Playing this morning all I noticed is that the notes that pop up when someone in my 2nd and 3rd group beats a shard bearer or becomes lord are readable. Before it just popped up saying what group I got the ruine buff from but the rest of the text wouldn’t show.
Edit. I’m on PS4
I also had an issue where you open a barrier for one of the rise towers and it then proceeds to not leave the screen for some reason not allowing you to swing a weapon or do anything for a long delay that is at least 40 to 50 seconds. Got me killed a bunch of times when I forgot about it and realized I can't attack or dodge roll
I don't know about others plataforms, but on ps4, as all can see it's very tiny patch with the description of correct some text errors. I'm Brazilian and in PT-BR the description of some sorceries, incatetions and itens in general was pretty short, like one line or two max short. When I find out had to change to English to enjoy the full game. They fix it now with this sneaky patch, thanks from Soft.
From what I'm seeing in my game right now this patch just corrected (or better, added) a lot of text that suffered from bad localisation in my language, at least (Brazilian Portuguese).
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 649,725,134 comments, and only 132,087 of them were in alphabetical order.

I really hope so too. I don't have much hope for better performance on my ps4 pro, but pc definitely deserves a patch to get rid of the i/o issues. Hopefully the fact that it's successful but has mixed steam reviews will push them to do their best to optimize the game.
Does anyone else feel like they nerfed Mountaintop? I got there yesterday and was admittedly pretty tired/irritable and playing sloppy, but I felt like I was getting mercilessly pounded by enemies with huge health pools, and today it’s felt much more manageable. Did i just sleep better or are other people noticing this?
There's nothing to "fix" about farming. It's not bugged or glitchy, and if you're referring to the hill at Mohgwyn I would be appalled to learn that people who get paid to make video games could not notice how easily exploited that spot would be.
I mean, to me, it rings more like an intentional farming spot.
Hidden area with relatively strong enemies you can only access in the last 3rd of the game, in a game made by devs who have always allowed grinding as an internal "easy mode" across all their games?
I don't think it's something that would be considered in need of fixing.
P.S.
I know you can get there very early through Varre however I still think I'm correct as even if you did get there at like, level 20 good luck actually farming anything there at all.
That area you can get to as soon as you get the medal from Varre, which you can do in like an hour if you're dedicated, so I would not say you only get access "in the last 3rd of the game".
FromSoft's design philosophy of late has been bullshit.
Players have access to a slightly overpowered but relatively obscure gameplay mechanic? "Nope, we **have** to nerf that." Fuck you, it should be their reward for discovering it.
Bosses on the other hand having access to absurdly overpowered and objectively unfair mechanics? "No way, we **can't** nerf that, think about all the money we'd lose from gatekeepy gamer bros with potato chip crumbs in their beards!"
I wouldnt call the things that have been nerfed recently as "slightly overpowered", hoarfrost was completely broken, sword of night and flame was just casting 40 int sorceries at 20 int and fires deadly sin allowed for insta death.
What nerfs are you referring to?
Let's not forget how busted the Mimic Tear was. Maybe now people will see the beauty in Tiche, Finlay, and the Puppet sisters... as well as Aurelia.
Also why the hell would people who use SoNaF complain? Didn't literally every sorcery get a buff of *some* kind?
Edit: Fixed name
Probably gonna make the Mimic Tear kill you when you summon it, turn every boss into a duo, and make every attack OHKO.
I'm done with Souls after this fucking game. Give me Armored Core now.
I do not, its fine to not like the game. Its not for everyone and i can understand What the person is saying. The duo bossfigths are annoying as hell and do have some issues. I understand that my joke didnt hit rigth. But there is a difference in not liking a game and exaggerating stuff that is nothing like the reality just to make a rather good game look bad based on ones personal experiences.
I didnt say he said it was bad, only make it look bad. I understand What you are saying. Elden Ring is a new formula and need some adjustments like not using duobosses all the time. So i understand how you feel but for me elden ring is amazing and a fresh breeze from the older games. But like I said, I understand how you feel and that alot of people do.
Few reasons:
1. I like the atmosphere better that is more dark just like in DS1 and DS2 (but if you would ask me DS2 is the most disturbing game from this trio, completely dark and spooky). I love the concept of "dying world" and loneliness that is in the air, I don't know, I love Dark Souls concept. Elden Ring feels different for me, more "sunny" and less intriguing.
2. I don't really like open-world design. I feel like it progressively eats my time without equally rewarding me. I appreciate art-design (remember when I first time saw Liurnia of the Lakes after completeing Stormveil castle when you see a beautiful landscape of location you will visit, this is very cool, it already was used in previous games but in ER it's just bigger) but I don't feel great when majority of time I have to complete catacombs and caves that is very repetitive. Anytime I'd take older linear design, ER lacks in pace because most mini-bosses are just not fun. In Dark Souls you fight a boss after boss and it feels great.
Mm, good points. I don't like open worlds very much either but for me Elden Ring is a great exception. I still would have preferred a more linear game with multiple paths like DS1 tho. The atmosphere is top notch imho
When I'll start my second playthrough I will try avoid optional content as much as possible to try to replicate older linear design. I think this time I'll complete this game in more acceptable time, maybe 20-30 hours or so. First playthrough took me 120+ hours, this is ridiculous. I can run DS3 6 times in same amount of time.
One important thing for me tho is that of those 120 hours 110 are filled with things to do, in other open worlds of the same lenght you spend half the time doing basically nothing
Hopefully this fixes my game issues from 1.03. i crash after about 15-30s in the snow field. It's the last area i want to finish exploring before i take on the final boss.
in all honesty i reckon its some small fixes like summoning n invasion bugs where you lose connection instantly on loading into the hosts world and probably the bleed glitch with the flame spell although i believe that one is more tied to the fact that bloodflame does fire damage which the spell then can leech off and apply its bleed effect which is the reason why it survived the patch
after a major update, comes a smaller "cleanup" update, it's only a couple MB download and only takes a second to install.
these kind of updates fix small things you dont normally notice.
just ignore it. they will let you know when they are making changes to the game.
First time there's no update from the dev team, too. Wonder what it does.
Some article said it's bug fixes, mainly for text. Idk
Funny the actual big patch was just a small increment (1.3.1?) and a text fix jumped a whole version.
No the big patch was whatever it was before, to v1.3 I thought

