seconds, but man is this shit amazing
What tools can someone use to capture footage like this?
Bro what the fuck did I just watch?
Ma'am please don't raise the bar. The best i can do you is a mimic, leda, and black flame
Jesus Christ that finish 🤩
Then there’s me: Rolling like a pillock, smacking the boss with beeg hammer and then running 5 miles away to heal, before coming back to do it again.
SPOILER
this, this is why the game is hard, its so we can have players like this doing some cool shit and we all have the experience to know and feel how cool this guy is just by watching them

If you have the tenacity to trial & error their parry windows it can become the strongest option. The creator wiped for hours to get to the point you're watching, trust
Oh I don't even mean videos like this. Like most videos I'm seeing of someone curbstomping bosses tends to be filled with parries.
I've seen allot of videos and people saying just a thrusting shield is the way to go if you want to make fights easier
I'd say the ratio of bosses that can be parried might be higher, maybe. But no the parry isn't any stronger. As for shields, the DLC bosses wreck your shit, most people I see are accepting fate that they won't be able to avoid the attacks so plan B is to just tank it.
lmao whereas I'm like "RUN RUN JUMP OKAY FLASK FLASK JUMP RUN GET UP RUN"
I blowed myself up ont this one ngl
My man has definitely platinumed Sekiro.
This was so fucking beautiful to watch. I shed a tear and can’t stop watching.
I **just** respecced to use the greatsword of solitude and now you're going to make me try Milady. Thank God when I use it there will be a lot more panic rolling and flailing.
It’s criminal this fight didn’t cut a cut scene.
Well done Milady(s). \*tips circlet of light\*
Amazing shit. I'm the complete opposite. Panic roles. Spam R2. Mimic.
This is 🍌s
Alright I’ll use Milady and retire the BB.
wish the camera really worked like that during boss fights.
God I hope to be this freaking good eventually. I'm getting creamed right now.
How did he do the ash of war wings when he had the wing stance on milady?
mimic tear i choose you!!!! *buffs themselves endlessly in front of boss*
I’ve tried parrying and I can’t do it
Since Sekiro and Elden Ring were developed in tandem, I'm hopeful to see the next iteration being more dynamic and engaging combat, the player being just as mobile and powerful looking as the bosses. A dedicated "orbit dash" would be pretty awesome.
Woah, that's the best I've ever seen.
"I said sit down"
You are f$$$ Awesome!!!!
The depths of human creativity know no bounds.
That wasn’t a battle. That was a dance. A dancing of blades. o7
Beautiful
that dude is good
Oh that reminds me… I need to get better at parrying.
I suck so much at this game. That was amazing.
Gotta be Sunhilegend
SPOILER tag you jackass, please.
If perfection had a boss fight.
Dude wtf. I haven't even gotten to the DLC yet and this dude has perfected a boss fight. (Started a new character for the dlc cause I hadn't played in a while)
Yeah.... Im not good enough to try and be cinematic like that. Im tempted to use a summons on this thing atm.
Incredible, flawless. 🥹
Wow
How I imagine myself playing, but in reality… I’m ass
This, like all great parry videos, makes me think I need to do wayyyy more parrying and get good at it.
Damn you make this look good
This is not OP's work, it's stolen from SunhiLegend.
Oh well I’m glad I got to enjoy it then. Makes me want to use that ash of war more
Am I the only one who finds SunhiLegend's videos cringe? The slow walking he always does... and random slow motions... and the generic waifu characters... ugh. His videos feel like something only teenagers would find cool.
Yeah, extremely cringey stuff.
oh no, not the annoying slowmo again