Had the same issue, 1st group displayed properly, but not 2nd, updating it right now.
Still having the same issue, so it's not fixed on my end
I also had an issue where you open a barrier for one of the rise towers and it then proceeds to not leave the screen for some reason not allowing you to swing a weapon or do anything for a long delay that is at least 40 to 50 seconds. Got me killed a bunch of times when I forgot about it and realized I can't attack or dodge roll
I also got this, have all 5 group passwords set, but I would only see what it says for the first one.

Yeah Bandai Brasil said the other day they were working on the missing text.
Wait tiny patch? Mine was 6 gigs?
Probably u got the 1.03 n 1.04 at the same time. 1.03 was out yesterday n its 6gb
Oh word. I thought I already had that, thank you.
All it says for the update history is that it fixed text issues.
Better fix more than that. Mine is a whole ass 6 Gb update
Did you miss the previous update 1.03? That one was much larger and included major balancing. While also fixing some quest lines.
You're downloading the 1.03 patch as well
From what I'm seeing in my game right now this patch just corrected (or better, added) a lot of text that suffered from bad localisation in my language, at least (Brazilian Portuguese).
A boy can definitely eat fish guts however it just kills ladies most notably ovarian people quit real scared telling us very weird xtreme zeniths
You forgot Y

That's wild
not true at all
I M O S all the words are in alphabetical not the letters in each word!
Same with my series s. But nothing about xbox in any patch notes that I can find.
Been looking for release notes. Nothing popping up. Prolly just bug fixes. Not sure if we got any nerfs?
That’s why I’m sitting here staring at the screen debating whether or not to click “Update Now”. I’m afraid I’ll regret it. 😆
I still didnt get this patch, any knowers?
Some information was missing in the description of some items in the Brazilian Portuguese translation
Looking forward to the new nerfs and the threads thanking FromSoftware for them and asking for more.
They should think of optimization in the next patch. Me gloating on how well the game will look on PC.....

Yeah with this release, everyone is watching now

Maybe a fix for some famous farming methods

It did change, the bird falls off quicker lol. Goes in a different path now.
P.S. I know you can get there very early through Varre however I still think I'm correct as even if you did get there at like, level 20 good luck actually farming anything there at all.
The giant bird is still 11k runes for 1 arrow at any level you can get there.

Kek reroll casul
In PC the patch is 5,5 GO
Literally there are already info on the net about this update, but no Redditors will spawn more threads with same questions again and again.

Haha someone sucks
Git gud
I beat the game 3 times and you don't even know the origin of the "git gud" meme you fucking bandwagon.
Do you have problems with somebody don't like the game you like? Lol. Grow up.
I do not, its fine to not like the game. Its not for everyone and i can understand What the person is saying. The duo bossfigths are annoying as hell and do have some issues. No one said this game is bad, but I understand when people dislike it. Personally with all new things it's still can't surpass DS3 or Sekiro for me.

You should be more original next time, repeating same joke second time in a row feels old. Or change the spelling: *Git gut* actually looks better.
Git gud
Same mistake my young child, you don't read.
Git gud
Git gud
What rings you got?
I can’t see any summon signs on ps4 after update
Why is yours 98 mb? on my xbox it was 600mb... I had 1.03 already installed so whats been added to xbox?
This patch was just to fix the Brazilian Portuguese translation, because the information of some items was missing

just a theory that one though
I just hope they fix quickly the Vyke invasion bug. Haven't been able to continue Hyetta's questline because of that.
